Jungle is a tiki bar in Boulder, downtown just off Pearl. I've walked by it and it's always busy with customers far younger than I am. But recently I ran into some longtime friends my age and they go there often for really good deals at happy hour on very fun drinks. I looked into the menu and website and discovered they could make any drink alcohol free yet with the flavor so similar using a brand of herbal designed flavored substitutes. I have a limitation on true alcoholic content due to a medication for a chronic illness as do many other people around town and the world. This substitute led to a very amazing and fun drink that looks just like the "real deal." My drink was a "Painkiller" with nutmeg on top. And tropical flavors through out, orange, pineapple juice, coconut milk on pebble ice which added a nice look and feel. I'd definitely do some of these drinks again. The happy hour food was a real deal in size but I'd rather have had a salad or some of the small plate offerings. If you are looking for a large plain burger and fries that are mundane but ample for the price, go for that but next time I will do the small plates. May cost a little more but raise the food quality to the drinks. Staff was efficient and very friendly and the place filled up fast as soon as they opened. They cater to large groups as we had the only table for two, the only one I saw. But a nice central bar with all high top seating can accommodate many more in single or small groups. I am rather challenged by size to get into these seats. Next time we will go early again or with a larger group for a larger table. I am giving them a bonus star for such great and unique drinks tonight.

Stopped off at Jungle for a beverage after an event. Jungle serves up plenty of specialty cocktails in fun tiki glasses, but don't try to take one, or you will be charged. Drinks are reasonably priced. I chose the Salty Dog with vodka for $9. You can sit at communal tables inside, at the bar, or at patio seating. Our server checked in on us frequently. Jungle is known for its Rum drinks and burgers. I will have to go back and try one of each.

A group and I stopped in to Jungle after looking for a tiki bar in Boulder with a nice aesthetic, good drinks, and a good atmosphere for talking. Jungle fortunately hit all those marks! First off, the drinks were so good! We got the Thai Iced Tea, Mr. Plumtastic, and the Martiki. All of those drinks were so well-made. I especially enjoyed the Thai Iced Tea. It had a really good balance of Thai Tea flavor and rum. The drinks were strong but not overly so. Perfect. You can also buy some of the mugs to take home. Fun! Service was top notch. From the hostess to the server, everyone was very helpful and very nice. Great job staff! The atmosphere was perfect for what we were looking for. The interior decorations and lighting were fun but also a great setting for conversation. The music volume was perfect. I look forward to getting my tiki on again at Jungle!

hay now! super great drink and strong too!

We may have been the oldest couple in Jungle but the service, ambiance, and food was fabulous, so it didn't matter. Jungle always has interesting cocktails - and my husband and I always enjoy trying new flavors. The burgers are the best in town I think and always cooked perfectly. We have also tried the shrimp skewers which were a great appetizer. The chicken sandwich is a deal in Tuesday nights and very tasty. The staff is always fun and friendly while also being efficient in such a small space filled with community tables. Love Jungle!

loved this cute spot !! stopped by on our way out of the state and it happened to be happy hour! LOVE that they have happy hour every day - that's always a plus. the burger was very good! service was quick and the drinks were so cute - i love all the different glassware. would definitely come back when in the area! :)

What a cute spot! We stopped here for a pre-dinner drink on a Friday night and they were packed inside (bummer - looked so cute in there!) but they had a great patio spot right out front we were able to snag. The patio table setup isn't comfy for an extended period: it's a barrel with stool chairs, so is more of a quick post-up spot. They have an awesome list with very reasonable tiki cocktail prices: $12-16. We tried the: *Dijon Sanders with Oaxacan rum, mustard and citrus *Glacier Freeze with Jamaican rum and lychee *Cornstar with mezcal - lit on fire All the drinks that came out were in kitschy cups and so nostalgic and fun! We were served by the hostess, and she gave some great recommendations for cocktails! However, we got a bit forgotten after our first round came out, and it took us a while to track someone down to pay the bill. Great vibes and fun cocktails here!

Jungle did not disappoint! We came here for an after work happy hour with a group of about 10 and were seated right away with no reservation. Everything was tasty and well seasoned. The seafood tasted fresh. The drinks were strong and flavorful. The staff were very attentive and our food and drinks arrived quickly. The ambiance fits the vibe. I would definitely return to try more items.

    Mai Tai and Zombie

Unbeatable cocktails. The staff is so friendly and attentive. If I could give them six stars I would. Don't sleep on this place. Incredible cocktails and food that is not only affordable, but is consistently good. The drinks here make me feel like I'm on vacation. Try the Mai Tai, it's off the charts. Feeling Brave? Grab a Zombie, it's strong but amazing

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place...we got great drinks in the best funky glasses GREAT SERVICE TOO. So much fun

I had the tin man HH cocktail because my server said it would be the most floral (has elderflower in it) and I quite liked it! Was very refreshing, not too strong. Aside notes: the bathrooms were quite clean. Parking was a little chaotic, some is paid parking and some is free 2 hour. There are only a couple spots right in front, I had to park a few blocks down but it was in 2hr free park by another small business that was closed for the day. I didn't have any issues there. Overall thought this was a fun little bar in Boulder with good happy hour drinks, I would def come back :)

I think the best thing about River and Woods is the interior and exterior decoration. It is very clear that a lot of thought and time was put into the atmosphere here. From the cute door knocker to the bathroom wallpaper, the theme is well-executed. The food was a bit disappointing. The blue oyster mushroom appetizer was extremely salty. I thought it was just me but the rest of the table agreed as well. My trout was well-cooked and I enjoyed it quite a bit. The chicken was also salty although cooked well. I did not try the burger but I was told it was salty as well. The prices of all the items were quite high for what I thought was presented. Service was good and thankfully our waters were filled frequently for how much water we were drinking due to the high salt content.

One thing I was intrigued by before coming here was that the corn is flown in from Mexico, celebrating and providing a cultural experience. I'm so grateful that they delivered on the oral experience with the balance in flavor, texture, and spice. No one ingredient overpowered the dishes service, and even the spice was there, but not to a miserable level that often leaves me suffering as I eat my food. The mushrooms has a warm egg yolk on top to stir into the dressing which was tasty. We finished with their flan which was as good as my Spanish born neighbor made in my youth.
