My margarita
Kristen A.

So I'll start off, this place has amazing breakfast burritos and their waitstaff is phenomenal. That said, we came here for a dine in dinner tonight and it just didn't hit the Mark. No drink menu which isn't horrible but it's no fun for staff to rattle off their various drink options when I could just read and order. The Margarita I did have was pretty good though. They start you off with chips and salsa. Sing off my chips had too much salt, some had no salt. The salsa was watery and had no flavor. My husband ordered the quesadilla supreme. He asked for beef and got chicken, one portion of the quesadilla was just cheese. It looked great but was bland. Rice and beans tasted store bought. I got the tacos dorados which looked great but the meat was watery and there was a huge portion of lettuce that took over the taco. The tacos had no flavor so i don't know if they season their meat with anything. I used the salsas that came on the side and that helped some. Overall? Nice place good atmosphere and great staff. They just need to up their food game because we'd rather drive the 10-15 minutes to Hacienda Jalisco or Rancheros. We will keep coming for those breakfast burritos though!

My friend who used to live in Mead wanted to try this place, so who am I to say no to tacos? Looking at the menu they have quite a few items you can order a la carte, so I decided to try a chicken enchilada, a soft chile relleno, a taco dorado, and a taco al pastor. The chicken enchilada I received barely had any meat in it. It was flat on the two open ends of the enchilada and the center had maybe one or two bites of chicken in it. It tasted good but it was a dissapointment that it wasn't a full enchilada. The soft chile relleno was probably the best item of the four. It wasn't fully stuffed with cheese, but the flavor of the relleno with the green chile on top was really delicious. The taco dorado barely had any meat or cheese in it, and it was super flavorless. When I think of a taco dorado, I think of it being more of a fried, meaty, cheesy yumminess. This taco just wasn't what I was expecting and I would not order it again. The taco al pastor tasted really great, but again, not much filling to it at all. Our waitress Jasmine was great. She was super warm, welcoming, and friendly. Super personable. I'd give her a star alone for her service, but the food kind of brought down my rating. Overall, yes I would return in the future to give them another try. I understand that they are a newer joint, so I'm hoping they can get their tacos in line for a better review in the future.

Shocked at how expensive the prices were. Add $5 to every item you see online. Food was very mediocre for the price.

Good food and friendly service in this locally owned business. Restaurant on the main level and a bar upstairs.

Great breakfast items! Locally owned small business that is one of my go to stops whenever I'm in the area.

If I had someone to be my designated driver I would have had the 2 for 1 margaritas which is a Monday special. The restaurant interior was bright and funky! There are tables and booths available. The bar area has an extensive selection of tequila. I've seen bottles that I've never seen before. Our server was so friendly and extremely attentive. Both our drinks and food were served in a timely manner. I ordered the Horchata and it was delicious! I ordered the chicken fajitas for lunch and the portion was huge! I was definitely able to take some home. The food tasted so fresh. In addition to the 2 for margaritas on Monday, I am so impressed by the number of daily specials this restaurant has. Other specials include $3 taco Tuesdays, 2 for 1 Mezcalitos on Wednesdays and 2 for 1 cocktails on Thursdays for the ladies. There is also a Happy Hour which includes discount margaritas and $3 tacos. There is plenty of free parking.

I was in Longmont for the home and garden show and I was hungry so this was my opportunity to give Rosa's Cantina a try. They were very busy but I was greeted and seated promptly. The place is nice and they have a lot of seating and a patio but too cold that day for outdoor dining. I ordered the Burrito Tijuana which looked to be a good choice based on the menu description. The burrito was very good with a generous portion of steak. The chili smothering the buritto was flavorful but not very spicy. I wish they provided a little more pico salsa on the side, there was probably a teaspoon of pico. I enjoyed the buritto, it was sizeable, flavorful but not spicy enough for my taste buds. The server was good, she was attentive and pleasant. The place was clean, prices were reasonable, service was good as well as the food. Would I go back ? I might go back if the planets align but I wouldn't make a special trip. My only real letdowns were the shortage of pico and they don't offer free chips and salsa. I've come to expect and appreciate Mexican restaurants who still offer free chips and salsa.

The chips and salsa were good,I like thick and chunky salsa. I ordered chili rellenos which is my go to Mexican dish. The rellenos weren't very big, a little chewy, not great but ok. I like their green chili sauce, I even ordered a container of green chili to go. The service was good, prices ok, rellenos not so good but I would return for the green chili.

Very expensive compared to any other Mexican restaurants nearby…read more $4 for an iced tea? These prices made us only order waters here. Im not paying $4 for a glass of instant tea. Crazy. Everything here is about $3 - $4 more than other Mexican joints in Longmont or Dacono or anywhere really. The kid's burrito and taco was an average deal at $9.35, but given the quality of the food, even that was not a good value. The ceviche was $19.99 for an average amount of ceviche with 5 slices of avocado and 3 tostadas. Slightly overpriced, but the quality was not good. Chewy fish that was not fresh and lukewarm shrimp. I only ate about half because it was not good. I hope I don't get sick. Wife had the burrito cho cho for $17. She said it was a decent portion but it was too salty. Still not a good value. $3.11 for an extra basket of chips? (See menu pictures) Are you kidding? I can buy a whole bag for less. Average service. Nothing stood out about it. We live relatively close, but we would drive past this overpriced place to drive 10 minutes south and have waaayyy better quality food for normal prices. Rumbo 52 and/or Casa Cortez are both within 10 minutes of here, so how is this place still in business? Needless to say, we will definitely NEVER RETURN HERE.
