Oh, what a joy it is to be one of those impossibly pompous sandwich snobs from NYC. You've heard it all before, "Hey, the sandwiches in New York are just better in every way! Better bread, better cold cuts, even the pickle on the side is better, Fuhgeddaboudit! Yo Vinny, let's you and me head over to Snarf's and try the "Italian". "Yeah, right... I bet the standard toppings come with mustard, geeze! Fuhgeddaboudit! Yeah, Fuhgeddaboudit!".... And SCENE!!! Not sure what that all means, but I actually am from New York, am a legitimate sammie snob, spent time in Sandwich, MA, and LOVE Snarf's Italian Sub. And while I may be judging it on the handicapped Colorado sandwich rating scale which gives it an additional half star per side, it's still a damn good sandwich! I always go with the "Novice", it's perfectly short, and densely packed with lots of thinly sliced Italian meats, provolone, lettuce, tomato & onion. Their grinder-style oven ALWAYS gets the sandwich nice & hot. Yes, the bread can sometimes get a bit dry & crispy, but it often is a nice textural contrast to the juicy sandwich filling. Finally, two things that put it over the top: #1. a perfect mélange of oil & vinegar AND mayo. Yep, gotta have 'em all to make the magic just right! And #2. Their amazing proprietary blend of Hot giardiniera peppers. The best mix I've possibly ever had-- including NYC! One SIDE NOTE (and I'm being totally serious): Yes, if you order ALL THE TOPPINGS, you'll get mustard. So please, do me a favor, and DON'T get mustard on your Italian hero, Fuhgeddaboudit! Other favorite sandwiches that I have enjoyed at Snarfs locations in Boulder over the last 25+ years: the Meatball (extra parmesan), the Prime Rib & Provolone (mayo only), and the Turkey & Swiss (extra Swiss, of course). I've been going to Snarfs for years. Tonight I spent $40 on two sandwiches and one of them was a tuna melt with peppers. The sandwich was mostly bread and peppers with a bit of tuna and cheese. So disappointing!! Not going back. Someone else deserves my money if they want to rip me off. read more

Snarf's is a super great sandwich stop - for sit down or pickup :-). We were there with our grandchildren 3&5, and the staff were very accommodating for ingredients that they liked. I've generally had a decent experience every time I've gone here. In terms of food quality, the sandwiches are delicious and it's just about what you'd expect from a sandwich/sub shop. I generally order the Prime Rib w/ Provolone with everything on it and add a side of au jus. Pretty damn tasty. See photos. What knocked the review down for me is that several times when I've come in with coworkers for lunch, the tables are not wiped down and place looks like a mess. I'd rate a little higher if the location looked a bit more presentable and was a nicer place to eat in, but generally speaking we prefer to order out or have the food delivered. read more

Pretty consistently good. Every now and then they add/forget something on the sandwich order, but i primarily order during lunch rush so it is totally understandable - no place is going to be perfect. I typically don't write reviews but someone at Snarfs needs to aware of what an employee was discussing with other employees while I was in here. The employee pictured talked about how terrible his supervisor is for about 20 minutes. Every other work was the F word. Made the experience pretty bad. A closed door conversation would have been a better option for his conversation instead out in the open. read more

I ordered from this place using a delivery app, have done so twice now. I had their version of a cheesesteak, both times...because, well....it was delicious. I also got a cookie and a Mexican Cola delivered with it. The cookie was tasty, and you can't really go wrong with a Mexican cola. When asked what kind of tuna is in the tuna salad, I was told both the white and the pink were albacore. I told them there is no such thing as pink tuna. They asked if I wanted them to look. So I thought I ordered from another location. When I got to the location I was ordering from they were legit hiding from me since they had closed and I was wondering how I was gonna get my sandwich. After calling them a GM named David picked up and after being a rough customer (my bad) he explained I was at the wrong location. I was so embarrassed but David handled it so well. The sandwiches are pretty good, however I won't ever be returning because of the service. This is what happened last night: My dad went to pick up the sandwiches I had ordered online. No other customers were in the shop- just the two employees behind the bar. My dad said he was picking up and the employee said "I'm working on those right now, they'll be out in a minute." So my dad sits down to wait. 5 min later he looks up from his phone and the employees are nowhere to be found. He gets up and calls out for an employee and the employee says again, "can I help you?" To which my dad repeats, "I'm here to pick up..." And the employee says, "oh yeah, they're right there" and points over to the bag on the counter. My dad says "I can't believe you knew I was waiting for those and you didn't say anything." ...to which the employee SHRUGS and says nothing. I had a very okay experience here. I waited about 15 minutes for my veggie sub--it wasn't anything special. The bread was nice and soft but they could've loaded the veggies on more, and offered more options. I liked that they had Zapp's chips because the Voodoo flavor is delicious. We picked up sandwiches for the next day's hike. The sammys were really good. We had a turkey, a ham and two Italians. The staff is really super friendly and I enjoyed the vibe in the shop. This place is snarfin' good. Too cliche? Perhaps. But really, this place is pretty darn good. Toasted bread (although a bit heavy), friendly waitstaff, and great tasting meat/toppings. How good, you might ask? I would normally never order a veggie sandwich. I've ordered the veggie multiple times on multiple occasions. Straight win. But really, my colleagues and I have tried so many of their sandwiches (italian, rotisserie chicken, buffalo chicken, veggie, prime rib, veggie, etc.) and none of them have "missed". The only complaint that someone could possibly have is that the 7'' sandwich runs about 7.85 for a "regular" sandwich and maybe 9? for the "specials". Overall, pretty legit sandwich spot though and definitely worth eating. I have never been here before but I tried it today and loved it enough to come on here and tell you why. These sandwiches are better than any I've had before. I had a pastrami with all the normal toppings and it was amazing. There was just enough meat and veggies and it tasted better than any I've had before . I definitely recommend the pastrami now because of how wonderful it was . On top of that the customer service is on point and me and my husband felt very comfortable in this environment. We got our sandwiches within ten minutes of ordering, which was very impressive since they looked pretty busy. The staff was very upbeat and they looked like they were having a good time instead of where you might go other places and they look like they'd rather be anywhere else than working. If it is one thing that Jerry Bagel enjoys, it is a great Deli Sandwich. Having grown up in the greater Chicagoland area, I used to go to this old Italian grocery store where all the shelves were stacked clumsily with Gnocci and San Martino Tomatos and such. The whole family worked there, they made these great sandwiches piled with meat and the ever-present Giardiniera which is rarely seen outside of the Chicagoland area (usually Serrano peppers, celery, little pieces of carrots marinated in oil and seasonings), these sandwiches are testaments to the creativity of both forced and deli meats. I still daydream about those sandwiches. Snarf's offers a token of that delicatessen greatness. Although, like Subway and every other "sandwich joint" in the country they hide a thin layer of meat under a pile of veggies and stuffing to hide the lack thereof: this particular Snarf's folds the meat in half to make you THINK "hey, this is double the meat I get at Quizno's/Subway/Firehouse/Shlotzky's" it isn't. You may ask, "hey Jerry, why do you give this place four stars?" I will get to it, because the service at this particular Snarf's moves at a glacial pace, can't tell you how many times it took over 15 minutes to get my sandwich, which kinda sucks when you have a 1/2 hour for lunch. As consumers, we have become content by being cheated out of deli meat on our sandwiches, you all know it, but like me you go to these places hoping "maybe today, I will get that 1/8 pound of meat!" turns out you are gonna get nine slices total of anything. Why four stars, because when I take a bite of this sandwich, I always get the "Snarf's Italian" I can close my eyes and imagine, for a second, that I am at that Chicago deli. For that, I give them four stars. I will continue, to eat at this Snarfs because I usually leave a little happier than I did when I entered. read more
