I enjoy the Tuna onigiri and Momo. I walked in for to go order. I'll definitely go back.

Fuji is always a welcome sight whenever my stomach starts grumbling on Pearl Street. Just a quick turn off from the shops, this cozy spot offers light and filling lunch options. Japanese/indian/nepalese dishes here ranging from onigiri, curry, and rice bowls. They have a onigiri set that lets you pick three flavors! My personal favorite meal is the Unagi Bowl with their iced green tea. It's the perfect spot for a rest and a meal. I love Fuji restaurant and bar.

Nice little place right in the center of Boulder, near Pearl St. Mall on Broadway. One of these places I probably passed by a hundred times. Some dishes were really good and some just ok. For example, the chicken soup was very good but the Himalaya Curry was disappointing, it had a lot of content but I was hoping for more curry and also more flavor. Overall, a really nice place with I guess a little bit of a hit and miss depending on what you order. It feels great to support non-chain restaurants too. The service was good, maybe the guy that was there was the owner but he was very nice to us. He never checked on us though but it's a small place and it feels like you can always grab him if you need anything.

I really enjoyed dining here. It's a great space with small intimate settings. I would recommend small groups. The service was friendly and quick. I ordered the 3 origini platter, it came with soup, an appetizer, and some pickled veggies. I really enjoyed the origini - tuna and beef are my favorite. I'd definitely come back!

Eager for a clean and fresh tasting meal? Look no further than Fuji Cafe and Bar. It's a Japanese Nepalese restaurant and I was really searching for the momos. But instead of just momos we also tried the himalayan curry. Found near Pearl Street, it's a perfect off the busy street restaurant that serves delicious homestyle foods. From what we've gotten, it was very mild, tasted very clean and healthy. The momos were served with what seemed to be a tomato based sauce on the side. They were stuffed with a dense ground pork patty. It was delicious! You can get them either fried or steamed, we got them steamed. The curry itself was also really good. Mild tomato based. Came with a side of rice. Wish it was bigger so that I could enjoy more of it! I'd definitely try it again next time in Boulder.

I love the story. Fuji Cafe is Japanese and Nepalese influenced. A true mom and pop, family run business. Momma bear was in the kitchen and baby bar served. I ordered a matcha latte which was the best I have ever had. Full disclaimer this was only my second one. I ordered the vegetable stew. I thought it was delicious but after looking at other dishes at adjacent tables, I should have ordered differently. I sat at the bar and enjoyed my conversation with Sherpa. Super nice kid with a bright future

I really loved this place. They were incredibly fast about ordering and preparing the food. We were pretty hungry when we went so we got the onigiri meal combos and it was so worth it. The onigiris were surprisingly large and full of filling. The miso soup and pickles were also pretty good. We thought this was a great serving size. The price is in the lower end and coming here is definitely well worth the cost.

After a cold walk around Boulder, this place was a great find. It's small and quiet with lots of options. The environment was nice to be in. Gives you a good feel of their orgins. Also, seeing part of the kitchen was cool. Watching them cook some of the dishes was entertaining. At least to me. The good was delicious!! And the portion was great for the price. It warmed us up and prepared us for the rest of our adventure. It's a small place so you may walk past it. But if you do, turn around and go in. It's completely worth it!!

Hubby really enjoyed our meals here after a day of sightseeing. This is a family-run restaurant with friendly staff and food made by family from scratch in the kitchen. We loved the cozy atmosphere and delicious food. Everything was seasoned well and delivered fresh and piping hot to our table. If we were locals, Fugi would quickly become one of our favorite go-to restaurants!

Omg. This little spot is such a gem. We came in here yesterday afternoon before going out to hike the Chautauqua trails and the onigiri set us up for success. My favorite was the tuna mayo hands down, followed by the ume. My friend also enjoyed the salmon. I will definitely come here anytime I'm back in Boulder, and so should you.

Checked this place out a few nights ago and was very confused (and disappointed) by the whole thing. They have wayyyy too much going on - Japanese items, poke, random curries, noodles, chicken tenders and fries???? We got the onigiri special set (I LOVE ONIGIRI) but none of them were very good, and the meats in them seemed kinda funky. The tofu was like a fake agedashi tofu, and was served very cold and was really not pleasant. The best part about the whole thing was the miso soup which, admittedly, was quite good. I don't know if we just got the wrong items and maybe the other dishes are really good, but was not a fan :(

I could have ate 2 bowls of the salmon. Everything is nicely sized but a good size to not get too full to order more. Their original kitchen, Zoe Ma Ma is now a half block further west on Pearl. They cover much in the way of Asian specialties for West Pearl. At Dragonfly, they make their own noodles and they are very good. I had some last night in my pho and am looking forward to getting the Yuki Udon next time. My husband wanted a selection of Bao so chose the roasted duck, the pork belly and the Dragonfly. He really liked them all. I love duck Bao so I had one too. Because it was chilly out I got the smoked brisket Pho too and had to bring some home since it was a lot to eat on top of the Bao. I lived the fresh basil leaves and the crunchy crisp bean sprouts. I opted out of the spicy peppers an onion as I find them harsh everywhere. I totally forgot to add a few other options as I live bok choy too. You can get a full menu of options online to order at your table by phone but we prefer and they offer a full sized menu at the counter. Note, that a nominal tip is included which is thoughtful and fair to customers and workers alike. They share duties but noted the owner who makes the noodles in the adjacent space was leaving as we were eating. You can see some of the equipment through the glass partition. They were out of oolong tea and I was hoping for some on a chilly day so I hope it is there next time as a long winter ahead of us. My husband had the iced Thai tea with his Bao. That tea is too sweet for me with condensed milk in it. We will definitely be back later. If I have pho again or my husband has it with rare steak as he plans , I hope the broth will be hotter to cook it some. If we could rate with half stars I'd go 4.5 though it was not quite perfect enough for a 5. But we will be back and pretty soon.

The miso soup was heavily watered down - needed either more dashi and / or miso paste to bring it to an acceptable level. I rarely have a good experience with ramen offerings at a sushi place and this was no exception. The "tonkotsu" ramen broth was anything but; it didn't taste anything remotely that would be considered tonkotsu and the noodles looked like it came out of some western version of packaged ramen noodles. The beef "teriyaki" lunch bento was awful. The "teriyaki" sauce tasted watered down and they would have been better off with the 99c bachan's teriyaki sauce from Costco because this sauce was the worst I've ever consumed. I was struggling to taste the components of teriyaki in it. It didn't even have the viscosity of teriyaki either and was this watery mess. The dipping sauce for the potstickers was also some strange spiced anomaly; the sauce that we all know and love isn't hard to make either - it's 1:1 soy sauce and vinegar, and they should have just went with that. The california roll included was ok. It's just overall I feel sad for the folks that live around here as this may be their only exposure to Japanese food and none of it represents anything that could be remotely considered decent. They need to remove the dim sum and ramen options and focus on what they are - a sushi joint.
