The food has consistently been the biggest disappointment even last year. I've tried their food on several different occasions, and every time it has been poorly prepared. It tastes like everything is simply pulled from the freezer and thrown into the microwave. The burritos come out soggy, the danishes taste stale, and anything involving a croissant or similar pastry is extremely oily and ends up hard and unappealing from being over-microwaved. And the mini pancakes they promote - terrible! They are extremely sweet and have that unmistakable over-microwaved, frozen-food texture. I honestly cannot recommend any of the food items I've tried here. The lattes used to be good, but the quality has definitely gone downhill as well. Unfortunately, the service and overall experience have declined along with it. Another issue for me is the lack of posted prices. You shouldn't have to ask what everything costs at a coffee shop. I personally won't continue patronizing restaurants, coffee shops, or other businesses that don't clearly display their prices. Customers should be able to see what things cost before ordering. It's disappointing because I used to enjoy coming here, but there are better options nearby. I'll be taking my business to Black Sheep, which is just a block away. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Beast Coffee in Johnstown based on my experiences.
