We came to Rosa Cantina on a Friday evening. Parking was easy in the plaza, however the place was fully booked. Luckily we got a spot at the bar without waiting. The ambiance is inviting with lots of bigger tables, high tops, and bar seating. Service was quick and friendly. We had the Molcajete de Mariscos with grilled octopus, shrimp, mahi, and scallops simmered in a red spicy molcajete salsa. We also had the pork belly plate and the Serrano and Guaxaca Oaxaca cocktails. To get us started, we ordered the salsa flight with three different salsas. Food was delicious and well balanced. Our absolute highlight was the molcajete, beautifully presented in a rustic pestle and mortar, followed by the salsa flight and the pork belly. Drinks were also amazing and the place not only had a relaxed and fancy vibe but was also good value for money. Definitely on our list for repeat visits when in the area.

    Fabulous burrito

After hearing rave reviews from friends and neighbors for quite a while, I finally had the chance to check this place out--and it absolutely lives up to the hype. I first came in for brunch a few weeks ago with a neighbor and was really impressed, so I knew I had to come back to for. dinner--and I'm glad I did. The atmosphere in the evening is vibrant yet relaxed, with a great energy that makes you want to stay awhile. Presentation of the entrée look like artwork- A special shoutout to our server, Carla, who was an absolute delight--attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. The food was outstanding across the board, and the margaritas? Nothing short of fabulous. If you've been thinking about trying this spot, take it from me--it's well worth it. I'll definitely be back.

Maybe the best Mexican restaurant I've been to outside of Tucson, AZ. Everything was incredible and we'd go back and get the exact same things - the chips and salsas, side of queso, classic margarita, enchiladas, and chicken. It's pretty small so could have a wait

Possibly the best of best Mexican food in Longmont , exceptional service and food has your tastebuds tingling for more. Friday night was buzzing , they don't take reservations, but we only waited 15 mins for a table and definitely worth the wait. Our server Miguel was very polite and delivered amazing and genuine service. Will definitely be back !!!

Sat 12:20pm Carolina our server was attentive, gracious and kind. Why started off with a traditional margaritas. A1 for that. The 2 appetizers taquitos de papa, guacamole we really should not have ordered entrees after that, but what the heck that is what leftovers are for. Caroline my sister ordered a chile relleno. Not your home cooked Mexican food for sure. Home cooked Mexican is great, this is jazzed up in a fantastic way. I had the carnitas ohh so good, even had some pork belly. Roll up your sleeves and dig in. Service is so spot on. The entire staff appreciates being able to serve you with a smile.

    Beautiful finishes!

Wow! What an excellent restaurant! We LOVED their food. I have to say, the best chips and salsas that we've tried in a while! I really enjoyed their grilled romaine salad with chicken(Did you hear me, Grilled ROMAINE LETTUCE!!) My hubby enjoyed 3 tacos; Shrimp, Steak, & Fish! He said they had great flavor! Our waiter Edgar was on top of everything we needed. Love the ambience in this restaurant! Beautiful colors and finishes are well thought out. This restaurant is a must try if you ever find yourself on the north end of Main street in Longmont. Thanks, Rosas!

Queso and chips. We are from Texas, in Texas chips (not with queso) are on the table (free) as soon as you sit down...

Too loud inside for us old (60) folk. Server was slow. We had our food but no silverware. The Tijuana burrito was good, chipotle enchilada was a little bland. See the note on the photo. $45 for two people with no alcohol is a little high.

Sat at bar. Delicious at all levels. Intriguing tastes & a variety of flavors. Had relleno & ceviche. Fresh delicious & spicy as we requested. Service attentive & friendly. Pricing worth it. Will return always when in town!

    Barbacoa Enchiladas

Food: Excellent. I had the chips and salsa/guac. The green salsa was delicious. It had a slight tang to it, and tasted fresh. The red salsa was very, very yummy. It was smoky, and not spicy (which is a good thing for babies like me). I love foods with smoky flavors, and this was no exception. It was also nice because the smokiness wasn't overpowering. The guacamole was also good, nothing too special about it, but still executed well. For my entree I had the Barbacoa Enchiladas. First off, the presentation was exquisite. It looked as if every vegetable had been placed by a tweezer. The Spanish rice and beans were delicious. The rice was the perfect texture for me. The barbacoa meat was done very well, and it was not dry. The most amazing thing on this plate, however, was the mole verde. That was so fresh tasting and really elevated the whole dish. Service: I've been here quite a few times now, and I've had a different waiter every time. Each one has been kind and talkative. The food comes out quickly for how busy it is. Ambience: Great. They have a wall on the side of the restaurant with a mural on it and it looks cool. It is usually very busy, so try to sit at a booth to be able to hear one another. Overall: One of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to, with a gourmet take on everything.

The West Side Tavern is a unique, eclectic bar/restaurant in the middle of a Longmont, CO…read moreresidential neighborhood. We went here for dinner & drinks Sun 8/24/25 on our last evening of our trip to Colorado. A neigborhood gastropub in a renovated 1915 grocery store. They offer a bar with a great selection of premium craft cocktails, whiskies, local beers, & wine. We sat at the bar and ordered our first drinks from the affable Tony S. And it was Happy Hour. Bell's Two Hearted Ale ($8) & Pinot Grigio ($6) - Nice! We looked over the limited menu with selections you won't find in most places. We had a cup of tomato basil soup ($7), mac & cheese ($14) starter/shareable - English red cheddar, parmesan, cavatappi, crispy prosciutto, mushrooms-excellent & piping hot, & steak frites ($34) - grilled 8 oz Angus, rosemary and smoked blue cheese butter, house-cut shoestring fries - perfectly cooked, large portion. Dessert was a delicious cheese cake. If we lived nearby we would certainly try other menu items. The bar has a movie loop on the TV produced by the co-owner. It is a facinating film highlighting classic cartoons, highlights from old movies, & all the glamour & kitsch from the '60 & ' 70s movie & TV. Quite the conversation starter. There is indoor & an outside patio for relaxing. Note: limited parking, but plenty of street parking, just watch for the signage. Hours: Sun-Thu 4-9:30pm, Fri & Sat 3-10pm, Sun brunch 9am-1pm. A serendipitous find which was friendly & fun, with great drinks & food. Staff is excellent. Thanks again to Tony S. We had a fun time. Nick & Liz, Albany, NY USA

I was a little irritated, as it was slightly breezy, but I got over that quick once I tried the food. We had the steak frites, the Thai pork tacos, an old fashioned, and the chocolate decadence for dessert. The steak frites were great- the truffle fries were seasoned with garlic, and served with a great cream sauce. The steak was perfectly cooked rare. Super tender. But the tacos absolutely stole the show. Sweet and spicy with a touch of crunch, and the potato fries were stellar too! The old fashioned really let the whiskey shine, with just a touch of citrus. I think I would try a different dessert though- the decadence was good but didn't quite live up to the tacos. The interior was decorated very cute- mid century modern mixed with plants and some neon signs that said cute things. Our server was excellent- very friendly and on top of it. Overall, I would unquestionably come back next time I am in the area, and suggest you go there too. It's totally worth it.
