    Squid Ink Seafood Pasta Special

Had the Squid Ink Pasta special. So rich and delicious! Server recommended a glass of Falanghina to accompany it. Was a great pairing. Cute space. Friendly service! Beautiful day so I sat on their small patio out front. Will be back!

Red Cedar Bistro is conveniently located in central Longmont. Park in the parking lot behind the building in the public parking lots along Kimbark for convenience. We did not have a reservation but we were seated promptly because we were very early on a Friday evening. The decor is rustic and spare, and there are many tables in the large open space. We were immediately approached by a waitress and ordered a cocktail which was delicious and arrived quickly. We ordered an appetizer and enjoyed the shrimp very much! I am ecstatic to find authentic Mediterranean food near by! The food was outstanding! We really enjoyed our romantic dinner.

    Moroccan shrimp 10/10

Holy sh*t. This goes in my top 5 meals I've ever eaten. Everything from the service to the food was absolutely phenomenal!! Our sever, Zoey, was very educated on the menu and super kind. Everything we ate had so much flavor.. the salad was a perfect starter, followed by the Moroccan shrimp which I will be trying to recreate at home until I perfect it. The green chile hummus?! Hell yeaahhhh. I'll be seeing the falafel wrap in my dreams. Very fresh farm to table ingredients and you can definitely taste it. Not pictured was the specialty cocktail I ordered, 5th & Main. Perfect balance of bourbon and apricot! Thank you Zoe for everything, I wish we lived in the area because this would be a frequent visit!

Winter Harvest salad, Carrot bisque (soup of the day)

All the flavors - so scrumptious! We had the Carrot bisque soup (exceptional), Winter Harvest salad (the candied pecans lightly roasted & crispy -heaven!), the gyro (superb) and the spanakopita with ratatouille... so flaky & yummy! The drinks (Violet 75-outstanding) were professionally mixed with just the right sweetness & dryness. The service was also wonderful - very attentive and They even asked about the timing of our dishes coming out to ensure we weren't rushed. Great atmosphere too with olive trees, rustic decor... it was like we were in Crete! We will be back!

Ambiance: excellent for breakfast or brunch with friends, working solitary on your laptop, having a quick sandwich on the rooftop patio, or a work meeting (in-person would be nice because the velvet couches are legit). I really liked the attention to details (such as the hooks for hanging a purse under the countertop). Cool decor and the vibe is like somebody oversized den, but instagram-worthy, you know? Check out the little store; they have cookbooks, cards, adorable kitchen towels and such, preserves and so on!

The employee who assisted me at pickup seemed rushed and not very welcoming, which left me feeling hurried out the door before I had a chance to properly inspect the cake. When I got home, I was disappointed with the decorating quality. The fishing-themed design looked rushed, the writing was uneven, and the overall presentation did not look like what I would expect from a custom cake at this price point. After cutting into the cake, I found it to be dry and it left an unpleasant aftertaste. While the cake appeared to be the correct flavor, the quality and taste did not meet my expectations. I also reached out directly to the bakery in an attempt to resolve the issue before leaving a review. Unfortunately, I never received a response. I would have appreciated the opportunity to discuss my concerns and find a resolution, but my email went unanswered. For $67, I expected a much more polished cake, better quality, and better customer service. Based on my experience, I would not order from this bakery again

It is worth the experience to visit this extraordinary shop! The building was formerly the Power & Communications Building, which Cheese Importers took over in 2012. The shop is gorgeous, and the buyers are fantastic, stocking it with so many beautiful items that you will not easily find in other shops or online. The staff is friendly and informative. The prices are very high, and I don't recommend buying items you can find in your local grocery store or gift shop, but if you find interesting, unique, and beautiful items that you love, then it is worth spending the money, in my opinion. This is a great place to find exceptional gifts, especially for someone who likes to entertain. Must take home a fresh French baguette and some caramels!
