Our dog (Ellie) printed on a Speckled Hen Nitro Beer!

I came in for a drink after work and was stoked to have found my go to place! Awesome food selections and great beers on tap. They can print pictures on your Nitro beers - so cool! My bartender was Andrea and she was great, very friendly and attentive to all her customers. I ended up coming back later for dinner with my girlfriend, we had the shepherds pie, chicken pot pie and an order of the egg rolls - all the food was great! We will be back on Saturday to celebrate a family members birthday! Can wait to print a birthday message on their beer! Keep it up Mike O'Shays! (if that's your real name)

O'Shay's has been a Longmont staple for over 43 years. In years past, any Weekend night it was packed with up to an hour wait. We went last night and the restaurant was scarce at 7 pm. No problem getting a table. The interior has been left untouched which is nice to see. It had been several years since we had been in. The menu has changed, although something's have remained like bangers and mash, fish and chips, and a few other dishes.

Old Fashioned interior design and super service along with Tasty Food and Beverages where else but Mike O'Shays. We walked in thru the back door and were cordially greeted by Triston who showed us to our starts in seconds flat. He handed us our menus and came back for our selections. For lunch we ordered the Corn Beef Rueben and Crispy Fries and an order of Poutine. Poutine is a dish I was introduced to in Canada. Usually when you have it here in the States it's just gravy and cheese served over fries. But at O'Shays it's like you're in Montreal. It is well done. The fries are smothered in melted cheese curds and delicious gravy but unlike most Poutine it also has short rib cut into perfect size pieces. The list of beverages is very large and they have anything you can image to complement your selected food choices.

Pork schnitzel dinner

This restaurant/ pub is a great place for good food and drinks. We went at 6:30 pm on a Sunday night and were seated right away. We started with a Moscow mule and peachtini, which were quite good. We ordered the Bavarian pretzel with cheese. The pretzel was warm and soft. The cheese was ok. I thought it could have more flavor. We both ordered the pork schnitzel - sandwich and dinner. The dinner was outstanding! The pork, topped with brown gravy, had good flavor, no fat, and cooked well. The sides were also tasty. The sandwich had garlic aioli added for a nice zing. The waffle sweet potato fries were crisp while still soft inside. You won't be disappointed!

Solid beer choices and great food. If you get a nitro brew they'll even print an image in the foam which is cool.

The bartenders anytime I've gone in are attentive and one will even get you another drink without you having to ask until you say stop or from what I saw from an inebriated patron she says stop. They serve pizza and snacks from a little pizza oven, it's not your first choice for dinner but if you get munchies while there it's convenient. The jukebox is awesome, download the app and you can play music from your seat. If it's dead, and no music is playing most of the bartenders will put it on free play so you can just play music at will. For free. Don't come here expecting high class service, but if you want to drink a cold beer with some fun outgoing regulars then this is your spot. Expect to engage in conversation with a stranger here it's just the environment. COVID NOTES: Masks are not required as of yet, but seating at the bar is not available. The West Side Tavern is a unique, eclectic bar/restaurant in the middle of a Longmont, CO…read moreresidential neighborhood. We went here for dinner & drinks Sun 8/24/25 on our last evening of our trip to Colorado. A neigborhood gastropub in a renovated 1915 grocery store. They offer a bar with a great selection of premium craft cocktails, whiskies, local beers, & wine. We sat at the bar and ordered our first drinks from the affable Tony S. And it was Happy Hour. Bell's Two Hearted Ale ($8) & Pinot Grigio ($6) - Nice! We looked over the limited menu with selections you won't find in most places. We had a cup of tomato basil soup ($7), mac & cheese ($14) starter/shareable - English red cheddar, parmesan, cavatappi, crispy prosciutto, mushrooms-excellent & piping hot, & steak frites ($34) - grilled 8 oz Angus, rosemary and smoked blue cheese butter, house-cut shoestring fries - perfectly cooked, large portion. Dessert was a delicious cheese cake. If we lived nearby we would certainly try other menu items. The bar has a movie loop on the TV produced by the co-owner. It is a facinating film highlighting classic cartoons, highlights from old movies, & all the glamour & kitsch from the '60 & ' 70s movie & TV. Quite the conversation starter. There is indoor & an outside patio for relaxing. Note: limited parking, but plenty of street parking, just watch for the signage. Hours: Sun-Thu 4-9:30pm, Fri & Sat 3-10pm, Sun brunch 9am-1pm. A serendipitous find which was friendly & fun, with great drinks & food. Staff is excellent. Thanks again to Tony S. We had a fun time. Nick & Liz, Albany, NY USA

While we allow children... we are not a family restaurant. I'm shocked that after you were enlightened to our lack of a high chair you went postal, bad reviews, ranting on next door, calling the tavern and yelling at the staff... all because you wanted a high chair... you have official earned your full KAREN badge. I can't wait to watch you fail. The issue is not children. The issue is your rudeness I graciously offered to delete my reviews. If you would just admit that you were rude, but your ego is too big for that. The weight of that ego will crush you. I would hope you would do the same but expect you would just lay down and take it.

We were also offered bar seating or the enclosed patio- so there are many options. Based on others reviews, we needed to order the banging cauliflower- and it was excellent. Highly recommend. I ordered the Chilean salmon and it was HUGE so took half of it home for lunch tomorrow. Very tasty. Husband has the crab cakes- they were pretty thin but there were three of them. It would have been better with more lump crab- the sauce and sweet potatoes were tasty. Our cousin enjoyed her ahi tuna bowl. Service was excellent! laurel took great care of us. I was a little irritated, as it was slightly breezy, but I got over that quick once I tried the food. We had the steak frites, the Thai pork tacos, an old fashioned, and the chocolate decadence for dessert. The steak frites were great- the truffle fries were seasoned with garlic, and served with a great cream sauce. The steak was perfectly cooked rare. Super tender. But the tacos absolutely stole the show. Sweet and spicy with a touch of crunch, and the potato fries were stellar too! The old fashioned really let the whiskey shine, with just a touch of citrus. I think I would try a different dessert though- the decadence was good but didn't quite live up to the tacos. The interior was decorated very cute- mid century modern mixed with plants and some neon signs that said cute things. Our server was excellent- very friendly and on top of it. Overall, I would unquestionably come back next time I am in the area, and suggest you go there too. It's totally worth it.
