Just wow. I found this place on google maps while on my way to target. When you pull up it's in a small little plaza. The inside has about 10 tables. It's very small inside but still perfect to sit down and enjoy your meal. It's a seat yourself establishment, right after I sat down I was greeted by my waitress with chips and salsa. The chips are definitely regular store bought chips which were still delicious because the salsa was bang-in! It was definitely spicy but not too spicy just enough kick in it to make your definitely tingle. For my main meal I got 4 carne asada tacos with a side of rice and beans for under $14 bucks. The carne asada tacos were absolutely amazing. So much flavor and tenderness. The rice and beans were very delicious as well. I loved how the rice wasn't dry it was flaky and had the right amount of seasoning on it. Overall this place gets a 10/10! read more

The food here is delicious, my suegros are from Durango so we were excited to try some great food. We also love the agua frescas served in jugs with tajin and chamoy. I was excited to visit Durango - based on the Yelp reviews. I love good Mexi - so off I went! Durango is kind of a "Divey" Mexican restaurant - and I mean that in a good way. I ordered the large Beef and Bean Burrito - with is topped with lettuce, cheese, and other stuff. Unfortunately, the execution comes across as this loose, watery, Burrito. Not very satisfying. Maybe I should havre opted for something else on the menu? The chips and the salsa they serve with the chips were really good though. I wish I had a gallon of that salsa. I came to this restaurant because it had a 4.5 review but what a disappointment. We order a carne asada burrito and a torta . The carne asada tasted very plane and very greasy . The salsa that came with the burrito tasted weird and not desirable at all . The torta showed in the picture with fries but you actually had to buy the fries separetly and I think that's so misleading , The burrito looked more like a quesadilla and nothing inside but just the meat I asked for no beans but there was nothing else in it but just the meat it and it was horrible worse burrito ever ... I could go on and on but bottom line I was extremely disappointed and I would never recommend this place to anybody ! read more

Our meal was delicious and the chips and salsa are to die for. My family has been coming here for several years and I remember being pregnant and craving their chips and salsa! LOL! I order number eight came with 2 shredded pork flautas, 2 cheese enchiladas, 1 chilli releno, barbacoa like pork and potatoes, rice, beans and lastly top of everything shredded lettuce and tomatoes. Their enchiladas are weird, they seem to be soaked in sauce and rolled waaaay ahead of time, or possible premade from a company somewhere. They were mushy and the beef inside was also...like canned dog food. Not good, I did not eat more than 2 bites. Their rice and beans were decent. Their shredded beef taco was DELICIOUS. The sauce it came with, however, was bitter and horrible. I was so glad I tasted it before pouring it on. The chips were strange, prepackaged seasoned sort. Not terrible just weird. I'm used to fresh made chips. Their salsa was meh. Not the least bit spicy whatsoever, it was quite boring, but edible. I'm not sure if this is what Coloradoans consider to be 'real' Mexican food, but its not. I'm from Texas (no not comparing this to texmex, which I don't like at all) and I'm used to spicy salsa, fresh made chips, hand rolled enchiladas with chili gravy, cheap, etc. This was far from my expectations. Stumbled upon Durango a couple weeks ago and Longmont finally feels like home. This is the best Mexican food I've had in Colorado (and I was born and raised in Mexico). Real Mexican food, no texmex or Taco Bell items on the menu. If you are looking for gringo food (burritos, chimichangas,etc.) you will be disappointed. The best Mexican food in Northern Colorado hands down..... This is traditional Mexican food, you will not find Americanized fair here. The shrimp cocktail is perfect, if you don't know about this dish, it is similar to a gazpacho but with a brighter flavor with the lime and the depth with the spice. The sweet pepper gorditas were to die for, sweet pepper is a bit misleading.... It was hot and tore me up a bit.... Literally! Pardon my French but I might have blown an o-ring the next day, it was even hotter in that direction. Can't believe I'm saying this, it was every bit worth it! I wonder if the previous reviewer knew his wife was diggin' on some beef tongue. Menudo, lengua..... No joke! It's good! Great horchata! I went to check this out after reading such raving reviews. Wow, best in all of northern colorado? I am a food snob, and I appreciate well cooked food, no matter the environment. But I was not impressed with it. Everything tasted just passable, but the food had undeveloped flavor, lacked freshness, and in the end, I didn't even both taking home the leftovers. This place is not what one would expect upon walking in... It is absolutely amazing food. I had the Mexican Combination plate. I will tell you they KNOW Mexican food and spices and everything was absolutely delicious. My only issue was the obvious store bought chips that were provided at the start. Honestly though if you come to this place for the chips and salsa maybe you should go to Chili's as this place is not for you. One of the chilies that was on my plate was so amazingly savory and tasty I want to return and eat an entire plate of it. I will not hesitate to return here for any reason! The food here is GREAT and tastes very authentic! This place became a favorite when a friend took me there. I have since taken most of my close friends to eat there and it's become a favorite of theirs too. Usually there for breakfast, I typically order their juevos rancheros, but enjoy everything. TRY THEIR GORDITAS - YUM! Also they have GREAT drinks!! My sister's favorite is the Pina Colada - SO much better than anywhere I have ever tried! I personally like their Micheladas, which is a spicy Mexican beer drink - GOTTA try it! Salty and watery. Whatever they use to "smother" a dish is runny green salty chunky water. Pretty gross.

The only reason this isn't five-stars is the atmosphere leaves a little to be desired.......Best bang for your buck Mexican food in a town full of cheap Mexican joints. Tortas are the best you will eat north of Phoenix. Rice drink and soups are bomb too.
