It wasn't too sweet and pairs pretty well with everything. It's a bit pricey for college students ($50+) but would be a great treat for young professionals. First stop on my Colorado trip was lunch at Postino in Boulder. They are located in a cute part of the city surrounded by a mix of boutiques and brand businesses, which was nice to walk around after. I got the beer works pale ale pint which was delicious. However, their happy hour promo of $6 pitchers wasn't honored for the smaller pint size which was weird because there was no way I would have finished a whole pitcher by myself. I wish I could have just had the pint for $6 but was charged $8. We split the Prosciutto and Bri sandwich with side salad as well as their grilled cheese and tomato soup. The prosciutto sandwich was one of the best paninis I had and the ingredients went well with the fig jam. The grilled cheese was made well, but I wished the tomato soup was served hotter. Another note was their bathroom situation with the door handle locks needs to be fixed as I spent an awkward 10 minutes waiting for the restrooms which were locked from the inside. Stopped by needing some fuel after a long flight into town. It had a nice buzz to it. The boards were very popular but big so we didn't border it for the table. Instead I got the pick two with a half a French drip sandwich and potato soup. The soup was the clear winner. Chock full of potato and bacon, it was just perfect for a cool fall day. A nice location for meeting friends. I've been to a few Postinos and they are all fairly consistent. The happy hour specials are good, as are the bruschettas. I tried their gluten free for the first time as my friend was allergic to gluten. It was okay, I'd recommend sticking with the normal bruschetta. Otherwise all fine. Back to my home town on the way back from RMNP. Thanks to fellow Yelpies for doing a recent review for this location and wanted to try out for myself. I Still had fond memories of my visit to Postino on Colorado Blvd (Postino9CO) during Yelp event. Got the Bruschetta Board (choose 4). A smoked salmon and also two other options. $6 glass of wine till 5 pm everyday was a crowd pleaser. Loved the cab served cold. Didn't take much time to warm up either. $6 pitcher of beer till 5 pm was also an eye catcher. I think you can get two pints out of it. Overall, awesome ambiance, fast and friendly service. Drink and food served on timely basis. Definitely will be back and will even try going back to Postino9CO location. read more

We stopped by Postino in Boulder for brunch around 10:30 AM on a Sunday. When we arrived, the restaurant was pretty quiet, with only 1 or 2 other tables occupied. Despite that, we were told that they cannot seat parties of 5 or more on the patio, which struck us as a strange policy, especially given how empty it was. Something to keep in mind if you're hoping for a larger outdoor brunch gathering. Service: 2.5/5 Our experience started off promising while the restaurant was still quiet. But as it got busier, service noticeably dropped off. Our server disappeared for long stretches, and it became difficult to flag anyone down. On top of that, we received two incorrect orders, which is concerning given that the restaurant wasn't slammed at the time. I'm not sure if the errors were due to the server or the kitchen, but either way, mistakes like this during a relatively slow period are hard to excuse. The unwillingness to allow a basic substitution (more on that below) also added to the frustration. Drinks: Mimosa, 3/5 Classic and as expected. Refreshing but nothing standout. Espresso Martini, 2.5/5 A bit of an odd flavor I couldn't quite place. Not terrible, but not something I'd order again. Food: Bruschetta Board, 5/5 Shareable, fresh, and flavorful. Nothing memorable, and the side couldn't be subbed for tots (even with a surcharge), which felt unnecessarily rigid. PREAM bowl with steak, 5/5 (eventually) Delicious when it arrived, but we were first brought the chicken version, so we had to wait about 10 extra minutes for the correct order. The steak itself was tender and flavorful. Would absolutely order again (correctly the first time, hopefully!). Raspberry chicken salad, 3/5 Decent, fresh, and as advertised. Not much more to say, just not a standout. Meatball shakshouka, 5/5 A pleasant surprise from the brunch menu. Rich flavors, tender meatballs, and those house-made tots are so good. One of the best dishes we tried. Overall: 3/5 Postino has a solid brunch menu with some great dishes. I'd definitely consider coming back for the food alone. However, the overall experience was marred by inconsistent service, order errors, and some odd inflexibility with seating and substitutions. If they can smooth out those issues, it has the potential to be a go-to brunch spot in Boulder. But as it stands, it's a bit of a mixed bag. read more

Although it's a chain, the menu intrigued us and after looking into it and signing up for the email list, I received a coupon for a free Bruschetta Board, so it was a go! We made a reservation for noon and got there early, but didn't have any trouble finding seating in a cozy booth looking out over the bustling streets. They have a daily happy hour where you can get a glass of wine OR a pitcher of beer for only $6! I went for a cider instead while we perused the menu, but will be going back for that deal soon enough! We split the bruschetta board (it comes with four pieces, all sliced into four pieces) with Spinach Artichoke Dip topping, French Onion, Prosciutto de Parma with Fig and and Mascarpone, and Burrata, Bacon, Arugula and Tomato. The presentation was absolutely stunning and the flavors were on point! We all agreed the the French Onion was the one we'd be ordering on repeat. I went for the chicken and steak skewers since I was already pretty stuffed from the massive board. The meat was incredibly over-salted and the chicken was rubbery while the steak was tough. The yogurt sauce nestled underneath was tangy and provided a good balance, but I would definitely not get this again. Our server was great with checking in with us repeatedly and ensuring our water glasses never got too low. Our favorite wine was replaced but my husband likes the new one just as well but I always prefer French over Spanish in this category. But still very drinkable, just stronger flavor. We often come in warmer weather but on a cold wet day for May, I was looking for warmer food. We decided to try two of the warm skillet Snacky Things and it turned out to be a good choice. They do have paninis and soups but I've been here so often I wanted a new option. The mushroom fondue was a real change of pace and I really liked it. From the Postino menu picture, it appears to be a garnish of mushroom one a small iron pot of cheese fondue. But it's not. It may have some cheeses but it was more fluid and creamy and mushrooms galore throughout. A mellow taste and served with some slices of toasted focaccia. The shrimp scampi also came with some sliced toast, more of a French bread though. There were about 6 -7 shrimp in the mini skillet in a seasoned butter sauce with chopped veggies like red bell peppers, fennel and scallions. Also very tasty for a light meal with wine. As usual , great service and ambience. On a day like today not a soul was outside in the patio, not even the usual dogs as no "guardians" sitting out with them. read more

I love Postino. I think this might be the fourth location that I have enjoyed. The decor is always cool, I like the skates on the wall in the Boulder spot. The service is on-pointe. My daughter and I enjoyed a last minute lunch on Friday for CU Parent's weekend. We fortunately got a spot at the communal table. The meatball starter is amazing, the creamy tomato soup was excellent too. My daughter loved her prosciutto and Brie toasted panini and my shrimp were cooked perfectly. The food was good but that was truly the only positive part of the experience. We were a group of 9 for lunch and got there a little before noon, and they sat us immediately. We waited for about 10 minutes and luckily the host brought us over some water, but not one other person acknowledged us. After another 5-10 minutes I asked a host if we were supposed to order at the bar because no one has come over yet and he said he would get a server over. After another 5 minutes I went to the bartender to ask if we could order with her. At this point it had been 25, almost 30 minutes with no one coming up to us. The bartender said she would take our order if we wanted to stay so she starts our order and tells a server. At this point we're fine because the mistake was acknowledged. The executive chef came up to our table and said they would be giving us free dessert. They took our orders and the food came out eventually (one person had to remind them that she never got her food. She was waiting an extra 10 minutes after everyone else.) one person asked for chips and never got her chips. They poured one person the wrong wine. Then we waited another 25 minutes for our check and we had to flag someone down to pay the bill. They didn't comp one single item and never gave us the dessert they promised. Part of our party had been to this restaurant in a different city and only had good things to say, but the service at this location was the most disappointing restaurant experience I'd been to. As someone who has worked in restaurants for over 10 years I try to give the benefit of the doubt, but the constant mistakes and neglect was just awful. We are from out of town so maybe the expectations are different, but there seem to be so many other restaurant options in the area, so I would highly suggest exploring other options if they are available. read more

I went for a lunch date here and took the girlfriend for her first time, even at an off hour on a Monday the service was super attentive and friendly, with everything very clean and the decor very well put together. It has a nice modern feel with a fun light menu, they had French onion soup as a soup of the day, it paired wonderfully with my panini main but the real standout dish was the salmon platter we got as an appetizer. It was super delicious and will be a huge reason to come back her with friends for drinks and shareables. Small detail, but speaks volumes of how much they care here, my girlfriend accidentally ordered something with tree nuts on it even though she was allergic and they made it right immediately, no questions asked, no extra charge, thanks for a great meal. This is the place to come for bruschetta, little toasts with toppings for those who don't know. They have a huge variety of bruschetta, but they have other food as well. We got the bruschetta sampler and the mushroom fondue to share. I got the Blackberry Smash - blackberry with green tea and my friend got the Apricot something with black tea. Both drinks were refreshing and tasty! I would say I like the apricot one a bit more based off of personal preference. For the sampler, you're able to choose four different ones. We got the Brie, Apple & Fig Spread, Warm Artichoke Spread, Burrata Bacon Arugula & Tomato, and the Smoked Salmon & Pesto. They were all really good! They also have this fun thing where they call "Battle of the Bruschetta" where they have two different ones for the month and whichever one has the most orders wins! The mushroom fondue was really good too! So perfectly cheesy with big pieces of mushrooms in there. It comes with four pieces of focaccia which is not enough for the amount of fondue you get. I ordered wine and it was delivered quickly. However, the waitress did not seem very informed about the differences in options. The toast on the Table Cheese was pretty hard, and I do like a nice artisan crostini. This was just premade toast.
