Third time here last night. Biggest complaint is they don't keep their website current, so most of the beers we had planned to try weren't on the menu wall when we got there. We started with a flight and ranked them in this order: * Holy Craic Irish Red Ale (#2 for my wife) * Golden Boy Kolsch (#1 for my wife) * Steel Cut Stout * Twisted Amber (neither liked) * Dublin Magic Irish Stout (neither liked) After the flight, we both enjoyed two of the beers we enjoyed the most. For food, we each got a side Caesar salad. Large and with lots of flavor, they were very good. We each then got the Mediterranean pizza. I added chicken to mine. My wife liked hers, while I was disappointed in mine. I didn't find the flavor to be great, and the crust was rather flimsy and disappointing. Pizza here on our first visit had been great, so again, this was disappointing. Service was friendly enough. I'm sure we'll be back again.
Fifteen years later and this remains my go to spot for a delicious brews (love the Cerise) and bites (the lemon pepper wings and pepperoni pizza are a must). From game days (televised or board/card) to happy hour catch ups I love coming here for the laid back and family friendly vibes. I've enjoyed having my birthday party here for the last handful of years (they have amazing event space). As it's family friendly my crew always feels happy to bring their well behaved little one along. While my friends are sure to bring activities for their kiddos (books, toys, educational iPad devices) some folks aren't as considerate. I've definitely had the unfortunate experience of kids running amuck while their parents are fully attentive only to their brewskis. This was particularly disturbing as I've been recovering from a knee injury for several months and my partner has often been with me and on crutches. Would love to see people take more responsibility for their children's behavior when taking them out in public for everyone's safety. While it's Boulder afterall I hold hope that parents will look after their kids if they decide to bring them in or drop them to the nearby kiddos climbing facility if they wanna play. Looking forward to many more good times with friends at this awesome locally owned gem.

At first, we weren't sure what beers to try because of their vast variety. Kindly, the bartender helping us said, "Why don't you try the two you're between?" Personally, I appreciate when a bartender offers this. As a customer, you don't always want to ask but you also don't want to be stuck with a beer you don't love. So big thank you and shout out to the team for this! The inside was a neat, almost pub-ish atmosphere. We opted to sit on the patio with our pup, which has a peak of a mountain view and real mellow vibes. It was exactly what we needed to have a laid back conversation with one another. Ultimately, we'd go back! The beer reminded us of beer we had abroad. Plus, they are known for the majority of their beers being gluten-reduced, less than 20 ppm gluten. Personally, I could tell. I felt less bloated and lighter after these beers than others.

Stopped here after a hike in Boulder. Nice establishment that offers indoor and outdoor seating. They offered plenty of picnic tables that had shade. We got the wings and they were good! I typically love IPAs but unfortunately did not like any of theirs and we tried them all :( as their name stated twisted pine and they did taste "piney" and a bit biter for my taste buds. My husband did enjoy them all so there is that :) Service was good you just walk up the inside counter and place your beer and food order there. They give you a buzzer to come back and get your food so if you're looking for a place that offers full service this isn't you spot but if you want tasty food, good ambiance this is your join!

Twisted Pine has been a Boulder staple since 1995. That's saying something considering Colorado is home to no shortage of breweries. I won't be shouting my first experience from the Flatirons, however I must pay respect for the path Twisted has paved for those who've come after. My buddy and I headed to Twisted after a quick Yelp search post hike. We wanted good beer (duh) and good food, and Twisted seemed like it fit the bill. Upon arrival, their outdoor patio is worth noting. Though in a parking lot, it's spruced up well. I can see it being packed like sardines over the summer. Inside is a unique space that's deceivingly large. It's really two taprooms in one! For the most part you'll hang out in the front room, and I bet the back room is used for private parties and events. A pretty big tap list greets you in addition to a sizable food menu. You order your beer and food at the bar, and pickup your food once your buzzer rings. We had some awkward service right off the and sometimes that's difficult to shake. It did improve over time, but we didn't really seem welcome upon arrival. Beer wise, I had the Patio Pounder (session IPA) and Hoppy Boy (pale ale). I was in a bitter, hoppy mood and these both hit the spot. My friend liked his beer too, even though I can't remember his order. As soon as I saw Nachos on the menu, my inner caveman told my conscious that's what I was getting. I added chicken for a few bucks more. Portion size, it's massive and at first glance, impressive. Taste wise, it left a lot to be desired. And that's saying something after a hike! There was barely any chicken, the jalapeños had seen better days, and once I got through the initial layer of toppings, the tortilla chips were mostly bare. Off the beaten path in Boulder, Twisted has been around for a long time. Hell, we're nearly the same age! Even though my experience didn't really stand out, clearly they're doing something right. Based on my experience, I'd stick to the beer!
I wish I was closer love the atmosphere, beer and food!!! Today I had a The Fig pizza. It was so good and paired well with my Billy's Chillies beer. What a great ending to a perfect day!! Love Colorado

We had a nice visit to this comfortable brewery. The bartender was pretty nice and we enjoyed the beers. Pros: FunBarrel IPA with tangerine notes, easy lot parking Cons: Expensive flights at $17.50- why? Although the regular pours were reasonably priced. Curt service. Bathrooms a bit shoddy with drop ceilings, no purse hook, dingy cabinetry. Food looks pretty unappealing so we didn't even try it. Atmosphere a mix of student/ young professionals and some families including a baby walking around without shoes. Not favorably impressed. read more

Stopped here after a hike in Boulder. Nice establishment that offers indoor and outdoor seating. They offered plenty of picnic tables that had shade. We got the wings and they were good! Large outdoor patio flowing into the parking lot. Outside pretty busy. Inside looks somewhat unfinished. Ceiling wires exposed, back door side unkempt. Brewery counter area has a nice display of the beers. Boulder fog and pineapple king were decent to good. The pizza was really good. Staff was friendly. Suggest they make that speciality jalapeño to the regular menu read more

Ghost Face Killah beer (left) and Twisted Switchel kombucha (right). Truly a spicy beer. The kombucha is a nice grape flavor and made with Yerba mate. Pretzels are good. But the pickles are way better. I would buy a whole pickle, or the jar read more

Went there on 8/28/22. Been to Boulder numerous times but the first time at this brewery. Looks like they have converted their parking lot into a large patio. Do you have to park across the way. It is bigger than it looks. Good amount of seating up front but it looks like they have have a larger seating area and another bar in the back probably when it gets really busy. Good selection of beer. From light to dark. They are known for their Chili Beers. Bartenders were very friendly. We tried the raspberry wheat, watermelon gose and rye Hefeweizen. All beers were very solid. Good on a summer day. Definitely recommend! They do have a good menu. Looks like pizza and wings. Did not try the good. Cheers! read more

We were looking for a brewery after a day of hiking to relax and unwind. We love sours, so we decided the Twisted Pine Brewing Co could be a great option. Before seating, they checked everyone's temperature and had great outdoor seating options in the shade. They have many flight options with a few already put together or a make your own with 5 beers for $15. Apricot in the Act was awesome sour and Billy's Chilies was a spicy beer, similar to the flavor after eating jalapeño kettle corn chips. Unfortunately, our server seemed super uninterested and seemed inconvenienced when we asked for food or drink recommendations. For the food, we got the Mediterranean pizza which wasn't that great and had an overpowering basil taste. Truthfully, not sure if I would return. We had a great beer stop here on a tour of a few Boulder breweries. There was hardly anyone there on this particular visit, so we had a great attentive staff member who walked us through all of the beer options. My husband loves anything spicy so he was particularly interested in their Billy's Chillies options. We got a flight of a few different options and as an east coast IPA fan, I enjoyed their London Fog best. They have both indoor and outdoor seating (a parking lot patio with picnic tables and umbrellas in the summer). They do have some food options, but we had just eaten so we stuck to the beer. I definitely recommend giving this place a shot the next time you're frequenting Boulder breweries! read more

Twisted Pine Brewing Company is doing a great job amidst the ongoing pandemic. The entrance and exit is one way and before you can enter their outdoor seating, they do temperature checks on everybody. With menus completely online, safety is a top priority. For $15 you can get a beer flight with five of the beers they offer. It is a great way to sample all of the different offerings. For my meal, I got a pulled pork sandwich. Admittedly, I was a little disappointed - not because it was bad, but my friends pizzas looked much better. Overall though, it was a great experience. read more
Great food and beer! I've been here twice now and have been more than satisfied each time. I tried one of their shandies today (here, they mix beer and kombucha). I am obsessed! Mine was mixed with a lavender kombucha, and it was the perfect refreshing drink to have on a warm day. My boyfriend had some IPA drink that had coffee in it, and that tastes really good too! We also got some Jamaican jerk wings and were in love! Fun tip if you like spicy - give their Ghost Face Killah a sample. The heat doesn't hit you at first, but oh my gosh it burns your throat after you give it a few seconds. Although I couldn't have a full drink of it, it was fun to try! read more

Cool atmosphere and great outdoor seating options. Lots of beer options (but about average for a brewery). Unfortunately they were out of several beers and food items when we went so couldn't get the full experience due to a reduced menu. The service was good and the bartenders were knowledgeable about their beers. Plus close to several other brewery's to go back and forth if wanting to do a brew hop. read more

Stopped in for an ale tasting on a Sunday evening. I sat at the bar and ordered the following ales: Hoppy Boy APA (5.7% ABV) Hop Zealot IPA (7.4% ABV) Marooned Red IPA (7.5% ABV) 100 Cent IPA (7.0% ABV) Intercept IPA (7.4% ABV) All were enjoyable ales - well crafted and executed. So glad I stopped at Twisted Pine after a long day of hiking. Their patio wasn't that busy at all on a Monday at 5:30, and tables were spaced out anyway. They took my temperature before seating me, and required masks to be worn away from your table. Service was friendly, and fast. I ordered the porker sandwich and a flight of beer (comes with 5). The sandwich was super delicious, and I enjoyed trying each of the beers but my favorite was the Cerise. I appreciated how many different kinds of beer they had to choose from. If I lived in the area, this brewery would be my spot! read more

Came to Boulder for the day and stopped here for some brews. Can't go wrong. Amazing beer and good selection. Didn't catch the name of the girl working but service was outstanding and she recommended some great beers for our flight. The raspberry wheat was our favorite but honestly everything in our flight was 10/10. We also ordered the pretzel sticks. And the honey siracha wings were insanely good, great flavoring served with carrots and celery. Spacious brewery with great seating both inside and out. Definitely would come back to try the rest of their beers! read more
