    Roman sandwich

Coffee shop on Pearl street with indoor seating a a few tables outside on the sidewalk. Coffee is decent. Pastries are available as well as a few breakfast dishes and lunch sandwiches. The breakfast sandwich (with sausage) was good - the bun it was on was super soft and a mismatch for the structured sandwich. It ended up being hard to eat. The Roman sandwich was ok but had too much cheese. Our coffee (drip and an oatmilk latte) were good. It was busy on a Tuesday morning at 8:30, we were lucky to get a table for two.

Such a cute coffee shop. I can tell this is a spot that's always busy. Line moves quickly though. Really good selection of pastries. Coffee was solid. I like their lighter roast. Coffee cake with dates and cinnamon was so delicious and moist would definitely recommend getting a peice if they have it. Nice vibes in here and seating inside and outside. Coffee and pastry was a little over 10$. I think they have a few other locations as well. Would recommend.

Boxcar coffee roasters roasts coffee in-house and also makes all pastries in house. I ordered a seasonal pumpkin spice latte and a Kouign-amann pastry, which is like a flaky, buttery pastry coated with caramelized sugar. The pastry was super delicious and I could've eaten 10 of them! I wasn't as into my pumpkin spice latte - the flavor just wasn't for me. I do think that the quality of the espresso was good and I would be open to trying other coffee drinks next time. The interior is nice and there's a lot of seating, but be warned that the tables are very close together. I think a lot of college students frequent this location to hang and work on laptops. Overall, a solid choice if you're in the area.

Great coffee shop whether you're looking to park it and work for a couple hours or stop in and grab a treat and a drink. We did the latter and it was a great stop while we were in Boulder. I got a cortado and a chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was delicious and had plenty of chocolate. My one complaint is I felt like it took a while for my drink to be made but once i had it, it was a delicious cortado. Great coffee shop!

Lines out the door and paid parking, if you can even find any spots. What's the big fuss about? Boxcar Coffee, of course! This place is good, very good, and the locals know it. Gluten free and dairy free baked items. Friendly staff, skilled baristas. Cramped seating. This coffee shop is worth it all.

My drink was really good. The coffee was strong and fresh. My colleague purchased the tea, which is brewed to order. They were a bit busy in the morning but that is expected. However, they did move pretty quickly. The staff wasn't the friendliest, but I would return for the coffee when in town.

We were looking for a good coffee shop in Boulder where we were staying. This place has a roaster in the name so figured you can't go wrong. More than a coffee shop, there's food and wine you can order as well. The inside is pretty roomy and there are people with their work laptops here. There are seasonal coffee drinks you can order from and we went with the Black Velvet. It was creamy and you can definitely taste the coffee. There was a hint of sour in the coffee, which most people would like. This place is pretty busy on a Monday around noon.

We sat outside with our corgis and had a lovely breakfast. The food was delicious - the toast was amazing, and my breakfast sandwich was one of the best I've had. You can tell they put real care into their breakfast dishes. The coffee was great too, and the outdoor area had a nice calm, easygoing vibe.

Holy smokes. There was a line. The line is worth it. The baked goods are top notch. So is the coffee. Plenty of seating. Just a great great spot overall

Super cute coffee shop in my favorite mountain town - Boulder!!! Seasonal lattes keep changing- I treated myself to the cardamom rose latte before heading up to the Rocky Mountains.

Service is non-existent. Lack of service seems to exist to promote long waits and exclusivity. Unacceptable.

We were foiled in our attempt to get coffee at The Dairy Center, but this spot was quite close. The shop is a bit crowded with lots of round tables and a small amount of counter seating facing the outside windows. There's a wall of bookshelves stocked with reading material. There's also some outside seating. The staff was friendly, but it seemed to take an extremely long time to make my girlfriend's latte. We were both tired and a bit cranky, so perhaps we were impatient. It actually took about six minutes to make that one drink, after checking my notes. Hmmm. I don't know what they do when they get busy. My girlfriend reported that her latte was fine, so I guess that's the conclusion. Pretty average.

We had to wait about 20 mins without a reservation on a weekday - im guessing weekends are busier. The menu is influenced from countries along the silk route and has a dish from various different countries. We tried the swedish svamptoast, malaysian sambal curry, indonesian peanut noodle, choo chee salmon. Everything was flavorful, a little spicy, good quantities and the value for money was also great - each dish was $20-$23 range which is great for such an ambience. We also tried their chai - which was lightly spiced and one of the black teas (pineapple chilli) - and these were delicious too! We had kids with us and they were super friendly and nice towards them and accommodating to menu changes based on preferences. Overall - highly recommend this place!

Service throughout was cheerful, thorough and we were made to feel truly welcomed which we appreciated. The building is astoundingly beautiful from the moment you walk up to the heavenly scented rose garden out front to the handmade tile building to the statues in the fountain that lend just the right amount of peaceful tranquility....it's all quite remarkable to the senses. Then comes the feast with international influences from Persia to Africa to Asia, etc, it brings a masterful collection of flavors. We ordered the bao, hummus plate and Mediterranean salad to start and all were excellent. The bao was my favorite, pillowy soft with succulent pork. For mains we ordered: the lamb shish kabebs which were as expected and served with a delicious rice and tzatziki sauce, next was the spicy Indonesian peanut noodles with chicken and this was amazingly flavorful and perfectly prepared, but our last one was my favorite and that was the African Shoko which was beef that was so tender and delicious and paired with plantains and peppers which gave it this mild sweet heat that was an absolute delight! We most certainly couldn't end the night without dessert so we opted for the chocolate espresso mousse and the Austrian apple streusel which reminded me of my Grandma in the most perfect and beautiful way, it was delicious and if I hadn't been so full I would have eaten every bite! What a tremendous experience! I cannot wait to come back and try their tea service! This place is truly special!

This is the first shop to open outside the MOXY on the Hill on the plaza attached. It was a sunny, almost spring day and worth the walk for an afternoon treat. My standard for trying a new place to get a feel of their range, is a Cortado, decaf with oat milk. And always, some tasty looking pastry. This was a successful visit. The pastries are baked locally by Dry Storage and the orange cardamom scone was small and a great treat. Much better than humongous scones tend to be, as I think they bake more evenly. It was barely warmed so the frosting would soften and the interior soft and fresh, which enhances the flavors. The Cortado was fine too. Not quite the mellow decaf I have elsewhere every morning but nicely tempered by the oat milk. Some places use too much in their milk portion of the serving and I prefer the perfect balance of them as intended. It was nicely served on a small ceramic tray with a similar sized glass of sparkling water. Seems to be a trend these days in similar coffee shops. The decor is very modern and sleek. Lots of white and gray tile and marble surfaces with industrial duct work up high on the vaulted ceiling. There is also a good selection of teas for those that prefer. The pastry selection is still quite small and will be expanded when the need arises. The staff was helpful and getting to know their shop. I'm sure when they are more practiced and they develop a regular following, they will be able to pick up the pace behind the bar. There are some unusual seating areas which not everyone will be able to use as they require some climbing, like bleachers. I'm sure one. On fall football game days, they will fill up with agile young people and they will need far more baristas in place.
