3.5 stars Pros: - location has good indoor and outdoor seating. - service is prompt and courteous, and ambience is ok if you're grabbing a quick meal. - price is decent - the falafels are made fresh and tasted good with the hummus. Cons: - the serving size seemed small, esp since the wraps had more lettuce than meat and sauces. - the taste of the rice dishes was good, but lacked that Mediterranean kick I expect from my wraps. Overall, I see the appeal and the location (close to the university and on the downtown strip) but the lack of flavor in the rice dishes left me wanting more.

*CELIAC / GLUTEN FREE REVIEW we noticed this little spot because of its accreditations (2023 & 2024 best in Boulder) and at first glance I was worried it wouldn't be safe to eat here - but I was pleasantly surprised! their fryer is dedicated GF, have GF pita available, and all of their sides are marked with allergens. The sides are the biggest risk of CC as some contain gluten and they're all next to each other - so eat to your comfort level. The meats are NOT GF. We got the falafel plate with GF pita, with dolmas and baba ganoush. The pita was the only miss here - everything else was great! I'm a super sensitive celiac and I did not get sick here.

Ambience: The atmosphere at Falafel King is fairly standard--nothing particularly special, but it's comfortable enough for a quick meal. Outdoor seating is available too. Service: The service was quick and efficient. Food: We had Falafel wrap and Turkey Shawarma The falafel wrap was fresh and well-prepared, a highlight of the meal. However, the turkey shawarma was somewhat disappointing, deserving a 2/5 rating. On the bright side, the tzatziki sauce and hummus were both quite good and complemented the meal well. Overall Ratings: Service: 4/5 Food: 3/5 Ambience: 3/5 Parking: None available.

The restaurant located in the Central Boulder. It is very busy city central. Pearl Street is famous street in the city. Many people enjoy the morning and evening walk here. We got their special - Jerusalem the three meat combo. This is a good combo because it come with mix green, feta cheese, rice and pita. You also can try all the shave meat from the traditional grill. Meat is good marinated spice. Quantity is good. The owner is very friendly. Good experience.

The food was great and the service too! As soon as we walked in we were greeted with tasters and a very nice guy.The ambience was fine, but the falafel took the cake. True to its name it was the best falafel i'd had! The baklava was also great

A very popular takeout lunch spot. An enthusiastic gentleman was offering samples. I think vegetarians would have a hay day with their large assortment of sides, which can come together for a satisfying meal. I was excited to see the rotisserie, and decided to go with the gyro platter with an added falafel side. For my other sides, I had the baba g. and hummus. I liked everything but was a bit disappointed with the gyro. They ended up splicing it in chip-like fashion and searing it . It became dry and slightly burnt.

Awesome falafel gyros. Best I've ever had. Service was quick, very friendly. Good prices. Simple atmosphere, just some tables, plenty spacious.

We have since ordered take out, but I probably wouldn't do that again. It's not packaged in a way that maintains the quality as much and the salads are packaged inside the hot meals instead of separately, so we didn't really get to eat that. However, their food, especially the kabobs of all meats, are delicious. Their hummus is top tier! They are also extremely friendly, with a very clean environment inside.

Lately, when I get hungry I tend to think of this cuisine. As if to say that I was led to it by some invisible force, like a magnet, I made a u turn to get on the east bound lane to rush to it. A small restaurant but on the outside, I sensed some authenticity. After taking a few photos of its exterior, I stepped inside with high anticipation. On Yelp, it's got a solid 4-star rating left by the past diners/takeouters. Sounds promising. A young lady upfront said a quick hi followed by a question "For here or to-go?" to which I said "to-go. The menu has a good selection of both small (appetizer) plates to entrees. Their menus are somewhat fancy booklet style. Depending on the item, there are some accompanying photos of them. I wanted at least a few items so I went with 1) Fava Beans ($9 from the Appetizer section) and 2) Vegetarian Lovers Combo ($17 from the Entree section.) And for the next 45 min (from Boulder to Denver) on a beautiful mid Sunday afternoon, I had go through a very agonizing time smelling the mouthwatering smell of the two dishes while I was fighting the traffic jam caused by an accident on 36. Once I was home though, I wasted no time to savor the two dishes. And this is how my early dinner went: 1) Fava Beans - this dish could utilize more seasoning. It's a little bland or I should say boring. On the positive note, it does taste clean and healthy. I do like simple in many cases where I abhor something that's oversalted. That said, this dish pass my taste test. At the same time, it's definitely not something I highly recommend. 2) Vegetarian Lovers Combo - I can comfortably say that this is a solid dish. There are two falafels that are triangular shaped (never seen them shaped like that). Both baba ghonouj and hummus are in the top two compartments portioned generously. In the main compartment, house salad, rice and tabbouleh are beautifully and carefully placed. One large pita bread that was cut in half was in a piece of foil separately so it wouldn't get soggy. Oh let's not forget, there was one grape leaf on top of the tabbouleh which I saved it for the last. When I finally ate it, I realized that this is/was the star item of the whole combo plate. I've eaten super oily grape leaves that are too soggy in oils but this was perfectly moist and yet not oily. Small and yet it was dense inside. Wish the plate came with two of them. A little suggestion I would like to make to the restaurant (so I hope the restaurant owner read this!!) These two dishes lasted for three meal occasions until dinner time next day. The value for the total price of $23 (before tax) is pretty hard to beat in this high inflation time especially in a city like Boulder. To me, this is a solid 4-star experience.

It's basically an elevated food hall with a few different restaurants, so it's perfect if you want something quick but still good quality. What I liked most is that you're not stuck choosing one place; my friend and I could each pick what we were in the mood for, and you can even mix and match from different spots. I got fish and chips from Rooted (upgraded to truffle fries for an extra charge) and a fresh lemonade from Boychik, and everything was delicious. Overall, a good option if you want variety and good food without a long sit-down meal.

From first glance, you could see that there's three floors of which the food court is on the first floor and you could sit on a second or third floor for better views. All the foods looked amazing, but I opted to go to rooted to try the fried chicken sandwich with fries. The ordering process was very quick and the food was made very fast as well. Upon first glance, the chicken looked hand breaded and fried, so it was definitely going to be good. I got the Nashville hot, but it wasn't hot at all. I did not taste any spice. That's OK though because it was very flavorful and delicious. It also had a slaw on top and the bun was very soft. I also love the fry on the french fries as it wasn't too heavy or too light. I would definitely come back and try other foods. It was quite busy for a lunch during a weekday, which is a great sign that it's high-quality. I also love a food hall, which is something I don't see very often so it definitely catches my attention when there is one available.

You will have to go through an app to pay for parking. This place only accepts cash. They do have an ATM on-site, if needed. As for the food and beer selection. Both were great. I was torn between the bison burger and the junk burger but decoded to go with the Junk Burger. It was literally cooked to perfection (well done chef!). As for the beer, they had 18 to choose from including two gluten free options. I could decide so I went with a beer flight which allowed me to sample several in my typical range of beers. Our server didn't seem too happy that we showed up today, the food took about 30 minutes to get to us and the fried pickles and the Cuban weren't very yummy, we didn't finish either. Disappointing. However the French fries WERE very yummy! And the wrap was unique and pretty good. It's a large space and it was easy to find a seat. The artwork is beautiful. Luckily we found street parking so that was easy too. It's a cash only restaurant (or local personal checks) and while it wasn't a problem, we had cash, we probably wouldn't have come here had we known that beforehand. Credit card sales shouldn't be the consumers issue.
