This is our second anniversary spent in our new State of Colorado. Every year we try a new "fancy" steakhouse, trying to recreate the glory and deliciousness that is III Forks in Texas. Unfortunately, another year of overpriced subpar food. I digress, as I hate writing a bad review... this could totally be someone's jam. We did bring our kids along, I wouldn't recommend it as there isn't a kids menu and, as I said, it's fairly pricey. We got them fettucini Alfredo with a side of steak and I believe it was $30 ish? My son ate the fettucini, most of it was gone, didn't like all the extra "stuff" he said (I think it was pork belly and some greens), daughter took one bite of the steak... The broccolini, hard pass. Tasted like burnt vinegar? There were little pink balls mixed in with them, so I ate one and yeah it was like pure vinegar in them...awful. I had a split lobster tail for $20 which was a decent size and tasted good... no melted butter came with it.. so that was a bummer. My husband had a steak... said it wasn't flavorful... said my daughters little side of steak that was supposed to go on the alfredo had more flavor. We also got duck fat potatoes which were fine. All in all, no butter for lobster, no mashed potatoes that came with the steak, just a few little bread rolls...for the cost and taste profile this is crossed off our list. Maybe it's just too fancy for us. The fancy cars we could look at through the glass. There was a huge screen on the wall next to where we sat, but I didn't see the point? It just had some flames and the restaurant name on it. The menu's were cool and all lit up, impressed the kids. Our waitress was absolutely fantastic, what a gem. We did get a free dessert, the cornflake Crème brulee, very nice. Ehhh. I don't think you need to drive north for this place. The steak was over seasoned and quite salty (as a group we split the 40oz tomahawk). The sides are much smaller portions then you would see at other a La cart steak houses. They could do a much better job at integrating the car side of the house too. I don't throw around "perfect meal" lightly, but damn, DRIVEN delivered. The dry aged New York strip was a masterclass - crusted like a dream, pink and juicy inside, with that dry-aged depth. The black truffle potatoe pave was perfectly crispy and soft with amazing flavor. The yukon potato mousseline was basically butter that politely disguised itself as mashed potatoes. Now, the starters: The octopus was everything you want - smoky, tender, with that crisp-edged char. And the lobster, Just ridiculous. Sweet, barely needed the fork. Zero weak links. I struggled writing this review, I sat on it a few days, as I don't write reviews very often, but I have to leave my opinion. I was excited after hearing about Driven from a co-worker, to take my car-loving husband there for his birthday! I heard from my co-worker afterwards that her husband's steak was around $160 and the brussels sprouts weren't great. I decided to ignore her opinion and we went anyway. Our family of four didn't eat cheap. It was $750 after $125 tip. Mind you, our waitress was great! She was fun and very knowledgeable about the food and cut of steaks. Then the food came out... a $100 steak with two tablespoons of mashed potatoes, because your sides are a separate cost?! What?! The "family-style" sides were $16 for maybe? 12 pieces of asparagus and $25 for a cereal bowl of Truffle Mac and Cheese! $40 for an over-cooked lobster tail was not what I was expecting either! And then only 6 cars available to view?! Doesn't seem worth it to me. I left unsettled, so I came home and read the reviews on Yelp to see if others felt the way we did. Made a reservation and was asked if celebrating a special occasion and told them our son's 40th birthday. Arrived at restaurant and no one at front desk. Waited 5-10 minutes and she shows up. Than tells us she needs to get a table ready. Another 5-10 minutes and we're seated in a pretty empty restaurant (2 other tables occupied) on a Sunday night at 5pm. We ordered drinks and my beer came in a bottle and I had to ask for a glass to pour it in. I than asked for a tour of the back to look at the cars. I was told they ere understaffed and this was not possible but could come back some other time to see cars. Really three tables occupied and we drove from Erie/Mead and this is not possible. Bread came out looking like something from Safeway bag and were very average. High end restaurant get some decent bread. Three plates came out and we're waiting for 4th meal and my son says start eating while the food is hot. His meal finally came out and I will say the steaks are very good. But with tip a 726 dollar bill for 4 people you should get a great experience. We were asked if a special occasion when made reservation but was never acknowledged during dinner. The experience was very disappointing and we have no plans on trying this restaurant again. This business also sells cars and I'm guessing that's where they will make money because this restaurant is not going to last. Texas Roadhouse gives a better service than this restaurant. read more

We have dined at most of the steakhouses in Fort Collins and Loveland, and wanted to try out this restaurant. We had a reservation for dinner on a Saturday night, and the hostess seated us right away and brought us menus and water. One entire wall of the restaurant is a television and a hockey game was on. The music was loud and was an all over the place eclectic mix. Was I in a Sports Bar? A Fine Dining establishment? I was so confused. We watched numerous staff walk past us, but no one came to take our order. After 10 minutes of waiting, my husband went back to the hostess and she apologized profusely and told us someone would be right over. A server did show up and apologized for the mix up. My husband and I enjoyed our cocktails and our son ordered a Mango Mule. It had some sort of dry rub BBQ on the rim of the glass - not in the description of the drink - and it didn't taste like mango at all. He did not enjoy it. It took a while for our server to return between courses - she would take our order or drop things off and then disappear until it was time to order something else. My husband ordered the Sashimi as an appetizer and I had the Baby Arugula salad. Both were tasty. Entrees were a big disappointment. My son had steak and lobster. His steak was good but the lobster tasted fishy. My husband ordered the tenderloin with the bone in. The meat was not trimmed well and he had a lot of fat and gristle. He also felt, for Wagyu beef, it was flavorless. I ordered my filet Medium Well and it was Rare. I left it on my plate and waited for our server to come back. When she finally did, everyone else was finished eating. She offered to redo my steak, and I asked for it to be placed in a to go box. I wasn't hungry anymore. She did take the cost of my steak and my glass of wine off the bill. When she explained that the desserts were small - 2 or 3 bites - we were done being gouged and declined the dessert offerings. My boyfriend & I went here for a date. I want to premise this review with the fact that I have never written a review before, but this was so disappointing that I have to write one...in good conscience. First of all the ambiance was pretty nice, but immediately there were issues. We both ordered the Australian Wagyu (his medium rare and mine medium). Both were absolutely raw. We both sent ours back after realizing it was literally not cooked at all. He got his before I got mine and the waiter made a jab at him for trying his before I was able to get mine -- when he was literally just testing to see if it was edible. On top of that, neither steak was what we asked for. At the end, both were rare. No discount was offered. Furthermore, they continuously forgot to give us silverware, which for upwards of $400 was odd to say the least. Lastly, and most disturbing for me, was the fact that either the owner or manager of the restaurant brought a very young girl to dine next to us. This man is upwards of 50, and was touching up this young girl, ordering her drinks and food. She seemed pretty uncomfortable and clearly this was some type of inappropriate arrangement. It was just disturbing. Especially to bring in front of customers. This whole experience left us with a bad taste. Literally and figuratively. read more

We went here for my retirement dinner celebration. Service was great, along with appetizers and sides. My son did the surf and turf, the fillet was good but the lobster tail was chewy and was not good. I also ordered the lobster tail as a standalone entrée and wouldn't recommend it to anyone especially for the cost. My wife and I split the ribeye and it was a little too charred/over seasoned on the outside. Bumbled and fumbled most every encounter. They really need to train the servers better and make the experience to match the food. Food came and some people didnt have adequate silverware. Left restaurant to discover waitress had kept 2 credit cards and we had to drive back to get them as did our friend. I got scallops - meh they were not bad, but were not good either. Dont really know what was wrong, but it was. The creme brulee was horrible. pistachio goo underneath and waaaaaayto much nuts and stuff on top. I had 2 bites and had server take away. She didnt even offer to take it off the bill. @$300 for 2) Couple next to us at another table got drinks and then were so ignored they left the restaurant! Big screen video should have more cars in it. Not a terribly exciting video, but good idea. Show us some cars! it's a car restaurant! I was so excited to make Driven a celebration evening. Was expecting a terrific evening with romance and celebration. Oops didn't happen. I requested a quiet table, was taken to a table with a view of the front door and reception. I ask for a booth, but none were available. I believe there are only 3. So we sat at a cheap wiggle table with inexpensive uncomfortable chairs. We ordered a cocktail and looked around the restaurant. To clarify, I was very familiar with menu options and prices. There is zero ambience, a giant tv throwing bright light. With the menu prices being very high , it just doesn't match. Being very uncomfortable with the situation, we decided to leave after our cocktails. None of the managers came by to ask questions or why. We did go to a favorite restaurant in Windsor. Surprised to have the exact same glass of wine for $6 less than Driven!! I wish the owner the best of luck, but it will be a challenge. The pricing dictates plush and comfortable. Some table cloths and cloth napkins will help. Also on the way out, employees sitting at the bar with company t shirts on. Tacky Sorry I didn't try any food. The ambiance is really nice. I was worried about my wife's reaction to it as I thought it might be too car or sports themed, but that was not the case and she really liked the decor. They have a huge TV on the back wall; I was worried they would have sports on but they were just using to display an animated, tasteful, graphic of their name. There is a window behind the bar looking into their car showroom where there a couple of Lambo's on display. For food we got the octopus appetizer, which was small but very good. I and my friend both got the ny strips, which were very good, not great considering the price point. His wife got the scallops, which she devoured and liked a lot. My wife got the filet and liked it a lot. We shared two sides and two desserts. Food was probably a 7 out of ten. Total bill for four of us with wine and cocktails was about $600 before tip. We all felt for that price there needed to be a higher level of service and/or more food. There are two or three other high end restaurants in our area ( Cache, Chimney Park, Sonny Lubick's, Driven is not yet up to their level. The owner came by and wants honest criticism, I hope he takes it and we can have it get to the level of his competition. Next time I will go for lunch, sit at the bar and stare at the Lamborghini's. read more

The ambiance was cool but the steak was undercooked and the service, while friendly, was severely lacking. A high-end restaurant needs to train their servers better on everything including how to pour a glass of wine without dribbling it all over the table.
