Came here for dinner with couple friends. Parking was easy in their lot. The interior has a lot of Argentinian elements which I enjoyed. We ordered couple empanadas and sandwiches. Cane Picante and Pollo de Chorizo Empanadas (4/5) - flaky and crispy, the filling is very full. Not overly spicy, but definitely got a little kick from the spices (slightly salty, maybe I should've ordered one spicy and one traditional instead). Milanesa de Carne (3/5) - I got a half order, the portion is pretty big, the bread was pretty good, but the breaded steak was pretty dry. Overall the sandwich tasted pretty bland without added chimichurri sauce. Choripan (2/5) - the lettuce in this sandwich looked very sad, also the sausage (cut in halves) was so small, half the sandwich was empty. Would not recommend. I would recommend the empanadas, but no more sandwiches for me.
I have the bestest friends. I actually didn't go to this place myself but met up w some friends who did. I tried the corn empanada and the spicy beef... took a bite of the barbecue chicken. Everything was so tasty. I don't think I've ever had corn empanada before and thought the spicy beef was super flavorful. I do think it might be slightly smaller in size than another larger empanada local spot but I thought it was definitely less dry too. So happy that this place was yum and another place to visit when heading into Boulder.
My friends had been here before while delivering their kid to CU Boulder and wanted to stop here to share the goodness with me. Boy, what a great find! Plus #1, the empanadas are baked! Plus #2, they have salads that you can get with their special empanada chicken filling in case you're card adverse! Parking is not a problem. There's inside and outside seating. This place was packed but the crowd moves it along pretty quickly. They have TV's for sports...get here early for a seat, this might move people every couple of hours. Definitely coming back for a try of other menu items.
Not only is this one of our favorite eateries but they do a great job with soccer all year. And for FIFA World Cup we could not have picked a better spot, empanadas galore and a wide variety of drinks for all ages and tastes. They have two smaller screens for smaller corner viewing up close but they have a jumbo size screen nearly movie size to see the full length of the eating and drinking area. We had a blast especially since the US won last night against Paraguay. I've been told that you can hardly get in if Argentina is on the screen as this owner is from Argentina and has a great following in the community. My empanadas were perfect, the gaucho and the choclo both long time faves. My husband and Yelp Friend, Vivian H , liked their empanadas and beers. I elected to take the only compromised seat in the house last night, as my vision is impaired anyway, and felt they could better appreciate the better view. But even that seat was viewable even at an extreme angle. Very cool event no matter the angle.
Now this is Argentine food!! What a great spot in Boulder. We came in on a Friday for light dinner around 5pm and we were all in love! The fast casual vibe is great and the staff is so nice. The empanadas are fantastic and everything tastes like I'm sitting in Buenos Aires! the choripán was everything and the alfajor to finish the meal (homemade too!) was the best! I cannot rave about this place anymore but you have to go if you are nearby!!
The pastry was flaky and crispy and I liked how each empanada was so full of meat. #2 Carne Picante (5/5): Not super spicy but had a little bit of kick. Great blend of flavors (I liked that the olive flavor came through but wasn't too strong). #4 Criolla (5/5): Honestly, I couldn't really tell the difference between this one and the #2. #8 Pollo Barbacoa (3/5): Not as good as the beef empanadas. The bbq seasoning and mozzarella cheese weren't really for me. RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)
They have indoor and outdoor seating, and is a great place for a quick meal. You order at the counter and grab a table number and sit. I tried the Criolla and Hongos, both were tasty in filling and had especially good pastry. The bottom was a tad soggy, but it was overall great.
This place is incredible! I am Argentine and I felt like the food was authentic and well prepared. The restaurant has an indoor and outdoor seating area all done very tastefully and surrounded by Argentine memorabilia! It was so fun to look at the walls and see all the different pictures. Food came out fairly quick and was brought to my table indicated with a number sign they give you when you purchase your food near the entrance. Will absolutely be trying more items on the menu!
The restaurant is easy to get into but parking is limited. The restaurant is cozy and has a decent amount of seats. Ordering is easy and empanadas are delicious and filling. It's a good value for the quality of empanadas. Totally forgot I went here a long time ago. Good find again!

Excellent. Happy to say that the YELP community of consumer reviewers didn't let us down with this place. Rincon Argentino apparently has been serving up amazing empanadas at this location for about a decade now and my better half and I drove over and confirmed that this place makes some of the best damn empanadas we have eaten and I've been to Argentina ! They are about $5/each and they make almost a dozen different varieties. They also offer a variety of sauces and honestly every one of them we tried was remarkably juicy inside and probably did t need a sauce - however the chimmichuri sauce and the non spicy chicken empanadas were probably our favorite. Wish these guys had a branch in N Cali where we now live ! Run and eat here. Thank me later ! Top notch street food option !! read more
HOLY RINCON ARGENTINO, YOU ARE A CAMPEÓN/CAMPEONA! This is 100% a fictional story but I'm pretty sure Queen wrote, "We Are The Champions" after eating an unbelievable meal in this empanada haven. In particular, it may have been the: #4 CRIOLLA #12 PATAGONIA #15 CHOCLO #24 CHORIPÁN With a side of chimichurri and spicy salsa! Beyond having an amazing product, Rincon Argentino has a sweet vibe! It's decked out in Argentina pride. There are a ton of photos on the wall that highlight different elements of their culture. The customer service is super kind at the front register, too. For being a very busy spot, the cashier did not make us feel rushed at all and gladly answered our qs before taking our order. My husband and I made a vow that "we'll keep on fighting (to get back to Rincon Argentino) till the end (of going through the whole menu and trying everything!)". It became an instant favorite! Looked for a more cost conscious restaurant and then read reviews and decided to give it a try. When you enter the order counter is right there and the menu is on boards above. Having never been there was not sure of the size of the empanadas and asked the was shown the size and told most people eat 3-4. Decided to order 2 each and if we wanted more could buy additional. Honestly 2.5 was nice, not over full but was satisfying. I had the Pollo and the mushroom (after some of the reviews) both were delicious and had allot of the protein/veg in each. The pastry was light and delicious. Friend had the Pollo and traditional and said the steak was tender. (We ate them quickly and forgot to take pictures). We ordered one more the Pollo Barbacoa which had a nice bbq hint but not over powering, did take a picture of this one. They offer mild, med, and hot sauces too. Will definitely be coming back. The restaurant is not large but is decorated very nicely and has pictures and artifacts from Argentina. Parking in the evening was not bad but guessing during the day when other businesses are open might be more challenging. read more

Higher than a 3 lower than a 4. Give it a 3.7. I have lived in Argentina and visited 2x. Been here twice. Not fair to compare it to authentic Argentine in country places. Never going to get there because quality of ingredients is different. The Lomito sandwich is really good. The Choripan slightly resembles a Chori in Cordoba but again after having the real thing, not fair. Empanadas were good, right mix of ingredients but the masa is a little thin. read more
This is definelty one of the best place in Boulder for Empanada. You feel like you are back in Argentina! Because most of them are from Argentina! Is a small place so not a lot of seat. But once you order it just seat with your number and they will bring you the food. There is so many item to choose but I love the beef and spicy beef. Is a nice place for a quick bite and mate "Argentina Tea" WE WILL DEFINETLY BE BACK!!! read more

While living here several years ago, I always wanted to visit this place. Recently, I finally had the opportunity to visit. This place is situated on the corner of Folsom and Arapahoe. I LOVE empanadas and other Argentinian food. I very much enjoyed my visit to Rincon Argentino! The interior is decorated very nicely and there is ample seating. They also have a nice freezer section where various empanadas, blood sausages and other items are sold. I ended up buying a tray of their traditional frozen empanadas. I also bought a small tub of dipping sauce of dipping sauce for the empanadas. The traditional empanadas have steak, onions, red bell pepper, green olives and spices. The dipping sauce I bought has guacamole and various spices that make it a wonderful compliment to the empanada. I also ordered a traditional empanada and dipping sauce for dine-in. I also ordered a traditional Yerba mate. It's served in a traditional gourd with metal straw. They also provide a nice metal thermos with plenty of hot water inside. The gourd is filled to the brim with plenty of tea leaves. The traditional empanada was baked to perfection, not over or under baked. Steak was delicious and the spices blended very well. If you're having a snack, I recommend only one empanada. If you're having lunch, I recommend 2 or perhaps 3, depending on how hungry you are. I loved the traditional Yerba mate. It was nice to enjoy it in the traditional gourd and metal straw. I enjoyed sitting in the dining area, people watching, and enjoying my drink along with food. This is a nice place to stop for a drink or snack while doing some work on your laptop. It's also great for meeting friends. They were very busy for lunch on a national holiday (MLK JR Day). I would love to return here the next time I'm in Boulder. I recommend checking this place out for anyone visiting the area of if you live in Boulder and haven't checked it out yet. First time visit to this quaint Argentine restaurant at the corner of Folsom at Arapahoe, relatively close to the CU campus. I ordered two empanadas, which were the best empanadas I have ever had. Once back in the Boulder area, given the circumstances and availability, this will be a great place to return to. Highly recommended!. read more
Foodie town of America! This can lead to decision paralysis. Too many decisions, I picked what was close to our place and something light so empanadas were the way to go! Parking: Plaza parking. I can see it getting busy as there are other restaurants and businesses around but we were good. Seating: Inside seating for groups and individuals. Feels: It's slightly on the outer end of downtown but not too far away from campus. It's on the corner so you can't miss it. The place itself is well decorated with Argentina pride from the pictures of the motherland to celebrities that have visited, especially olympic competitors. It's great with a warm environment. Great to take a break or watch a game! FOOD: Lomito Completo (Recommend) Simple yet fulfilling. Not exactly a cubano but relevant to it. Crispy bread, fresh savory flavors from the steak and ham. Empanada - Pollo Barbocoa (Recommend) Awesome! Empanadas are generally delicious but a reasonable size and these flavors pack a punch. This barbacoa brings sweet flavors to it. Chocolate covered dulce de leche biscuit cookies (Recommend) Deeeelicious. I wish I ordered more. I also need to learn this recipe. Blessed with sweetness of chocolate and dulce and a soft texture inside. Terere-iced mate w/ orange, mint, and agave (Recommend) Simple, subtly sweet and clean. The flavors mixed well. Not a type of juice but light flavors of mint, orange and yerba mate leaves. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Great! Friendly, knowledgeable and quick. TL; DR OVERALL: 4.5 Stars. Excellent! I was SO thoroughly impressed with my meal here that I cannot deny Rincon Argentino anything less than 5 stars. The food was so fresh and delicious, it made the quick stop in Boulder completely worth it. I was able to try four of their amazing empanadas: -Carne picante - Amazing flavor and very mild in terms of "spiciness." -Pollo de chorizo - This one was my favorite. So much flavor packed into every bite. -Pollo barbacoa - Second favorite, behind the pollo de chorizo. -Hongos - Probably my least favorite in terms of flavor, but it was still really tasty. I love mushrooms! Each empanada was so amazingly flavorful, it really didn't need the chimichurri sauce, but that was excellent too. This was the food highlight of my Colorado trip and definitely worth a stop to or from visiting Estes Park. read more

Amazing food! I loved the Patagonia empanada so much! It was so so cheesy and the flavor was amazing. I could eat so many more of those. The spicy steak was good but I wish I could taste the olives more and it seems a bit more like ground beef than steak. The red spicy salsa wasn't spicy but had good flavor. The alfajor cookie was amazing!! So so fluffy and not too sweet. Will be back for the Patagonia and the cookie! read more
A colorful fun place to enjoy some delicious empanadas! The energy here only adds to the experience. Order from the chalkboard and then find a spot to sit at the community table if you are looking to make a new friend. The walls are entertaining and a fútbol game might even be in the tv. read more

My kids and I stumbled upon this place and are so happy we did. The food is absolutely amazing. Everything was tasty and fresh and the salsas were flavorful. The place is small but super cute and homey with a small outdoor patio too. I can't wait to go back and try more flavors of empanadas. read more
This place is so good! We tried the caprese, Patagonia, criolla, and carne picante empanadas. For sauces, we went with the chimichurri and salsa verde. While waiting in line to go inside, someone suggested that we try the terere drink, so we also ordered that. Once we paid, I was given a cup to get some terere, which has iced yerba mate, orange juice, lemons, mint, and agave. It was pretty interesting! It does have an acquired taste, so my friend didn't care for it very much. We both enjoyed the empanadas a lot though. I'm glad that they reheated it in the oven as well. My favorites were definitely the criolla and carne picante because I love anything spicy and beefy. There was so much flavor that you don't even need the sauces, but of course I put a little bit on top. read more

The hubs and I had an almost full day in the Boulder area so found ourselves here for a late lunch. We ordered to go and settled in for what turned out to be a bit of a wait. I got a mushroom, a spinach and a cheese empanada. The mushroom and spinach ones were bland both in the way of seasoning and general excitement of flavors. The cheese one was the best of my three and with the avocado salsa was tasty. The cheese and my husbands lifted this from a 3 to 4 star. The hubs got a chicken and chorizo, chicken and a beef empanada. He thought the chicken and chorizo combo was the best of the bunch. Customer service was very friendly and the sandwiches looked tasty which I'd do next over empanadas. read more

After reading the great reviews of the empanadas here, I knew I needed to try them when we visited Boulder. Covid-19: you can order and pay online. They also offer curbside pickup. My husband and I split 4 empanadas and a choripan sandwich. The empanadas we tried were Carne Picante, Jamón y Queso, Choclo, and Caprese. I think the Choclo was my favorite. It was this creamy corn sauce that was amazingly delicious. I also loved the Jamón y Queso and the Caprese. The Carne Picante was good, but I love cheese so I preferred those with cheese. I really loved the choripan sandwich as well. It was simple and surprisingly delicious. My favorite sauces were chimichiri and salsa verde. We also got flan and an Alfajor cookie for dessert. The cookie was amazing, but it's one tiny cookie for $3.50. My only complaint was the portion size/price. Everyone said 2-3 empanadas was enough, but we were both still hungry. They were very small so $4 seemed kind of expensive. After spending $16-20 per person, for a meal, I would expect to be full. Definitely check this place out for some delicious empanadas, just don't expect big portions. read more

If you're looking for some tasty empanadas then you've come to the right place. Rincon Argentino has delicious empanadas. And if you're looking for dessert, they also have some exceptional treats. In addition to traditional flavors, they also have some unique empanadas that I've never had before. My wife and I shared the following: #2 Carne Picante #9 Jamón Y Queso #10 Caprese #15 Choclo #24 Choripán Sandwich Alfajor Flan Considering everything we shared, my favorite was the Alfajor. This was a great counter service spot! Cashier was wonderful, very happy & polite offering me her top 2 favorites of empanadas! There was plenty of seating and space in the restaurant. They had plenty of drink options w/ fountain soda & had fresh Yerba mate which I was not able to try this time around. They did have some wine & other alcoholic beverages but I didn't partake in those options either! Price range was also very very reasonable! Will go back again in my next travel adventures to Boulder! read more

This was an impulse stop while waiting on our takeout food across the street. I'm so glad we stopped by. The empanadas were piping hot and tasty. The Empanadas: -The choclo was creamy with a touch of sweetness. Very flavorful with hints of spice and savory notes. -Patagonia. Tastes like a pizza and I love pizza. It has basil, garlic, parmesan, and tomato. -Traditional. No words, just Mmmm... Yerba mate: Super strong and bitter. The wooden cup kept leaking each time we poured more hot water. Makes me wonder how often they check and/or clean the cups. In the end, we got a to-go cup. Service: Not fast with so many people behind the counter. About a 15-minute wait for 3 empanadas but it's made to order. The space: The entrance doors were wide open, which is nice for better air circulation. Masks required indoors unless you're eating. There's seating inside but we opted for the long outdoor standing bar table. There were a few outdoor tables with seats but we didn't need a comfy spot since this was just a quick appetizer stop. read more

I was SO excited to finally try Rincon because I am obsessed with empanadas! However, I was really disappointed with the food. I got the gaucho, patagonia, carne picante, hongos, and jamón y queso. The patagonia was by far the best and very delicious. The hongos (mushroom) one was okay but definitely needed the side sauce with it. The jamón y queso (ham and cheese) was okay but had one small slice of ham in it and the rest was filled with cheese and I ended up taking out over half of the cheese that was inside because it was too much. I was really disappointed with the gaucho and carne picante, they just weren't very good and my two friends agreed with me. Overall we were pretty disappointed with our experience. read more

We have two vegan empanadas. The spinach empanada has fresh spinach, sautéed onions, red bell peppers, pine nuts and lemon. The mushroom empanada has three types of wild mushrooms with parsley, garlic and lemon. Hope that helps :)
