Sat outside on a cool summer night. Ordered the gyoza, yellowtail roll, Kirin, and hot sake. Service was prompt, food was amazing, and there is a beautiful view!

Sushi in via Dash = A centering evening Fresh and great presentation, even for a delivery order. I have a hard time giving 5 stars for sushi places, they really have to impress me. Overall, I liked all they offer. Wish they offered Uni (my FAV) but I understand with the cost and fragility of it. Picture: Amaebi (Sweet shrimp; tail raw and head fried) Ikura (Salmon Roe 2x) Smoked Salmon (not one of my fav but wanted to taste they way they prepared it) Happy Yelping!

Just str8 out here. These guys cant hang.

Severely disappointed... this was the unagi roll which did not have any unagi... I was hoping to try a different sushi place besides the usual but all of the rolls did not contain almost any fish while still being the same price as the more expensive places on pearl.additionally the quality of fish was not great.

I liked EVERYTHING. Quick service. Miso soup is sooooo good. Definitely recommend. Rolls: Perfect Roll, Godzilla roll, Kiss of Fire Roll, Fire Belle

My first taste of Sushi in Boulder! The service is quick but that may have been because we were the only ones in at the time. They are speedy to bus dishes and they used a system of marking the menu sheet to order. Because of the sheet, the food come out together and on the same plate. Not a bad concept if you're comfortable sharing things with other people. The spicy is not much to write about. But the wasabi was so on point it gave the heat i needed. The hanarita cocktail is refreshing and has the right amount of lime to orange. I would come again because the people were kind and it has somewhat reasonable prices. It's a little hard to find but it's across the street from Al's.

Lunch bentos are a decent size, as are their sushi portions! Great for a quick lunch, especially being on the hill.

Not pictured, we also ordered the duck soba noodles and the scallops. Everything tasted delicious. I do wish that I had saved some of the soba for when the hamachi came out but I did order those later. I would have preferred the hamachi to come with a bit of rice on the side but my boyfriend didn't mind the salad. It's a great date spot and if we were to sit inside there's options for Japanese style floor seating. When you go inside they ask you to take off your shoes and provide slippers for the restroom. It feels very relaxing and home-y.

Izakaya's are Japanese bars that have quick bites and snacks to choose from. I was excited to see we were heading in. Once arrived on Sunday night we were greeted and welcomed. Asked if we would like to take our shoes off and walk in as in Japanese culture this is very common. It really felt like I was in a Japanese izakaya in Japan We ordered - Tofu Steak - Baked Salmon w/ ikura & rice - Duck Skewers - Salmon Carpaccio Everything was delicious and cooked well. I could have ate 2 bowls of the salmon. Everything is nicely sized but a good size to not get too full to order more. This location is combined with another sushi restaurant and it's cool to see the sushi being made in front of you. Will be back!!

Sushi joints aren't known for their cocktails but Japango takes it very serious. There are so many options on the menu it was hard to choose. I started with a fun spin on a Mai Tai called Mai-Tide. It was delicious and complex with some fabulous vacation garnish. Yes that is a seaweed strip. (Photo #1) My second was Yorokobi Joy, a spin on a Vieux Carre which is a classic whiskey/cognac recipe. It was boozy in all the best ways with some incredible ingredients. The first sip is the best because you're not ready for the herbal flavor explosion. The Japanese whiskey and cognac balance well with some wild flavors provided by a lovely Amaro (Cardamaro) and Saffron-Plum bitters. The kicker in a Vieux Carre is the Benedictine which glues all the amazingness together. Delish!! Because Japango is on Pearl and it was a football weekend, we had the perfect patio table on the sidewalk for the Friday night Stampede where the CU Buffs band and cheerleaders march down Pearl. What a great night. Go check out Japango when you make it to the always amazing Boulder. Salute . Of course we always take the bonito flakes which arrive dancing on top of the food, to wave in the escaping heat of the fresh seafood omelet. They have a roasted barley tea I love that has no caffeine as made without a decaffeinating process and so different than herbals common in Boulder. It has real substance. As we started to eat our pork gyoza and Ebi shumai we saw a lit candle in some food being carried across the room. Having eaten here baby times over the year, we were surprised as we had never seen this here. The entire restaurant broke in singing happy birthday to someone too far for us to see. As a server was passing our table, I mentioned we were celebrating my husband's birthday too. He said meh!d let someone know. As we were waiting for our dessert later, the owner who we've met before , with one of the servers who was carrying an ice cream mochi with a flaming birthday candle arrived and placed it in front of my husband and all the patrons broke out in sing again! Who knew this was a tradition here? The owner, who is almost always on the floor had an instant camera and too a picture of our table with the candle celebration. He made a copy for us to take home and one for nh husband to sign which will go up on some wall I had never noticed. We'll be sure to check in the walk the next time we are in. It's such a fun place with really good food. Do make a reservation these days. It's always busy, the now are only open Wed- Sat for dinner. As we were leaving on a very cold night, there weee people packed into the little entry way waiting for seats. One woman was shivering as she had just flown in from FL she said, unprepared for the recent shift back to winter today. Shocked me this morning too.

My favorite sushi was probably the salmon nigiri. It was extremely buttery and fresh. Also the eel was great. I wouldn't recommend the maki/rolls as much as the nigiri. They also had a lot of options that weren't sushi like ramen, salad, rice dishes, okonomiyaki, and more. Definitely some menu items you can't get at any Japanese restaurant. I would definitely recommend coming here.
