This pizza place had great stone fired pizza with unique toppings! I got the DOP pizza and it was wonderful. They also have a extensive beer list, which pairs great with a knockout pizza. Their service was quick and with a smile. They had both indoor outdoor seating, both which are heated for the Boulder winter. This would be a recommended spot for me. read more

After considering many yelp reviews on Pizza in the Boulder area, I landed on this place. The menu consist of several types of unique pizzas. I chose the lamb pepperoni. And before you think that's a ugh. Let me tell you that pepperoni was amazing along with the mozzarella and the basil and their homemade marinara, this place nailed it. The staff was extremely accommodating and the ambience was well lit neat and clean. If you're a beer drinker, this place is definitely for you. I can't tell you how many taps they had along the wall, but I'm sure they have something you'd like. If you're in Boulder And you're looking for a pizza place this may not be the most popular one, but it's definitely the most unique and flavorful one. read more

$50 for 2 pizzas that are small and weigh as light as a feather?! No thank you. As soon as I felt how light the 2 pizza boxes were, I knew we were in trouble. The pizzas were so small, we had to make more food so we wouldn't be starving later in the night. We got the margarita and dop pizzas--they were so salty and the crust was so flimsy and thin. I like thin crusts, but this was too thin for my liking. I also asked for extra basil on the margarita pizza, but instead, they just provided us with a skimpy amount. The whole meal was honestly really sad and disappointing. I honestly don't get how this pizza joint is rated so highly. I've had better at Sam's Club, Costco, or other pizzerias. Our visit was strange. Seemed like they were super busy, but yet they weren't?! Maybe we just missed a rush??? Service was terrible. But not in a rude server kind of way. The two gals were pretty pleasant. Just lacked attention, detail and timing. Our pizza order took forever and then we got two of our pizzas and the third came almost 20 min later. (We were a party of 3) Arancini never came and then when it finally did - we were done with our meal. Fine cause they weren't that good. Thinking its cause of saffron infused rice??? Again, we were greeted and waited on by Bliss, who was and is absolutely fantastic at her job! We opted for no beers this time, as we were headed for a hike, but they had a great selection of local Boulder County and Denver breweries. We had the Canadian & Sweet Heat. Both, delicious and gobbled up. However, The Sweet Heat won our hearts, yet again! It's absolutely the pizza you should try if you are just ordering one. Next time, we decided we will be ordering the Sweet Heat and trying an appetizer/salad. I'll report back when we do! Overall, we had an amazing lunch! First time here and a solid Yes! Don't miss this one of a kind pizzeria tucked into a strip mall on the south side of Valmont. Perk - private parking lot so no circling the block or paying in a parking garage. Not super busy on a Saturday night but a steady flow of people Plenty of seating especially with an enclosed outdoor area. Started with the broccolini - super tasty. Was worried about capers (not a fan) but they were mild and the sauce for the broccolini was fantastic. Risotto balls were also a hit - two sauces, marinara and a pepper jelly. Go for the pepper jelly for sure. The D.O.P. Pizza was light yet filling. Plenty of arugula. The pizza comes out uncut and they provide a scissors to cut your own size. I went to Fringe for the first time with a couple of friends and I really enjoyed the food. We had a cooked squash, burrata appetizer and then we each has a pizza. I ordered the fungi with sausage pizza and it was absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and opens out to a balcony where we sat. The service was top notch, the prices reasonable and overall just a great eating experience. You should check them out. read more

One of those spots that's not only instagram worthy, but also genuinely a good place to get some pizza. Pizzas come out uncut with a little pair of scissors. At first, it felt a little silly to cut my pizza with scissors, until realizing its 10x easier than with a knife. Also let's you decide how many slices and at what size you want out of it which I thought was a small detail, but still a good one. We got the Sweet Heat sans goat cheese. Came out really oily but after letting some drip off, I was told it was BOMB. I got the Margherita, adding vegan cheese, mushroom mix & jalapeños and it was delish. We sat outside on the patio on a nice day and the vibes were immaculate. The sun came in and their music is alternative and relaxing. *Ask for a side of red pepper if you like some heat. This restaurant claims to be a wine bar; however, of the wines offered by the glass, the pinot noir was undrinkable. One of the worst wines I have ever been served in a restaurant. The gluten free pizza was terrible as well. They use a reputable brand but then ruined it and made it soggy and limp. The gimmick of using lamb for pepperoni does not magically improve a bad pizza. Funghi Pizza (sans sausage, add goat cheese) was excellent atop their expertly nurtured sourdough crust. When I see the wall of wine I'm happy. When I look at the menu I want everything. I've been about a dozen times now. I love the temperature controlled wines on tap. I've been to Fringe 3 times now, and they've been consistently excellent. I hope others catch on to this place - while the atmosphere is casual, the food would hold its own at any level. I love a good wood-fired pizza, and Fringe has some of the best around. While their margherita pizza is true to the Italian original, they also have some of the most innovative combinations I've seen. The eggplant Parmesan pizza is crisp and flavorful and the fungi pizza with truffle oil is to die for, even without the sausage (I'm a veg). I would highly recommend the arancini- like everything else, they make it from scratch with homemade risotto. They have some really great salads too - and I'm hoping to try the crispy Brussels sprouts someday. If you have the chance to save room for dessert, they are also homemade. We had this amazing white pepper ice cream with a balsamic syrup and pecans that was out of this world. read more

It wasn't busy; my server seemed to have no clue, in general, what was going on at my table. I was so miffed after the appetizer that I decided to stop there and leave. So, again, since the server was nowhere to be found, I went to the host. Suddenly the server appeared, hands me the card swiper, and WALKS AWAY. Unreal. Why not 1 star?
