We are back once again to aunt Alice's! My first review from a few years ago is still here so check that out too! Two years ago we finished our 2nd cross country road trip by driving 5 hours out of the way to come here for breakfast. It was 100% worth it. This year, we drove 6 hours extra to make this our final stop of the road trip. Once again, it was phenomenal. We got our food in under 5 minutes, and everyone was so kind and sweet. They do not have the pancake sandwich like before, but she told me how I could make it off the current menu! If you are within an hour of Aunt Alice's and looking for an amazing restaurant (we swear by it being the best in the country) you gotta stop by! They are also on Americas best restaurants for Colorado, which they should have been for at least the last 3 years!! read more

Love this place! I have never visited an establishment where everyone working there are always happy and seems to honestly enjoy working there! Seated right away, waitress was attentive and friendly. Food came out quickly and was tasty.

Food is not good anymore, always the same stuff with almost no flavor. The waitress are snobby and when your plate isn't what it should be and they take it back they will talk to other employees to where every employee is now looking over at you talking, pointing, rolling thier eyes ex. Had a really bad experience this evening. My friend and his kids took me to Aunt Alice's Kitchen to get their famous banana split as a celebration. The waitress had food all over her clothes on her belly. I was seated at a booth and when she came to wait on us her food stained clothes were right at my eye level. Then the guy making the banana splits was leaning over them as he was making some other items allowing the front of his shirt to touch the banana splits. It was so gross. My friend complained. The waitress walked away then returned saying she talked to the owner who said we will re-train the employee and that they wouldn't charge us for our order. But they would not remake the order and we were to leave. It was completely insane. Not going back. read more

Our daughter convinced us to broaden our Sunday morning breakfast rotation and we had our first visit at Aunt Alice's. I was a little skeptical with the 3.5 star rating. But we were pleasantly surprised. It's a classic diner vibe, but very clean, open and bright. Servers were fast and friendly. Portions were huge and the food was very good. Hash browns were perfectly crispy. Pancakes were perfect. The cinnamon roll was the size of 4 normal rolls, but super light and airy texture that went down fast. We'll be back for sure. read more

We went there for breakfast. Our favorite restaurant was closed for the holiday so we decided to give this place a try. I had been there many years ago and it was dirty and dingy so I haven't been there since. I thought maybe they've improved and gave them another chance. The food was ok, not great. The service was good. Fox News was playing on the TV. It was cleaner than I remembered. But I won't be recommending it to my friends. There are too many other great restaurants in Longmont to bother with this one. read more

Really great diner! I wasn't sure what to expect because the outside is fairly basic. They have the traditional diner breakfast food which we love. I got the veggie omelette with hash browns and two pancakes. Everything was cooked perfectly. I would have liked a little more seasoning (not salt) on the hash browns. I tried my partner's French fries and they had an amazing taste. The hash browns could have used a little of that pizzazz. The waitstaff was attentive and efficient and the atmosphere was inviting. read more

Aunt Alice's Kitchen is what you imagine a homey American Diner to be. We were seated relatively quickly though they were super busy, possibly lunch rush around 11:30am. There was a short wait before the waitress took our order but we weren't in a rush. None of us dared to try the breakfast burrito challenge because we had an event later that evening. I had the patty melt and my boyfriend had a steak plate. Patty melt was pretty standard, lots of grilled onions. I asked for fries well done just in case and they delivered but I ended up taking that home because I got full pretty quickly. read more

The country fried steak skillet is delicious. Sunny side eggs over country fried steak, country potatoes, and veggies. First time here this morning enjoyed my breakfast so much I will sure return next time I am in town. I added some Cholula however didn't really need it flavor all there. The aunt who wants to kill you for the inheritance money maybe. I ordered a ribeye, medium, should be fairly simple. I don't know what they did to it but I feel bad that an animal died to be turned into that. The thing was pounded flat and just sort of grey and anemic, under seasoned, swimming in some kind of off-color gravy presumably meant for the mashed potatoes. I admittedly ordered on DoorDash but the thing also came cold. I sure wish they'd slim down their menu and do a few things well instead of having a massive menu this sub standard. A very laid back diner style restaurant that has good food, nice portions, good prices, and I ALWAYS stop for pie when passing by. Luckily I don't live in Longmont because I'd become a regular. The reason for the 3 stars instead of 5 is the run down feeling of the tables, booths, floors, carpet, and general clutter of the place. We were camping at St Vrain's and went uptown Longmont to Aunt Alice's Kitchen for late lunch, on a Sunday afternoon. It had a very homey atmosphere, and was busy. We got seated right away in a booth. The restaurant has been there a long time, and the furniture and carpet showed, but everything was clean. Wife ordered the turkey special, and I ordered the Spanish omelet. The omelet with sour dough toast was very good. The hash browns came in a large serving. My wife's turkey and mashed potatoes were covered with a good tasting brown gravy. Her cranberry sauce still had the marks of the can on it, and the green beans were also from a can. But it was good. Her orange hot tea was very good and aromatic. I recommend this restaurant. read more

No consistency!! Every time I order, it's totally different as far to what the order looks like, the way it's put together, whether you get sides that one waitress says comes with it and actually comes wit it. The size changes! This is so annoying! I usually do takeout and when I get home, I'm almost always disappointed and upset with this! I am so darn sick of this! Terrible. I called at 3pm Saturday to make a reservation for 8 people for 9am Sunday. Natalie took our reservation. We spoke to her twice. When we showed up at 8:45 on Sunday morning, my dad was told they don't take reservations...BY NATALIE! So now they're telling us "they'll take care of it," but they only have one big table. So take care of it means we sit and wait until those people are done or we leave. I have no issues with restaurants that don't take reservations, but big ones with restaurants that take reservations and then claim they don't! So I changed my one star to a 4 star because Amanda saved the day! Once we were seated, she went out of her way to be awesome and the food was good.
