I went mountain biking with a buddy in the Louisville/South Boulder area and we wanted to hit a brewery after on the way back to Denver. Yelp to the rescue!! I didnt even know about this place..and im glad I found it! They have some great Belgian styles on tap, along with some solid pales/IPAs. My fav was one of the barrel aged they had (those rotate often). They also just finished a nice beer garden in the back. Picnic tables and nice shading canopies. The inside is also set up with picnic tables and has pool/ping pong. Its a bit hard to find (next to the VFW). But otherwise very awesome place! read more

I'm a fan for sure. Plenty of room to hang out and drink a few beers with friends, nice garage doors to let in a cool breeze, and tons of friendly staff. The Double IPA was really good, the Pale Ale tastes similar to Dales, and Blonde tastes like a typical Belgium beer, but with some kind of twist that I can't place because I already threw back a few by that time. Had heard good things about this place so checked it out after going to Liquid Mechanics up the road. Decided to save our growler for here and totally regret that decision. Some really bad beer here. Left without even filling it. They were celebrating their 6th anniversary I think so there was a party going on and they had some special releases going on. Actual place was nice and had a good vibe. Drank the barleywine which was extremely average then tried my wife's ipa and it had a detergent like aftertaste. Tried another ipa which was very underwhelming. Only plus for me was the pizza. Stopped in on a slow Friday afternoon, we were the only ones there! The beertender, Briggs, was awesome. He spent a lot of time with us talking about the different beers they had available and helping us pick out what we wanted. We had stopped in to grab some crowlers on our way to Estes for the weekend, and it was great to grab some solid beers and chat with Briggs on our way up there! The Black Array was also quite good. It had all of what I look for in a Black IPA, roastiness, a strong hop presence, and easy to drink. Their other beers are all quite good as well. Would definitely stop here again. read more

If you are into barrel aged beers, Gravity does a stellar job. I had a flight of beers that includes the Cerveza, Mendacious, Jingle Juice, Barrel Aged Jingle Juice, and Barrel aged Tsar. I enjoyed the barrel aged beers but thought the others were just ok. Did not try the food but the pizzas looked and smelled great! The brewery itself was very inviting and fun. This place is a really great brewery a bit off the main Louisville downtown area. Definitely worth the walk. The variation in styles is amazing for one brewery. There is something for everyone here and they are all done very well. The prices are right, the quality is good, and there is good food available. The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is the space. It is a bit dark and plain. Other than that this place is great. This review is going to be about the food we tried. I don't want to keep people from eating there but I'm hoping the person in charge will accept a little constructive criticism. Pizza sauce should have flavor. Oregano and basil at least. The sauce ruined the pizza for me because it tasted like plain tomato sauce with sugar in it. That was it. No other predominant flavors. The Grilled Caesar was decent but again the dressing was really sweet. I've never had sweet Caesar dressing and when I make it, there is no sugar added. I'm curious why they would want to cover the taste of food with sugar. Food is rich with flavor and each one unique and delicious. That's what people want. I know, I know it's pub food, expectations should be low, but why? Why not be able to enjoy a great beer with great food? I don't know if I'll go back for the food. Probably not. There is stiff competition out there. I personally don't want to settle. Oh and by the way, it was effing cold in there. Eating with a coat on isn't enjoyable. read more

A really nice little brewery that opened up in Louisville! Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable and the place was very busy. I had the Blonde and the Pale Ale which were both rich and had a great taste to it! It is not far from downtown Louisville so it makes sense to do some shopping and have beer. This is probably one of the best kept secrets in Louisville. I walked in here on Saint Patrick's Day and it wasn't too full at all (granted, Louisville isn't exactly party town, USA). I wanted to get a growler of something good to enjoy for the day and I asked to sample the creme ale and the Belgian white. The bartender gladly poured me samples and then she went and poured me a glass of their Louisville Belgian, a dubbel. I'll be damned if that lady didn't nail my tastes without even knowing me! That dubbel was amazing and I drank pretty much the entire growler that day. While the space still lacks a little flair, it's nice and open and has a lot of potential. Next time you're in Louisville, get yourself to Gravity. You won't regret it! read more

This place is a mega hidden gem. It's located in the same building as a VFW, separated by a little restaurant kitchen and a hallway, and the building itself is in a kind of hard to access lot behind an appliance store and Down Under wine and spirits. I didn't have a beer I didn't like here. They have a few Belgians that were surprisingly good. Their IPA's were also not hopped to the point where they were undrinkable. Kind of makes me hope that breweries are starting to get away from the whole "We're gonna jam pack this IPA full of hops until it tastes like flowers and chemicals and you're going to like it if you want to be cool". Good porters and stouts here too. I'm giving this place five stars for the tap room. There are a ton of great breweries in Boulder county, but their tap rooms all kind of suck as far as hanging out and drinking a few beers socially. The tap room here has a pool table, ping-pong tables and tons of seating. I've always found friendly people up here, sometimes families earlier in the evening. Also, it's nice to have a place like this in the entertainment void that is Louisville/Lafayette. read more

Nestled in a weird little area off the main drag, Gravity really was a great stop on a recent brewery tour. Connected with the American Legion next door it gave off a pretty similar vibe of a big space to do a lot of drinking and BS'ing in. I enjoyed it and was very impressed by all of the beers I tried. I remember them having a large list of brews, but at the moment I can't recall my favorite. I'm assuming it was the 9% fogging up my memory. Stopped in here to try out this brewery as it's on a very long list of breweries to visit in the area. Great selection of different beers pale ales, porters, IPA's, and stouts. We ordered a flight which we enjoyed except for one but other than that their beers were on point! Great open space, selection of board games, and ping pong! We definitely will be back! read more

This is a brand new brewery in Louisville. It is tucked behind Mountain High Appliance next door to the American Legion. It has a pool table and even a ping pong table! The beers are excellent and the atmosphere is open and relaxed. We had a big group chilling at one of the picnic tables inside last night and everyone had a GREAT time. Its funny that you order your food from the American Legion. The good news is that it is good food. I was worried it would be more 'plastic' but it was a nice compliment to the hand crafted beers. One thing I would suggest they do is move the smokers away from the front door outside. Whenever the door opened their stinky smells came wafting into the building... YUCK! But otherwise it was a great experience and I'm sure it will be a frequent for us. read more

They have ping pong, board games and bags for free, and pool for $1. They also have a pop up restaurant onsite, Gastronauts, with good (if slightly expensive) bar food. I found this place disappointing on many levels. First, was that it was located behind a strip mall away from all the other nightlife up the street. Second, the atmosphere lacked and there was absolutely no energy. It seemed like you had groups of people sitting around playing games (cards, board games) but no one socializing or really being into the beer. It seemed more like a place to have a beer and play games in lieu of sitting at home. Definitely not what I was expecting or looking for. As for the beer, it was fine. Very spacious bar with an outdoor patio in the back, they have a wide variety of brews to choose from. Tried a sampler of three different IPAs, favorite was the Rye. Beers are midrange price and very tasty. Was there during off hours so not busy or loud and service was fast and attentive. Beers come in multiple sizes to facilitate sampling, which is nice that you don't have to order a whole pint of something. read more

Great beer! Check out the great bier garden in the back. Ping pong inside. They have a wide range of beers too. Had a special lambic on tap when we arrive, plus a really good oak aged brew as well. Inside there is ping pong and a pool table. We opted for the amazing beer garden. Its big and open with canopies provided for shade. All of the workers were super helpful and friendly. Gravity has the casual, unpretentious atmosphere you want at a brewery. The beers we had were good and they had a nice selection of options, including some barrel aged beers. The servers were nice and friendly. The food was just average bar food but I was pleased to see vegetarian options on the menu, including a veggie burger and buffalo cauliflower (which was great!). I'm only docking one star because, while I love the casual vibe, it was a bit dirty feeling and I think the seating and tables could be done in a way to make it feel more welcoming. It was also FREEZING inside. When I drink beer I like to feel cozy, so I found that part of the atmosphere a bit off putting, but maybe that's just me. The wings are good (7.5/10) and the other fare is typical, but that's not why you're here...it's the beer, right? Right! On to the beers! Gravity has jumped into the type of beers I like. Authoritatively high gravity brews with flavor, body, and character. The Belgian styles are good, but not quite to an Ommegang style authenticity. The brewery was great, friendly staff that knew a lot about the beers they served. It was really busy but the staff was always top notch and inviting. the beers were wonderful. However, the food window (within the brewery) which i was told is from the local American Legion. Was the exact opposite experience. Terrible food and even worse customer service. My girlfriend and I have gone to Gravity Brewing the past two Saturday afternoons. We really enjoy the free ping pong, and cornhole, plus the beer is great! My girlfriend isn't a fan of hoppy beers, so she enjoys the Golden Mosiac Summer Ale, it has a strong citrus flavor without the hoppy after taste. As well as the Schwag, which is a refreshing German hops pils-lager. I myself enjoy their Newtonian ESB, which has a great balance of malt and hops, and a nice sweet finish. I was so impressed with the ESB that I had to buy a growler of it to bring home, 10 bucks for the jug, 15 to fill it - Not bad at all. read more

In my opinion, good breweries either need to have great beer or great ambiance. Great ones have both. Gravity is the epitome of a great brewery. The wide variety of beers are all top flight, I recommend Mendacious or Czar Bomba. The friendly staff, Biergarten, TVs (football season!), and music selection (live or streaming) make the newcomer feel welcome. Briggs, Jen, and Andrea are all great bartenders who keep your glass full and are always willing to get creative with new concoctions and mixtures. Pair this with Gastronauts for great food (try the broccoli), and you have the makings for a great happy hour, social event, or late night event! read more
