I've been to Martini's a couple times and believe those were 2 of the best meals I've eaten in Colorado. The food is memorable. The service is great and the ambiance is that of a house so not too noisy. First visit I had a pork chop on a polenta cake. There was a sauce that included dates and large chunks of bacon. The second time was a piece of salmon on a bed of a pasta with red peppers and other ingredients. It had all 5 flavor profiles (salty, sweet, sour, umami, bitter) in one dish. Absolutely wonderful birthday dinner! This little gem is a great spot for special occasions or just a date night out. Their menu rotates often, and everything is so good! We came here for my birthday and everything was delicious. I had a classic dirty martini, that was top notch. The salads, entrees, service and everything was wonderful. Our server was amazing- I don't recall his name but his eyeliner was kicking. Super attentive and funny. We will definitely be back. I'm glad we have a place like this in the community! This restaurant scores high marks in all areas - service, ambiance, drinks and food! When it's warmer out they also have a large outdoor patio. The restaurant is located in an old charming house. It looks like the interior was recently renovated. It is both warm and elegant. There are many different rooms where one can sit including a small bar area. There is free street parking. The service was excellent. The host was friendly. Our waiter was so nice and checked on us several times during our visit. All o the courses were delivered in a timely manner. The food was delicious. We ordered the Wedge Salad. I loved the unusual addition of pears. We ordered the Baby Back Ribs and Peach And Bourbon Glazed Boneless Short Ribs. Again, these entrees had special ingredients including an orange and apricot glaze on the ribs. For dessert we ordered the Flourless Chocolate Cake which came with vanilla ice cream. The combination of the warm and cold was wonderful. There was also a large drink list. We ordered the Phoenix Martini and Vesper cocktail. We both thought our choices were delicious. Really great little local place with class. Amazing outside seating when weather permits and the inside is essentially an old home converted. People are amazing and attentive. I love local places with character. We had the pork chop (spectacular flavor with some panceta on top - don't be afraid to get it medium) with an amazing rosemary polenta (super crisp outside and buttery inside) With a crab cake on the side - I'd have to say the crab cake was just a little fishy and could have been crisper - I'm not sure I would choose it as my main course so we got it as a side. Their aioli is anchovy based which was a nice little kick - Its funny, if you are not told what the flavor is you would swear it was slightly "curry" but it was a nice add to the crab. Not shown in my pics was a buffalo meatball app with tzatziki - the meatballs are ok - buffalo is naturally kind of lean/dry - but that tzatziki was amazing - clearly fresh made with thick greek yoghurt and really fresh herbs. It was a gamechanger for the dish. Pros: * Great atmosphere - very date night worthy * drink selection is amazing and creative - gives you a lot to talk about and ponder * Amazing people and a local place with class Good/Cons: * Food was good - a 5/5 on a "Longmont" scale but overall really a 3/5. I left thinking "that was good" but not "man we need to come back here as soon as we can"... Satisfied but not blown away. A step above pumphouse - probably on par with the Roost (local places). Not as good as Sugarbeet. * It seems like it is always kind of quiet and reserved - I definitely like being able to talk to my date/wife (always my wife if that was unclear) but not so quiet I'm uncomfortable with lively conversation. Too much fluff, not enough substance. 3 scallops and one crab cake was 52 bucks I went there for Easter brunch, and waited for 90 minutes for our meal. They weren't prepared for the meal. The place was about 70% full, no excuse for the long wait. The crab cakes I assume were pre made. Just had to be fried, and how long does it take to sear 3 scallops? We had a really unfortunate experience last night, where almost everything was wrong - both from the kitchen and the service. It took 45 minutes just to get cocktails - for which I had to ask twice on status. The baked Brie appetizer was good, but wasn't served with enough bread. When we asked for more, it didn't come until our meals arrived. The seared tuna was WAY over cooked. The crab cake was fried WAY too long. The steaks were cooked fine, but the quality was terrible - tough and stringy. And one steak had sauce and the other did not. A few of the dishes we tried to order were also not available for some reason. The service was TERRIBLE. After initially ordering, a new server was assigned and she was still in training (which is fine) but should have never been left on her own. It's a sign of bad management to put someone new, with no training, in a situation like that. As we left, we tried to find someone to give feedback back too (besides our server in training), and there was no manger to be found. Unfortunately, will probably not be back. Oh wait, I already did ;D We ordered: (Complimentary Bread) The Winnie = 4 STARS Dirty Martini = 3 STARS Steak Kabobs = 4 STARS Crab Cake & Scallops = 5 STARS New Zealand Rack of Lamb = 5 STARS So let's break it down... We absolutely loved the presentation of the martinis. They were brought out in personal silver shakers then shaken and served on the spot. It was a fun spark to the evening! They were delightful, refreshing and well-appreciated. So why the 3 STARS on the Dirty Martini? For us, it was the olives. For the vibe of the establishment, we were expecting to be served a fancier olive pairing. That's all. We ordered the Steak Kabobs for an appetizer. They had a delicious glaze over them that accompanied the horseradish sauce beautifully. So why the 4 STARS? They were slightly more well-done than I prefer. A few of my bites would be medium, while others were medium-well. The bites that were a true medium were full of so much more flavor than the medium-well ones. It made me think if they were a medium-rare the flavors would have popped even more. Now, we LOVED our entrees. They were incredible presentations, seasoned to perfection and generous portions. My Crab Cake & Scallops were served with Asparagus, Potatoes and a lovely lemony sauce. Everything was textbook. I'd order it again and again! My husband's Rack of Lamb was served with seared gnocchi and lima beans. We'd typically never order lamb but our waiter recommended it and I'm glad we listened. It was outstanding. I really enjoyed the rub they put on the lamb. It was full of black pepper, which is my favorite. Overall, we were very impressed and highly recommend dropping in! Martinis were pretty good and the crème brûlée was up there - they used real vanilla bean which is crucial in my book. Hubs got the steak and was underwhelmed, he didn't think it was worth the price. I had muscles and mushroom soup which were actually very yummy! I don't think this will make it back on to a date night anytime soon... so I have to give it three stars. It was too expensive for not loving the food or drinks. Maybe we'll give it another try someday but I don't think anytime soon. Side note - my mom loves this place for lunch! Martini's is great. We've never had a disappointing meal here. The scallops and crab cake are my favorite entree on the menu, and my husband loved the steak. They also have an excellent happy hour! You can easily make a meal between cocktails and appetizers. It's a great way to spend an afternoon, especially on the patio (my favorite time of year for that is fall). The cocktails are innovative, interesting, and delicious. They're also not for the faint of heart (read: they are strong). I love that they also have interesting mocktails/alcohol free options! Very inclusive, and sometimes you just want to sip something interesting without necessarily getting a buzz. Servers are very friendly and always on top of things. Really nice service. And the pork chop tonight did not disappoint. Truly amazing. And whatever they did to their wedge, I hope they keep it up. Very unique and freakin' delicious. Our server was really good as well, very knowledgeable and persuasive in the right way. Outdoor patio ambiance is fantastic. (Indoors feels a bit stuffy, so really glad for the expanded patio.) We dined here on a quiet Sunday night. A party that of 8 to celebrate a graduation. The patio was lovely, as was the live music playing, which was enjoyed and not too loud. Our food was great. However, more than half of the items we hoped to order, including 3/5 dessert items were 86'd. So we had to change course (pun intended) more than once. Considering they use a QR code for their menu you'd think they either be able to update their menu to reflect availability or modernize their inventory procurement process. Also, the server and assisting wait staff delivered every second plate to the wrong diner, and even messed up who was paying the bill and a spoon was dropped on one person's shoulder at one point. We went for the Easter Brunch and along with the bottomless Mimosas we started off with Apple Fritters and Honey Butter. 3 LARGE fritters were served by Jessica along with the Honey Butter and man, they were outta of this world. They were loaded with apples and were awesome. I ordered the Venison Sausage & Artichoke Frittata. Every bite was delicious. The sausage was done perfectly and the combination of flavors was well balanced. Come hungry as the portions served are generous, you can always take any leftovers home with you in a provided box. First time there. Forgot to take any pictures because I was enjoying it so much. My wife and I went and had a great experience! The greeting was prompt, polite and courteous and we were seated right away. As the weather was nice, we sat out on their expansive patio. Service was professional, knowledgable and engaging. I had the Rack of Lamb and my wife enjoyed the Scallops and Crab Cake. Everything was cooked to exactly to our preferred temp and plating was fantastic. The meal was great! We just relocated back to Northern Colorado a few months ago and is the best meal we've had since we've been back. We followed up with a Creme Brulee and their Tiramisu. My steak was medium rare and not medium well (yes, I like it that way) and it was chewy. Our server never came around once we got our food to check on us, so my husband shared his meal with me. They did reduce our bill after asking us if that would make us happier. We did really appreciate that but would have rather had a really good steak on our anniversary and not have to negotiate a discount . The chef did see the order was for medium well after our server pointed it out, but read it as medium rare. Perhaps you shouldn't own an 1880 Victorian if you can't afford to heat it. Especially when it makes the food cold the second it touches our table. 4! Industry "professionals," huh? So professional one of them didn't know the menu and had to go ask someone else when we inquired what cheeses they were. One who couldn't pour a beer to save his soul. Our waitress was great. No complaints with her. And if you're calling yourself an industry professional, i hate to break it to you, but you're rude, unaccountable for errors, and if I sent Gordon Ramsey in there you'd be shut down with the "quality" of your dishes and food. Read your other reviews on Yelp, Google, and Facebook. Sorry, we aren't the only ones who think your food is overpriced and underwhelming. Many, many comments about the old Martinis before you took over being the better experience and many who won't be back. Take a cue from your dissatisfied patrons and DO BETTER!! Quit passing the buck and blaming it on your customers and insulting us, our wardrobes, and our taste. We spent $216 in your cold ass restaurant on a holiday and this is how you thank us!! Because this place is so popular we made reservations and arrived early. My first impression was from the hostess telling us the reservation was meaningless and we needed to wait outside in the cold for at least 30 minutes. We are off to a bad start. We're now 20 minutes waiting and still no drink service as was promised. Ok, a little grace - took drink order at 23 minutes and owner explained this was the busiest night of the summer. 40 minutes and still no drinks. The conversation of our party has turned to discussing alternate plans for dinner since they are now seating people that arrived after us and they are serving drinks to people that also arrived after us. At 45 minutes we got a table. We finally got our drinks including a beer in a lap. At 90 minutes we finally have dinner- was it worth the wait? Well, the food was really good. The atmosphere is very nice, service is terrible, food is good. Mixed bag. We will need to try it again but the performance did not match they hype, price, or potential. read more

When staying in Longmont, I saw Martini's featured on Yelp, so thought we would try it. They have a great outdoor space and an extensive happy hour menu. We sample spicy mussels, truffle fries, the Brie appetizer, and the scallop appetizers along with some cocktails. It was a wonderful day to be outside and enjoy el fresco dining and Martini's was perfect for it. Where to start....When I wrote my previous review this place was under different ownership. As I sit here writing this review on the patio it couldn't be more obvious. Please don't rely on my earlier review as nothing is the same. This place used to be awesome. It had good food, good service and a positive vibe. Unfortunately the new owners have no idea how to run a restaurant. We've been here since it was ChiSars and when it was the "old" Martini's it had a positive vibe with some energy and basically was an enjoyable place to have dinner or drinks. Flash forward to today and as I look around I see a sad little place that is facing a slow demise. Three years ago this place would have been packed at 8:00 on a Saturday night. You might not even get in here unless you had a reservation. Not anymore. There are 3 tables on the patio on a Saturday evening in June. There's only one reason: the new owners. It feels like someone walked into a party, took it over and yanked all the drinks away and shut off the music. That's what it feels like. To the new owners: Please consider selling this restaurant to someone who really knows what they're doing and cares. If nothing else bring in managers with outside experience or let the people that are still there from Martini's before you bought it and give them 100% decision making authority. I mean this in a good way. Know your limits and your limits do not include knowing how to run a restaurant. Food was overpriced and pretty bland. To be honest, it's always been a little overpriced but at least it used to have flavor. I literally had the same dish I've had many times just to be safe and yes, it's also gone downhill. Go back to the way the food was prepared. Oh and the drinks are overpriced too, sorry, but they are. However, I used to pay for overpriced drinks and food because it was a place with a different feel. Not anymore. Oh, and just to test my theory that it was the new owners, I went over to Samples on Main St. (owned by the same people who recently bought Martini's) to see how their rooftop patio is doing. This place often busy and a reservation is recommended. We went on a Monday night with friends and had a decent time. The hit of dinner was the arugula salad, very big by the way. The "wedge" or their take on it was a let down. Small pieces of romaine (?) without blue cheese or bacon and added pepitas and shredded Parmesan cheese. The mushroom soup got good reviews as did the scallops. I had the pork chop which was cooked perfectly however the fried (?) block of polenta that it sat in was not great. Been to Martini's Bistro several times over the past couple years. Housed in an old house lends some charm to the place but can also make it a bit crowded as they try to fit as many tables in their space as possible. Their 4-top tables are actually too small for 4 people to sit at with appetizers, drinks, salads, entrees. The staff is always very nice & accommodating, knowledgeable. Their wine list is very limited, about 5 whites & 5 reds, none of which have any age to them. Their menus offers some nice options between meats and vegetarian options, however there's always some sauce or side with an entree that seems out of place. For example, their burrata has whole cashews added to the plate for some reason and there's a red sauce that the cheese sits on that tastes like a red pepper puree and cumin, which is an odd combo with the traditional Italian cheese. Similarly, the seared ahi tuna, which comes with Kalamata olives, cucumber & feta cheese, is served with a sort of couscous in a tomato sauce with cumin (again) which gives it a more Mexican taste than Mediterranean. They've always seemed to add an odd, conflicting flavor to some of their dishes which can be off putting. A safe bet to to order their steak, which always comes prepared in a traditional way. Beware of the crab cake-good flavor but the last several times I've had it there are little pieces of shell in it, making it inedible. read more

He made us comfortable sitting outside, which we requested, despite our fairly late-hour arrival. We had some great cocktails and shared a dessert.
