I ordered a poke bowl and there was so much sauce I had to throw it away. Got charged $15 for this definitely not worth it!

My poke bowl. It was really good.

We went here a couple weeks ago. We'd never had poke before but had been wanting to try it and were excited to finally have a chance to try out Honolulu Poke Bar. We were not disappoint! So many choices of proteins, "salads," and other mix-ins. Delicious flavors, decent prices for what it is. We also tried the miso soup and it's some of the best I've had. I hope we have a chance to go back soon.

Great find for some raw fish in Colorado. Never had any issues with their food. I would have to say this is my favorite poke place in northern Colorado. However, as the years have gone by, their protein portions have dramatically decreased.

Wow! Where has this restaurant been all my life? I was hungry and decided to give it a try. The food is so delicious and fresh! I can believe the portions! I am a big boy and I was full. I also ordered the miso soup. All for only 15.50 with tax. I'll definitely be back.

This is where I wish partial stars were possible. I will start by clarifying the food is a four but had to decrease based on the bubble tea which I may be spoiled by Boba Tonka in MN. This place is quick service where they have a combination of build your own with some predefined options. I opted for the combo curry bowl which came with rice, chicken, meatballs, curry sauce, and pickled radish. I added jalapeno and fried onions. Overall the proteins were a decent amount for the size of the bowl and the curry sauce had a decent flavor (not too bland or spicy) My daughter had a simple chicken and rice bowl which she said was alright, white meat chicken and not over cooked. My wife did build your own with white rice, spicy tuna, jalapeno, green onion, cilantro, spicy aioli, mango, pineapple, fried onions, and 7 spice. A good combination of spicy and sweet, the flavors were nice with a not fishy tuna and the small bowl is good for a largish lunch. There are better places to get bubble tea but they offer a good range of personalization. Overall would eat here again but likely will skip their bubble tea.

As far a Poke goes , its good Poke . I can say that compared Hawaii Poke on Oahu or Kauai, its just not the same but its a great reminder and very tasty none-the-less. It was a bit pricey but the selections were good and since I was there with native Hawaiian friends , they gave it a 3 . If you want Poke in Colorado , this a good place to start . I would go back but it was a bit too pricey . Very clean place and service was quick .

Ask the Community - Honolulu Poke Bar

Does anyone have the nutrition facts for their sauces etc? I can't find it any where. The website looks like it's down and I already emailed them to see if I could get it. Thanks!

Last I checked their menu wasn't online, even when the website worked. You may need to ask in person or phone. I think they are supposed to give you nutritional info if asked. I'm not absolutely sure how the nutrtional facts law works for small… Read more

Full Disclosure: My girlfriend said she's ordered in the past and that the portions were very generous, with the fish-to-rice ratio. Well, that was then; this is now. I ordered the salmon bowl, and it was disappointing in every way. For starters, there was hardly ANY salmon at all. I don't know if this is SOP in Colorado, but I've had poke all over the country, from Sacramento, California, to New York, New York, and Saint Louis, Missouri, to Raleigh, North Carolina, and never have I ever gotten so little fish and so much rice and other ingredients in any poke bowl I've gotten before. Normally, at a poke place, my experience has been at LEAST 50% fish with rice and other ingredients, 50%. At Island Fin Poke this evening, the ratio was about 80% rice, 15% other ingredients, and I'm being generous when I say it was 5% salmon. And about that 5%: The salmon had a pinkish hue and appeared to be semi-cooked. I ate all of it because I was hungry, and doing so made me hangry--and not in a good way. As far as my girlfriend goes? She didn't finish her meal, and she HATES wasting food. Suffice it to say, I will never order from this place again. And to all of you people who gave this place a 4.8 out of 5 stars? The only taste you have is decidedly not in your mouth. Let me guess: This is the only place you've had poke before, am I right? To sum up: Ewww...

I had a medium bowl with 3 proteins: shrimp, spicy tuna, and yellowtail (yellowtail is $1 extra) - Brown rice was cooked to perfection - shrimp wasn't overcooked - spicy tuna had a decent level of spice - yellowtail was fresh - sauces: spicy aioli and yuzu citrus - our server was very generous and I loved that! Spicy wasn't too spicy. The rest of the sides were also very fresh and you could tell they pay attention to their sides. After tax and tip my medium bowl was $26. That's a little pricey, but the quality was great. Just note they also charge 3% for credit cards.

I had the Lulu poke bowl (spicy tuna, mango, fried onions, edamame, and nori), and it absolutely hit the spot! The portions are generous for the price, the fish tasted fresh, and everything was seasoned well. The only slight downside was the musubi, as I've had better elsewhere, but that's definitely not going to stop me from coming back to try more of their food.
