Iced Strawberry Matcha - A plastic cup filled with iced strawberry matcha, featuring a layered appearance with green tea leaves on top and a mixture of pink and green colors inside, is placed on a wooden table. The background shows a modern cafe interior with blurred figures of people and large windows, indicating a casual dining or coffee shop setting.

Alpine Modern - Boulder, CO Alpine Modern is the perfect blend of aesthetic minimalism and bold flavor. I stopped in for breakfast and was genuinely impressed--not just by the chic, Scandinavian-inspired atmosphere, but by how well-executed each dish was. I had the bacon breakfast croissant, and it was a standout. Buttery, flaky layers wrapped around perfectly cooked bacon and eggs--it was indulgent without being too heavy. The classic avocado toast was fresh and balanced, served on thick, crusty bread with just the right touch of citrus and seasoning. Simple, but done really well. To drink, I went with the strawberry matcha, which was smooth and slightly sweet--an unexpected but refreshing combo that didn't overpower the matcha. Great vibes, great food, and a place I'd definitely revisit whether for a relaxed morning or a quick bite between exploring Boulder.

Latte and the ham and gruyere sandwich. - A sandwich with leafy greens and a bun is served on a white plate, accompanied by a large cup of latte with foam art. The items are on a wooden table near a window, with a black plastic lid and a brown napkin also visible. The background shows greenery outside the window.

My second attempt here was perfect. I was greeted, offered help with my order, all three people behind the counter interacted with me and I felt welcome! My coffee and sandwich hit the spot! I enjoyed hanging out for a bit and was able to leave the outside world outside.

Pumpkin spice latte - A hand is holding a disposable coffee cup with the words 'ALPINE MODERN CAFE' printed on it in bold black letters. The background shows a parking lot with several cars, a building with a rounded corner, and a partly cloudy sky with blue and white clouds. The setting appears to be outdoors near the cafe, with some outdoor seating visible.

'Tis the season... of pumpkin spice latte! We are traveling in Colorado this weekend and I was curious to see what sort of PSL yummies were in store. We stopped at alpine modern cafe, a cute little shop in what seemed to be an outdoor shopping center. I ordered the pumpkin spice latte which came with honey and cinnamon for a special twists. I require a dairy free milk and they had macadamia nut milk! It was so creamy and sweet. A lovely flavor addition to my latte. customer service was great and I saw many patrons with their lap tops working.

Alpine Modern is my go-to for good coffee in Boulder, CO. In my personal experience, the food has been hit-or-miss. Some dishes leave me wanting more (food, seasoning, warmth, moisture, etc) while others hit the spot with no room for improvement (looking at you, Blueberry Ricotta Tartine). My favorite location is the one near the Hill, but the one in the 28th street mall is the Corporate Older Sister which is nice for meeting larger groups.

Salmon & Avocado Sandwich - A toasted sandwich featuring smoked salmon, sliced avocado, and fresh greens between two slices of toasted white bread, cut into halves and stacked on a white plate. The sandwich displays layers of ingredients, with the greens and avocado visible. In the background, two cups of a light-colored beverage are visible, suggesting a cafe setting. The image emphasizes the sandwich's ingredients and presentation.

Cute little breakfast place in Boulder, nice light atmosphere on the inside, and lots of yummy choices for coffees and sandwiches. Iced Vanilla Latte - delicious. 10/10. A little overpriced. 7$ for a medium with flavoring. Salmon & Avocado - 8/10. Could've used more salmon. Wish it had cream cheese on it. Ham & Gruyere - 7/10. Too bready, it took up most of the bite. Flavor of the ham and cheese was very good though. Only concern is that this place is overpriced. It was $40 for two coffees and two sandwiches. Even at Starbucks this would've been $30.

Classic Avocado Tartine - A white plate holds two slices of avocado toast garnished with radish slices and herbs. The toast appears to be topped with mashed avocado and sprinkled with spices. Two halved soft-boiled eggs with runny yolks are placed beside the toast. The presentation is simple and focuses on fresh ingredients, suitable for a cafe setting.

And they do a damn good job of it! The cool thing is that it's a sandwich shop AND a Häagen Dazs ice cream store rolled up into one. Has to be one of the only places in the country of its kind! Savory or sweet, you'll find something you love here. The menu boasts sandwiches, soups, salads, breakfast, kids meals, and of course the full Häagen Dazs menu. Italian Stallion // ham, pepperoni, salami, provolone, lettuce, tomato, red onion, balsamic vinaigrette, yellow mustard & mayo on marbled rye. The Italian American favorite. All the salty and tangy notes were hit. I don't love the bread choice personally, but to each their own! I just think it would've been even more flavorful on the Ciabatta roll. Now I'm a little biased because I grew up in the Häagen Dazs world. My family owned two shops until I was 18! They have some unique flavors on hand that I haven't seen in store or other brick and mortars. I loved the selection they have on site here. Plus, the employees will happily sample whatever flavor you want to try! Huge store with lots of space to sit. Easy ordering process for either the deli or the ice cream. And seriously, some of the most friendly employees I've seen in a hot minute. For something quick and on the go, Lindsay's Boulder Deli gets my stamp of approval. And if you're lucky enough to run into Lindsay herself, you're sure in for a treat!

It's a small space- limited seating and one table was left uncleared…read morethe entire time we were there (30 minutes?), so when customers neglect to clear their own tables, staff aren't bothering to check tables. We ordered to eat there, but they still packaged our sandwiches to go. The staff didn't call out the order loud enough for us to realize they'd been prepared, so I think they sat at the counter for a while. My son was happy with his chicken pesto though he commented that it could've used a more generous application of the pesto. I kinda suffered from order regret. I chose the Turkey & Brie. The moment I unwrapped it, I was overwhelmed by the onion smell. Even after removing some of the onion, its presence lingered. My bad, I ordered it after all. The turkey and Brie comes with apple slices, and two kinds of mustard - a honey mustard and stone ground mustard. The honey mustard is what caught my eye. While I realize stone ground mustard is tangier, this sandwich was overcome by the strength of the onion and stone ground mustard. You don't even notice the apple and Brie. Just an overall miss for me. Last, if you happen to be dining in, you can use a bathroom (with a code) but it's a block away in a parking garage. I'm not down in Boulder super often, but I'm likely to skip a return visit. If I were to return, I'd try the chickpea and avocado sandwich instead and hope for better luck.

It felt like i was just eating pretzel bread with a hint of turkey and i couldn't taste the bacon jam which I was looking forward to the most. You will have to go through an app to pay for parking. This place only accepts cash. They do have an ATM on-site, if needed. As for the food and beer selection. Both were great. I was torn between the bison burger and the junk burger but decoded to go with the Junk Burger. It was literally cooked to perfection (well done chef!). As for the beer, they had 18 to choose from including two gluten free options. I could decide so I went with a beer flight which allowed me to sample several in my typical range of beers. Definitely would come back and recommend to anyone making stop in Boulder.

Our server didn't seem too happy that we showed up today, the food took about 30 minutes to get to us and the fried pickles and the Cuban weren't very yummy, we didn't finish either. Disappointing. However the French fries WERE very yummy! And the wrap was unique and pretty good. It's a large space and it was easy to find a seat. The artwork is beautiful. Luckily we found street parking so that was easy too. It's a cash only restaurant (or local personal checks) and while it wasn't a problem, we had cash, we probably wouldn't have come here had we known that beforehand. Credit card sales shouldn't be the consumers issue.

Looking for a save at that corner we decided to give Cheba Hut a try. We had never been to one even though there was one in the Hill years ago. It never looked or smelled inviting. But I had read positive reviews of this new one on Yelp so given that it was not packed with students, we gave it a try though disappointed not to have one of our longtime favorites. Even so, we had a decent meal. I could have something as light and small as I needed yet get something fresh and with a toasted warm roll. I appreciate the various sizes too. Small for me as an experiment in taste and quality. Medium for my husband who wanted warm and filling.i am so glad it's so easy to customize leaving off flavors I do not want, like garlic and green peppers, both of which are difficult for me to digest. I got the Magic Mushrooms, like a sweet little salad on a warm roll. The dressing was fresh to taste, all veggies came through and even the mushrooms were fresh not sautéed as I had expected. Will be even better in the summer though maybe not on a winter day that this wasn't, on a very mild week. My husband had the meatball bomb, warm and saucy with melted cheese and marinara. It was more than twice as big as mine. Good to know if you are hungry. I was able to make my custom tea blend at the self serve soda counter and please to do so. Cute cups too. There were plenty of takeout orders being made so it took a few minutes to get ours. But the bar was half full, the lift doors to the large patio closed so it was still quite comfortable inside. Amazingly more clean than the old one on the Hill from what I could see back then. There was music and screen to entertain but not overpower. I did not see any desserts I would eat but we headed back down the mall afterwards towards a favorite place. I have to say, for a place we did not intend to go, we really had a decent dinner and I would go back again in a warm day and try the patio when the sun is shining. It's a long time classic sub shop, more modern and clean than expected.
