Highly recommend the Brewery Tour! Offered daily at 430pm. We had an excellent tour guide, Fish. We had several beer tastings during the tour and learned a lot about the brewing process including yeast production (Avery produces their own yeast). We also got to see the Barrel room and learn about barrel aging. We had a taste of barrel aged and also a tasting straight from a barrel that was oxidized. Then we moved on to food and more tastings for dinner. We tasted a few beers that we didn't taste on the tour including their new product, hard tea. We enjoyed and shared. For food we had the Pretzel (this family never passed on a pretzle!), Brisket Plate,.Fish & Chips, and Ceasar Salad. Brisket was so tender! Ceasar reminded us of the one I make back.home, high compliment! You order and pay thru an app. Server brings the food out and checks in with you. Beers are ordered at the Bar. Great experience and we plan to return during our visit! We also bought beer to go and enjoy at the hotel!

I'm surprised by how much I, as someone who doesn't drink much alcohol, enjoy this place. Everything from the food (brisket nachos are a staple) and the non-alcohol drink options to the free EV charging and laidback ambiance. The employees are energetic and friendly. They're doing something right here !

One of the best breweries in all of Colorado. I have been drinking their barrel aged beers for years. Unfortunately I heard they are stopping barrel aged bottles. I hope this is untrue. All of their beer is amazing, I haven't had a single one that I don't like. Their IPA's and barrel aged ones are my favorite but I'm not allowed to try any.

Great beers, friendly and wonderful people work here, great beer garden and outside patio, along with inside and upstairs. Ben is the BEST! Love this place!!

Always a winner. The seating/serving has shifted around a bit, and it's still just as great. Always friendly staff, good bites, and super solid beers. This go around, I went for a cellared beer. Didn't disappoint!

Great spot! There is indoor and outdoor seating. Beer was delicious. Our server was awesome. He let my husband try a couple of samples before he made a decision. I had a vanilla stout. We also ordered BBQ nachos and chips with salsa, guacamole, and queso. Dog friendly on the patio. Parking in a lot. Bathrooms were clean. Handicap accessible. Vibe is fun.

We shared the Buddha Bowl which good for two to enjoy. - A dish featuring broccoli, sliced chicken, beets, and mixed vegetables served on a white plate with small metal cups of sauce and condiments, set on a red perforated table.

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and enjoyed a few beers and some eats sitting outside. Loved the beer and the Buddha Bowl. Also ordered garlic fries which I felt were undercooked and really not enough garlic. Great service and we enjoyed the live music too!

Fried Chicken Sammy

Came in for an early dinner and the place was pretty busy! Island Rascal 16oz for $7. Fried Chicken Sammy ($19) - the sandwich buns were a little soggy so I wish they toasted it. The fried chicken was seasoned well. Unfortunately, the garlic fries lacked garlic so it tasted like normal fries.

Really enjoyed my Fried Chicken Sammy with Garlic Fries. My server Zach was helpful, as I navigated the list of brews. I went with the IPA Flight for tasting, and finished with a Samaels barrel-aged, which was phenomenal.

Good food, great beer, fast and friendly service. The location seems new and is modern. We were there on a Tuesday so no fish and chips. I guess that's a weekend mention. So keep that in mind! We had the green chile, brisket plate, Caesar salad which had added bbq smoked turkey, chicken sandwich. Everyone was happy with their meal. Bathrooms were clean and tidy. We would go back!

Those who know, know. Some of the best locally made beer in Colorado. They have a huge space for dining and enjoying drinks outside. Heads up this place gets busy on the weekends, expect a wait However, their food was frankly lacking and not very memorable. Rating 4 stars bc the atmosphere is nice and their beer is great. I'd still return here for a beer and some grub after say a hike in Boulder, but wouldn't come just for the food. They have free tours of some of the brewery I believe, didn't get a chance to try it this time

Avery Brewing is one of the most famous breweries in Colorado, doing it for over 30 years. The Boulder taproom is nothing short of impressive. It's a little off the beaten path, but you'll find yourself staying for a long time. Long before I moved to Colorado, I would sample big burly rare Avery beers at the bottle shop and breweries I worked at. I first visited this location in 2019 and was blown away by the space from the get go. I mean, how can you not be? It's massive! +Outdoor Patio - One of the best around. Massive green space utilizing events, music, games, etc. Plenty of tables with umbrellas. One of the more dog friendly breweries around. +Indoor Taproom - Probably their most customary space. Built for high volume, lots of high tops, some bar seating. +Upstairs Restaurant/Bar - A beautiful space that has big barrel room energy. Dark woods and a gorgeous bar. +Bottle Shop/Merch Store - Connected to the latter. Beer coolers filled with their core beers and rarities. +Brewery Space - You can walk into the brewery at any time to look at the tanks, fermenters, and canning line. It's a big operation. I like how they have plenty of tables and chairs too, so if you don't want to be in the sun (or snow) you have a place to hide. Yesterday's visit included a pretzel and two beers. The pretzel was delicious! The Patrol Dog Pale Ale and Nomadic Dreamer Hazy IPA were ideal for a warm and sunny winter day. Overall, their beers aren't my favorite in Colorado let alone Denver, but you can't knock Avery for their consistency. If you're looking to impress someone from out of state, Avery should be on your list. Even if they're a casual beer drinker, there's so much going on here that it's easy to get lost in it all. Cheers to 30 more years!

First time to come by to check out the place and try out some beers. We weren't eating, so we ate in the bar area downstairs rather than the restaurant area upstairs. I couldn't decide, so I tried small pours of most of the dark beers. I'd probably rank them as... 1. Tweak 2. Old Jubilation 3. Ellie's Brown Ale 4. The Reverend 5. Latte on My Mind My wife liked the Latte the best and enjoyed a pint of that one. This place is large and impressive. It doesn't have the small brewery feel of other places we frequent, and it's not particularly convenient for us. Maybe we'll stop in again the last time we're in the neighborhood. There is a small, dog-friendly outdoor area, so that's an option as well.

Gabe was an excellent tour guide!

Nice place to drink a couple after a hike in the mountains. Simple, laid back and clean. Got myself a sticker for a yeti cup.

Is there a good variety of vegan options?

Yes! Try their veggie tacos or jackfruit nachos! The menu doesn't have a lot of food options overall, as it's mainly full of different types of beer, but there are definitely some vegan gems included!

Do you serve alcohol free beer or cider?

Definitely no cider. It's a brewery.

Do they have gluten free beers?

For food, we each got a side Caesar salad. Large and with lots of flavor, they were very good. We each then got the Mediterranean pizza. I added chicken to mine. My wife liked hers, while I was disappointed in mine. I didn't find the flavor to be great, and the crust was rather flimsy and disappointing. As it's family friendly my crew always feels happy to bring their well behaved little one along. While my friends are sure to bring activities for their kiddos (books, toys, educational iPad devices) some folks aren't as considerate. I've definitely had the unfortunate experience of kids running amuck while their parents are fully attentive only to their brewskis. This was particularly disturbing as I've been recovering from a knee injury for several months and my partner has often been with me and on crutches. Would love to see people take more responsibility for their children's behavior when taking them out in public for everyone's safety. While it's Boulder afterall I hold hope that parents will look after their kids if they decide to bring them in or drop them to the nearby kiddos climbing facility if they wanna play. Looking forward to many more good times with friends at this awesome locally owned gem.

As for the beer, they had 18 to choose from including two gluten free options. I could decide so I went with a beer flight which allowed me to sample several in my typical range of beers. Luckily we found street parking so that was easy too. It's a cash only restaurant (or local personal checks) and while it wasn't a problem, we had cash, we probably wouldn't have come here had we known that beforehand. From the funky mural on the garage door to the sticker-lined walls of the cooler to the remote location on the less popular side of Boulder, Vision Quest is proof that us beer lovers still long for breweries of this nature. One of our favorite things during the pandemic when restaurants could reopen was picking up their in house chicken pot pie. It's my husband's absolute favorite chicken recipe which I used to make myself. Though I am unable to make it now that l have lost a lot of vision and not a single one we have bought elsewhere was sufficient until we ordered from The Post Boulder. After a short time it became too labor intensive for the Post to make in house back then with limited staff so they contracted with a pie facility in Denver.
