*Update* the manager reached out and was very helpful in addressing our complaints. The professionalism that he showed would have me give the restaurant another chance. The food was pretty good, we got chicken wings and two buffalo sandwiches but the sandwiches don't come with any sides and for $15 I think they should. The big problem was with the service. Our meals all came out at different times and there was only 4 of us. The server was very inattentive (he never asked how our food was, if we would like another beer) and slow. He forgot about the soda refill I asked for and the side salad I ordered came out after we all finished our meal. This was also after asking the server about the salad when we got the other items. We loved the Post when we first started going, but the last five or six times we've gone we have felt a bit queasy afterwards. I'm not sure if it's just that the food is rich or if the chicken wasn't cooked properly (I've wondered a couple of times if it was fully cooked). We've had some positive and very negative experiences service-wise, too. It's hit and miss, but we still go there occasionally. We tried out The Post for some "American" style food since mom was visiting and that's what she likes. We each started with a beer, and I really enjoyed the IPA! Based on the beer, definitely five stars! I was honestly a little disappointed with the food though! I love and admire fried chicken, and o usually try that when it's recommended. We had an excellent experience at The Post in Boulder! Food was great, and the service was absolutely top notch. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and patient when it took us awhile at the outset to decide what we wanted. Very odd experience. The food was spectacular - but it took a long, long time (more than 45 min) to get to us, and no one checked in with us or provided an update during that time. It felt at times like our waitress was actively avoiding our eye contact and our efforts to get more info, though when we did flag her down she was friendly. We thought our order of biscuits would come out first but they actually didn't arrive until we were all very nearly done eating. The lighting inside is so strange - the lights above the tables are barely bright enough to see the menu, but at the same time your eyes are accosted by the bright lights spilling out down the hallway from the kitchen. It makes for a very odd ambiance, at once very stark and intense but also quite dim and depressing. The food is the only reason I would consider returning, it was truly delicious. Out of state review here, we came on a Monday afternoon and this place was practically dead. Got sat right away. They were out of a couple of brew choices but my husband found something he liked and I got an amaretto sour. Both drink tasted amazing and our waitress was nice. Loved the setup of the restaurant, they even had a patio outside for nice weather dining. We stopped in Boulder on our way back to Silverthorne, and walked around Pearl Street. Found the Post Brewing Co. and decided to stop for a drink. It's great because they open up the front doors and it's like you're right outside, even while sitting inside at the bar. One thing I really appreciated was the bartender not only came right over, but immediately poured two glasses of water for us! Yes, I know, it's important to hydrate up here in the mountains, but this is the first place that did this (at a bar) and we didn't even have to ask. He even refilled our water bottles before we left. We hit happy hour so our tab was next to nothing. Full bar with liquor and beer. We didn't eat but the people all around us... we couldn't help noticing what they had. Everything looked and smelled delicious. Good afternoon everyone, me and my son had decided to try this establishment out after our brief time at the University of Colorado. We were both hungry and he was tired of walking . We had got seated pretty quickly and they had gave us water soon as we were seated. We have friends who live a few blocks away, and this is where they wanted to take us for dinner while we were visiting Boulder. This was such a fun stop, and having lived in California for the last ~5 years, this was a welcome taste of Sweet Home Alabama! We were eating for 4, with plans for some gooooood leftovers: There was a wait when we arrived, and they took our name and phone number, so we were good to wander around the block. The wait was estimated 30-40 minutes, so we stepped into a bar for 1 drink. They called to say our table was ready about 12 minutes later! We actually requested to be moved down the list because we weren't expecting them to be quicker than anticipated, and they accommodated. We were quickly seated when we arrived 20 minutes later. Our table service was quick and friendly, with knowledgeable recommendations of the craft beer menu. What food we ordered: Cheddar biscuits 2/5 :: definitely not perfect southern biscuits; they a little bland. I felt like they just needed more salt and a huge dollop of butter, but I also know that I'm both a cheese and biscuit snob 2 birds, 1 Hot Chicken and 1 Regular Chicken 5/5 :: from this southerner, this was some goooood fried chicken. Juicy and crunchy, and that hot chicken had some perfect kick. (And yes, this was a lot of chicken, which I reheated on the cheddar biscuit for breakfast the next morning!) The Post has entered my top three for BEST. BRUSSELS. SPOUTS. EVER. These crispy, dark, oily (in a good way), and perfect specimens made for an excellent quick dinner in Boulder, along with the masterful sweets and beets (sweet, fluffy goat cheese + pesto = YeS). The Post doesn't go crazy with sweet/sour or spicy tastes on their sprouts (as many of my favorites do), and they STILL take the cake. Would do again! Now, in some ways, this review is weak on my part, because I had neither a beer nor any chicken, both of which I quite like under normal circumstances. We also could not stay for dessert - a true regret I will carry with me for the rest of my days (or until the next time I'm in Boulder). That whoopie pie was calling my name, almost as loudly as the small kids behind us whose horrific squealing drove us out a bit early (you win some, you lose some, amirite?). We really enjoyed this southern style home cooking restaurant brewery! We had the family love meal with the beets and sweets, mashed potatoes, biscuits, BLT & a side of waffles! Everything was so delicious! The chicken was PERFECT, the beers were perfect! My toddler doesn't usually like mashed potatoes, but she Loved these! Service was great, our food came out fast, plenty of tvs around to watch, when you walk back towards the bathrooms you can see the brewery area. Bathrooms are clean and have a baby changing table. We went to the Fort Collins "location" not realizing it's not an actual restaurant. The host at Jax was very nice and accommodating helping us find the "location" and then explaining to us that it is a "ghost kitchen." We went out of our way to stop here and were disappointed to find out we'd have to order takeout. We figured we'd still give it a try and the host was kind enough to point us in the direction of a park two blocks away where we could go eat our takeout. We ordered the family meal with 8 pieces (we got half Nashville hot) with biscuits, Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes with gravy on the side. What we got was our 8 pieces, corn bread (no biscuits), Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes with gravy already mixed in. The chicken was great. The cornbread hard and lacking any corn flavor - would have rather had the biscuits that should have come with our meal. The mashed potatoes and gravy were red potatoes with brown gravy mixed in when we asked for it on the side - not what we were hoping for when we got mashed potatoes. The macaroni and cheese was spiral pasta with some sort of cream and black pepper. Most of the pasta on top had barely any cream and when we got to the bottom we found all the cream that should have been mixed onto the pasta. Again, not what we were expecting when we ordered Mac and cheese - was more like Mac and cream (more like Alfredo and not much of it till we got to the bottom). A buddy of mine recommended we go here for lunch due to a conversation involving how much I enjoy a good chicken sandwich. OH MAN the chicken here is DELICIOUS. Seriously one of if not the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. I ordered the post fried chicken sandwich, and got it Nashville hot style. It wasn't super hot, but spicy enough where you could still taste every scrumptious bite. My friend got the same thing, just regular style (which I'll have to try next time). The atmosphere was nice, and seemed like a good spot to go grab a drink any night of the week. The manager and the waitress we had were super nice and very attentive, and once we ordered our food it was out in literally 5-6 minutes. I highly recommend this place.
