    Roman sandwich

Coffee shop on Pearl street with indoor seating a a few tables outside on the sidewalk. Coffee is decent. Pastries are available as well as a few breakfast dishes and lunch sandwiches. The breakfast sandwich (with sausage) was good - the bun it was on was super soft and a mismatch for the structured sandwich. It ended up being hard to eat. The Roman sandwich was ok but had too much cheese. Our coffee (drip and an oatmilk latte) were good. It was busy on a Tuesday morning at 8:30, we were lucky to get a table for two.

Such a cute coffee shop. I can tell this is a spot that's always busy. Line moves quickly though. Really good selection of pastries. Coffee was solid. I like their lighter roast. Coffee cake with dates and cinnamon was so delicious and moist would definitely recommend getting a peice if they have it. Nice vibes in here and seating inside and outside. Coffee and pastry was a little over 10$. I think they have a few other locations as well. Would recommend.

Boxcar coffee roasters roasts coffee in-house and also makes all pastries in house. I ordered a seasonal pumpkin spice latte and a Kouign-amann pastry, which is like a flaky, buttery pastry coated with caramelized sugar. The pastry was super delicious and I could've eaten 10 of them! I wasn't as into my pumpkin spice latte - the flavor just wasn't for me. I do think that the quality of the espresso was good and I would be open to trying other coffee drinks next time. The interior is nice and there's a lot of seating, but be warned that the tables are very close together. I think a lot of college students frequent this location to hang and work on laptops. Overall, a solid choice if you're in the area.

Great coffee shop whether you're looking to park it and work for a couple hours or stop in and grab a treat and a drink. We did the latter and it was a great stop while we were in Boulder. I got a cortado and a chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was delicious and had plenty of chocolate. My one complaint is I felt like it took a while for my drink to be made but once i had it, it was a delicious cortado. Great coffee shop!

Lines out the door and paid parking, if you can even find any spots. What's the big fuss about? Boxcar Coffee, of course! This place is good, very good, and the locals know it. Gluten free and dairy free baked items. Friendly staff, skilled baristas. Cramped seating. This coffee shop is worth it all.

My drink was really good. The coffee was strong and fresh. My colleague purchased the tea, which is brewed to order. They were a bit busy in the morning but that is expected. However, they did move pretty quickly. The staff wasn't the friendliest, but I would return for the coffee when in town.

We were looking for a good coffee shop in Boulder where we were staying. This place has a roaster in the name so figured you can't go wrong. More than a coffee shop, there's food and wine you can order as well. The inside is pretty roomy and there are people with their work laptops here. There are seasonal coffee drinks you can order from and we went with the Black Velvet. It was creamy and you can definitely taste the coffee. There was a hint of sour in the coffee, which most people would like. This place is pretty busy on a Monday around noon.

We sat outside with our corgis and had a lovely breakfast. The food was delicious - the toast was amazing, and my breakfast sandwich was one of the best I've had. You can tell they put real care into their breakfast dishes. The coffee was great too, and the outdoor area had a nice calm, easygoing vibe.

Holy smokes. There was a line. The line is worth it. The baked goods are top notch. So is the coffee. Plenty of seating. Just a great great spot overall

Super cute coffee shop in my favorite mountain town - Boulder!!! Seasonal lattes keep changing- I treated myself to the cardamom rose latte before heading up to the Rocky Mountains.

Service is non-existent. Lack of service seems to exist to promote long waits and exclusivity. Unacceptable.

My colleagues and I came here post-hike, looking for a coffee and some fuel and that's exactly what we got. I went with the Ube latte, m one of the specials, and it was so good! It had the perfect balance of sweetness, creaminess, and nuttiness thanks to the Ube flavor. My friend got the honey latte, which I tried and was also very delicious. The menu has lots of creative options. Another colleague I was with got the espresso tonic with Yuzu, which was another winner. We also tried some of the protein balls which were surprisingly delicious! The menu prices are slightly high, but because they are in no tipping café it evens out pretty nicely. If I'm ever back in Boulder, I will absolutely come back here!

The dozens of plants breath so much life into the space and the big windows/garage doors offer tons of natural light. Not to mention the bright colors splashed across the walls, and the fun furniture and decor. Can you tell I liked the vibe? And just as much liked my drink, too! My friends and I all got something different and each drink was prettier than the next. I had the salted honey latte (iced) and it was delightful - I love that sweet/savory combo. I tried my girlfriends ube latte too and yummm. They also have other goodies like mild bread toasts, breakfast paninis, fresh parfait, and various snackies. Couldn't help but grab the house-made sunflower protein balls at the cash register, and needless to say that was a good decision. Oh and the cherry on top was the very sweet staff taking care of us!

A standout detail is that all their flavorings and syrups are made in-house, which really elevates the drinks. You can even buy small bottles of their syrups in-store. Service Service is quick and friendly. The baristas are especially helpful in explaining pastries and flavor profiles, which makes it easier to try something new. First off note that they are no longer on Pearl but on Alpine next to Santo in the shopping center…read morewith Ideal Market/Alpine Whole Foods. I'll get the Yelp page fixed later today. We had heard of this cafe as they had been food hosts at a party at a Kühl on Pearl and were hoping to actually eat in their cafe when they coincidentally moved next door to one of our favorite local eateries. We were in the neighborhood around lunchtime so we stopped in when we arrived it was busy, by the time we left, it was packed. It's a unique menu fit for most palates and healthy as can be. It attracts athletes if all ages, healthy eaters of all types. You won't find much meat but there is some. It also as an Asian flair with offerings of congee and fried chicken sides, fish, rice and veggies of all sorts including kimchi . Japanese egg salad sandwiches too. That's one I need to try next time. Today we both chose the mushroom congee with 7 minute egg and a hot drink. A spicy chai with oat milk for my husband and berry hibiscus tea for me. We both enjoyed our meals but just a bit too much garlic for me but just right for my husband and must others too. I loved the volumes of mushrooms and the sprinkles of spices on the whole egg. The egg was done perfectly. My husband brought home a side order of popcorn chicken as I will be at a meeting so he will be eating dinner alone. The service was great, everyone friendly and helpful the cafe bright and clean and the ordering counter moves fast. They deliver to and clear the tables. More quick casual places should do this to avoid the piles of debris at bins in the seating area I often see. There is a flat panel screen on the wall featuring cyclists in the wild given that energy snacks were the first products of this company and much for sale here too. The mix of diners covered the spectrum of adults you would expect in Boulder. This cafe is only breakfast and lunch so come when convenient earlier in the day. Parking is free and always available in this center. Lots of construction around the intersection so plan your trip to get into the lot via Alpine and not Broadway. That Broadway construction will be ongoing for a while. It's also a good place to arrive by bike. Pricing was very affordable and variety of meals wide.
