I took my mom here on Mother's day. It was PACKED and so busy but since there was only two of us we were seated right away. The inside is fun and cute, a lot like three margaritas but better! I got a margarita with Patron and it was strong and delicious! We LOVED our food. I got the alcapulco fajitas and my mom got some sort of pork dish. When they brought our food to the table we both started laughing because the portions of each dish were enough to feed a family of four! Needless to say we had mexican leftovers for two days. The food was fantastic. My mom is a tough critic on Mexican food as that is her background and she raved about it. I guess this is a chain in Colorado? But I would for SURE come back. I was not a fan of this place for multiple reasons. First off the restaurant smelled like sewage, which is not really what you want to smell while eating food. The salsa for the chips tasted like pasta sauce with some seasonings added and it was terrible. For my entree I got the birra tacos which were okay. The cheese was melted and good but the consomme dip was missing seasoning and flavor. We were with a couple friends so we asked for two checks and I told the lady which card was mine and she charged me for the wrong food. All in all I wasn't impressed and I won't be back. read more

I've lived in Longmont Boulder Lafayette and now back to Longmont. This location had a few previous incarnations and this latest one has been here now for awhile but I have not been here. IT IS EXCELLENT and much more for your money than another restaurants new location in town. I'm so impressed. The service was friendly but very slow. I ordered a crispy chilie relleno and literally had to spit it out into a napkin because it tasted like rancid oil. I also ordered a super weak medium-sized coin style margarita and somehow it cost nearly $30. I feel totally scammed and like I got super low quality food. I would never eat here again. Nice atmosphere with friendly staff. Red salsa was more like tomato sauce, requested habanero Salsa which was much better. Chips were average with most any though not compatible to those actually making them. Had the steak burrito, too much sauce smothered it giving a soggy texture and basically blended with the sauce lacking flavor. We have been here a handful of times and every time it's been great. The atmosphere when you walk in is fun and relaxing. The host seats you patio or indoors not much of a scene outside but it's nice on a beautiful day. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The waitress know their drinks and what's in them. My husband loves the oysters I believe they said they are freshest on Monday's. Couple times we found little pebbles nothing serious but they could have been cleaned better. The drinks are very delicious they have quiet a variety which we love they do have bar seating not a lot but enough. Everything is clean when we go bathrooms an all. Food is great as well not amazing but still tastes good little in the quick easy making then the take your time flavors if you know what I mean. The best of the best in Longmont in regards to Mexican food and strong drinks that would knock even the Chupacabra out after a few. Super friendly staff and most are bilingual which is awesome. Some of the best food I've ever had, no joke! The dishes are so well made, huge servings, and so fresh. For starters try the queso dip. It's served on a sizzling fajitas platter with chorizo mixed in and I swear it made me closer to god. Any of the main courses are ideal, and there are so many things to choose from. The chicken dishes are so damn good! Everything is good! They also make so many awesome margarita options, make sure to explore the menu to see them all before ordering. Tequila's has become a go to when I need to get a Mexican food craving out of the way. Since new ownership the restaurant always appears to be clean and cared for. I've never really had to wait long to be seated. There's usually always a booth open. The food is good quality and the prices are reasonable. A family of 4 can enjoy a good meal that doesn't cost a fortune. The staff are all kind and try to do their best to serve you well. Gracias Tequila's! read more

I ordered dinner through DoorDash from Tequila's and I was not impressed. The cheese dip did not come with chips. The fajitas did not come with tortillas. Refried beans were watery, and the whole beans were unseasoned and unexciting. The fajitas had very little chicken amidst a pile of onions. Super disappointed. read more

This place is awesome. Maybe I'm biased since I'm Mexican and love Mexican food, but even if I wasn't, I would love this place. The decor is amazing, the servers are very nice, and the food is really good. My only complaint is that they bring 2 ketchup bottles, which can get overcrowded, but other than that, this place is amazing. Definitely recommend if you need a new place to eat. read more

We came in here the other day for lunch hoping it might be one of our new favorite spots for Mexican. I liked the decor, one of the staff members was great, but I can't say that I was super impressed with the food. Upon entering, I LOVED the decor. Super colorful, done well, definitely has the esthetic of a fun Mexican restaurant. We were greated by a very nice gentleman who showed us to a table right away. There are TVs everywhere, which I don't love, but whatever. If you like watching TV while out to dinner with your friends or family, they have that. We ordered drinks from a female waitress and she brought everyone's drink, except mine. When we asked about the drink (only after we saw other tables getting their bar drink), she just walked away mumbling something. Eventually I did get the drink, and I'm pretty sure it had zero tequila in it. So, I paid $9 for a grapefruit flavored drink with a lemon and lime wedge. OR, let me give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they put a shot in there, but since it was a 18oz drink, I got 2 oz of weak tequila...I dunno. I can't recommend the cocktails, that's all I know. The food left A LOT to be desired. I've never had more boring pork carnitas in my life. I was surprised how bland it was as the description of the Golden Burrito promised lots of green chilies and verde flavors. Yeah, no. There was some verde sauce on top of the enchilada sized burrito, but the inside was super dry. We paid and left. With so many options for Mexican food, I won't rush back here. read more

First time coming to this restaurant.. service was friendly. Great food ! Normally when I eat Carne Asada in other restaurants it's dry but here was a complete different experience. The meat was juicy and cooked just right .. I loved it. It's not cooked too much that by the time it got to me it's to dry. Definitely coming back! Really disappointing, bland, uninspired and cheap tasting food. My wide and I wanted Mexican for dinner and decided to give this place a try. I was depressed by how expensive the menu was, most things are $15. We're talking burritos and quesadillas. I had the Super Burrito with beef. The beef was poorly seasoned if at all, I wasn't impressed. My wife had the chicken fajita quesadilla, again, bland and uninspired. The cheese tasted low quality, like colby. This place is amazing! My fiancé and I just moved to Longmont and to celebrate after unloading on moving day we thought we'd give Tequila's a try. We were so pleased with our experience! At first I was bummed to find out it was a chain and not a local restaurant. But the delicious food, excellent service, and awesome drink menu made up for it! We had the Pollo A La Diabla and Burritos Tricolor to eat. Both were very delicious and enough for left overs for another meal. As for their drinks, skip the house margarita, which was a little bland, and go for the Michelada and Mangoneada which were stellar! I'm pretty disappointed by my experience. My wife specifically asked for our guacamole and sour cream to be put in a different container. The nice hostess assured us this would be done and indeed asked the kitchen staff to do so. However the kitchen staff didn't oblige and when I received the food all the food was covered in sour cream. I asked her the hostess to rectify this by at least giving me rice but her manager shot that down and wanted to charge me for it. This could have been an excellent experience but the manager really failed at that. read more

From an esthetic point of view, the restaurant was clean with the exception of the windows, dusty and just seemed neglected. Staff was friendly, might need just a tad bit more customer service but over all we were taken care of. This replaced Efrains III, and we hoped with all power of positive thinking, tibetan prayer beads, some offerings to Thor and friends, plus a smudge stick burning and good ol fashioned wishing, that they could match the excellence that Efrains was bestowing on the mexican food lovers of south longmont. To their credit, Tequilas gave us a good vibe and big smiles. One of the previous efrains employees even gave us a look joy to see old efrains regulars. But that's where the good times ended. The chips came along with flavorless salsa. The margaritas were filled with ice as another reviewer commented. The plates were giant and the food was so-so. So we paid the high bill for quantity and not quality. Just ordered take-out for Mother's Day, and it was a real treat. Tequila's has been one of our favorite restaurants over the past few years, and we were worried because of the shutdowns that we might never get to have it again! Food was ordered by phone, and was ready in 15 minutes. It was hot and fresh, and placed in great aluminum to-go pans. They even included complimentary chips and salsa with the order. I am done with this restaurant. The first time or two that I went I had good food such as the Pepe Pino Camerones, Camerones a mojo de ajo and Burrito Jalisco. Tonight I ordered the fish fillet. When the waiter set the plate down I actually pulled back, the fish smell was so overpowering. I eat a lot of fish and the first rule of thumb is that fish should not smell fishy. This fish was off in smell and flavor! Yet the chef prepared it and the waiter brought it out. Really not ok! A friend ordered the carnitas and she said it is the first time she has ever had carnitas with so little flavor and was so tough. I prefer broth based soups over cream based soups. One of my favorites is chicken tortilla soup. Their chicken tortilla soup is the most tasteless soup I have eaten. I don't think the chicken even walked through the pot. Enchilades rojas is a hit and miss. One time the meat is very flavor full and tender and the next time, again no flavor and tough. The skinny fish tacos another one that is very inconsistent in how it is served. One time the fish was fresh, one solid slice of fish tasty and easy to eat in the lettuce wrap. The next time is broken fish, oily and ripped up lettuce. I am taking this restaurant off my list. Too many good Mexican restaurants in this town to waste time and money when the food is so hit and miss!! read more

I dined with Tequila's this Wednesday night 12/14/16. I was very disappointed. I had chicken mole enchiladas which is a dish that is hard to mess up. The chicken tasted like it was from a can and the mole had very little taste to it. Watered down from the rich Mexican chocolate gravy that it should have been. I ordered a house Margarita, rocks, salt. There was so much ice in the glass that I only got about four good sips and I was done. Marg wasn't bad but for $7.50, the quantity was disappointing. Prices throughout the menu seemed high. My dinner was a bit over $20. I won't be returning anytime soon. read more
