I'm really excited to visit again. The staff, the regulars, the trivia host...everyone was friendly and welcoming. The beers are delicious. Acceleration is a very good IPA. Some malty notes and great bitter hops flavors kept me wanting more. The Barrel Aged Acceleration really gets you going. Caramel, smoke, oak, and bourbon flavors on top of a fantastic IPA. I'm a sucker for West Coast IPAs, so I had to try the Galactic Orbit two times. Great pone and citrus notes along with a round malty profile made it really nice. Definitely visit Gravity when you're in Louisville. read more

Gravity Brewing is spacious with wooden high tops and booths. It's a good place to meet up for couples or groups. They have a shelf with some board games or you could bring your own! I love gravity beers! However, if you wish to have food, then they point you to a "separate" business inside their space. This business is terrible. You walk up to the order window, yet they won't take your order! They point you to a pad and force you to go through a really horrible interface to enter an order as if you were remote. Ambiance and service was top notch when we stopped by on a quiet and sunny Sunday afternoon to take advantage of their ample outdoor seating. This really is a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon outside with friends and family playing games and chatting. The only thing missing here in my opinion is a good IPA. The sours, lagers and heffs are all great but the IPA's are just lacking something. I sampled the DIPA, AIPA and their Hazy and they were just, meh. This place is officially one of my favorites. I appreciate that it's not your typical oversized bar with sports on everywhere and everyone's shouting over one another. It is a cozier brewery that allows you the chance to get to know new folks sitting beside you. The flavors of the beer are out of this world delicious. My husband tried some coffee brew and it was fairly light but the after taste was much like drinking coffee. I ordered a blood orange and it was a heavier brew but the flavor was astounding. The service was great as the gentleman at the bar was willing to help us pick out a flavor and allow us to sample a few before picking. Over all 10/10! read more

We got the meet the master brewer (magician) Taylor and as soon as we fell in love with his amazing art (we even had to buy some to go!), we learned he is going to be leaving in a few weeks... From the crowds here on the snowy Friday evening we visited, I can only surmise that this is one of THE happening places in Louisville! Though that's not a surprise at all, given how there's something for every one in the family and we can easily bring our toddler here without judgment. Note: It's also a great place for a casual date if you're lucky to be able to leave the little one(s) at home with a sitter. My husband (aka The Beer Lover) had a grand old time asking all about the different beers and choosing several to imbibe. I was all about the selection of board games and being able to indulge in pizza and buffalo chicken wings. Mmm...yes. The only less-than-ideal thing about Gravity Brewing is that given its popularity, finding seats can be challenging. Stopped into Gravity for a quick one and a bite to eat. The Acceleration double IPA is perfect for an IPA lover! We also got an order of buffalo wings and shashito peppers. We went to gravity for a beer and some French fries. They have a very nice beer garden. My beer was great. My husband not so much but he has picked a funky one. It's my favorite brewery in the Louisville/Lafayette area (both because the beer is good and it's a nice place). I'm a pretty big fan of the food too. Unfortunately on my last visit (and the only time I've been inside during COVID) at any given time half the kitchen staff had no mask on at all while cooking or within 6ft of the order window. Two of the guys seemed to always have them on, but the other two hardly ever did, and when they did their noses weren't covered. The window is in full view of everyone in there so they weren't even trying to hide but just clearly didn't care. There's no excuse, so at least for now - one star. Thank you for the for the quick response and update, I'll add another star just for that. You're right, I should have (and will) posted that on the Gastronauts page instead, however given that it's effectively inside you're brewery (and none of the brewery staff seemed to be doing anything about the issue at the time) I still feel that it is Gravity's responsibility so I'm glad to hear that you have addressed it. We came here on date night tonight, excited to try this place because last time we came they were restricted in capacity and didn't have room. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. The food was very bland, I had the meatball sub and my hubby had the burger. My meatballs were like something out of the freezer section of the grocery store with Ragu sauce and my hubby described the burger as "generic". It felt like cafeteria food. Based on the reviews we were expecting much better. The girl serving our food was friendly and attentive. The bartender (black hair) on the other hand...oh my... I'm not sure how she still has her job, especially in Covid times. 80% of the time we were there she was sitting down and nose in her phone without her mask on across from customers. Not once did she pay attention to us or other customers until we were leaving when she asked us to walk our trays over to the bus station. Yeah...because she was "so busy" she couldn't do that herself. We won't be returning. Bummer. read more

We had a memorial wake at Gravity Brewing for a loved one who used to love going there. Lawrence, Sheila, and Dominic at Gravity were all so wonderful, helpful, kind, and accommodating! Our family and guests all felt very much welcomed and cared for. They answered all our questions promptly during the planning process, and Dominic was even kind enough to show up to meet a delivery for us the day before our event and to allow us to store our huge order of cupcakes in their walk-in fridge. Then, on the day of the event, all three of them were there looking after things for the duration of the event--helping out, answering questions patiently, and encouraging us to move things around, decorate, and make the place our own. Our event went absolutely perfectly, thanks to them. We're so grateful to them for being such helpful and gracious hosts! read more

Gravity is a rather large brewery with plenty of seating inside, as well as an outdoor patio. There is no shortage of board games and even a ping pong table. There is a walk-up restaurant inside that serves bar style food. We didn't order any but I saw a pizza come out and it looked and smelled amazing. As far as the brews, I loved that they have about 4 Belgians. I went with the Mendacious, an 8.1% Belgian-Style Golden Strong. It did not taste like it had that high of an alcohol content. It was highly drinkable and enjoyable. The largest selection they offer is of Pales/IPA's. They also have some Lagers and Stouts. So all in all its a very varied selection. This is a great place to come spend a few hours eating, drinking, and relaxing with friends. read more

Nice selection of beers, the Orange Blossom saison is definitively my favorite right now. I also like the Coal Kriek, tart cherry taste, nicely balanced with some sweetness to it. For coffee lovers, the Coffee Desertas is perfect to end a tasting. A lot of their beers come in 4oz, 9oz and 16oz Draft, 32oz and 64oz Growler which is nice. Fantastic! I am a porter guy and was disappointed when I heard they didn't have a porter on tap as they just ran out. Feeling my sadness, the awesome bartender (female) suggested a mixed beer since I don't care for stouts. She gave me a sample of a Tsar Bomba Stout mixed with a Coal Kriek Belgian Ale. OMG, it was good!!! Probably as close to a porter without being a porter. I love this place. Add in the fantastic food from Gastronauts, ping pong tables, and a variety of seating and you have an outstanding place which could rival "Cheers". read more

Checked this place out on opening night as we are acquaintances with the owner's parents. They currently have 6 types of beer on tap, ranging from a 4.7% to an 11% in strength. DH and I split two flights, so that we could try them all. I thought all were good - none were hoppy, which I don't like in my beer, and I could tell some of the subtle notes, which is rare for me. Food is available at the neighboring kitchen and ranges from apps to sandwiches. Onion rings were mediocre, being from a box. But it's nice to have that option so do check it out for yourself. Overall, somewhere between 4-5 stars, I'm sure it'll be a bit more comfortable when not crazy crowded, at the time it was very hard for me to hear but a nice new place to have available and good beer from a local brewmaster! read more

Congrats Gravity Brewing! For only being open for 6 months, you're already one of my favorites! Of course, I came for the beer, but there was so much more that made Gravity a place I want to visit again. The tasting room is huge; not what I was expecting for a new brewery! Nice large tables for spreading out or meeting new people, a bar that goes on forever, a pool table, & ping pong table. One big bonus, they share a kitchen with the American Legion next door so they offer food without the overhead of dealing with a kitchen of their own. Of course, you can bring in your own food as well so if you're too good for American Legion food then you aren't stuck with it. Now the beer...I liked them all, I really did. You could say that I'm easy to please because I enjoy all styles of beer, but there do exist some beers that I don't like. Some don't have enough malt to balance the hops, some are just "meh", some just suck. Now, I did have some favorites. The ESB was wonderful. Malty goodness at its best! Then there was the barrel aged blonde. Hard to describe but sooo tasty! Then there was Julius. The guy walking around cleaning up & taking care of things wasn't just an employee, he's the co-founder & brewer. Once I found out who he was, I introduced myself as a home brewer & and asked for a tour. He was more than happy to share his love & enthusiasm for brewing. He topped off our beer and then spent at least 30 minutes telling us all about their process and answering my beer nerd questions. Thanks very much Julius, you've created a great brewery! read more

Drove up because my wife found this a few weeks ago while I was away on business. Great beers on tap in their tap room. Tried the Barrel aged double accelerator IPA and the Tsar bomba Russian imperial stout on this trip. Both are unique and unlike any beer I've previously tried at other breweries. IPA lovers will like that it generally has 3 IPA options. It shares a space with the restaurant Gastronauts, which serves tasty large pizzas. The wings and fries are just okay (think bar food), but I'll go back when I have a pizza hankering. I wish they had some healthier food options? I liked that the Brewery wasn't crowded. We found a table and ordered our beers with no wait. It's not fancy inside, but that's not the vibe the Brewery is going for. It's a fun place to hang out. We had a bit of trouble finding the Brewery. Enter the shopping center and drive BEHIND the buildings. Keep going until you see the Brewery on your left. read more

Overall, outstanding dark / heavy beers in the most family-friendly environment I've ever seen in a taproom. The location is a bit hole-in-the-wall, but that lends well to the great atmosphere inside with a huge bar, lots of space, and a few aging barrels scattered about. After being satisfied on several visits with their Belgians and Russian Imperial Stout, I went crazy on a recent visit and tried the much lighter Cream Ale. I've had great cream ales, but this one was practically flavorless. To both customer and brewer, I'd say stick with the high-gravity specialty. read more

We happened to be driving by and stopped in one night. We loved it from the moment we walked in. I love a craft brewery that is large and open with the tanks in full view. The bar is massive and curves along the brewery. They have a large garage door that they open when the weather is nice as well. But best of all, a great selection of brews on tap. I loved the Louisville Belgian Abbey. The double IPA was also very complex . They have a nice selection of glassware to compliment the style beer. Another great feature: Ping Pong Table and Pool Table, Yay! And, also they have a flat screen TV. I know some breweries don't like to have TV's, but why not? We will be back again for sure. Small suggestion.. Please carry some snacks or a food truck or soft pretzels as there was not a stitch to eat here, but it is ok to bring your own. read more
