I was in Longmont for the home and garden show and I was hungry so this was my opportunity to give Rosa's Cantina a try. They were very busy but I was greeted and seated promptly. The place is nice and they have a lot of seating and a patio but too cold that day for outdoor dining. I ordered the Burrito Tijuana which looked to be a good choice based on the menu description. The burrito was very good with a generous portion of steak. The chili smothering the buritto was flavorful but not very spicy. I wish they provided a little more pico salsa on the side, there was probably a teaspoon of pico. I enjoyed the buritto, it was sizeable, flavorful but not spicy enough for my taste buds. The server was good, she was attentive and pleasant. The place was clean, prices were reasonable, service was good as well as the food. Would I go back ? I might go back if the planets align but I wouldn't make a special trip. My only real letdowns were the shortage of pico and they don't offer free chips and salsa. I've come to expect and appreciate Mexican restaurants who still offer free chips and salsa.

The decor is so fun!

When looking at the menu, the prices were outrageous, but thought the food must be really good! The restaurant doors were locked when we arrived around 11:30, even though their website said they opened at 10:00. I like to support local restaurants but this one was horribly disappointing! We were the only customers in the restaurant and service was extremely slow. There was only one employee we saw, the one who unlocked the door for us and turned out to be our waitress. She was polite, but very slow in getting our drink order, food order, and ticket. I could have understood understaffing, but as mentioned, we were the only customers in the place. When our food came, I was almost embarrassed for our waitress. The food hardly filled our plates. I ordered a chicken dish where the chicken breast had been split in half. It was tough and hard to cut and and chew. It was maybe the size of a small burger, very small and about 1/4 of an inch thick! According to the menu description, it was supposed to be marinated. It tasted like the "marinade" was ketchup mixed with a little Tabasco. Other plates were very skimpy on food. Burritos and enchiladas were small and almost almost laid flat on the plates. I guess I could deal with it better if the cost was about ¼ of the price we paid. No drinks for 4 totaled, with tip, around $80.00!! Will never go to this place again! I typically don't do reviews but this experience was completely "over the top" bad in all areas. We all left feeling cheated, and hungry! Don't waste your money here!

I'm so pleased to say the prices are the same and so is the deliciousness!! The service is quick although food is made to order. They have a small bar at the far end with three TVs. It's small, but they also have a small patio outside. We were greeted right away, and everyone was friendly. We had a booth. I ordered the mole enchiladas: one cheese, one chicken. It came with refried beans and rice with a pretty sliced section of avocado. The enchiladas were yummy, the mole rich and with just enough spice for me. The rice and beans were meh, just OK. My husband ordered the chimichanga, and he is very particular about his chimichangas. I had a bite, and the beef was yummy. It was crunchy like he likes, but he thought it could have been more so. Like I said, he's picky. It doesn't come with sour cream and guacamole. We had to pay extra, but the servings were small. Still, he ate it all, and I'm guessing he'll want one again there. It was close enough to the way he likes. Everyone does this dish differently, and most places leave it mushy. This was crisp, so a big plus for that. When we received the bill, we expected the extra for the guac and sour cream, but there was also an extra charge for the beef! We clearly saw the choice of chicken or beef for $14 on the menu, so I called over the server, and she got the owner. He apologized, but it was hard to understand. It seemed the beef was supposed to cost more, but that's not what's on the menu. He credited us double what the mistake was for some reason. So, at least they acknowledged the error and made it right. I don't give 5 stars unless the food is exemplary, like it was at another establishment on the other side of town, but it was very good, and we will be back to try other dishes. Nice to have a good Mexican place nearby.
