Gabbagool Pizza
Shawn S.

Met some family here that recommended the place. Ordered a seasonal blonde beer that was good. For food we ordered the Gabbagool pizza and Dagny pizza. Both were good but the Gabbagool will make me come back. That was a perfect Pizza. Service was quick with the place being busy. Will decibel be back when back in town, and would highly recommend.

Made the trek to Lafayette for beer and some food. Westbound & Down was trying out its lunch menu with sandwiches, salads, and personal pizza options. The prices look pricey, but the amount of food and quality of the ingredients are worth it. The servers are friendly. Orders are placed at the register, but food and beverages are brought to the many table options. The Lonesome Drifter was a rich imperial stout with hints of the Black Maple Hill whiskey barrel it was aged in. The Italian sandwich was full of flavor and piled high. Nestled between fresh focaccia bread, four different meats, cheese, pickled onions, and olive tapenade make this sandwich a flavor bomb.

My wife and I had very good 1st experience. We enjoyed the pizza & hoppy beers. The judges at Great American Beer Fest are extremely talented and picky. To win so many GABF medals is mind boggling.

My local and very a great reason. Friendly staff, great service combined with some of CO's best craft beers.

Dear Westbound & Down Mill, I will go refill my beer and pizza craving with you anyday. Your beer is refreshing, crisp and comes in 16 different varieties. While your pizza is crispy, filling and again comes in 2 different styles and multiple flavors. You clever dawg, hitting all the markets for pizza and beer. (clap emoji) Cheers, Hannah P.S. Your space is amazing, too. Super chill vibes. You can see the mountains through the window or seated on the patio! BONUS FORSURE.

I already can't wait to go back. Drove up from Denver just to try the pizza! First off, they are my favorite beer I have found in Colorado. So bonus to find out they have amazing pizza. Almost want to keep it secret. Lol Came on a busy day with the pup. Ordered pizza and a large beer and sat on the patio. The pizza was some of the best I have had here. So crispy and fresh with plenty of toppings. Recommending to all my friends, and I will def be back.

Really good pizza and good beer. I had the 95th street and my fiance had the pizza of the week which was a white pizza with ricotta and potatoes. Both really good and you should try the hatch chile flakes. I've only tried the square detroit style but they also have round hand tossed. I had a juicy caboose ipa and she had an old fashioned, both solid. I also liked the all aboard hazy ipa and fruit squad sour.

Pizza and beer - what's not to like? Well, we are not deep dish pizza fans and that is exactly what the "square" pizza is. Too doughy and cheesy for my taste. The beer was fine, my "Colorado" was a little flat, which was pretty disappointing since we are supposedly at the brewery. The menu has a few appetizers, salads and then mainly pizzas (there is a kids menu too). The pizza options are "square" or "round" although they don't distinguish on other differences. It appears that the round might have been a thin crust. Yes, we should have asked but honestly, why not just put that on the menu? Very odd. Not sure we'll be back. Maybe in summer because they have outdoor seating and it's walking distance from my house so we could wander over for a beverage. Probably not though.

This place is great! super clean atmosphere with lovely bright tile everywhere. Plenty of TV's around the dining areas for sports and even an outdoor space if you have puppers with you. Great rotating beer selection there as they make it so always something for you to try but if they have it, get the tropical arts hazy ipa. gahh it was so delicious!! They also make suuuuch good pan detroit style pizza here, but i was blown away by these cheesy breadsticks. the side dipping marinara is mouth wateringly good. definitely have to ask for more on that one.

Great brewery where Endo used to be located with a nice selection of 18 beers on tap (some of them available in cans to go), even a few wines and delicious pizzas. Square ones are deep dish, round ones regular. When I went with a few friends, I was impressed with the quality of the food, everything looked very fresh and tasty. There is a patio that will be great when the weather gets warmer!

Had the spicy Cuban sandwich. Very greasy and not much taste. The Italian pilsner was great.

My friends & I were staying in the area and looking for a casual spot to eat. Luckily this was in…read morewalking distance. The sound and the joy gave off such a great vibe immediately when walking into this establishment. This review is based on a sit down dinner and a take out on another night because our sit down was so good! Here's all that we tried: POST CHEDDAR BISCUITS - hot and cheesy - these were not as flakey as they looked like they were going to be. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. ROASTED BRUSSELS SPROUTS - sweet and spicy peppers, garlic mojo, cotija cheese | *a portion of sales from this item go to Zero Foodprint -- an org working to combat climate change in the food & beverage industry - these were good, great crispiness, char was flavorful and the sauce was sweet and tangy. Subsequently, I made a hash for breakfast with leftovers from here and these proved to be GOOD flavoring. GREEN CHILE BISON SAUSAGE BOARD (LAFAYETTE) - Rock river bison sausages, hard boiled eggs, dill pickles, bread and butter pickle relish, baked baguette, peach honey mustard - I'm a sucker for charcuterie, the bison sausage was so delicious, I ordered another after we finished the first. This also went into the next day hash! FRIED HALF CHICKEN - our famous gluten free fried chicken, choice of side, pickles, and a biscuit - ordered this on or second visit (takeout night) and did not regret a thing. It was fantastically fried to crispy perfection. The chicken was juicy and tasted like they brined it in pickle juice. CHICKEN TENDERS - all natural tenders, breaded and fried, served with ranch - good chicken, also went into the hash. OG POST BURGER*- american cheese, bacon onion jam, special sauce, griddled sourdough english muffin & fries - good burger, personally, I'd appreciate better cheese! QUINOA & KALE - quinoa, kale, arugula, roasted sweet potatoes, pickled red onions, roasted tomatoes, cucumbers, toasted sesame and sunflower crunch, lemon tahini dressing - the dressing MADE this salad, good job Chef! PUEBLO GREEN CHILE MAC & CHEESE - nothing spectacular, I would have liked this with more green chile and a better cheese base. The parking isn't a lot, but it didn't seem like people had trouble at all. We walked. It's a great little neighborhood restaurant. As I said early on, it was tasty enough to warrant a second visit!

Sure it's not WeldWerks crazy but it's certainly more adventurous than a lot of breweries offering wise. Was a nice day so the patio was lively. The old brew house has now been converted to additional seating and it can also be rented out as an event space. They've added a permanent food truck in the middle of the patio. Burgers and salads but some nice side options as well. Four or five tables for seating directly across from the truck and some lower seats to lounge or chill as if you were around the campfire. Not needed for this year's mild winter but patio heaters too! Inside you've got bar seating. Plenty of tables both high and low. Even a quieter "kids nook" with some toys and a number of books. Huge perk as a parent is that BOTH bathrooms have a baby changing table! Small thing but a rarity these days. Especially having one in the men's room at all. Game and novelty vending machine adjacent to the brewery merch. They have a large number of board games for rent as well as hosting a number of game nights. Great space and vibe. A very mixed crowd of people and pets. Didn't mention this before but dogs are allowed inside AND on the patio. Long overdue for a return but really glad we stopped in today. Last time Odd13 was doing their own thing. During Covid they were bought by 4 Noses and now that's the whole Wilding Brands (Stem, Station 26, Denver Beer Co, etc.) They did have a few 4 Noses beers on but I'm glad to see they still have a healthy Odd13 selection. Hooray!

A friend recommended Acreage, so after a long day in Boulder, hiking and walking around town, we stopped by on a Saturday evening. And honestly, it lived up to the hype and then some. The setting is what really makes this place special. It was busy with what felt like a true local crowd--families, kids, groups of friends--all hanging out. There's a huge outdoor area with picnic table-style seating, plus some indoor space, but the real star is the view. The mountain backdrop is unreal, and the sunset we caught that night was one of those "okay, we could live here" moments. They do take reservations, and I'd highly recommend making one if you're going on a weekend. We loved it so much that we've been back twice since, once while apartment hunting and again after we moved, when we brought family to show them one of the spots that sold us on Denver. For a cider-focused spot, the food seriously overdelivered. The soft pretzels are next level--three per order and perfect for sharing. Everyone gets their own and is happy. The roasted baby carrots were just okay and probably something I'd skip next time. The Jalapeño Caesar with added chicken is really solid, and the winter salad (also with chicken) was a huge portion and great if you want something a bit lighter/greener. The Lafayette cheesesteak sandwich, though, has been the standout for me--top tier. I'm a sucker for a good sandwich and this one absolutely delivered. There are still a few things on the menu I'm looking forward to trying next time. And of course, the cider. I'm not a big beer guy and neither is my girlfriend, so this place is perfect if you're looking for an alternative. I'd definitely recommend doing a flight. They've got a wide range--from fruitier options like blueberry and apricot (crowd favorites) to drier ciders, which I tend to prefer. They also rotate some unique options--recently we tried a salted cucumber cider that was great and quite refreshing. My personal favorite is the Banjo series, which is aged in bourbon barrels. It has a subtle bourbon flavor that makes it super unique and really enjoyable. All in all, Acreage is more than just a cider spot--it's an experience. Between the views, the atmosphere, and the surprisingly great food and drinks, it's become one of our go-to places!
