Our friends in Boulder took us to Skratch Labs Table for lunch during our visit this past weekend. I usually do not go with the house salad but she recommended that I try it, and I was not disappointed. The salad was very flavorful and the rice tots were delicious! I also tried the salmon bowl that my husband ordered and it was very good. The service was very quick and after a particularly active day, I enjoyed the casual ambience and the healthy options they had on the menu. First off note that they are no longer on Pearl but on Alpine next to Santo in the shopping center with Ideal Market/Alpine Whole Foods. I'll get the Yelp page fixed later today. We had heard of this cafe as they had been food hosts at a party at a Kühl on Pearl and were hoping to actually eat in their cafe when they coincidentally moved next door to one of our favorite local eateries. We were in the neighborhood around lunchtime so we stopped in when we arrived it was busy, by the time we left, it was packed. It's a unique menu fit for most palates and healthy as can be. It attracts athletes if all ages, healthy eaters of all types. You won't find much meat but there is some. It also as an Asian flair with offerings of congee and fried chicken sides, fish, rice and veggies of all sorts including kimchi . Japanese egg salad sandwiches too. That's one I need to try next time. Today we both chose the mushroom congee with 7 minute egg and a hot drink. A spicy chai with oat milk for my husband and berry hibiscus tea for me. We both enjoyed our meals but just a bit too much garlic for me but just right for my husband and must others too. I loved the volumes of mushrooms and the sprinkles of spices on the whole egg. The egg was done perfectly. My husband brought home a side order of popcorn chicken as I will be at a meeting so he will be eating dinner alone. The service was great, everyone friendly and helpful the cafe bright and clean and the ordering counter moves fast. They deliver to and clear the tables. More quick casual places should do this to avoid the piles of debris at bins in the seating area I often see. There is a flat panel screen on the wall featuring cyclists in the wild given that energy snacks were the first products of this company and much for sale here too. The mix of diners covered the spectrum of adults you would expect in Boulder. This cafe is only breakfast and lunch so come when convenient earlier in the day. Parking is free and always available in this center. Lots of construction around the intersection so plan your trip to get into the lot via Alpine and not Broadway. That Broadway construction will be ongoing for a while. It's also a good place to arrive by bike. Pricing was very affordable and variety of meals wide. read more

This is a great place to get healthy and hearty meals. They have a good variety of salads, bowls, sandwiches, etc. They also have a coffee bar and desserts. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There were people of all ages, and lots of cyclists (who look very fit). Highly recommend for casual dining for any type of group: single, family, friends, sports club, etc. read more

The employees were really nice and they have their hydration on tap which is fun. Lots of tables and people were meeting for lunch and working. Bright and happy inside - would go back to work. We used to drop into the Pearl location. Although the parking and traffic are a little worse, the space had a different feel. The current location has plenty of parking (but a strict 2 hour limit) and can get very busy due to all the businesses and restaurants in that area. This is a good addition, though. The food is quite good and unusual. The service is counter order and delivery to table. On the side is water but also a sample of their electrolyte waters. (Note that when we went to the downtown location a while ago they used to have 2 flavors and over time it might have been just 1; however they often had different flavors featured. On our recent visit and the Xmas holiday visit, the same flavor was featured. So we didn't get a chance to taste something different.) What I really appreciate is that they let you bring in your own water bottle to fill with the electrolyte drink. The new location is bright and beautiful and seems to have more seating. On our most recent visit, the screen was showing various views of Japan and cherry blossoms. It was beautiful and relaxing. Please note that the food items are a little expensive. Officially one of my favorite places to eat in Boulder! I haven't visited Pearl St as much as I'd like to, and while paid street parking can be a nightmare, it's totally worth experiencing the culinary scene. My friend and I met here for lunch on a snowy day, and it was pretty full with people working on their laptops or meeting others. Very versatile in terms of vibes. I personally got the Mushroom Congee & Egg ($8) and Rice Tots ($6) which made the perfect meal. Would highly recommend both options, especially the tots, as they were hot, fresh, and tasty. Not the best to take home, but I did it anyways. I want to try more items off their menu. Customer service and ambiance were both fantastic. I'm super impressed! read more

I have been meaning to make it to Skratch Labs Cafe for a while now! I live about 25 minutes away, so it's definitely a planned visit for me. I decided to go pick up some rice cakes and Skratch products prior to a weightlifting competition I had the next day. It is located on the east end of Pearl Street, close to Avanti. It was easy to find street parking within a quick walk too. I loved being able to buy rice cakes. I got a few of the chocolate peanut butter and the bacon egg one. They both fueled me for my powerlifting competition, which was a huge plus. I could also pick up other products like the matcha Skratch powder and some energy gummies. I loved that it's a one-stop shop for lots of healthy goodies. Of course, I also partook in the free Skratch on tap. They had Lemon Lime on tap, and it was so refreshing to sip on while I waited for my rice cake to be ready. The Bacon and Egg Rice Cake was perfection. I wish I had gotten several more it was so good. I'm going to go back and try a bowl in the future. It just wasn't in the cards on Friday when I stopped by. I loved the cozy ambiance too, so I might try working from there too since they also have wifi too. read more

I've been there three or four times and food/taste is inconsistent. The chicken bone broth was very watered down tasting. The miso coconut soup with mushrooms was lukewarm and not much taste and watered down. The rice tots are good, but very oily. Funny place. Been going there sporadically since it opened and the menu hasn't really changed at all. However, I do have my favorites: -coconut soup (so good) -fried chicken with chilli garlic sauce I switch it up from time to time and everything has been decent, nothing too mind blowing, but very good. If you go during the lunch rush you might have a hard time getting a table as most people sit there and work on their laptops. Service is ok, you basically order yourself, pick up your food yourself, and bus your own table. Therefore, when you go in the open tables are usually full of crumbs and/or grease- not a good look. I'm am a big fan of soup and I make them all the time and this place has the most EPIC Coconut tumeric soup. It has mushrooms in it for a little texture and nutrients. I'm so glad I wandered into this little unassuming cafe. It's a haven for students and remote workers looking for a change of scenery. Seating is comfortable, wifi is fast, and outlets are aplenty. They also have a free hydration station. There is plenty of natural light and friendly, professional employees. The food is what prompted me to write this review. It is surprisingly delicious for how healthy it is marketed to be. I got a lemongrass pork shoulder bowl that was simply chef's kiss. I forgot to take a picture of it before inhaling it. Also got the pork and egg and bacon rice snacks along with an olive oil cake on the go... again freaking excellent. A must in Boulder if you want fresh and all natural foods. Super healthy, unique, and delicious options that make you feel ready to go on a long bike ride, which clearly is the intention. This is such a Boulder vibe in the best way: health and outdoor focused, with so many vegetarian options to choose from. I've tried the rice bowl, the congee, the pozole, and the veggie buritto, and the only one that wasn't amazing was the buritto--it was a little flavorless and dry. I'll be back for sure. Worst cup of coffee I have ever had. Full stop. When I requested a refill of the empty creamer carafe, I was treated with what I can only describe as "accommodating contempt." Between the mustaches and flavor of the coffee (both iced and cold brew), I'd recommend steering clear. Though, if you like ill advised mustaches, equally ill advised short shorts and listening to privileged children whine about parental shortcomings, you might love this place. Stopped by here over the weekend while out in Boulder and loved it. I love Skratch products and was excited to try the cafe. We got a rice bowl, rice tots, egg and bacon rice cake, pork shoulder rice cake and a cherry hand pie. Each item was delicious and hit the spot. I lived in South Korea for a couple years so a bowl of rice with kimchi and an egg is my comfort food for sure. The rice tots were amazing! The bowl was a good size and really delicious. The meat was super flavorful. My only complaint is that I got a good amount of fat with the meat that wasn't edible. Loved the tray of sauces and I combined them to make my own dipping sauce. The owner was there and was helping out and cleaning and the employees seemed to be enjoying themselves. Can't wait to go back and try the breakfast burritos since they were out when we went.
