My hamburger and blackberry ale hit the spot! Fast friendly service, casual bar like ambiance. Appropriate to bring family , not too raucous.my 4 other dining partners were also pleased with their burgers, salad and chicken wings.

Raspberry wheat ale

Cool brewery with great Mountain View's. We came in for a cold one. I tried the raspberry wheat ale which I liked. Only prices for pints are listed on the menu, I was able to order a small. Came in on a Saturday. Unfortunately there were no TVs. Also of note, credit cards not accepted - only cash or check.

Some interior vibe options.

This is a cash only place. Bar food. Pretty decent bar food and friendly service. My sandwich seemed different than advertised. Had pickled jalapeño in it. I like spice but did not seem to go with this sandwich. Home made chips were beautiful and the fries good. It was nice. Will not be a place I will probably go back to.

Nachos- we had to ask for extra guacamole, too many chips and not enough of the good stuff.

The decorations here are really Colorado friendly and fun to look at while you eat! Our servers were nice and attentive, but we didn't really love the food . The nachos were so-so, not enough sour cream/cheese or guacamole so you have to ask for extra, and the roasted beet salad on spinach was just not that inspired.

Came here with my best friend. This is such a cute place in boulder. They have great food the vibes are great and the service is amazing. One important thing to know they are a cash and check only establishment so be prepared for that. They have great food and awesome specials. We had the Barria tacos that were on the specials menu and they were delicious. You can go wrong coming here. The beers they had were also delicious. They allow you try a small sample of 2 of them if you can decide which was nice. Definitely will be back!

Some things are guaranteed in life..... Death, taxes and that Mountain Sun and the family of restaurants will be cash only. No qualms about it, just be prepared. Luckily there is a Chase Bank behind this location for your cash needs. I recently have come to this location after some hikes and it's the perfect place to get your post workout grub and drink on! This past time we went I was stoked to see that it was Stout Month and their menu lives up to the name. Just enough beers to make it interesting without being overwhelming. They even had a few meals with stout in it as well. I got the Girl Scout Cookie Stout and it was thin mint perfection! The food is awesome here however my only gripe is when it comes to the spuds. Their default side is potato chips...meh....you can pay extra for fries but they aren't anything award winning but they do the trick. Their burgers are one of my go to meals and I recently tried their cauliflower wings and that may be my new favorite there. Only complaint there is they put the sauce on the side vs tossed. Little knits I realize but with a few minor tweaks this could be one of my fave establishments in Boulder!

Tim 's Blackened Chicken Quesadilla

Positives: -I really liked my quesadilla. -I shared a salad with my husband, it was good. The ingredients were fresh and there were lots of toppings that added flavor. -Best thing about this restaurant was the ambience. It was decorated very cute inside with lots of colors and paints on the walls. They have plants hanging throughout the inside. Negatives: -We had a group of four people and they could not split a check for us. I feel like this should not be hard to just write them down two pieces of paper. The employee said that the only way we could is if we got a manager involved and that it would take a while. No thanks, we will just figure it out ourselves. -Service in general was slow. -No consistency of who our server was throughout the meal. -To pay you only could do cash or check. They did not accept cards of any form. I have never seen that before at a sit down restaurant. -The other couple that we went with were not particularly fond of their food. -My margarita was okay. -Also the AC was not working well. I thought I was having heat flashes. Definitely a one and done place.

The inside is a little bit divey in feel but more upscale than your typical dive bar. They had tons of seating, and I saw next to a fireplace because it looked cozy (it was). The server was quick to take my order even though it was pretty busy in there (was rush weekend I think for the university?). I had the tin man HH cocktail because my server said it would be the most floral (has elderflower in it) and I quite liked it! Was very refreshing, not too strong. Aside notes: the bathrooms were quite clean. Parking was a little chaotic, some is paid parking and some is free 2 hour. There are only a couple spots right in front, I had to park a few blocks down but it was in 2hr free park by another small business that was closed for the day. I didn't have any issues there. Overall thought this was a fun little bar in Boulder with good happy hour drinks, I would def come back :)

From game days (televised or board/card) to happy hour catch ups I love coming here for the laid back and family friendly vibes. I've enjoyed having my birthday party here for the last handful of years (they have amazing event space). As it's family friendly my crew always feels happy to bring their well behaved little one along. While my friends are sure to bring activities for their kiddos (books, toys, educational iPad devices) some folks aren't as considerate. I've definitely had the unfortunate experience of kids running amuck while their parents are fully attentive only to their brewskis. This was particularly disturbing as I've been recovering from a knee injury for several months and my partner has often been with me and on crutches. Would love to see people take more responsibility for their children's behavior when taking them out in public for everyone's safety. While it's Boulder afterall I hold hope that parents will look after their kids if they decide to bring them in or drop them to the nearby kiddos climbing facility if they wanna play. Looking forward to many more good times with friends at this awesome locally owned gem.

For food, we each got a side Caesar salad. Large and with lots of flavor, they were very good. We each then got the Mediterranean pizza. I added chicken to mine. My wife liked hers, while I was disappointed in mine. I didn't find the flavor to be great, and the crust was rather flimsy and disappointing. Pizza here on our first visit had been great, so again, this was disappointing. Service was friendly enough. I'm sure we'll be back again.

One of our favorite things during the pandemic when restaurants could reopen was picking up their in house chicken pot pie. It's my husband's absolute favorite chicken recipe which I used to make myself. Though I am unable to make it now that l have lost a lot of vision and not a single one we have bought elsewhere was sufficient until we ordered from The Post Boulder. After a short time it became too labor intensive for the Post to make in house back then with limited staff so they contracted with a pie facility in Denver. Compared to their own it was merely adequate so we moved on to there other in house specialties. As we were ordering gold specials for Sunday!s big game, I saw that the daily specials now include Chicken Pot Pies Thursday's so we went to try it. This ficus a personal size freshly made this morning it was nice to have for a meal with a side salad. But though good, it was not as hearty as the one we loved 5 years ago. Staff was friendly and attentive and my husbands favorite beer (El Korn) was on tap and my iced tea was customized perfectly . We even brought most of the salad home as it was a large serving for a lunch. We'll be back on Sunday for our wings and other treats that we need to pick up. And we can come back again for a lunch or dinner as the have more items for people like me who cannot eat fried chucked, with their grilled chicken or salmon.

Started with the cauliflower bites in sweet chili sauce -- and let's be clear -- these were not polite, side-salad energy cauliflower. These were "touch one and we're no longer friends" cauliflower. Sweet, crispy, addictive. I fell in love against my will. Then the fried half chicken arrived. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside -- like someone's Southern aunt spent years perfecting it. And yes -- there's a gluten-free fried chicken option that somehow tastes just as good. A plot twist I didn't see coming. The collard greens had that smoky-sweet-Sunday vibe, and once the house hot sauce entered the chat? Full gospel choir moment. And William at the bar? Welcoming, honest, and actually tells you what's good -- not "everything is amazing" menu-script energy. The man can be trusted.
