Came here and thought it looked good. I ordered chicken fingers and my husband got the chicken sand. Chicken tenders were bland but chicken tasted fresh. Unfortunately they charge for ranch if the dish doesn't come with it on the menu. They don't tell you either just charge it. I needed another side but didn't want to get charged so I didn't ask. I'll begin by saying that since I'm from the South, meaning the Carolinas, Georgia, and the like, my expectations are pretty high when it comes to fried chicken. I like it done in a specific way. Post Brewing did that. Their fried chicken was a taste of home. Friendly service too. My coworker got a simple chicken BLT, but he made it "Nashville hot." I tried it, and it's not as hot as you might think. It definitely had a kick to it, but it's good in its own right. They had a new light beer when I went. The beer was very smooth. I'm happy with it. Our server was prompt, and always making sure we were doing well as we arrived after the lunch rush. I appreciate the prompt service, but I think a good gauge is a check-in every 5-10 minutes, or 15 if it's busy. Our server was on the head of that, checking in roughly every 5 minutes. I think those frequent check-ins might cause the customer to feel rushed. The idea is to check in frequently, but do so in a way that the customer doesn't feel rushed to order. This got rave reviews and maybe they just had a bad night but we're baffled that folks rate this like they have...???? There were 3 of us. We ordered two appetizers, two beers, and 3 entrees. Their "famous" biscuits seemed a knock-off of Red Lobster's only these were dry and lacked flavor...and they served two large biscuits with one teaspoon of butter. Seriously? Deviled eggs were quite good (not spectacular but good). Ordered the Lions Mane mushroom burger. Lacked flavor and just wasnt very good...and worse it gave the diner food poisoning! Ordered the meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Very large serving but again, just ok and it needed way more sauce. Ordered the special of the day: fish and chips (which I order anywhere I can). While the fish was "good" (meaning it tasted as fresh as it could be from being in Colorado), the coating on the fish was soggy. The server also raved about the french fries (which came with the fish) but they were "limp," flavorless and worse than some of the worst fries I've ever had. Coleslaw was "fine." Beer which they say they are famous for was again, "fine." They served both beers in wine glasses (so VERY small pours) and charged WAY too much for such small amounts. Service was the highlight if there was one because she was friendly and attentive. Best fried chicken I've ever had! The skin was super crispy and not too oily. It also comes off in distinct bites rather than everything just falling off after you take one bite. The dark meat was super tender, as was the white meat which I usually stay away from! Try it with the red hot sauce too. Ordered a couple beers to try and they were good; they're made by the restaurant so definitely worth a try We also tried the po boy, chicken and waffles, grits, Mac and cheese, beets and sweets, and cornbread. The beets and sweets were good enough to order again for sure. Everything else was solid besides the cornbread which was dry, but the chicken was good enough to warrant 5 stars overall.
