delicious food I had a Benedict and a chai Husband, whose mother is a British immigrant, had the full English. Great servers. Very attentive and patient with us old folks telling our stories. But someone was using a very loud juicer the entire time we were there. server said he would be done soon but I have autism and it was torture. I should've brought my noise canceling headphones, but I always feel weird wearing those and can't chew with them on. Maybe someone who has autism will open a restaurant that is QUIET. We were celebrating my husband surviving heart surgery. As I say, great food, amazing servers, but I had to leave before finishing my meal due to the absolute agonizing pain causing-noise. read more

Tangerine is a cute spot in a great location right on Main St. The inside feels bright and new. Definitely not the "old diner" vibe a lot of other breakfast spots seem to exhibit. My family and I went on a Friday morning around 10am and were seated immediately without a wait. The food was just okay. Our group ordered the Eggs Your Way (with Bacon), Full English Breakfast, Corned Beef Hash, and the Tangerine Breakfast Combo. The Eggs Your Way and Tangerine Breakfast Combo are pretty standard breakfast restaurant offerings. Eggs, Meat, Potatoes, Toast. Decent and did their job. The Full English Breakfast wasn't great. The person who ordered it said it was unseasoned and unimpressive. We've had a Full English in the UK - and this is no where near the real deal. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash. It was ok. Flavor-wise, it was seasoned well. However, the corned beef was cut into large cubes. Approximately the same size as a breakfast potato. I wasn't a fan of this rendition. I prefer when it's finely chopped or shredded. This version didn't really feel like a hash. Definitely got the impression this place is hit or miss. Not sure I'd come back personally, but overall it wasn't terrible. read more

Love there is a vegan option. The Vegan is colourful, lots of variety. Love mushrooms, crispy potatoes and tempeh and a couple of flavourful sauces. Would have liked a bit less oil in the dish. For me, more oil does not mean more flavor; it means more slime. Was having a LOVELY quiet little lunch for one, in the restaurant which was slowing down to close. 85% of the tables were empty. The host made the choice to sit two people on a "let's get to know each other" work date, at the table right next to me. PLENTY of empty tables in the joint. One table over would have been amazing. My relaxing lunch was over as I had no interest in being in the middle of their "let me tell you about my childhood" conversation. Slow Thursday. . . Not a Saturday or Sunday when all tables are jumping. read more

Always a solid choice for brunch. Indoor and outdoor seating. 2 menus, breakfast and lunch. Saturday mornings can be busy but our party of 3 was seated right away. Tried the pumpkin caramel latte, just because. I'm not a big pumpkin person, this drink was fine. It was a little on the sweet side and honestly would have benefited from less whipped cream. I got the. Hold your own omelette with sourdough toast. I like that it wasn't a ridiculous large amount of food. The omelette was cooked perfectly and the jams for the toast were just right. The server was pleasant and attentive. read more

We went early on Sunday morning with our 2.5 yer old and had a great breakfast experience from starry to finish. Our server, Alex was friendly, prompt and attentive. I had the specials-orange vanilla cappuccino and Melba peach French toast and my husband had the Reuben Eggs Benedict and everything was delicious. We can't wait to go back! read more

The ambience is cute. A lot of breakfast spots have a similar aesthetic these days and this was in line with that, but it was still inviting and clean. The food was beautiful. My mom ordered the bacon and avocado Benedict. It looked great and she enjoyed it. I ordered the Tangerine Combo with the pear French toast. It sounded amazing on the menu and was very pretty when it arrived, but unfortunately it wasn't my favorite. The bacon and home fries were overcooked, and both the home fries and eggs were bland. The French toast itself was okay and served warm-ish, but what really threw it off was the pear sauce. It was cold, very cold. I understand food safety considerations, but the cold sauce brought the entire dish down in temperature. It made the toast cold, and the cinnamon butter on the side couldn't melt even if I could add it-not really sure how I would have added it with the sauce. I had expected something more like warm, caramelized pears rather than a pear version of apple sauce. To be fair, the menu description wasn't very detailed, and I didn't ask clarifying questions. I made an assumption about how it would be served, so I take ownership of that. I ended up just eating half of it, as I'm not someone who typically sends food back or makes a fuss having worked in the industry myself before. The part that really impacted our experience was the service at the end. My mom noticed I wasn't thrilled with my dish and quietly tried to share feedback with the waitress. We weren't asking for anything to be comped or replaced. She simply wanted to pass along the feedback. Unfortunately, the waitress repeatedly interrupted her and seemed more focused on fixing a "problem" than listening. My mom couldn't get even a few words in. The waitress was very defensive and I'd say a little aggressive in her communication. When my mom softly suggested she calm down because she wouldn't let her speak, the waitress responded loudly, "Did you just tell me to calm down?" We paid and left shortly after. It was disappointing because the atmosphere was pleasant and my mom enjoyed her meal. I may have been more understanding if the restaurant was busy, but there were fewer than six tables occupied and several servers on the floor preparing for the morning rush that would start in a few hours. Overall, it just wasn't the best start to our day. In the end we just left feeling embarrassed and confused at how things ended up. read more

First and last visit. Initially sat up front but we were swarmed by flies. There's nothing about breakfast that ever warrants a $60 bill (with tip) for 2 people. There was zero mention of up charges for vegan eggs, hazelnut flavor, or soy milk. All of those add up. Tack on a surcharge plus tip and it was $60. There's almost $7 in additional fees and up charges. That's the cost of breakfast in some places. It won't happen twice. read more

Food was delicious! So many things we wanted to try on the menu. We will definitely be back.

I have been to Tangerine a couple times - a few times for brunch when it first opened years ago, and this past week for lunch. There's a reason I don't go regularly, but it's a reliable spot for what it does well and prices are reasonable enough to visit regularly if you wanted. It's a cute little space with lots of small tables, which is nice because it feels intimate (it's also a small space and well used in this way). They have good sound deadening so it's not particularly loud even when full. The food is pretty good. I ordered the portobello sandwich this past time and it was incredibly tiny looking; not a lot of food for the price. It's served on sliced bread and is just puny! Sounds great on the menu, but boy do I wish I'd taken a picture. Could have been a PB&J. The fries were soggy like they hadn't been prepped properly (they should be twice cooked when fresh cut), but they were fresh cut so I'll give that to them. My sister ordered a side pancake and it is a legit pancake! It took up an entire 12" plate. She also ordered an egg dish and they were cooked well. I recall previous visits enjoying how well the eggs were cooked as well. They are definitely a brunch and breakfast spot, and I likely won't order from the lunch menu again (or I'll look around the room first to see if any other sandwiches look as weenie as my bello). Service pace is decent. We were touched frequently and water did not run out. A little slow when it was time for the check but that's alright. They were able to split for us based on how we ordered, or they could have done halfsies. Watch out for the tip defaulting to 30% in the POS. read more

Visiting and my son choice this place based on other experience. We enjoyed the cheerful decor. The service was amazing, she was pleasant though we had many questions about the menu... this is not the usual breakfast options we were accustomed too. We all enjoyed our food. read more

Was at this establishment regularly for a few months, and had ordered out a bunch from the branch in Boulder years ago. On my most recent visit they decided that since I was tipping less than the recommended amount, they snuck a 6+ person gratuity charge on the bill, when I normally dine out alone. When I asked about it they claimed that they are doing this because I didn't tip enough. Even if a restaurant has great food, if any of their wait staff decides to do this conduct, I cannot trust the establishment with their money. If you do not like a customers' conduct such as not giving enough tips *please* talk with them directly about it. Don't try to violate my trust by adding fraudulent charges to my bill. I am writing this review to advise visitors to be on their guard, and to alert any business owners that are unaware of this conduct in their wait staff. read more

Service great friendly staff. Food very tasty. Give interior with sufficient seating. Outdoor seating offered too.

The food I've had so far has been simple, but well-made. I've gone for omelets both times and was not disappointed. No potatoes included, so had to get as a side. They were really good, but would be nice to have a smaller portion just included with the omelet. Nice option to have for an early lunch/brunch on a weekday (if you want an adult beverage at around 11am :)). Will definitely have this one in my rotation. -Edit misspelled "omelet" LOL read more

5/5 experience when I came by this morning for some food! Very filling as well and have to say the service was fast and polite entire time as well. Even though it was crowded and there was a wait, I was seated within 20 minutes & served my food around same wait time. Very clean and there is a lot of parking that is 2 hours out front of the restaurant (parallel parking) but very convenient to get to and a cute small town to go exploring after eating! Prices weren't bad at all, paid $20 even for the strawberry toasts and a side of home fries, was very happy with this place! read more

Cute restaurant, reminds me of snooze eatery. Lots of breakfast and lunch options. They are only open until 2 on Saturday, luckily we got there about 12:30 and only had a 15 min wait. The dirty chai was my favorite, they make a good chai. I had the chicken and waffles, it comes with cinnamon butter, oh so good. The chicken is breaded just enough and very crispy. There is ample street parking at no cost, make sure you walk around Main Street after you eat. We found some adorable shops! read more

Love Tangerine Longmont. Friendly staff and consistently tasty food make it our place to walk to for breakfast or brunch. Occasionally the kitchen gets overwhelmed and they pause on seating more people until they get caught up. Could be a bummer if you have plans to go somewhere, but I haven't been stuck in that position yet. Been there about 6 times and the kitchen hold happened twice. They could use an escalation plan or someone that invites the chaos of a busy kitchen without shutting it down. The cocktails are well done and a brunch buzz makes me happy read more

I don't understand some of these reviewers. They wouldn't let your dog in? Yeah it's a restaurant and they have health codes. Bad latte? Yeah must be the end of the world. This will be our spot from now on! read more

Omg - mouthwatering! This is the cutest spot, right on the main drag in Longmont. The coffee is strong (like I like!) and the food is delicious- I ordered from the daily specials menu and got the best Indian tacos. Decent food. Grateful for at least a vegan option. *** updating, they actually got the vegan eggs and the vegan pancake! That deserves an updated star. Still peeved about the plant milk upcharge and grateful for the increased vegan options. One thing that really bugs me, and isn't exclusive to this place, but the significant upcharge for plant-based milks. Which means not only am I paying the full cost for the drink that includes the cost of puss-filled cow's milk, but then also the higher cost for the plant milk. Not to mention that my tax dollars also heavily subsides dairy farming, which is not a free market economy. It's extremely annoying. Otherwise the atmosphere is lovely. The staff are nice and it's a fun place to meet up for brunch. Lol, I just order tea now. read more

I usually love it here but the when we went this morning, my boyfriend, who is allergic to nuts got pancakes and specifically asked for no nuts. However when we received the plate it had almonds under each layer like they just picked them off the top. This could've caused a hospital trip if we hadn't noticed. Our server was great and handled the situation well but we're just disappointed in the lack of care from the kitchen. read more

I found myself at Tangerine around the lunch hour. I would have look more forward to trying something from their breakfast menu but I had already eaten breakfast earlier in the day so my tastebuds were not exactly looking to eat more breakfast-type items. I ended up ordering their 3-cheese grilled cheese sandwich which comes with fries. I realize how incredibly stupid this given it's just grilled cheese but it was the only thing I was interested in on their menu at that point in the day. Their price points are pretty high. I mean, now we've reached the point with every unique, hipster-type restaurant, where grilled cheese is way overpriced anyway. But I do think for what the vibe of the place is and that it's in fact breakfast you are paying for some form of a hipper breakfast that isn't exactly the case. The restaurant was clean and the staff did a fine job as well. Ultimately, it was a fine enough experience from a food and environment standpoint but there are just so many breakfast options out there that I'm not sure I would necessarily find myself wanting to return to Tangerine. read more

Service is great and atmosphere is good. Dined al fresco in front café. Music was on but almost inaudible over traffic. Turn UP Volume. Received attentive and friendly service from a wide variety of waitresses, who encouraged me to fill out a suggestion card. First suggestion: Figure out how to make Biscuits and gravy and add them to the menu. Second suggestion: with THREE (3) restaurants in Colorado, you need a recipe for Green Chili. Try Google. What you are serving is called "SALSA," and is nothing like green chili except the color. Third: The description of "Smothered" does not mean a couple of tablespoons topping the Sausage Burrito. Again, Google for definition. Finally, "Sausage burrito" implies the MAIN ingredient is Sausage! The sausage in my burrito was barely present. Add more sausage instead of leading with cheaper egg filling. read more

Brunch has become one of those things where you wait in a huge line, order some meal that sounds fancy but turns out to be something you could have made yourself, and pay a price that's close to a nice dinner. Luckily, Tangerine breaks that habit! The food tasted fantastic. We had veggie hash and a Reuben burrito. Both were amazing and I highly recommend! Not only that but the prices were well below what typical denver brunches are now (why does avocado toast cost $14 in Denver?!?). We're not usually in Longmont, but if we are we're definitely coming back. read more

Solid sister restaurant to the location in Boulder. So happy to have another good breakfast place in Longmont since our favorite Motherlode closed. I tried the chilaquiles, and it was just ok. Kind of small portions and the chips didn't seem fresh. The sauce wasn't especially flavorful. I definitely won't order this again but I do so love the veggie Benedict with their pesto. I tried the turmeric latte and that was a unique drink. I really enjoyed it and I'm glad its part of their menu. My husband got the corned beef hash and had several large fatty pieces he could not eat. He likes the flavors of that dish tho so he was happy. They have a decent kids menu. No crayons for kids at all tho, but they have two boxes of toys in the waiting area The booths are right up in each others business. The tables are spaces out more. Parking is on the street or behind off Coffman. The service was good, they know their menu and are trained nicely! Definitely recommend as an alternative to Le Peep or First Watch. A definite step above all the other diner style places in town read more

Food is outstanding. We went for breakfast and I had the Salmon Benedict, delicious! The breakfast potatoes served with our meals were also very, very good. They acknowledged the issue, apologized and took 30% off of our check. I plan to go back to Tangerine very soon. read more

First of all, they treat some of their workers like total garbage! I seen them work their butt's off for the owner and get NO Respect at all! I agree with a lot of the other reviewers - both good and bad. My 2 experiences have been mixed. I agree with the vibe of the place and the staff is very pleasant. I see in reviews people like their Huevos Rancheros. I don't care for a crispy tortilla under the eggs. The rest of the plate was a pretty bland collection of food although my eggs were cooked perfectly. Latte was pretty looking and tasted okay but small-ish for the price. My wife's steak and eggs were not very good and she couldn't make her way through the fat of the "hanger" steak. Flavor was okay but almost a hint of over aging (or was it spoiled meat)? Potatoes are either overcooked or not cooked enough. Tomatillo sauce included in a cup - meh. My biggest pet peeves: 1. Check dropped off so early that it was insulting. We had more than half our food on our plates. There was no waiting for a table since we came during the week around 11 AM. I guess it was because there was only 1 server handling everyone. They use expediters to get food to your table so she wasn't bringing our food. 2. They're still charging 4% kitchen fee. I get that kitchen staff is typically underpaid but this place charges upscale breakfast prices. Our ticket was over $40 without tip so $48 with tip. For this type of breakfast, no thanks. Not worth it. read more

I really wanted to be able to rate Tangerine higher, it's a cute "orange" themed restaurant, a tasteful, lighter "Tangerine" and white with orange hanging globes reminiscent of the 70's, updated. The menu covers modern recipes on items you would expect at a breakfast/lunch old fashioned diner... it's not your parents diner but they would still like to eat here, reminiscing about the prices when they were dating. read more
