Lentil soup

Yes yes yes!! Really good Arabic food! I think we ordered almost everything on the menu lol So first off it's a small small building w maybe 10 tables but that's okay. Our server was perfect! First we ordered hummus, baba ghanoush, Kibbeh and falafel and it all came with fresh hot bread. The hummus and baba ghanoush was perfect. I loved the Smokeyness with the baba. The kibbeh and falafel not so much. It tasted like it was prepared a while ago and then freezed. It wasn't that great for me. For my main dish I ordered the mix platter which came with lamb, chicken and beef. The chicken and beef was phenomenal and so tasty, juicy and tender. The lamb was not good at all. It was tough and had no flavor. I didn't eat it. It also came with rice that was so yum and fluffy. Overall I loved this place and will be back

Grape leave & hummus appetizer!!!!! Perfect amount for 2 people. Im Lebanese and these may beat my Sittos grape leaves!! So amazing 10/10

Staff was so amazing and gave great recommendations, the place was super clean & food came out super fast! The grapes and hummus are a perfect appetizer to split for two! My boyfriend and I are both Lebanese and we think that the grape leaf beat our sitto's! Highly recommend!!!!!

Tiny place with extensive menu, lunch specials M-F and excellent service. My companions recommended both the lamb and chicken kebabs. The pita was fresh and the hummus delicious. Outdoor seating also, for when the weather is fine.

Chicken Kebab plate

Wanted some Mediterranean food for dinner around Boulder and Yelped it. Ali Baba was close and had super solid reviews. It did not disappoint. We decided to eat in rather than take out. The restaurant is super basic, but all you need for a quick good meal. They definitely do a ton of take-out - probably 5+ people came to pick up take out during the hour we were there. Great service, Great Food. We got 2 Chicken Kebab plates and extra hummus. The prices were generally in line ($21 per plate), (also came with a salad and hummus - so not just a basic plate). The portions were huge!! We took 2 to-go boxes home. The Chicken was super moist with a great marinade. The rice had a really nice and unique flavor. Definitely recommend.

Delicious & Authentic! Best lamb cabob I've had in Colorado. Smiling faces and warm hearts in here.

Meat Lovers Combo

Was craving middle eastern food, and this spot did not disappoint! I got the meat lovers combo (because I do indeed love meat), and the lamb and beef were both excellent; the chicken was good but not quite the flavor profile I expected. We had hummus, tzatziki, and labneh as sides, and I wasn't sold on the tzatziki but the hummus was fantastic and I don't even like hummus. The restaurant itself was very busy and seemed a bit understaffed, but the hosts and servers were very nice and were definitely trying their best. I think if I'd ordered this as take-out, I would have given it another star.

Today my husband and I decided to try this place as we really like Lebanese/Mediterranean food. The lentil soup was really good! The rest of the food was ok, but I was really disappointed to have cilantro in the sauce (and I don't eat cilantro). My bad, I forgot to ask not to put cilantro in any of my my food. The service was ok, but not the best. Restaurant was almost empty but we didn't get the best service as in other same level restaurants. From good: for check-in you can get free baklava. But when I asked for it, I was told that I can get only if I'll right the review. Don't think I wanna eat at this place any more.

Safta - Whipped feta with oven fresh pita that stayed hot for a long time!

Safta

Five Points, Northwest

The buffet allowed me to try everything - and it's nothing like what you're picturing. There was constantly warm, fresh pita to try the hummus, whipped feta and tabbouleh. There was constantly fresh fruit out with honey yogurt that was to die for. While there was a ton of meats and cheeses to try from, the star of the show was the falafel. You can't miss trying it, it was the best falafel I've ever had. The vibes were great for brunch, and I highly recommend going for buffet style if you want to try a bunch of things on the menu.

No wonder this place is hard to get a reservation at and Michelin recognized. It is stellar!…read more The hotel it's in also has nice vibes. The restaurant has this nice open feeling to it with a full bar (you can order off the full menu if a solo or pair dining) and then plenty of tables. I recommend coming with a larger group if you can so you can try lots of things. Servers are nice and attentive. Obviously you have to try various hummus plates. The foraged mushroom and brussels sprouts were my favorite. I especially loved the jalapenos on the brussels sprouts one. The hummus itself was creamy and rich and the pita they bring is warm and fresh. The tabbouleh was fine but nothing spectacular and it says it has avocado in it but I didn't detect it. I love muhammara and theirs did not disappoint. The pickled vegetables were nice but I also love pickled anything. Absolutely make sure to get the bright green falafels. Probably my favorite of the night. Perfectly crispy exterior with a soft warm center that I'd eat over and over again. We ordered the duck but I was quite full so did not taste it. The only reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is the scallops were incredibly underwhelming and quite bland. The scallops themselves were cooked fine but no flavor and the pomegranate sauce didn't add much. There desserts were also just so-so.

The staff was so friendly, attentive, and very quick with our food. The salad was super refreshing, the hummus delicious and the pita warm. We got the falafel as an appetizer and the are perfectly done. My ground beef kebabs were fantastic and the chicken Kafka was so well done it fell right off the bone. The chia is a must and was so nice and warming with beautiful fragrance I was sad when it was gone. 100/10 would drive back from the other side of town!

We were welcomed in and chose a place to sit. After ordering our beverages we looked over the menu. We ordered the falafel appetizer. My husband went with the Gyro sandwich while I chose the Chicken Shawarma sandwich. We did not get the combos as we were not interested in having fries on this occasion. The falafel came out first and had a creamy dip on the side. I am not exaggerating when I say this was the best falafel I have ever had. Whenever I am at a Mediterranean restaurant, I always choose to get falafel as an appetizer or on the side. They were hot and crispy on the outside and delicate on the inside. So often falafel will be dry. This was not, I would absolutely get this appetizer again. My husband enjoyed his Gyro. It had the usual, meat, veg and tzaziki. We both liked the consistency of the pita bread. It wasn't super thick like some places. My sandwich was quite tasty. I would have liked a little more veg in there, but other than that it was quite good. I would like to come back and try some of their other dishes. The service was great. Our food came out swiftly. All in all, a really good experience.

Response to owner's comment:…read more There is a claim that Babajoon's quality is so much higher than all Mediterranean places to explain their exorbitant prices. I've had better quality Mediterranean food all from the following places that all sell their incredibly filling, fresh pita sandwiches for cheaper: - Sonny's Mediterranean #1 with hummus & tahini with falafel $12, chicken $14. Was one of the best pita sandwiches I've ever had and 100% fresh made ingredients, my wife couldn't even finish hers because of how full it was. My wife, the one that complained by how under filled and unsatisfying the chicken pita was at Babajoon's to your cashier who handed us food, who just walked away and did nothing. - Pita Central: an entirely make your own Pita sandwich place with owners having moved here from Greece recently, with imported pita from Greece and the best tzatziki I've ever had, with a chicken pita costing $13, falafel $9.50, Lamb&Beef $14. You can stand there and ask them to put more veggies and more veggies in your pita of whatever you choose. Excellent, fresh made mediterranean food from even better people, the owners will chat with you for literally 5 minutes after serving you. - Mumtaz: Chicken pita $13.50, with great friendly service. This place was so good I've told my wife we have to go back. The above 3 restaurants are just ones I've ate at in the past few months, all with much more filling portions, much more affordable, they don't charge $.75 for hot sauce and none of them had as dry or overcooked or seemingly microwaved chicken. Babajoon's has a better pita, but to charge for every last ingredient that gets added to my pita with a base price of $15 for a chicken pita with vegetables that looked sad and underfilled and 5 small pieces of chicken, something is wrong. A pita is supposed to look overflowing with veggies and meat or falafel and held together by paper. If you provided better food for value, I'd be eating at your place over and over. You're lying to me, yourself and your customers. You can delete your lies in your response, and I'll delete my comment and we can just move on.
