Burrata
Roland H.

Decent new restaurant. Tasty cocktail at the bar and friendly service both at the bar and at the dinner table. Cocktails were great. Background music was barely audible. Started with a Prosciutto special order (not the salad); Burrata, Steak Frites and Coq au Vin good but not exceptional. Chicken portion was a little modest. Ordered a bottle of Campuget Rose but they were out so they brought bottle of a bottle of Moulin de Gassac which wasn't on the list. Menus not on the website, which is unfortunate. Taking into account that they are still new all in all it was a good visit. Will give them another couple months to get their ducks in a row then try again.

Pub Burger with fries

We used to go to the restaurant that had this space before and miss it. But we were excited to finally try Duets, especially because we have yet to find a burger we both enjoy in Longmont. My husband is particular because he's worked in restaurants. We went last evening for dinner during happy hour after my husband got off work. It took a while for the server to come over. She appeared to be the only one in our half of the restaurant. It was not very busy, still, if they can't attend to customers right away, they should have another server. She didn't seem very engaged with anyone. Just going through the motions. My wine came quickly but she forgot my husband's club soda until our burgers arrived and he reminded her. Speaking of the burgers, it took longer than expected to get them. The hostess had told me earlier when I stopped to get a menu that they have a new chef this week, so perhaps he/she is still getting familiar. She also told me that they will be tweaking the menu. Hopefully they will post it online since I had to go there to get one. And hopefully they complete their website. I looked there and also found a Facebook page, but no menus. Just pictures which doesn't tell me anything. We asked for 'medium' cooked burgers and they were medium rare, which I like, but my husband wanted actual medium, just a little pink. So I was happy but he wasn't. The burger seemed bigger than the 6oz it said on the menu, which was great. The fries were mostly good, but some were a bit soggy. The lettuce was fresh, pickles good. The onion seemed cut from an edge, so had too much tough skin for my liking, but at least they were thin. There was a stray brown glob. I still don't know what it was. Our waitress never checked on us, so I called over the hostess who was more personable anyway. She thought it might have been mushroom, which comes on a different menu item, so that shouldn't have happened, right? As far as atmosphere, the layout looks the same as the previous restaurant, but updated. So, it has cleaner lines. I used the ladies room and it is nice, upscale, except for one oddity, the toilet paper holder looked old and chipped. So yes, this review is mixed. Not sure we will go back. The burger is a good deal, but to spend our hard earned money these days, the service and food should be better than this. And we continue to look for the best burger.

Inside of Duets.

We went to Duets when it was the deli not the bistro. It has deli items for lunch and an expanded bistro menu for dinner. First off, the service was wonderful. Our waitress was really friendly and attentive. She came back several times to see if we needed anything. She brought us to-go boxes and the check in a timely manner. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Sandwich. Instead of the usual bagel, it came on a baguette. It had a generous serving of smoked salmon (lox) plus cured cucumbers and cream cheese. I did not want the red onions. I thought it was tasty. My guest ordered the Tuna Salad Sandwich. She said it was delicious, but the serving size of tuna was really small for the $14 price. The sandwiches are served with your choice of Boulder Canyon chips. The interior was clean and attractive. They had comfortable booths and an outdoor seating area. There is plenty of free parking. I liked my sandwich, but my guest was not impressed with the amount of food in her sandwich. I would like to see what the place is like at night for the bistro food choices.

Duets Bistro and Deli is a hidden gem in Longmont. From the moment you walk in, the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel right at home. The food? Outstanding. Everything is made with care, fresh ingredients, and creative flair. I had the Rueben, and it was honestly one of the best I've ever had--flavorful, and satisfying without being too heavy. The side salad was crisp and fresh, with a house-made ranch dressing that was chef's kiss. The team enjoyed sitting at the bar with the doors opened. Support local and give them a try--you won't be disappointed!

Nappoli sandwich and iced tea

This deli serves primarily sandwiches. I had the Nappoli on a baguette which is prosciutto, Brie, apple chutney, arugula and hot honey. I also tried the Caprese and a mixed vegetable sandwich which were also very good. I had iced tea which was very strong which is exactly how I like it. Everything was fresh and well prepared. My husband said the vegetable sandwich was the best sandwich he ever had. The service was excellent and the restaurant is clean and vibrant. We'll be back to try more!

Lovely restaurant/bar in Longmont. I've been here a couple of times and it is a nice place to relax and enjoy good food. I like the way the restaurant is designed The decor is quite lovely. The food is good and the staff are friendly.

Our sandwiches were tasty, generous portions, and served by friendly people. The brownie and rice crispy bar we got were OK, but not great.

My husband has lived in Longmont for two decades, and I've been here for 5 years, but neither of us had ever gone into the store. Since we were already in the shopping center to try a new place yesterday, we went to Frank's afterwards. Bottom line, we've finally found our favorite deli in the area. If it wasn't snowing today, we'd go back for a sandwich. Since we weren't immediately hungry, we instead looked over the meat selection and then zeroed in on the deli counter. I purchased just a few sample items. A bagel (they say it's a NY bagel, and it does have the right texture! Just wish they had whole wheat); whitefish salad (better than any others I've encountered in the area); cole slaw (perfectly blended - not too watery, not too dry); and a canoli, which was flaky and sweet. The deli items have an East Coast feel like no other in the area that I've encountered. Better than anything I found in Lakewood, where I lived before. And, since we just got back from a visit to my Dad in Florida, this was a welcome sight! The soup they had as a special, as well as the sandwich special descriptions sounded yummy, so we will go back, maybe this weekend. The meats also look good, so we will likely try some in the weeks to come. Again, I wish they could somehow create a place, even outside, where we could sit to eat. We could then eat right away instead of having to go home first. But even with that inconvenience, we look forward to more encounters. The young man who helped us doesn't know much yet about the choices, but I'm sure if he stays there, he'll learn. He was pleasant and helpful, asking another employee when he didn't know an answer. It's already busy there, but yes, I recommend going and waiting to try their goods! It's worth the wait.

I paired it with a 24 oz iced latte, smooth and strong, and a bag of Boulder chips. Everything hit the spot. The place itself is half the reason to come. Old wood floors, exposed beams, shelves of local snacks and treats, homemade pies, and a patio with bright teal chairs out front. There's a William James quote on the wall about being like islands connected in the deep that sums up the friendly, unhurried feel of the place. Staff were welcoming and quick. Better bread, better cold cuts, even the pickle on the side is better, Fuhgeddaboudit! Yo Vinny, let's you and me head over to Snarf's and try the "Italian". "Yeah, right... I bet the standard toppings come with mustard, geeze! Fuhgeddaboudit! Yeah, Fuhgeddaboudit!".... And SCENE!!! Not sure what that all means, but I actually am from New York, am a legitimate sammie snob, spent time in Sandwich, MA, and LOVE Snarf's Italian Sub. And while I may be judging it on the handicapped Colorado sandwich rating scale which gives it an additional half star per side, it's still a damn good sandwich! I always go with the "Novice", it's perfectly short, and densely packed with lots of thinly sliced Italian meats, provolone, lettuce, tomato & onion. Their grinder-style oven ALWAYS gets the sandwich nice & hot. Yes, the bread can sometimes get a bit dry & crispy, but it often is a nice textural contrast to the juicy sandwich filling. Finally, two things that put it over the top: #1. a perfect mélange of oil & vinegar AND mayo. Yep, gotta have 'em all to make the magic just right! And #2. Their amazing proprietary blend of Hot giardiniera peppers. The best mix I've possibly ever had-- including NYC! One SIDE NOTE (and I'm being totally serious): Yes, if you order ALL THE TOPPINGS, you'll get mustard. So please, do me a favor, and DON'T get mustard on your Italian hero, Fuhgeddaboudit! Other favorite sandwiches that I have enjoyed at Snarfs locations in Boulder over the last 25+ years: the Meatball (extra parmesan), the Prime Rib & Provolone (mayo only), and the Turkey & Swiss (extra Swiss, of course). Are these fancy frou-frou sandwiches? Definitely not... but they're my favorite old school subs in Colorado, and I'll keep coming back again & again!

Being a 6 week resident of Longmont, I'm so glad I found this deli yesterday! It sure beats driving down to Denver. All the bagels and bialys are from H & H in New York. All the smoked fish is from Acme Smokehouse in Brooklyn. The knishes and pickles, also from NY. Considering all this is shipped from NY, the prices are very reasonable! Besides all the NY deli items are regular sandwiches, wraps, soups, etc. for other folks. The inside is small; maybe 4 tables and a couple outside. The one girl working behind the counter was a doll. You really feel like you're in a NY deli when you walk in. The refrigerated case is filled with all my favorites...veal parm, knishes, smoked salmon, whitefish, potato salad, etc. They even had the black and white giant cookies, big chewy brownies, and chocolate eclairs. Eggcreams and halavah are also on the menu. A big jar of duck sauce and kosher dills also for sale in the store! I had an onion bagel with whitefish and it was out of this world. My husband had bagels and lox and it was also wonderful. Right now the store is located at 9th and Coffman right next to Your Butcher Frank, but the girl said they will be moving to 15th and Main by Sept 1st as their lease is up.
