Nice little place right in the center of Boulder, near Pearl St. Mall on Broadway. One of these places I probably passed by a hundred times. Some dishes were really good and some just ok. For example, the chicken soup was very good but the Himalaya Curry was disappointing, it had a lot of content but I was hoping for more curry and also more flavor. Overall, a really nice place with I guess a little bit of a hit and miss depending on what you order. It feels great to support non-chain restaurants too. The service was good, maybe the guy that was there was the owner but he was very nice to us. He never checked on us though but it's a small place and it feels like you can always grab him if you need anything.

I really enjoyed dining here. It's a great space with small intimate settings. I would recommend small groups. The service was friendly and quick. I ordered the 3 origini platter, it came with soup, an appetizer, and some pickled veggies. I really enjoyed the origini - tuna and beef are my favorite. I'd definitely come back!

Eager for a clean and fresh tasting meal? Look no further than Fuji Cafe and Bar. It's a Japanese Nepalese restaurant and I was really searching for the momos. But instead of just momos we also tried the himalayan curry. Found near Pearl Street, it's a perfect off the busy street restaurant that serves delicious homestyle foods. From what we've gotten, it was very mild, tasted very clean and healthy. The momos were served with what seemed to be a tomato based sauce on the side. They were stuffed with a dense ground pork patty. It was delicious! You can get them either fried or steamed, we got them steamed. The curry itself was also really good. Mild tomato based. Came with a side of rice. Wish it was bigger so that I could enjoy more of it! I'd definitely try it again next time in Boulder.

I love the story. Fuji Cafe is Japanese and Nepalese influenced. A true mom and pop, family run business. Momma bear was in the kitchen and baby bar served. I ordered a matcha latte which was the best I have ever had. Full disclaimer this was only my second one. I ordered the vegetable stew. I thought it was delicious but after looking at other dishes at adjacent tables, I should have ordered differently. I sat at the bar and enjoyed my conversation with Sherpa. Super nice kid with a bright future

I really loved this place. They were incredibly fast about ordering and preparing the food. We were pretty hungry when we went so we got the onigiri meal combos and it was so worth it. The onigiris were surprisingly large and full of filling. The miso soup and pickles were also pretty good. We thought this was a great serving size. The price is in the lower end and coming here is definitely well worth the cost.

After a cold walk around Boulder, this place was a great find. It's small and quiet with lots of options. The environment was nice to be in. Gives you a good feel of their orgins. Also, seeing part of the kitchen was cool. Watching them cook some of the dishes was entertaining. At least to me. The good was delicious!! And the portion was great for the price. It warmed us up and prepared us for the rest of our adventure. It's a small place so you may walk past it. But if you do, turn around and go in. It's completely worth it!!

Hubby really enjoyed our meals here after a day of sightseeing. This is a family-run restaurant with friendly staff and food made by family from scratch in the kitchen. We loved the cozy atmosphere and delicious food. Everything was seasoned well and delivered fresh and piping hot to our table. If we were locals, Fugi would quickly become one of our favorite go-to restaurants!

Omg. This little spot is such a gem. We came in here yesterday afternoon before going out to hike the Chautauqua trails and the onigiri set us up for success. My favorite was the tuna mayo hands down, followed by the ume. My friend also enjoyed the salmon. I will definitely come here anytime I'm back in Boulder, and so should you.

Checked this place out a few nights ago and was very confused (and disappointed) by the whole thing. They have wayyyy too much going on - Japanese items, poke, random curries, noodles, chicken tenders and fries???? We got the onigiri special set (I LOVE ONIGIRI) but none of them were very good, and the meats in them seemed kinda funky. The tofu was like a fake agedashi tofu, and was served very cold and was really not pleasant. The best part about the whole thing was the miso soup which, admittedly, was quite good. I don't know if we just got the wrong items and maybe the other dishes are really good, but was not a fan :(

    Unagi Onigiri

Decent but not great. Onigiri was very rice forward with limited meat inside. Poke Don was middle tier in terms of quality. Tuna was a little hard and lacking flavor. Poke bowl is way better at a poke restaurant as there were very limited toppings. Poke bowl consisted of salmon, avocado, rice, furikake and a sauce, that's it. If you're going to make a poke bowl, add more to it. Won't be back.

Was trying to find a place to eat that wasn't typical "American" food and we stumbled upon this place. The ambiance was very quiet and simple and honestly I loved the peacefulness after a long day of hiking. - chicken momo soup: sooo yummy and filling! The soup was miso based (vegetarian) and flavorful without being spicy. You can also pick which kind of dumplings you want! - veggie chawman: udon noodles with lots of veggies, very yummy and filling again - onigiri Special: came with edamame and miso soup as my sides. I'm usually a salmon girl but this one was smoked salmon which was a little dry so I actually preferred the tuna mayo over the other two! Also a little too much rice for me Would definitely recommend this place if you want to try food that tastes homey/authentic and unique at the same time!

A standout detail is that all their flavorings and syrups are made in-house, which really elevates the drinks. You can even buy small bottles of their syrups in-store. Service Service is quick and friendly. The baristas are especially helpful in explaining pastries and flavor profiles, which makes it easier to try something new. We had heard of this cafe as they had been food hosts at a party at a Kühl on Pearl and were hoping to actually eat in their cafe when they coincidentally moved next door to one of our favorite local eateries. We were in the neighborhood around lunchtime so we stopped in when we arrived it was busy, by the time we left, it was packed. It's a unique menu fit for most palates and healthy as can be. It attracts athletes if all ages, healthy eaters of all types. You won't find much meat but there is some. It also as an Asian flair with offerings of congee and fried chicken sides, fish, rice and veggies of all sorts including kimchi . Japanese egg salad sandwiches too. That's one I need to try next time. Today we both chose the mushroom congee with 7 minute egg and a hot drink. A spicy chai with oat milk for my husband and berry hibiscus tea for me. We both enjoyed our meals but just a bit too much garlic for me but just right for my husband and must others too. I loved the volumes of mushrooms and the sprinkles of spices on the whole egg. The egg was done perfectly. My husband brought home a side order of popcorn chicken as I will be at a meeting so he will be eating dinner alone. The service was great, everyone friendly and helpful the cafe bright and clean and the ordering counter moves fast. They deliver to and clear the tables. More quick casual places should do this to avoid the piles of debris at bins in the seating area I often see. There is a flat panel screen on the wall featuring cyclists in the wild given that energy snacks were the first products of this company and much for sale here too. The mix of diners covered the spectrum of adults you would expect in Boulder. This cafe is only breakfast and lunch so come when convenient earlier in the day. Parking is free and always available in this center. Lots of construction around the intersection so plan your trip to get into the lot via Alpine and not Broadway. That Broadway construction will be ongoing for a while. It's also a good place to arrive by bike. Pricing was very affordable and variety of meals wide.
