Always a welcoming place, we enjoy a quick and casual meal at a very reasonable price. The sign at the door says it all. And bribe me it's not just word, it' practice both on the customer side of the counter as well as the staff side too. As for freshness and quality of the food on the top sign, that's true too. I think the last item to be true but no way to check.locally founded and still locally owned. Locations are convenient and clean though sometimes in summer on the crowds on the patio, often with high school and college students packed, it can be tough for them to maintain perfection. I'll always give them a chance when we need a quick, inexpensive and nearby meal. read more

Some days the employees are great, other days they seem like they want to die. Asking for cheese and getting a pinch is pathetic. The whole schtick of mixing the burrito works great when the employees actually care, otherwise it's 5 bites of lettuce and sour cream and then the next 5 are meat. read more

Very affordable with great bartenders. Relaxed atmosphere and fun for families. Was a blast for the World Cup.

I went here because I had a coupon for a free entree and the employees were very rushed, despite how I was the only person in line, and made each question I asked seem like the biggest inconvenience. all I wanted was sour cream, queso, and guac with my quesadilla and for some reason the guy making it made it seem like there was absolutely no way I could get all three even though I was fine with paying. I don't really know what was up with everyone when I came in maybe it's not always like that but it was just a bad day I guess-- I don't really care that much but sometimes I think about my experience. the place was clean, music on speakers was god awful, and food was deeply delicious I will say read more

Really great addition to south boulder. Really want to love this place but candidly food is average. I think that's a general comment for all illegal Pete's versus any problems with this one. The ambience and space is great. I ordered the fish tacos and they were just ok and took a long time to make. The fish wasn't super flavorful more was the coating crispy. Kind of a bummer as I had to wait about ten minutes to order due to three line and then probably 12 minutes of wait time after my order (they do indicate that fish tacos take longer than other Items. I will return because it's close to me but not going to be my favorite. read more

Pete's always seems to be the right vibe. The staff are always really cool and friendly. They must hear the same questions a thousand times a night but always helpful and fun. They have plenty of great beers on tap, good music playing and the food is about the best value anywhere in town. I'm a big fan as you can see! read more

John? The manager of this location? Amazing. What a great crew and friendly service. We held our staff holiday party at this Illegal Pete's location and their team did an awesome job making sure our spread looked beautiful. They were flexible with me, and allowed me to setup some flowers and signage ahead of the event. Now, I know what you might be thinking. You had a party? At Illegal Pete's? Yes. It's true. We locked down a section of the restaurant and bar (there's a bar! tell your friends!) by reserving a select number of tables and we did a buffet line. It went so smoothly. Can't thank this team enough (LOOKING AT YOU JOHN) for accommodating our group and making it a memorable evening. Food was delicious, too. read more

Get the party started with 10 screens full Of sports and a couple of Margs. Tanner and Marquis start you off with a libation of your choosing and then you can move on down to pick up some bomber green chile. Super friendly and so loud you can lose yourself in it. If you're lucky you can meet Pete as well. Have fun! read more

We just arrived from Boston to visit family and stopped in for a quick lunch. I ordered a chicken quesadilla , my husband got the batter fried fish. His fish was hot and delicious. My quesadilla was full of cheese and very little chicken. The tortilla was absolutely soggy in parts. So disappointed read more

Service on Fri afternoon of Labor Day weekend, TERRIBLE! Understaffed, inflexible, and the kitchen manager was simply rude stating no exceptions with the order. Had to wait for 15 minutes for food ingredients to be made after waiting in a line of 6 for 15 minutes. Unfortunately the young man at the cash register was training and getting really flustered struggling with receiving the long line, but he tried at least. read more

Outstanding employees who are very welcoming and patient in explaining the different choices of add-ons. I visited from Texas and I am amazed at just how welcoming/friendly and wonderful my overall experience was! The place is very hip, down to earth, and lovely! Food was excellent! As someone who has several food allergies, the Carnitas and Chicken was a 10/10!!! Super juicy and delicious! read more

Love the bar vibes. Awesome burritos. Service is fast and the people who work there are so friendly! Love how spicy the bloodys are!

Maybe the cleanest restaurant I've EVER been in. However, burrito was quite a bit smaller than competition, and the carnitas was maybe the DRIEST meat I've ever had served to me. I've left carnitas out for a day and it had more moisture. Used to love this place, maybe growing pains with new location, really hope food quality issues are a one off. read more

After a really bad food poisoning incident from the Pearl location, I'd not eaten at Pete's for years. Wanted to try it again, as I have fond memories from college. It's okay, it's not what it once was. Not a lot of flavor. Pretty on par with the competition. Wanted to like it more. I guess once you scale up and grow, quality suffers. Staff is fine. Atmosphere is the best thing about this location. And if you like alcohol you're in luck; full bar! Average and expensive. read more

Great location with a good use of the space. Have always loved the food and now it is in the neighborhood. Good prices on food and drinks.

Visited the new location in SoBo. Food was super tasty as usual BUT the music was bad and super loud. My companion and I were unable to have a conversation and it was super hot (and crowded, probably w folks trying to escape the music) on the patio. Please consider the ambiance for your guests. Thank You! read more

What did I just eat. Spent 9 dollars on a thing of queso that was 1/4 filled. This place used to be my go to, now there is no way to defend it. If you want a burrito that is actually wrapped with fair portions, do not come here. Chipotle is looking like my new spot. I found a booger in my food as well, not good looks. What has this establishment become. read more
