Altogether, we got Spicy Orange Chicken Bowl, a kids meal, a Buffalo Fried Chicken Sandwich, and a roasted half chicken. We were so surprised at how much food the kids meal came with! Probably the best hummus and roasted vegetable salad I've had in my whole life. Very farm to table tasting. The biscuits were a little on the dryer side but doable. We counted on the Post for so many meals during the pandemic and I have done delivery multiple times since when my husband was out of town and I am no longer driving, that we felt the need to go in person today. One of our favorite things during the pandemic when restaurants could reopen was picking up their in house chicken pot pie. It's my husband's absolute favorite chicken recipe which I used to make myself. Though I am unable to make it now that l have lost a lot of vision and not a single one we have bought elsewhere was sufficient until we ordered from The Post Boulder. After a short time it became too labor intensive for the Post to make in house back then with limited staff so they contracted with a pie facility in Denver. Compared to their own it was merely adequate so we moved on to there other in house specialties. As we were ordering gold specials for Sunday!s big game, I saw that the daily specials now include Chicken Pot Pies Thursday's so we went to try it. This ficus a personal size freshly made this morning it was nice to have for a meal with a side salad. But though good, it was not as hearty as the one we loved 5 years ago. Staff was friendly and attentive and my husbands favorite beer (El Korn) was on tap and my iced tea was customized perfectly . We even brought most of the salad home as it was a large serving for a lunch. We'll be back on Sunday for our wings and other treats that we need to pick up. And we can come back again for a lunch or dinner as the have more items for people like me who cannot eat fried chucked, with their grilled chicken or salmon. read more

I went in thinking I would be able to order off the lunch menu since it was 1:00pm but on weekends they only serve food off the brunch menu. Disappointed I couldn't try the cauliflower wings since that was my main reason for wanting to try. I ordered the lions mane mushroom burger and got the sweets & beets as my side. Our server didn't know what the side was made of when I asked, guessing pickled onions, but it was just roasted sweet potatoes and beets. I dream about The Post whenever we come to Boulder. Let's start with the cauliflower appetizer with hot honey sauce. Oh my goodness! It's almost illegal. And when my teens eat it up you know it's that good. Next the chicken. We always order extra chicken tenders to take home and eat cold out of the fridge the next day because it is just that good. Big, juicy and the perfect "breading" - because they're actually gluten free! Yes Celiacs, rejoice! A place that is 98% gluten free that you can safely eat at AND indulge. Came back again this year, because we loved this place so much the year before! We got the deviled eggs again and shared a 5 piece chicken tender meal. Both were as remembered - delicious! Great cheese burgers and fun atmosphere. The three stars is for making reservations in advance and hostess giving us a crappy table. We asked if any of the 4 empty booths were available and she said sorry they were reserved. Huh we made reservations though. She just said sorry again and left. I see a lot of great reviews for the Post and we had a really good experience. I feel like we didn't try some of the menu highlights that many people mention. Overall a positive dinner with kind considerate service. I enjoyed the night special Fish n chips (Cod) which was good and my wife really liked the salmon. I had to try it this place because I heard they are known for their fried chicken so I had to come and try it. I got the fried half chicken with a choice of one side (pueblo green mac and cheese) and it came with a cheddar biscuit. The fried chicken was gluten free and it tasted awesome! You know it's cooked right when the breast piece is tender and juicy and cooked perfectly! The pueblo green mac and cheese was good but it was just a smidge spicy. The tenders were decent but when dipped into ranch become out of this world delicious + add buffalo for a little kick. The chicken rice soup was delicious!!!! Loved the bowl! The happy hour drink specials were pretty typical, if I recall. Maybe something like $1 off draughts. *Edit: The GM of the Post informed me that they have 2-for-1 draught beer when it's snowing. The dining room is large and clean. It was a bit dark for my preference, but that's probably just me. No surprise here: the wait staff was very attentive since there weren't many customers. The price for fried chicken is a bit high until you realize that getting GF fried chicken is not as common. If you're GF, definitely consider stopping by The Post. read more

Pleasant warm ambience for what felt like an upscale dive/sports bar. Great for groups or dates. They looked like they had a huge drink selection, too. However, like I mentioned, I did takeout, and my order was never processed, so I showed up having to wait. There was another customer who was in the same situation as me, so I'm assuming they are just not focused on takeout. I was given free biscuits for my extra wait, so that was nice of them. If I come here again, I will only dine inside. My takeout order was not very good. I got their signature chicken sandwich. The chicken wasn't battered crispy enough for my taste. The seasoning and sauce wasn't flavorful. The french fries were soggy and over-seasoned, to the point where I just didn't want to finish them. We got brussels sprouts and deviled eggs as appetizers to share. Both were great! Side highlights include Fries (great seasoning), Collards, and Waffles. My husband and I went here after our first film from the Boulder International Film Festival and comfort food was in order. I ordered the Jazzy G and T and my husband got an El Corn amber lager. The drinks were fine. My drink tasted more honey than anything so I couldn't get the Jasmine in the gin flavor which is why I ordered it. It paired ok with the Nashville Hot chicken so that made it work. We shared the Nashville Hot Chicken tenders with fries and a half order of slaw. The chicken was hot and juicy and Spivey as it should be. The only reason for less than 5 stars on the food is that the breading was a bit thick. The slaw was delicious as you could actually taste the ingredients and it wasn't covered in a heavy dressing.
