I've been going to Mojo's for years and years. There food is consistently awesome, and they have great rotating specials. Friendly vibe in the restaurant, and two outdoor seating options. Can have dogs as long as they are sitting outside the actual patio. read more

THE best tacos! 2nd time here ever. We just flew in to hike in RMNP and Mojo is quickly becoming a tradition on our way into Estes Park. Although inside dining is closed there is plenty of shaded outdoor space. Tacos so good we went back for a round 2 before leaving! Service was friendly and timely. read more

Came to visit the Stanley hotel and on our way back stopped at this restaurant because it looked really nice and had good reviews. We waited 10-15 minutes just for someone to acknowledge us (it wasn't that busy). After getting seated we waited another 15 minutes to order. We downed the two jugs of water we were given and then waited 15 or so minutes to get refills we just waited and waited for everything. Salt, silverware, water, chips. The food was okay. I hate giving bad reviews but we just felt we were being ignored the entire time... there was an automatic gratuity for parties of 6 or more and we felt like this factored into why our party of 6 was neglected. read more

Everything was fantastic. Service was top notch. Try everything you can. Margaritas at happy hour were perfect. Though I only stopped in for a drink and some dessert on the way out of town, I gotta say... not bad. To put things into perspective even more - I had just come from eating lunch at a different Mexican restaurant in Estes Park. So not only was I full to the brim with chips, guacamole and fajitas, I had also drank a full margarita prior to Mojo. That didn't stop me from ordering another, fancier margarita at Mojo. Or from having an order of churros with chocolate dipping sauce. Nope. Not one bit. The drink was strong and the churros made fresh. No complaints at all! The overall vibe and decor was a little more hipster gringo, which makes sense for the location. I am a gringo and can appreciate tacos. Cute small town vibe, there's quite a few Mexican restaurants in the area too. A nice "second meal" just like they used to tout in the Taco Bell commercials, only this place won't make you sick. read more

So nice we came here twice (in two days)! We stay in Lyons fairly often but had yet to try Mojo until this past weekend. Yummy tacos, nachos, and margs, friendly staff, pretty views. What more could ya need? Met some friends here on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't super busy. We started out with drinks--they've got a full bar and a pretty decent cocktail menu, which includes 5+ kinds of margs and some other fun drinks. I had the pineapple + habañero marg which was pretty spicy and super good. I also ordered the short rib taco and a fried avocado taco--both were tasty, but the short rib was a fave at the table. Came back again on Sunday for a snack and a drink with the boyfriend and were pleasantly surprised to learn they offer Sunday happy hour!! Can we all agree that the world would be a better place if more places did this? Also, if you're into watching sports games, you can belly up to the bar and watch from there while the nice bartender mixes you a drink. I ordered another spicy marg (not on HH, just good enough to order twice), plus nachos and a raja taco to share (both on the HH menu). The nachos are really big--we almost ordered two of them, but our bartender was nice enough to let us know that we could probably get away with splitting one. There's a dedicated parking lot and lots of street parking nearby. Prices are pretty good, especially with happy hour discounts (which are 3:30-5:30 pm daily). Really like this spot and will definitely be coming back during future stays in Lyons! read more

I went to happy hour here, we sat on the patio. Service was great. The margaritas are great. We got the nachos, but I think I would get the tacos if I went back because a local told me that's what they are known for. They can easily accommodate gluten free. read more

This place has some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. I highly recommend the chicken tinga corn tacos. The ordering process was a little different, but once figured out, it was no problem. Their staff was extremely sweet and very quick to get our food out. I also highly recommend the pineapple habanero marg, if you can handle a little heat! True story--one time my wife and I drove 6 hours out of our way, just to make a stop at Mojo. This place is really something! Our first time at Mojo was in 2017. We were in Lyons staying at the tiny house village--WeeCasa, also super fun. We're from Orange County and were traveling to CO to visit some friends in Boulder. We expected some good food, but we LOVE Mexican food, and know we're spoiled in SoCal. Everything we ordered here was a 10. The salsa trio was spicy and amazing. The tacos were perfect. The margaritas were lovely. We just really enjoyed it. About a year later in 2018, we were staying in Wyoming for a bit, then planning to travel to Michigan by car. That's when we took our detour. 6 hours south from Sheridan, WY to Lyons, CO--just for a Mojo stop. Completely, 100% worth it. read more

My husband and I loved it. The restaurant serves Mexican food and to my surprise it tasted pretty authentic and delicious. We were greeted by a super friendly hostess that showed us to our table of choice. Our server was also super friendly we trusted him and ordered all his favorites and I am so glad we did because the guacamole was on point. The arrachera tacos are a must try. I also opted for the Korean taco which was also tasty. My husband ordered a veggie taco. I think it was calabazitas and i loved it. Please save some room for dessert. This Is a hard review to write. I believe that the effort and idea is a solid five stars but the execution is closer to three with some things done really well and others a bit disappointing. This potential diamond in the rough is nestled among culinary colleagues like Smokin' Dave's and Dairy Bar, so it sticks out. It's got the industrial chic lewk down pat with a colorful interior and a cute bar. The service is quick n friendly, which was important for my group of hangry travelers. I'll start with my nit picky peeves and end on the positives. I know that chip and salsa ingredients are not free to the restaurant so why should they be for the client? But these chips and salsa were not exceptional enough to warrant a charge. If abuelas jaw dropping recipe is so addictive that clients are consuming large quantities then by all means charge away! But if a small amount of sub par salsa is more than a couple bucks I won't be partaking. Tortillas. Tortills are THE vessel carrying some serious precious cargo. As such, they should be given as much care and consideration as said presh carg. These tortillas were flimsy and disintegrated under the weight of any liquid. My final quip was that rice is indeed dry as others have complained. Not a big deal but a quick fix would do some serious justice. Ok now the good stuff. A tip: get that queso fundido girl! Go wild with chorizo or whatever but get a large or you will most certainly end up fighting people for the last scoops of this liquid gold (even if you're eating solo). It's addictive and I wish I'd had extra to drown all my everything in. The black beans were really well done: flavor and texture on point. I got the taco trio which is a great deal. The avocado and fish tacos were just not impressive. They weren't bad, just not showstopping. They were just missing a little pizazz: texture, flavor, jes nes se qua. The shrimp taco was lip smacking pant dropping goodness. Great crunch, flavor flav, wanted much more. My table mates were really happy with their cochinita pibil and carnitas tacos respectively. With a couple important moves on the salsa-rice-tortilla holy trinity mojo taqueria could compete nationally with the great Mexican spots and not just a Lyons contender. read more

We love this place!! We always eat here when driving through to Estes, Wild Basin. Rocky Mountain National Park, Nederland, etc. We have always so dug being here and this time we brought friends. Sadly, our waiter just seemed completely uninterested in remembering to bring our food, in checking in to see if we needed anything, in replenishing our beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). He seemed to be really great at disappearing, forcing us to have to keep disturbing other servers in order to get our needs met. Our table of friends and two other tables, that appeared to be assigned to this same server, were looking at each other and commiserating about the dilemma of being the "forgotten ones". So in the end, the food was great, as usual. The only bummer was the extremely poor attention of the staff person assigned to us. We all felt bad that everyone less was having to pick up the slack for the one staff member who could not be bothered to tend to his customers. read more

My carnitas burrito was very tasty, my life enjoyed the veggie taco and liked the fish taco. Fish was slightly over cooked. Big winner were the chips and salsa. The chips were light but still flavorful and the avocado-tomatillo salsa was to die for. Would say it's my new go to Mexican place but I live in Iowa. Unfortunately we didn't believe that when the menu says the salsa is hot it's hot. Its habanero hot. Queso fundito with sausage is a must. We licked the bowl clean. The shrimp taco was delightful. The outside crunch was savory and not heavy. Beautiful food. Hubby had the fried fish taco and it was equally good. Best Mexican food in the Boulder area. I have been an efrains die hard my whole time in the Boulder valley and after 1 meal I'm sold on mojos. We got a guac and 3 salsa sampler all amazing.
