    Hazy IPA
    Matt C.

Sanitas is a phenomenal brewery in Boulder boasting one of the most impressive outdoor spaces in the area. They're doing so many things right here. It's become one of my favorite breweries to visit! It's one of the places that has such a large outdoor beer garden that it really doesn't matter if the beer is good or not. Turns out they make very good beer! I actually appreciate that they don't go overboard naming their beers. Most of them are named after their style/flavor i.e. Saison, IPA, Passion Fruit Sour. On my last visit the Hazy IPA was calling my name with 70 degree afternoon temps, and it was a patio pounder. Think the usual suspects when it comes to hops, fruity aromatics and flavor profile. With a lower IBU and sitting at 5.8%, it was the ideal beer on a sunny day. So much so that I had a few! Two fantastic bonuses here are the coffee and food programs. As soon as you walk in they have Bona Coffee Roasters, a fully functional coffee bar serving excellent coffee until 3pm most days. Outside you'll find McDevitt Taco Supply that has a great reputation in Boulder and Denver. And the long lines are a testament to their tasty tacos. One of the best places in Boulder to grab a beer. Bring a big group with you because they have the space to accommodate just about everyone. Sanitas, don't change a thing!

    Great black IPA!

Sanitas Brewing is a super fun, local, and enjoyable place with a nice outdoor area to boot. I've been there several times and it's nice living down the road. Access is easy right off Foothills. Location is industrial but with a nice backyard. Many people love this brewery and it's the place to hang on a sunny weekend. Expect crowds and families but everyone is very nice! Service is great too and they have a McDevitt taco truck. Try one! I've always got great beer, current good ones are the Almond Stout, Prickly Pear Sour, and Lime Lager! They have the Pint Day special which is always fun. Overall a great asset for East Boulder!

Awesome atmosphere! Mountains in the backdrop. Cool outdoor area. Staff was very helpful. Beer flight was good!

Went to Sanitas after visiting the Portal Therma Culture sauna. It'd been a few years since we visited and it's still a solid brewery, but not a place I'd want to continuously go back to for the beer alone. The ambiance is nice - cool vaulted ceilings, outdoor seating, free games, open space inside. My husband and I split a flight today (there was leftover chocolate flight option from Valentine's Day which was a nice touch for $16) - we got a passionfruit sour, imperial brown, stout and Irish Red. The red was toasty, light bodied but there was an aftertaste that didn't quite sit with me. I think the one I enjoyed the most was the passionfruit sour. None of the beers blew me away that I'd want to try any again but it's a solid brewery that I would go back to if someone wanted to check it out.

Continuing the beer adventuring through the Front Range in Colorado. My old home state. The nostalgia returns! For Sanitas Brewing I had three beers of theirs, all sours. Perhaps not the best sours I have had ever but one that I felt to be fairly unique which was the Prickly Pear Sour. That one I enjoyed the most of all out of the three sours. A very good pear flavor was easily grasped with that one! The other two sours weren't bad. Fairly enjoyable but nothing that I thought that was too groundbreaking. One was a Raspberry Sour and the other was a Passion Fruit Sour. Again, decent but nothing new that I've come across before. Sanitas makes plenty of other beers aside from sours like IPA'S and lagers for example and exploring those beer styles with this brewery I would like to do some time.

My motto: no hike is complete without a visit to the local brewery. So naturally, after a mid morning hike at Forsythe Canyon in Nederland, Kristin M and I made our way to Boulder to check out Sanitas Brewing Company, soak up some patio vibes, nosh on some tacos, and sip on some fantastic brews - and we did just that. SPACE: Under normal circumstances their patio would be full of tables and yard games, but under COVID restrictions it provides the perfect space to allow patrons space to spread out and enjoy their brews. It's also friendly dog friendly. Which my pup greatly enjoyed being able to partake in the post hike brewventure. There's ample shade provided by the shades hung across the patio, a fire pit on the lawn below surrounded by picnic style tables provides tons of seating and all the ambiance. SIPS: Sanitas Brewing Company def boasts one heck of a tap list! While Kristin M wanted to try a couple samples before selecting her brew, I knew I was craving a refreshing lager - so I opted for a full pour of the lime lager. Yum! It was perfectly light and refreshing with a hint of lime. Def just what I was craving after our morning adventure. I also sipped on the tangerine sour and the passionfruit sour. All the brews were wonderfully flavorful, fruity, and def hit the post hike brew spot! SUSTENANCE: They feature McDevitt Taco Supply on-site to satisfy all your hungry belly needs. All orders are placed online and they will text you when they are ready. Just make sure to order from the location at the brewery versus at their brick and mortar (whoops). Lucky for us they were able to correct our error and get our order resolved promptly. Everything was beyond delicious! We both ordered three tacos and a quesadilla to split and I'm still drooling. Their menu also pairs perfectly with the brewery's menu! SERVICE: Our server was amazing. Not only did he bring us a couple tasters to check out, but he brought my pup a bowl of water, checked back frequently to ensure we were well taken care of, and gave my girl all the lovies. Def knocked it out of the park! He was easily one of the most friendly and welcoming servers I've had to date! SWAG: We were there during the transition between seasons so the merch sizes were limited. I got lucky and scored the cutest shirt featuring their logo screen printed in the Colorado flag. I love it! It's def one of my favorite shirts and I have gotten many compliments on it. Sanitas Brewing Company was easily the best way we could wrap up our girls-venture in the area. I can't wait to make my way back! **COVID Note: They had socially distanced all the tables and both staff and patrons were required to wear masks.

A place away from your kids. I don't have kids but that is all I felt while I was here. Industrial interior and they have a taco truck here. Come and talk with your friends or have a business meeting here. They have coffee in the morning and comfortable seating. Hipsters delight. It doesn't deserve 5 stars because of their limited choices for beer.

    Great spot w/ great beer!

This is a chill spot with a huuuge patio. Unfortunately, the patio was packed (as packed as it could be with COVID) on the Saturday we were there, so we weren't able to sit outside. But thankfully, the interior is really nice, hip, and had a laid-back vibe as well. Sanitas doesn't seem to have a huge menu of beers, but the beers I did try were very good! I'm a sucker for sours, and they definitely had some good sour beers, so I was not disappointed. I'm excited to come back here in the summer time and on a less busy day so I can sit out on the patio!

I joined a friend here after work on a Tuesday. Before we get to Sanitas itself, there is a permanent pseudo food truck thing outside in their large patio area. They do have tacos, but we committed treason against Taco Tuesday and instead opted for the quesadillas. They were magnificent. I got the BBQ Chicken, which is not a typical move for me, but I IMPLORE you to try it. They make the BBQ sauce in-house, and it's very latinized, which paired perfectly with the well-seasoned, not to mention well-portioned, chicken. I could barely finish it, and I was starving. Now, for the beer, also excellent. They have offerings for just about anyone, and as an IPA enthusiast, I tasted them all. The black IPA was quite strange, too stout-like, but the hazy and peppercorn IPA were quite good, and I opted for the latter. The ambience is great. It was a snowy evening, so not as packed and loud as it could have been. But on a less-busy evening, we found it perfect to have a good conversation and enjoy our bites and brews. The staff is all extremely nice and enjoyable to interact with. There's also a coffee shop counter to note (Bona, I believe it was called), and I haven't yet tried it as they close earlier. But for Sanitas itself, I thoroughly enjoyed it through and through. It's not technically my favorite Boulder brewery, but it's pretty far up there. I'll see them again soon

Sanitas is the best there is nothing better than a fall hike followed by a sour beer here. Try the new spur finished in a Chardonnay barrel and don't forget an order of loaded nachos from mcdevitt! This brewery is also the perfect scene, great for a party or event. Never crowded and kept up with cute twinkle lights, shade, and picnic tables. Boulder perfection!

We loved nearly everything we tried, and what an amazing view of the Sanitas mountains! We liked the Saison and the Earl's Out (lemon sour with Earl gray tea) so much, we went home with a six pack of each. Only downer was the Cherry Saison- I wanted to love it (Cherry is my favorite), but it wasn't very cherry-y, and had an unpleasant bitter taste to it. I didn't finish that one. But overall great beers and the food truck looked interesting, if we hadn't just eaten, we would have tried that out too.

From game days (televised or board/card) to happy hour catch ups I love coming here for the laid back and family friendly vibes. I've enjoyed having my birthday party here for the last handful of years (they have amazing event space). As it's family friendly my crew always feels happy to bring their well behaved little one along. While my friends are sure to bring activities for their kiddos (books, toys, educational iPad devices) some folks aren't as considerate. I've definitely had the unfortunate experience of kids running amuck while their parents are fully attentive only to their brewskis. This was particularly disturbing as I've been recovering from a knee injury for several months and my partner has often been with me and on crutches. Would love to see people take more responsibility for their children's behavior when taking them out in public for everyone's safety. While it's Boulder afterall I hold hope that parents will look after their kids if they decide to bring them in or drop them to the nearby kiddos climbing facility if they wanna play. Looking forward to many more good times with friends at this awesome locally owned gem.

For food, we each got a side Caesar salad. Large and with lots of flavor, they were very good. We each then got the Mediterranean pizza. I added chicken to mine. My wife liked hers, while I was disappointed in mine. I didn't find the flavor to be great, and the crust was rather flimsy and disappointing. Pizza here on our first visit had been great, so again, this was disappointing. Service was friendly enough. I'm sure we'll be back again.

Nothing has changed whatsoever. From the funky mural on the garage door to the sticker-lined walls of the cooler to the remote location on the less popular side of Boulder, Vision Quest is proof that us beer lovers still long for breweries of this nature. See Andrew H's recent review for his spot-on analysis! The beer selection rocks. Pales, porters, IPA's, lagers, sours, stouts, and ambers. Quality over quantity, while still maintaining a variety of flavors. I was in a pale/IPA mood last Friday, and the Hoosier Head and Boombox were quite tasty. Only a few seats at the bar, but plenty of seating indoors. If the weather is nice, you'll find everyone sitting outside staring at the mountains. They host community events, vinyl nights, have a bunch of board games, etc. These are the breweries of yesteryear. The one that skyrocketed the craft beer movement. They are a dime a dozen these days. Vision Quest is one of them, and you can still find that magic here.

Though I am unable to make it now that l have lost a lot of vision and not a single one we have bought elsewhere was sufficient until we ordered from The Post Boulder.
