We counted on the Post for so many meals during the pandemic and I have done delivery multiple times since when my husband was out of town and I am no longer driving, that we felt the need to go in person today. One of our favorite things during the pandemic when restaurants could reopen was picking up their in house chicken pot pie. It's my husband's absolute favorite chicken recipe which I used to make myself. Though I am unable to make it now that l have lost a lot of vision and not a single one we have bought elsewhere was sufficient until we ordered from The Post Boulder. After a short time it became too labor intensive for the Post to make in house back then with limited staff so they contracted with a pie facility in Denver. Compared to their own it was merely adequate so we moved on to there other in house specialties. As we were ordering gold specials for Sunday!s big game, I saw that the daily specials now include Chicken Pot Pies Thursday's so we went to try it. This ficus a personal size freshly made this morning it was nice to have for a meal with a side salad. But though good, it was not as hearty as the one we loved 5 years ago. Staff was friendly and attentive and my husbands favorite beer (El Korn) was on tap and my iced tea was customized perfectly . We even brought most of the salad home as it was a large serving for a lunch. We'll be back on Sunday for our wings and other treats that we need to pick up. And we can come back again for a lunch or dinner as the have more items for people like me who cannot eat fried chucked, with their grilled chicken or salmon. read more

We will definitely back, my kids order lemonade the server mention that the lemonade is always made there so it's fresh and even though it has sugar is wasn't that sweet but she was going to get extra sugars in case, they got their lemonade it was super sower they finished all the sugar and still was sower, I told my husband the kids where going to drink their waters because they did not like their lemonade's and to try them so he knew what I was talking about, less than 5 min later the server mention she was told they forgot to put sugar in the lemonade's and they could changed them for free for another lemonade or any drink the kids would like, this is why I'm saying they have great service because we where not expecting anything. read more

I went in thinking I would be able to order off the lunch menu since it was 1:00pm but on weekends they only serve food off the brunch menu. Disappointed I couldn't try the cauliflower wings since that was my main reason for wanting to try. I ordered the lions mane mushroom burger and got the sweets & beets as my side. I had to try it this place because I heard they are known for their fried chicken so I had to come and try it. I got the fried half chicken with a choice of one side (pueblo green mac and cheese) and it came with a cheddar biscuit. The fried chicken was gluten free and it tasted awesome! This is the kind of restaurant that you need to dine in for, not takeout. I made the mistake of only doing takeout. It's really nice inside. Pleasant warm ambience for what felt like an upscale dive/sports bar. Great for groups or dates. They looked like they had a huge drink selection, too. However, like I mentioned, I did takeout, and my order was never processed, so I showed up having to wait. There was another customer who was in the same situation as me, so I'm assuming they are just not focused on takeout. I was given free biscuits for my extra wait, so that was nice of them. If I come here again, I will only dine inside. My takeout order was not very good. I got their signature chicken sandwich. The chicken wasn't battered crispy enough for my taste. The seasoning and sauce wasn't flavorful. The french fries were soggy and over-seasoned, to the point where I just didn't want to finish them. The happy hour drink specials were pretty typical, if I recall. Maybe something like $1 off draughts. *Edit: The GM of the Post informed me that they have 2-for-1 draught beer when it's snowing. The dining room is large and clean. It was a bit dark for my preference, but that's probably just me. No surprise here: the wait staff was very attentive since there weren't many customers. We stoped in for a quick lunch. They had a computer glitch and lunch became longer than we expected. Our server had no idea how to do her job and she was very forgetful made mistake after mistake in attending to her tables and was more concerned about petting dogs that came by then doing her job But then the managers STEVE showed up and made the experience a whole lot better. He explained the glitch in the computer system quickly ran out of appetizer and our food was up quickly.
