Overall: Food is excellent in terms of quality and flavors. I keep coming back for brunch. Food: Rich and all dishes I've tried so far are solid whether it's the Buddha bowl, avo toast, burrito, burger, shakshuka, jam sandwich, pancakes, French toast, chai doughnut holes or huevos. I mean, seriously, how do they make the food so good across the board?! Drinks: It is a cafe and good cafe drinks they have whether it's a matcha, chai latte, mocha, latte, or orange juice. Service: Excellent. They check in without being annoying even when it's super busy. The staff I've encountered notice nonverbal details when you need something. Space: Limited seats, so it can get packed with a wait. Indoor and outdoor options. Outdoors can be nice in the morning during summers under the umbrella - otherwise, can get really hot in sunny spots by afternoon. Cost: $$. Not cheap but not expensive. Super cute little cafe with delicious breakfast! Definitely a smaller place but I enjoy intimate breakfast spots. They had amazing drinks and the server had great recommendations on their menu for what we were feeling. Was more food than I could handle in one go but there's nothing better than a filling breakfast before a long morning walk. We drove to Boulder for the day from Denver. Looking for a brunch place, Lucy's Bakehouse Cafe looked like the place we wanted. It sure was exactly. I ordered the breakfast burrito which was really large, delicious with several scrambled eggs, veges and a delicious wrap. Put a little hot sauce on top, great. It filled me up until dinner at 6. My wife ordered the build Your Own Omelet with spinach and onion. She loved it. It's served with ten grain bread which is absolutely delicious. Our drinks included a bottled kombucha and a latte which wasn't too sweet. Kelsey was our server, she was great. So helpful and guided us to the choices we made. Driving from Erie, to Denver, we decided to stop in Boulder for brunch. Thuy made the choice and it was a good one. It's a cute, cozy, place, surrounded by other Lucky options, i.e. a market and an ice creamery. I had the stuffed French toast. Thuy had the avocado toast. Both very enjoyable. Also one of the best cups of coffee I've had in a restaurant. Thank you Maribel for keeping my cup warm! After brunch we checked out the market (and bought some warm socks). We stopped at the bake house & creamery first and got a couple to-go pastries - I got a coffee cake one!! Then we walked past the supermarket and out onto the patio area where the cafe is tucked behind. We were able to get seated within 15 minutes on a Sunday around noon. I ordered the natural cola and the avo toast. It's a cute little place! Everyone working is friendly and they are urgent which I liked. Our food did not take long at all. My fiancé got the fish & chips. The batter was crispy but not greasy and the fish was cooked well inside. The fries it came with were good too. My avo toast was delicious. The serving size is large enough that you probably ask for take home boxes like I did. I had the fish and chips and it was sooooo fresh it was outta this world. Fish and Chips// new belgium voodoo ranger-battered fresh alaskan cod, kale and cabbage salad, green goddess dipping sauce and house-made fries. The Green Goddess dipping sauce was a one of a kind concept. Their House Made Ketchup was a taste treat all to its own. The deep fried Cod was so tender it fell apart. I sat at the bar, which likely makes a difference in the experience. No one really seemed to be responsible for people at the bar and it took a long time to be acknowledged. They messed up my order and I had to make grander gestures to get attention. It was fixed, but just by adding what they forgot and reheating, which destroyed the fresh things on the plate. The food is presented well and seems high quality. I got hash browns and they were really bland, so I'd try something else next time. Absolutely loved Lucky's Bakehouse Cafe, not to be confused with Lucky's Bakehouse. Was a touch hard to find in the complex because is tucked behind another cafe. But you know you're in the right area because Lucky's Market and Lucky's Bakehouse are prominent. We started with the Lemon Ricotta Doughnut Holes (2) served with a raspberry sugar (fun dip) to dip the powder covered donuts in. 2 donut holes is just right, even when shared, but you'll want more! We also shared the Hummingbird Bread, an absolutely wonderfully moist loaf made with coconut, pineapple, & pecan and served with prickly pear honey butter! My son went with the Stuffed French Toast which included ricotta and dukkah with the mixed berry jam and ricotta is not something he typically eats and he didn't know what dukkah was (herbs, nuts, and spices). He loved every bite and I loved what he let me try. ;) I went with the Avo Toast. I enjoyed it, but I'll make some observations based on my preferences. I prefer freshly sliced avocado over an avocado spread, as a result I found that the greens were very forward. I also prefer a sunny side egg over 1/2 of a medium boiled egg. You're tastes may vary. I did enjoy it, though. I should add that the coffee was excellent. I don't always drink it black, but did here because it was so good. I would come back just for the coffee, but there's no way that that's all I would have. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive. read more

This is a very popular place! It doesn't seem that they take reservations. We passed by Boulder on the way to the Denver airport from RMNP and decided to stop here for brunch. There were a few parties waiting to be seated when we arrived; we put our names with the hostess and was pleasantly surprised that we got seated within 20 minutes given the popularity! The inside of the restaurant was cute and they had Halloween decor up. Food was DELICIOUS... especially the avocado toast. I also enjoyed the salmon eggs benedict. I joined a colleague here for brunch and had a great meal. I had a hamburger and my friend had the avo toast. Both were great and my fries were amazing! The service was also super friendly and just the right amount of attention. I know that several Yelpers have commented on a wait for 20 minutes but we went around 11 AM and were immediately seated. my dad gave me a Gift card and i decided to come by and grab lunch before work, and it was a really disappointing. i decided to get the BLT and after a quick 7-10 min wait on a to go order i saw that the BLT only 3 prices of bacon that were over cooked, the toast was mildly burnt and it had way too much lettuce. the staff was nice but the food was lacking. im not really sure what to say i wish i could have been better for a 16 buck BLT, just do better man. read more

Couldn't tell you what the food was like because I was mostly unacknowledged at the bar for over 20 minutes. Someone dropped off a water about 10 min into my wait & stated they'd be right back. Meanwhile at least 6 staff members, including the owner, watched me sit & wait with a menu in front of me. They had no problem tending to their friends next to me who sat down long after I did. They also kept putting dish racks (one after another) on top of the bar to unload clean dishes, but it left a puddle of dish water on the bar, where people eat, and they never cleaned it up. Gross. Poor management & staff. It's a cute place & the menu looked great but the lack of attentiveness of the staff ruined it for me. Won't be back to try. read more

I go to this restaurant quite often bc the food is consistently excellent and the service too. The only problem w this place is they consistently serve me tepid coffee. I'm not a complainer but 3 out of 3 visits this happened to me. They use carafe's to hold their coffee so maybe that is what is not working to keep their Java hot. I'm hesitant to tell my friends to eat there bc of the coffee issue. It's a delightful vibe this place and I will return but hoping the hot coffee flows one day. read more
