My first review on Peppers. After a hectic day last night, we drove 25 minutes down for dinner. We decided to give the place another try after being served cold food on different occasions, in the past. They always corrected, but it always left us both eating at different times, no discount for the issue offered, yet we kept returning. I love their Chicken Marsala, and my husband enjoys the Jacks hamburger. We arrived and requested a booth and were offered a half booth/half table, which we declined and asked for a table instead. All while one small booth in the main dining area and a larger booth sat empty. We were not offered to wait a few minutes while the larger booth was cleared or wait for the small booth just sitting there. The hostess was polite but was keeping a tally for the waitstaff. Annoying, and shouldn't be the customers problem! We were seated in the bar area at a table that still had water marks from glasses being sat on the table. We were not sure if the table had been wiped off or not. I used a napkin to wipe it off myself. The small booth in the main dining area was used apx 5 minutes later and we would have waited. Our waitress, Liv, promptly waited on us to take our order. We decided to get the Street Corn Dip for an appetizer and relax. Liv asked us if we wanted to go ahead and order dinner as well. My husband replied that we would if the appetizer and dinner didn't come out at the same time. Liv assured us that it would not happen, so we went ahead and ordered. The Street Corn Dip appetizer arrived only to include stale tortilla chips. We waved Liv over to the table and asked if we could get new chips, at which time Liv asked if they were stale. My husband replied, yes they are stale. Liv apologized but didn't think they had other tortilla chips but would check. A minute or two later our dinners came out, brought out by another person. As she sat down the entrees she informed us that they were making new tortilla chips. My husband replied that we didn't want to be a pain, but we had requested the appetizer first and not with our dinner, that we no longer wanted the appetizer. She said, "So you want me to take this back?", with a look on her face, like she couldn't believe us, the nerve we had! My husband replied, yes, as she whisked the appetizer away and huffed off. No sorry or she understood. We think she might have been the manager, either way she should have handled it better and saved the look of disgust off of her face for the kitchen! Liv later came by to check on us and apologized again and said she had told the kitchen we didn't want everything showing up at the same time and said she was sorry again. We enjoyed our entrees for the most part, but very off putting the way the one gal acted over the appetizer. We wished that we would have thought about asking her name; we never saw her again. After paying the bill and looking at the receipt down the road we realized the 20% tip we clicked on the machine included the price before the appetizer was deducted. We are only talking about a couple more dollars, but it is the principal, especially how the night went and our past experiences. We are done with this place! read more

Food is mediocre at best. Almost everything is greasy. Cold inside no matter outdoor weather. It seems this restaurant has gone down hill in the last 7 years or so. We used to come here rather frequently, but the last couple of years we've only come to sit in the bar and watch sports. It doesn't matter because either way the food we've gotten has been meh at best. First time here. Located in strip mall area with Safeway and other shops. Plenty of parking. They only take reservations for parties of 15. We arrived before the homecoming crowd so there was no wait. The waitress was friendly & helpful with dinner suggestions and keeping up with ice tea refills. I ordered the Prime Rib Dip with side salad. I expected bigger slices of prime rib instead of the smaller pieces but it didn't matter because the whole sandwich was really good. We were a party of 4 and we were greeted and seated almost immediately. The place had quite a few diners but room for more. The place looked clean but the a/c was blasting too much cold air. Our server was very pleasant and answered our questions concerning some menu items. Our order was taken and our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. I ordered the prime rib dip sandwich and French fries. My sandwich arrived and it was piled high with prime rib, sauteed onions and cheese on a tasty roll . The dip was too salty for my taste so there wasn't a lot of dipping going on but I didn't care the sandwich was ok on it's own . I honestly can't remember what everyone ordered but I recall boneless wings, shrimp and some other sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their meals and were impressed with the serving sizes. Me and fiance visited there and it was out first time. I had the short rib grilled cheese, my fiance had the Buffalo chicken salad. Accompanied with the southwestern egg rolls and the table side mimosa flight. The food was delicious, our server was amazing. The ambiance and esthetics of the establishment was beautiful. We sat outside and enjoy our meal, we will definitely be back. This was so good. Our first time here, we stopped on the way back from our son's basketball game for brunch. Our son had their Cap'N Crunch French toast, Hubby had the strawberry stuffed French toast, and I had their Sweet potato hash (it was awesome). The hash had diced sweet potatoes, spinach, Brussel sprouts and 2 eggs with hollandaise sauce with a side of wheat bread (there was an option to add meat but I chose the veggie version) & it was soooo good & filling. Waited forever for my server to show up. I think that was punishment for telling the hostess I didn't want to sit against the wall at a 2-top. When I order a sweet tea, she brings me an unsweetened tea. Of course, it takes a while for her to look my way to get it corrected. Then I am told I have to stir it. They just put simple syrup in the bottom of the glass. Um, excuse me? Then that's not sweet tea. That's iced tea with simple sugar. Then my Green Chili comes. It was ok if it wasn't luke warm. I really don't have a complaint about the food but I can't believe what I was told by the manager when I asked for the air conditioning to be turned either down or off. My wife and I stopped in tonight to have a meal and everything was fine at first. They seated us at a booth and we looked at the menu, they were celebrating St. Patrick's day so we ordered some Irish egg rolls (pretty good by the way) but as soon as they arrived the air conditioner turned on. It was warmer than usual today, about 72 at the highest and about 67 when we were sitting down to eat. At first we were thinking this should probably shut off any time since it just isn't that hot out any more and never was truly hot in the first place. So we at our appetizer in the cold because the air conditioner was blowing on the wall, down the wall past the window where we were seated and then blasting past us (and our food) making us cold, the food cold and it was blasting hard enough to blow a napkin off the table and a straw wrapper. My wife came in with a head scarf and she was wearing it over her head and trying to cover her shoulder, she looked miserably cold and at first I was doing okay but eventually I started feeling very chilled as well. We told the waitress we were uncomfortable and our food was getting cold fast and she just said sorry only. Then my wife got up to go to the bathroom because she couldn't take the cold anymore. She asked me if we could leave and that she was getting a migraine headache from the cold air blowing on her. I asked the waitress to send over the manager and told the manager the same thing and was going to ask if she could at least turn it down. She said sorry but she couldn't and that she can't change the thermostat. So I offered to pay for what we already ate and told them to take back the food we ordered. I think they charged us for the appetizer and the beer and a softdrink but damn that was a lot of money just for that. I am not going to dish out probably a minimum of 80 dollars to freeze my A** off while trying to eat food that is going cold in only a couple of minutes. I don't know if the manager was refusing or she straight up was not allowed access to the thermostat like she was being treated like a little kid. Either way that is not how you treat paying customers. Going out to eat should not feel like you have to gobble down your food fast before it goes cold while you feel like you are eating in a cold windstorm. So food is decent, service totally sucks with an extra manager sucks on top of it and the Ambiance is like eating outside in the cold while you are inside and basically being told to deal with it. How about Here is my middle finger for you! and a sparkling review of your p**phole eatery. Deal with it! And also offering to move me to a table where the same air is blasting is like saying "hey I think you are stupid enough to bite on a big nothing for your trouble". Thanks for the insult on top of your refusal to make my wife and I comfortable enough to not want to leave your rotten restaurant as soon as humanly possible. You will never ever ever see me in this sh*thole again. I would have preferred to give a good review but the manager has made that impossible. read more

We always have a great experience at Pepper's Fireside Grille in Firestone. The food is always delicious. Even on the busiest of nights they don't take long at all to get our party seated. We sat out on the patio for the first time on a very cold night, and all my family was comfortable with the enclosure and the heaters. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. read more

This restaurant is horribly managed. My husband made reservations for Mother's Day. We chose peppers because my terminally ill father in law is undergoing cancer treatments and we try not to be in crowded places. But because he doesn't have much time left he doesn't want to miss out on celebrating with family while he still can. We called well in advance and they took our reservation. We specified wanting to be in the patio because it would limit the crowd/germ factor. My husband then called a few days before to confirm his reservation. When he did he was told they were not taking reservations for Mother Day. He explained he had already made the reservation and the person in the phone confirmed that it was in fact on their calendar and she informed... " it's 9, on their patio?" So it was clear she had it down or was psychic. I'm guessing the former. Fast forward to Mother Day. We show up and we're told " we're not taking reservations ". My husband said "i called to confirm and was told it was on your calendar." Sure as shit, on their calendar clear as day it says " joe, party of 9 on the patio" Fast forward and the manager comes out and says to my husband " I'm the manager and I didn't take your reservations". i say, he made it weeks ago, called to confirm two days ago and ITS ON YOUR CALENDAR. She then asks my husband to confirm he made a reservation by confirming who he talked to. Are you freaking kidding me?!? How did it magically end up in your calendar? Am i a freaking magician?!?! At this point i'm pissed this gaslighter is being so rude to my husband who not only made the reservation but went the extra mile to confirm it! No apologies from the manager who raises her voice at me. This would be the point a GOOD manager would have said " i sincerely apologize, you're absolutely right you did make a reservation and we will absulutely honor it. I'm sorry I was mistaken. Alas, this manager got defensive when she was clearly in the wrong. Then, even though there was half a dozen tables in the shaded part of the patio, she sits us and my medically vulnerable father in law to baste in the direct heat in the unshaded part of the patio. She never visited the table to see how it was. The server did her best to make the table happy but at this point her manager had already ruined the outing by being rude, condescending and essentially doing the bare minimum. It's a shame this establishment is run so poorly. The food is good. The servers are friendly. But the place is understaffed and management is very poor so it's clear they are always playing catchup. I wish ai could say we'll be back but at this point, I doubt it. read more

Pepper's was highly recommended by hotel and co-workers I was in town to assist. I visited on a Monday night and it was not very busy. Was seated right away. And that is where it seemed to stop being ok. Waited for about 10 minutes before any server stopped to take my drink order, while the staff walked by my table multiple times. Finally the server arrived and not only took my drink order but also food order, burger no bun with extra patty cord to medium well. The drink finally arrived and then the burger came out, missing the extra patty and cooked to medium rare. Asked where the second patty was and they said they would get it going right away. The second patty came out, rare! Sent it back and finally came back, but medium rare again. Just ate it and left, but would not recommend going here and not sure I would return to give a second opportunity. IMO If an order is missing something or sent back a manager should come out and discuss hour they could correct it do better. Hope you have better service and food than I did. read more
