This is another past hang out for me when living in Boulder years ago. It was strange walking in today. Another business seemed to have merged with Amante. It was like walking into a bank lobby. I like the extra open space but it seemed a bit too much. There is always something lacking when an establishment has too much space. I love it when businesses make good use of their space. What I enjoyed the most about my visit today was the low number of patrons frequenting it and the noise level was low. I ordered a cappuccino "for here" and picked a spot to sit next to the main windows. I love the natural light that flows into this place. There is a nice outdoor seating area as well. The Amante Coffee umbrellas give it a nice European flair. Cappuccino was outstanding! I didn't need to put any sweetener in it. It was that good! Again, I love when a place serves their coffee in a ceramic coffee cup. This one came with a saucer, Amante branding as well. They had a nice genre of music playing and the volume wasn't turned up that high. It was set at a nice reasonable level. Staff is friendly here. The man taking my order was helpful. He offered some good choices based on my preferences. I like that he was personable and didn't just offer terse responses to my questions. I also asked about some pastries lying on the counter. They looked familiar. This same man took the time to explain the pastry's origin and the ingredients. Kudos for the great customer service offered to me. Overall, this was a pleasant visit for me. I'm glad that I decided to return here. Again, outstanding cappuccino. I may stop here again before I leave Boulder today.

Let me just say these people are so accommodating. My first meal was soggy so they replaced it, and then I dropped it all over the floor. I felt so bad bc I made a huge mess. & then they made me a burrito bc I assumed it was my day for a quiche. My lavender matcha latte was to die for. I will keep coming back because of their kind actions.

This is a very cute and small coffee shop. I came here with my cousins and this place is great for if you need to study because it's very quite. The workers were really nice and suggest some drinks for us since it was our first time there. The place is clean and like I said, it's small. So it's not very great for large group hang outs. Other then that, service is great.

We just order vanilla lattes. Hot and cold. Both were delicious! Love their expresso no burnt flavor. Fast and polite. The vibe on the inside was nice. No complaints and would definitely come back.

The "Shotinos" alone earn this place five stars. During happy hour they are only $3 a pop. A shot of amaretto topped with a shot of espresso topped with heavy cream in a tiny shot glass you sip through a straw. Amazing!!!! The textures and layers one after the other leave a warmth of wonder in your mouth as it travels down your throat, caffeine pumping through your blood stream wiring you for the afternoon while the amaretto mellows you out and warms your gut. So so worth it. I dream about the Shotinos! The service is good. The prices are reasonable. The ambiance is like any other coffee shop. Street parking. Bring your IDs as these caffeinated alcoholic beverages require carding!

Amante Walnut... oh. my. god. This guy is an artist. Ask him for a breve cortado and prepare to be amazed. The care with which he added the creamy half-and-half and the mouth feel of the result was... I don't even know what to say. And their customer service is always excellent.

Short & sweet: Service: 5 Coffee: 5 Wait time: 5 Price: 4 Cleanliness of bathroom: 5 Small, but cozy, Amante is more than a cafe. The possibilities of Amante are endless. I can drink wine. I can order other alcoholic beverages. I can happily swallow their gelato. I can over-caffeinate myself on coffee. My latte (I kept it tame) came to me perfectly, with delicate latte art - yum, and I was offered a sample of their gelato - yum. The baristas were friendly, but not uncomfortably so. The booths are perfect for "working" (aka staring at other customers and eavesdropping on their conversation). Just outside of Pearl St., Amante's is perfect for a late night caffeine fix.

It's a stand alone building and was originally built as a neighborhood grocery in 1932. It has also been a a convenience store and a short lived food coop. The current us is the best it has been since I moved here 50 years ago. It was such a good model that a second location was built over in Twenty Ninth Street at the end of the pandemic when the Peets coffee space was empty. The nice thing about the Hill location is that most customers come on foot or bicycle since there is only a little street park it. If you just come by car, please be courteous to the local neighbors who must use the street for their own cars too. The coffee bar is extremely popular but they also have teas and some sodas and bottled drinks and casual non alcoholic drinks. The kitchen serves brunch and lunch style foods from classic toasts and eggs , bowls of various sorts but the kitchen closes at 3 pm and the doors close at 4. My favorite item here has always been the blueberry ricotta toast but it was dropped last fall. So sad as I know others should like to see it come back too. But though I had a classic avocado toast with a busing friend yesterday. I went with a bowl today and as u hoped I will get 2 lunches out of it. They have also slimmed the menu this year as the kitchen is really small. They have fine tuned the bowls to include aspects of two. Today I ordered the Green Goddess Grain bowl so the best and healthiest forming of two worlds. I walked down for the takeout so I could eat at home with my own drink. They also have an app so it can be ready when yo arrive. The seating is ample in good weather like today but it can also be crowded as it attracts remote workers as they have phenomenal WiFi here. It's been a real asset to the neighborhood as well as visitors too. Even though the original owner has moved, the current owner has been involved since the beginning.
