Zoup! Eatery. Firestone CO. Mid-Sept, 2026. We arrived at our hotel in Firestone in the early evening, after having spent a few nights camping in Rocky Mountain National Park and with me feeling a little under the weather with an upper respiratory infection (URI). We looked online to see what our nearby dining options were for a nutritious and relatively fast dinner. Given my URI, my husband cajoled me (ok, insisted) that we try Zoup!, a restaurant that we were not familiar with. Zoup! is a fast-casual restaurant chain (in Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ontario) that specializes in a rotating daily selection of soups, fresh salads, sandwiches, macs, flats, spuds, grilled cheese, smoothies, and desserts. You order at a counter (or kiosk), and the food is delivered to your table. My husband and I each selected the Pick 2 Option, with each of us selecting a soup (8 ounces) and a half-portion of a sandwich. (There are other Pick 2 combo options with salads, flats, macs, etc.). I selected the Black and Blue Steak Half-Sandwich ($7.65), with savory steak on a toasted ciabatta with sliced tomato, Gorgonzola, and a kick of horseradish mayonnaise. For my soup, I selected Chicken Noodle ($7.49) -- chicken bone broth with carrots, celery, onions, fresh dill, and egg noodles. My husband's Pick 2 combined the Lobster Bisque ($7.49), with a Cali Chicken Half-Sandwich ($6.49). The bisque was a real cream soup with lobster, crawfish, butter, and a hint of sherry. His toasted sandwich featured grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, avocado, white cheddar cheese, and a jalapeño ranch dressing. Each of the Pick-2 meals also came with an additional ciabatta roll with a packet of butter. Our check totaled $36.59, including sales tax and 18% gratuity. PROS. * All of the food was served hot and was very tasty -- though light on meat in the soup and on the sandwiches. * We had specifically come into the restaurant because they offered soups, and we were pleased to see that they offered 12 different soup options. * The restaurant is in an unassuming strip mall with free and sufficient parking, and was easy to access from the main road. * There is in-restaurant seating, as well as options for take-out. CONS. * A first visit to the restaurant is over-whelming with so many food and combination options. In retrospect, I wish we had sat at a table with a menu to understand our options before going up to the counter. * I learned from their website only later that they offer free tastings of their soups before ordering. We were not aware of, nor did our server tell us, about that option. * Prices are a bit expensive for half-portions. Our soups were $7.49 each for 8 oz. soups, while our half-sandwiches were $6.49-$7.65. The full portion prices are a better value than the Pick 2 options (though the latter offers variety). Also, a quick note. Soup is offered in 4 sizes: the Try 2 size (8 oz), Cup (12 oz), Bowl (16 oz), and XL (32 oz). This is confusing as a cup is a usually a unit of volume, with 1 US cup equal to 8 US fluid ounces! I wish we had a Zoup! Eatery in central Virginia. We would definitely return to this restaurant. read more

Amongst our party, the Hot Italian Sandwich and Turkey & Bacon Club Sandwich were well liked, but the Cuban Sandwich not so much. I especially enjoyed the Cinnamon Mandarin drink. read more

My friend and I stop here to get lunch a lot after her doctor appt. The staff that work here are always so sweet and helpful. We recieve our orders very fast and the food is great. This restaurant is not called Z!Eats anymore. It is called Soups! The only negative thing is the manager seems so upset every time we go in. There is never a big crowd during the week and it's not loud. We enjoy eating here. read more

Fantastic customer service. The gentleman helping us explained the menu, how to order and the variety of recipes that they aquire. It's truly impressive. However, the execution left a lot to be desired. I love the soup tasting concept and the small little shot cups. It's a great way to ensure that the customer will be happy with what they order. The try 2 is the route to go. Choose two things from their soup, salad, sandwich or mac lists and your good to go. Don't get me wrong, the flavors weren't terrible, but they were mediocre at best. Chicken Pot Pie. A fan favorite, but still lacking in that creamy texture and savory flavor that a good pot pie has. Chicken Toscana. The breading was heavenly and soft, but that's pretty much all I was eating. The toppings were very skimpy and off tasting. Good, Really Good Chicken Noodle. I beg to differ. It was incredibly sweet of all things and there was a crap load of dill which made it somewhat sour as well. Classic Mac. The best dish of all that we tasted. It was cheesy goodness in a cup. All in all, this wouldn't be my first choice for a quick meal, but I do love the concept and friendly staff. read more

Spotted this place in a little strip mall. Very unassuming. Checked out the menu online before I decided to pop in. I was definitely glad I did. The selection is perfect. The service is walk up to order. Quick and easy. There's a little of everything for different taste buds. Similar to Panera in food genre but definitely more affordable and in my opinion tastier. I got the soup n sammie combo with Pesto grilled cheese paired with pumpkin pie bisque. My hubby got Italian Market sammie with ladled lobster Mac n cheese. It was all outstanding. What a wonderful and pleasant surprise to find something truly delicious and unique! If you are looking for soup, salad, sandwiches or Mac-n-Cheese selections you are in the right place! (And yes they have vegetarian options) This place is off the beaten track and you pretty much have to be looking for it, but your efforts will be rewarded! A unique menu with multiple choices and they let you sample as many as you want in order to make your selection. This will undoubtedly make you want to either try more than one or like I did, have them pack some up to take home! Some choices they have daily and others are a daily specials. Tonight the lady literally yelled at my husband at pickup when he said we ordered a full size sandwich because it was 6" long and we know that isn't right. Totally went with an open mind and a hungry belly. I read the reviews and it was hit and miss, so I decided to try it, and boy am I sure glad I did! Absolutely amaz-a-licious!! Onolicious! like seriously...so good and if eating healthy taste like this, on the daily, then I'm down!!! ! I'm super glad I tried it- I recommend it to anybody. I definitely plan on going back and trying more things. (Oh! I did not add the dressing that came with it. to me, it did not need the dressing at all, it was perfect without)! Came here after seeing all the gluten and lactose free options. The soups looked delicious. They have soup, sandwiches, salads, macaroni, and some other items that you can order to eat here. When I arrived I ordered the Singapore Squash soup, which is gluten/lactose free. See my attached picture. I got a side of gluten free bread and a bag of potato chips on the side, which I used to dip in the squash soup while eating it. I sat in one of the booths near the window. There is seating outside as well. After this I went and ordered the Chicken Toscana sandwich on gluten free bread without cheese. See my attached picture. I thought both the soup and the sandwich tasted good. I had a Sierra Mist fountain soda drink with my food. I will definitely come back here. I was pleased with both my food and experience here. I used to eat here all the time and loved it. Yet in the past year they have been horrible. I get sandwhiches that are so oily the bread falls apart before it even gets to my table. Possibly the worst sandwich I've ever had. Extremely thick and hard bread...to where we couldn't bite through it, one slice of meat and no flavor. Just all around bad. I'm not a picky person and rarely leave reviews. $29 for 2 inedible sandwiches, 2 drinks and a bag of chips is more than disappointing. read more

The staff was very knowledgeable and happy to help and I ended up with their Roadhouse Sirloin Chili and Grilled Cheese Dippers. What an amazing duo and completely filled up a big guy! First time in. Grand opening week and we came for the Hometown Hero's day. Management welcomed us and introduced us to the menu items. Business busy which is good. Samples of selections is nice so you can decide which soup you want. Clam chowder is flavorful and has good chunks of clams. Lobster bisque is good as well. I've held my book club meeting here a couple times because Starbucks next door decides to close early and every time I've had to clean the tables and chairs just to find a place to sit. We thought we'd try this place, however that was a huge mistake. Ordered a menu item, the chicken bowlrito, with no changes. My wife ordered a try two. After watching all the people that were in line behind us get their orders, she went to enquire where our order was. She was told by a male employee that was making everything, that then told another employee to come tell us they ran out of brown rice and it would now be a 30 min wait. We were never told this vital info. The employee that supposedly gave this info to someone else took no responsibility for the issue. We did request and received a refund. Bad customer svc. Great food, even better service. I called in a slight panic because I needed lunch for 9 people in less than 30 minutes. I talked to Rob, and he talked me through it, gave me great options for a variety of soups, sandwiches and a salad, and it was ready in under 20 minutes. What a lifesaver!! We get takeout from Zoup probably once every 4-6 weeks, more often in colder months. Not sure why I haven't thought to review before now. My husband loves their salads, we've tried two of their sandwiches and they're...fine. I love the rotating soup selection. Not every one has been a "homerun" but most of them are pretty darn good. They have classics that are always great and others that offer some variety for a more adventurous palate. We also love their bread and they send plenty of it! I love that they're offering curbside delivery (pre-COVID they also offered tasters which was so nice...doubting this is still the case though, understandably so). We'll continue to frequent Zoup!!
