What an awesome find! The atmosphere was great! Music was good and at a level where you could sing along or have a chat. I loved the big beams and the bar, it was cozy masculine that had a female welcome. The bar tender was so sweet and she was very knowledgeable about the cocktails as well as all the drafts. We had the best time here on a recent Sat. evening! I'm from Denver so I LOVE LOVE LOVE low-key Longmont. The distillery is located on the edge of a beautiful old residential neighborhood with easy parking and the perfect atmosphere (we sat inside near the open garage door). I wasn't a whiskey drinker (yet!) and the bartender was patient and good natured about our questions and general silliness...I don't know, something about easy parking right in from of a cool establishment like that kicked us into high gear. We loved the booze but the best part of the night was the entertainment. If you get a chance to hear 25 year old Montana Sands, don't miss out! They're off the chart. What a wonderful little gem just off the main drag in Longmont. I was in town for a quick visit with a local friend and we headed in here for a couple of fancy drinks before dinner. There weren't many customers around us until the live music started up on that Friday night. The music was great! Though the venue didn't provide much sound absorption so it was difficult to have a conversation while seated at the bar. The drinks were priced at an acceptable rate in my opinion and each one I tasted was better than the last. This will become a stop-in staple for me when back in the area. read more

We went here last night after a wedding and it's a cool spot with an assortment of drinks made with whiskey. The prices were drink are around $9 which isn't bad considering a mixologist makes the drinks and they're pretty fancy too. They have plenty of seats too so you can have a larger party in there. We stopped in on Saturday while following the Colorado spirits trail and split a flight and a mixed drink. We tried the fire, cinnamon and ginger whisky, Tinys Octoberfest malt whisky, Lusca spiced rum ( one of our favorites) , the Amaro Arancia ( a bitter orange liqueur) the leviathan black rum which we also liked a lot and the last waltz bourbon which I thought was a great sipping bourbon. We have been coming to Longtucky now for a few months and it just amazing. Their spirit are some of the best, I am a Gin guy and I have to tell you their Gin is Da Bomb. And speaking of Bomb, OMG, get a Cherry Bomb WOW!!! The atmosphere then live music and the special events!!! You just can not go wrong. I stopped in quite by accident and it was a wonderful stop! I came during mid-day on the weekend so I can't attest to a weekend evening, or any evening. ;) They are currently working on rum and whiskey I believe. Obviously since they are so new, the alcohol isn't aged much and is a bit rough on the front end, but immediately after tastes quite smooth. I imagine as it ages it will improve and is already pretty good for a new batch! The bartender was very nice and did a good job of being attentive and explaining their wares even though it was so new. She was super friendly and suggested wonderful drinks. I like the whiskey and rum both and decided on purchasing a bottle of rum. Support local! Since it was so quiet I don't know if it would be super loud when it's busy but the interior was welcoming and they did a great job of capturing the "hipster" look while not trying too hard. It was like a distillery version of a guy with the hipster beard but not overdoing it by growing the train-robber mustache. I will definitely go back and see how they are doing when they've been open a bit longer. I would recommend giving them a shot and wish them well as a new business as a distillery literally surrounded by beer joints. My critique would be perhaps one or two more drinks on the menu, I like variety though and the swag is honestly, on the steep side. I really wanted to get a shirt to sport and share the place so my friends could go, but dang, the shirts were on the steep side. I know buying those at breweries and the like aren't cheap, but please perhaps consider lowering it a skosh! read more

This place is good.... although I think the product is rushed. I felt strange about trying the whiskey which is clear and not aged. I bet this place will have dynamite product once they have been running a few years longer. That being said, the owners are lovely and work behind the bar with their employees. Service is great and drinks are nice and strong! They also change up their drinks from season to season. Lots of opportunities to catch live music and yoga classes in the weekend. Dropped by for the first time for comedy night that they do on Thursdays and had a great time. Cocktails are on point, and they make a ton of different stuff, from whiskey to rum to gin and more. I got a strawberry gin and tonic and their take on a mint julep, and both were delicious. Tasting room is pretty cool with the copper and wood details. They also have an outdoor area at the front with tables and astroturf. Will definitely check it out again soon when in the Longmont area read more

Do not go here!!! Very rude and exceptionally bad customer service! Went in with my husband and we were ignored for 20 min. The bartender had no interest in serving us drinks!!! Their were 3 patrons that walked up to the bar after us that were served right away. The bartender would not even look at us, even when we thanked her for our drinks. My last straw was when we went back to the bar and with a rude tone, was asked "what do you need!" I tried to order one more drink for the night, and was told "NO, I am cleaning the bar." Look over 2 seconds later and the bartender is serving another patron after she told me "NO"! As a business owner in Longmont CO. Customer service is key, and at Longtucky they dont care about their customers. read more

Thought I was walking to my death when trying to find Longtucky Spirits. The locations is a touch obscure in the building it's in, but the inside is quite lovely. The drinks were tasty and I enjoyed spending my Sunday afternoon here. They also had drink specials which was really nice. If you are in Longmont I'd say it's worth stopping by! read more

We went opening night because friends of ours told us about it...we walked in and they were busy but not crazy. They only had two bartenders for opening night and we waited at the bar for at least 15 minutes before someone even acknowledged us. When she finally did she was not friendly whatsoever and took another 10 minutes to make 4 drinks-3 straight whiskeys and a mojito, seriously?! On top of that they barely poured me one shot for a straight whiskey...it was $10! We are all about supporting local business but this was ridiculous and the whiskey wasn't that good. read more

Wonderful addition to downtown Longmont. Nice break from the craft brew scene which is getting a bit overwhelming in Boulder County. Atmosphere is great. Dark and cool spot with soft lighting and natural wood/metal accents. Not quite rustic, but maybe rustically modern...? Cocktails- very creative and across the board. From na old staple such as an old fashioned, to a funky creative blend using local fresh fruits. Prices- fair. $7-$10 cocktails. I consider them a good value for the quality. Service - this is my only gripe. The service is, and many have commented to me, a bit slow. If the bar is empty, expect a cocktail in 3-4 minutes. If the bar is full, some have waited upwards of 15+. I think simple staffing could alleviate some of this. They are new, so are just feeling out their "prime times", however it's a problem that needs some attention. I've overheard some people complaining about not coming back and have seen plenty simply walk out. I also think that having staff circle the bar more often to offer refills would help, rather than having to walk up and order each time. I still give it 5 stars for its uniqueness, quality and location. The service can be worked on and again, they are less than a month old. read more

I've had one good experience here, and two bad, so I feel OK sharing what I'm about to say...On the two bad experiences, the place was almost empty (maybe 3-5 other patrons), despite having a band performing and at 7 PM on a Saturday. Both times, they had two bartenders working, yet no one acknowledged us. Even when I went to the bar to order our drinks, I was ignored. The first time this happened, I sort of brushed it off and finally piped up and asked if we could order something. The one bartender seemed completely inconvenienced to wait on me. I should've closed my tab out then, because when I went back to the bar to do that, he made me wait 10 minutes before finally asking if I needed something. I figured maybe they were just having a bad night, except a month later the same thing happened. This time we just left and declared we'd never go back. I'm all about supporting local business but this was ridiculous...and the drinks are way too expensive for the quality. I'd rather go around the corner to the St. Vrain Cidery where they make you feel welcome and seem genuinely happy to serve you. read more

I had high hopes for this place but was extremely let down. I went with my parents and partner, there was only one other person at the bar. It took awhile for the bartender to give us menus and to even acknowledge us and take an order. The hot buttered rum was tasty but everything else was lackluster and overpriced. My Dad likes drinking his booze on the rocks so he tried the flight of all of their products and only finished 2 of the 6 pours he was given. I have never seen this man pass on a drink before, but he left some on the bar when we left the establishment. Some of their spirits are unpalatable, they're over spiced to compensate for the bad flavor. In mixed drinks you can mask these flavors but drinking them straight is not suggested. The owner rolled in while we were drinking and came off as very rude and like he was better than everyone else (aka douchebag). He also called my partner a glutard which is extremely offensive and uncalled for when speaking with customers you've never met. We didn't feel very welcomed and left after one round of drinks. I have no plans of ever returning nor suggesting people visit this distillery. read more
