Third time here last night. Biggest complaint is they don't keep their website current, so most of the beers we had planned to try weren't on the menu wall when we got there. We started with a flight and ranked them in this order: * Holy Craic Irish Red Ale (#2 for my wife) * Golden Boy Kolsch (#1 for my wife) * Steel Cut Stout * Twisted Amber (neither liked) * Dublin Magic Irish Stout (neither liked) After the flight, we both enjoyed two of the beers we enjoyed the most. For food, we each got a side Caesar salad. Large and with lots of flavor, they were very good. We each then got the Mediterranean pizza. I added chicken to mine. My wife liked hers, while I was disappointed in mine. I didn't find the flavor to be great, and the crust was rather flimsy and disappointing. Fifteen years later and this remains my go to spot for a delicious brews (love the Cerise) and bites (the lemon pepper wings and pepperoni pizza are a must). From game days (televised or board/card) to happy hour catch ups I love coming here for the laid back and family friendly vibes. I've enjoyed having my birthday party here for the last handful of years (they have amazing event space). As it's family friendly my crew always feels happy to bring their well behaved little one along. While my friends are sure to bring activities for their kiddos (books, toys, educational iPad devices) some folks aren't as considerate. I've definitely had the unfortunate experience of kids running amuck while their parents are fully attentive only to their brewskis. This was particularly disturbing as I've been recovering from a knee injury for several months and my partner has often been with me and on crutches. Would love to see people take more responsibility for their children's behavior when taking them out in public for everyone's safety. While it's Boulder afterall I hold hope that parents will look after their kids if they decide to bring them in or drop them to the nearby kiddos climbing facility if they wanna play. Most times are great and I'm very much a regular. I came in today at I'm guessing 2:58 pm. Their doors had just opened. $5.00 Happy Hour starts at 3:00 pm. I ordered a beer thinking it was close enough to 3 pm and was charged $8.00 because, the bartender said, "Happy hour starts at 3:00 and the computer charged you $8.00". Like I said, I'm a regular and this is not a good way to treat a regular loyal customer. A good bartender would have waited the few seconds to ring in the order and give a regular loyal customer the HH price. They've probably lost my business. read more

I got TWISTED on their Helles Yeah! ;D Meanwhile... my husband swirled into the Emerald Sunset. Both, were full of flavor that made us go... "WOW, this place makes good beer." At first, we weren't sure what beers to try because of their vast variety. Kindly, the bartender helping us said, "Why don't you try the two you're between?" Personally, I appreciate when a bartender offers this. As a customer, you don't always want to ask but you also don't want to be stuck with a beer you don't love. So big thank you and shout out to the team for this! The inside was a neat, almost pub-ish atmosphere. We opted to sit on the patio with our pup, which has a peak of a mountain view and real mellow vibes. It was exactly what we needed to have a laid back conversation with one another. Ultimately, we'd go back! The beer reminded us of beer we had abroad. Plus, they are known for the majority of their beers being gluten-reduced, less than 20 ppm gluten. Personally, I could tell. There is it really no service here so be prepared to pick up your own food with a buzzer. The back room is quieter than I thought it would be. Stopped here after a hike in Boulder. Nice establishment that offers indoor and outdoor seating. They offered plenty of picnic tables that had shade. We got the wings and they were good! I typically love IPAs but unfortunately did not like any of theirs and we tried them all :( as their name stated twisted pine and they did taste "piney" and a bit biter for my taste buds. My husband did enjoy them all so there is that :) Service was good you just walk up the inside counter and place your beer and food order there. The chic behind the bar, didn't catch a name but she was there Sunday evening on 9/1/25, has absolutely no business being in customer service. She's literally the reason I will not be going back there despite actually liking their beer. There was absolutely no reason for her shitty attitude. I wasn't complaining about anything or even asking any questions. Just ordering beer and she had such a stick up her A, that I was just utterly shocked that a business would have her as an employee in a customer facing role. She must be related to someone. P.s. Twisted Pine has been a Boulder staple since 1995. That's saying something considering Colorado is home to no shortage of breweries. I won't be shouting my first experience from the Flatirons, however I must pay respect for the path Twisted has paved for those who've come after. My buddy and I headed to Twisted after a quick Yelp search post hike. We wanted good beer (duh) and good food, and Twisted seemed like it fit the bill. Upon arrival, their outdoor patio is worth noting. Though in a parking lot, it's spruced up well. I can see it being packed like sardines over the summer. Inside is a unique space that's deceivingly large. It's really two taprooms in one! For the most part you'll hang out in the front room, and I bet the back room is used for private parties and events. A pretty big tap list greets you in addition to a sizable food menu. You order your beer and food at the bar, and pickup your food once your buzzer rings. We had some awkward service right off the and sometimes that's difficult to shake. It did improve over time, but we didn't really seem welcome upon arrival. Beer wise, I had the Patio Pounder (session IPA) and Hoppy Boy (pale ale). I was in a bitter, hoppy mood and these both hit the spot. My friend liked his beer too, even though I can't remember his order. As soon as I saw Nachos on the menu, my inner caveman told my conscious that's what I was getting. I added chicken for a few bucks more. Portion size, it's massive and at first glance, impressive. Taste wise, it left a lot to be desired. And that's saying something after a hike! There was barely any chicken, the jalapeños had seen better days, and once I got through the initial layer of toppings, the tortilla chips were mostly bare. Off the beaten path in Boulder, Twisted has been around for a long time. Hell, we're nearly the same age! Even though my experience didn't really stand out, clearly they're doing something right. This was a cool little brewery. Spending time in Boulder over the 4th of July weekend, we needed beer and lunch. This was a great spot to fuel up before we continued our adventure that afternoon. You order at the bar, and then pickup from a counter when your stuff is ready. The beers were all good, and the meatball sliders I had were tasty. They had some heady grateful dead/brewery t-shirts, tie dyed and not which I thought was cool given we were in town to see the dead. Went there on 8/28/22. Been to Boulder numerous times but the first time at this brewery. Looks like they have converted their parking lot into a large patio. Do you have to park across the way. It is bigger than it looks. Good amount of seating up front but it looks like they have have a larger seating area and another bar in the back probably when it gets really busy. Good selection of beer. From light to dark. They are known for their Chili Beers. Bartenders were very friendly. We tried the raspberry wheat, watermelon gose and rye Hefeweizen. They have many flight options with a few already put together or a make your own with 5 beers for $15. Apricot in the Act was awesome sour and Billy's Chilies was a spicy beer, similar to the flavor after eating jalapeño kettle corn chips. Unfortunately, our server seemed super uninterested and seemed inconvenienced when we asked for food or drink recommendations. We had a great beer stop here on a tour of a few Boulder breweries. There was hardly anyone there on this particular visit, so we had a great attentive staff member who walked us through all of the beer options. My husband loves anything spicy so he was particularly interested in their Billy's Chillies options. We got a flight of a few different options and as an east coast IPA fan, I enjoyed their London Fog best. They have both indoor and outdoor seating (a parking lot patio with picnic tables and umbrellas in the summer). They do have some food options, but we had just eaten so we stuck to the beer. The entrance and exit is one way and before you can enter their outdoor seating, they do temperature checks on everybody. With menus completely online, safety is a top priority. Great food and beer! I've been here twice now and have been more than satisfied each time. I tried one of their shandies today (here, they mix beer and kombucha). I am obsessed! Mine was mixed with a lavender kombucha, and it was the perfect refreshing drink to have on a warm day. My boyfriend had some IPA drink that had coffee in it, and that tastes really good too!
