I came here with my friend and his son on a Saturday afternoon. I wasnt too hungry yet as I had a good breakfast and did a very minor hike/stroll around Chautauqua Park so only wanted something light to munch on. Boychik sells Mediterranean style food and when I saw what was on their menu, I knew exactly I wanted to eat here. I lovr Mediterranean style dips, I could eat this everyday. I chose the 3 dip option and got muhummara, babaganoush and whipped feta and asked for two servings of veggie and one serving of pita. Portion size was massive so I am glad I shared with my friends. My favorite was the muhummara, that was so good and my buddy was also like wow this is sooo good!! Babaganoush was ok for me and whipped feta didnt work for me. Veggies were great and the pita was the soft, pillowy ones, which I love! Staff were helpful and order came up quick. Guy ringing me up also told me that upstairs they have plates and cutlery so no need to have my dips wrapped to-go. Overall, great food here, take it upstairs and enjoy the views! Located in Avanti Food Hall, Boychik offers the typical Mediterranean options. We ordered chicken shawarma wrap, lamb gyro and shared a falafel plate as appetizer. While the portion is pretty decent, the price is slightly higher than other fast casual Mediterranean spots. The meats in the wrap were juicy and tender, the overall flavor was solid. I'm actually pretty impressed by the falafel. The falafel tasted very fresh, crunchy on the outside, moist, airy and crumby on the inside. Located inside the Avanti food hall. The food here was definitely lacking. The gyro was different as it definitely wasn't made with a pita and seemed more like a flour tortilla. The overall build of the "gyro" was odd as it wasn't properly layered. So one bite would be straight meat and more towards the bottom was just all tomato and cucumber. And the very bottom was just straight feta. The baba ganoush was awful in my opinion. It did not taste like smoked eggplant at all and more like a chickpea hummus and was topped with so many sesame seeds which was not needed. There was also a thick amount of residual oil in the bowl. The pita was the best part of this meal. The young man taking our order was great and friendly but the food is not that great. It was an easy and quick option rather than a sit down meal. So you definitely get what you pay for. read more

I had an interesting experience at this food hall counter in Boulder! The food was incredible. I highly recommend the dip trio! One pita for three dips isn't enough, though. But the service was where I had a problem. I put in a relatively large group order, and I was never asked if the food was for here or to go. When my name was called, I saw that the food was for here and asked for it to be packaged up to go. I was greeted with rudeness that I was very surprised by. It was their fault for not asking, and it wasn't a huge deal to me. But to be met with eye rolls was unacceptable. This same issue happened to multiple people who had also just ordered. It's fine to fix your process to ask that question, and I wasn't mad at them for assuming! But to be treated badly was an experience that guarantees I will never come back. read more

Just a quick update that the muhummara really stands out. The fresh warm pita and the chilled crunch of the walnuts, the herbal pop of the mint and cilantro on top and the creamy base of sweet peppers, sultanas and pomegranate molasses is a real treat. I serve if often to guests who always devour it. It may be hard to find in some other cities but try Mediterranean eateries wherever you are. I've had another version even in Boulder but is no longer available and the better one has survived. Lots of their other food are favorites too and though this is a single kitchen of a very casual food hall , you can count on the redness and quality. Good experience at the Boychik near our house at the Stanley Marketplace, happened to be at the Avanti in Boulder and decided to try it up here. It tasted even better than I remember with everything coming out fresh and quickly. Plate was loaded with hummus veggies and meat. Two pitas was the perfect amount as well to pair. The falafel was very good and definitely homemade. It was a heavy hand on the cilantro but it didn't over power the dish or anything. You do have to be careful of the green sauce as it is hot and it would have been better in the side of the falafels rather than on top. This place was fine. Last time we came to Avanti we saw someone with this exact plate and said we are definitely coming back to get that! It's so colorful and beautiful. But it really wasn't that great. I guess everything was fresh and nothing was bad but nothing was noteworthy. Just kind of fell flat. I've selected Boychik both times I've been to Avanti and it's been a perfect experience both times. The first time I got strictly dips then this last time around my friend and I split the gyro, hummus and whipped feta. Holy moly, they have food down to a tee here! The whipped feta was absolute perfection, even mote so when you got a bite with olives and onions that it's topped with, love that they give you the option of veggies or the fluffiest of fluffy pita bread to use as a vessel! Hummus, again, perfection is the word that comes to mind. With pita or veggies or fingers, we cleaned that contained completely! The gyro was small but mighty. My friend and I cut in half and along with the other goodies, it was more than enough to fill us up post hike! read more

This was one of the two spots my husband and I tried at Avanti food hall. We shared the Lamb Hummus Bowl. I love a hummus bowl and this one didn't disappoint. I don't know why more people aren't talking about this place! It has fantastic middle eastern food, beautifully plated, served quickly and price is fair. I had the falafel plate and the falafels were crunchy and perfect, the zhoug was a little spicy and perfect for dipping them in. Their hummus was some of the best I've tried and they give you so much of it, served with warm, soft delicious pita. You also get some flavourful cucumber tomato salad and a quinoa tabouleh salad topped with pickled red onions (better than traditional tabouleh if you ask me) P.S. you can park in the parking garage off of 14th and spruce and avanti will give you a code to cover the cost of parking (you do need to put in your credit card first but it won't charge you). Definitely recommend for easy free parking read more

Best falafel wrap I have had in a long time. Falafel was moist and flavorful, and wrapped with tomato salad, cucumber, Tahini and Zhoug, which is a spicy cilantro sauce (I had never tasted it before) that really gives each bite a burst of flavor and honestly took the falafel to another level. I had a taste of the Shwarma wrap which was very good as well. Boychik is Located in a cool food court on Pearl Street. If I lived closer I would eat here all the time. Came here after our hike in boulder around 4:30 on a Sunday. It wasn't too busy at this time. We got a parking space around the block and then walked. Inside the avanti is nice with lots of places to eat. I ordered the chicken wrap with a side of fries. I really enjoyed the wrap! It was pretty filling and the flavors worked well. The fries were good but the seasoning was a little strong. The prices were okay about ~$25 with tip after splitting the fries with my friend. Overall a good meal but I don't think anything super special read more

$17 gyro with a dry unheated pita that fell to pieces. Hardly any food in it and I'm still hungry. I get this is an expensive place but I'll hit the gyro stand down the street next time over this. The Chicken Shawarma Plate packed so much flavor! Each item had a different texture the chicken was tender and juicy, while the hummus and green sauce were creamy and had so much spice (not hot spicy), and the salad was fresh and crunchy! I would definitely come here again. Seating on the weekend is hard since it gets busy, and Avanti is pretty loud inside as well. read more

This restaurant is in a high-end food court with great multiple options outdoor seating even up on the roof. The food was fabulous! My wife had the lamb skewer, which is more like a cough, but it was delicious and I had the hummus bowl with lamb and it was a little bit spicy, which made it absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place multiple options. You could probably come here every day. read more

I love this place. As a middle easterner I can vouch for their authenticity and quality freshness. Their classic humus is tahini based and so creamy. Their falafel is crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. Medly of nice flavors in all their salads with plenty of crunchy texture. The pita is really fresh too. Stumbled upon the Avanti Food Hall for lunch and decided to go with BoyChik mediterranean. The guy at the counter gave me many recommendations, however I ended up ordering the Falafel Hummus Bowl. The food came out super quick! The hummus was extra creamy and the falafel was light and airy, similar to the texture of a doughnut. The bowl was topped with greens, pickled onions, and tomato cucumber salad. So good! The only drawback is the food hall gets quite busy!! It takes a while to grab a table, however it is well worth the wait. Highly recommend sitting up on the rooftop and taking in the amazing view. read more

Boychik chef, if you're reading this I just wanted to tell you that if your hummus was just a little less salty it would have been perfect, top notch! I got the hummus bowl with chicken shawarma and it was really good. It includes greens like arugula and parsley and I would prefer these green where cut to smaller pieces rather than putting them pretty much uncut in the dish. But the dish was very tasty anyway (like I said, the hummus could be less salty). My wife got a shawarma plate which was also very good. The pita is nice and fresh too. Since I live in Honolulu, Hawaii and there Greek food is hard to come by, so I jumped at the opportunity to eat at Boychik! It did NOT disappoint! The hummus might be the best I have ever had (sorry to my Greek Auntie) smooth creamy and well balanced flavor! The person who me also recommended the falafel. He said it was really good. I low key couldn't believe it, but I took a risk! He was not wrong. As a Gluten free person it is rare to find falafel. This has a nice crispy outside and warm perfectly moist inside! 10/10!!! The food was superb - didn't realize that it was in a "food court" kinda thing, but several small businesses all serving top notch food in the same area was a very pleasant surprise. The falafel was the best i can remember - crunchy outside and still soft inside - wow!! Overall / Recommendations: Been to tons of fast-casual Mediterranean spots and this place ranks up there with the best of them. Incredibly flavorful, perfectly proportion, and thoughtfully plated. If in the Avanti food market, would recommend starting here then trying Quiero Arepas. Or if you're with 2 people, get both and split (we did and it was the best choice I made all week, ha!) Chicken Shawarma Plate: Really, really flavorful and would 100% order this exact same thing again next visit. Only thing I'd change is to ask them to reduce the amount of hummus and replace that with an increased amount of quinoa or cucumber-salad. Bread was delicious and the perfect vehicle for dipping in hummus and/or serving as a mini-saucer plate to stack all other plate items on. Bonus Item: Ask for extra hot sauce on the side.
