Return visit and another very good experience. The lunch offerings are a deal. Had the sashimi lunch and the bento box tempura. Service was very good and attentive. It is a good place in my book and would return again

If you're looking for a restaurant where the food is exceptional and the people make you feel genuinely cared for, Sumo Sushi & Grill is that rare gem. My husband Kenneth and I have been dining here for years, and what keeps us coming back isn't just the rolls or the ramen -- it's the extraordinary kindness of the entire Sumo team. From the moment we walk through the door, we're treated like family. Mindy and her team remember our likes and dislikes down to the smallest detail -- the extra glasses of ice, the spicy mayo, the sriracha oil -- often brought to us before we even have a chance to ask. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare in today's dining world, and it never goes unnoticed. The food at Sumo is consistently outstanding, but what elevates this restaurant above the rest is the heart behind every plate they serve. We see how hard the staff works every day, and the warmth and hospitality they show us -- and every guest -- is truly something special. We recently shared a batch of our New Orleanian gumbo with the Sumo team as a small token of our gratitude. As chefs ourselves, it meant a lot to give back even a fraction of the joy they've given us over the years. Their appreciation reminded us once again why we love this place so much. Sumo isn't just a restaurant. It's a community. It's comfort. It's home. Thank you, Sumo -- for everything you do. Five stars, every visit. -- Kenneth & Tondra Gaspard New Orleans Chefs of Colorad

Probably 10th visit here and always fabulous! From the fish, chefs, servers, and management, I've never had a bad experience. I always get Lychee Martini now! I was a guinea pig when the Manager created it!

Crab is the fake stuff! This is not mentioned on the menu. $5 upcharge for the real stuff. Kind of bland. I should have gone to Sakura.

Amazing food, wonderful service, and at a great price. I've been to this restaurant about 4 times, and I'll keep coming back over and over.

My friends and I decided to come here for my birthday dinner. We had probably some of the worst service I've ever experienced while dining. I decided to rate this place two stars over one purely because the food was good. Our waitress was very rude to us and refused to bring us dessert after we waited almost an hour for her to come back. It was so rude when the restaurant was not overly busy. Our waitress seemed almost like she hated us. We took a while to decide on our order, but that was the only thing we may have done to upset her. We placed large orders and didn't ask for anything superfluous so to receive this kind of treatment felt uncalled for. I don't think we'll be coming back, which is such a shame since the food was good and we enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant until our waitress started treating us so poorly. One friend ordered miso ramen and enjoyed it. The other friend and I ordered the Sumo Love Boat for two with the Hot Girl and Broncos rolls. The sushi chefs worked very hard and I appreciate their work in creating a beautiful experience. I am so incredibly sad that I didn't get to try the dessert. There were so many things on the dessert menu that sounded so good, but I unfortunately didn't get to try.

My daughter and…read moreher fiancé wanted comfort food last night, so we went to Birdhouse and, like always, left totally satisfied. We got the Birdhouse Flight to start--guac, five-cheese queso, and their birdhouse salsa (a tasty, mild tomatillo). Seriously, it's the best way to start your meal. For dinner, we all had ramen. I went for the Hellfire with extra bok choy. This ramen is no joke. If you want something spicy, this is it. The chili sauce, flakes, and oil really bring the heat. The kids got the Tonkotsu, which was amazing as usual--great broth and super tender meat. I had my spicy ramen with a Juicy Bits from WeldWerks, perfect combo. Seriously, it's some of the best ramen and service around North Denver. Whether it's for a special day or just a chilly night. Birdhouse is always good. I totally recommend it!

So it was shocking that I found such a good bowl out here in Erie. I got the Hellfire Ramen, a tonkotsu-based ramen served with their house spicy sauce, chili oil, pork shoulder, and a soft boiled egg. The broth was rich and flavorful, the spice level was perfect (quiet hot but still maintaining a good balance of flavors), and the pork shoulder was tender but still has a bit of nice toothsomeness. Overall, this was an excellent bowl of ramen comparable to any of the top spots in Denver. The only slight downside is that the broth was just a tough too salty for my liking, and I would've preferred a soy marinated egg over a soft boiled egg. They have other ramen here was well, such as a chicken-based shio ramen, a regular tonkotsu, and a Thai curry ramen. I definitely would return to try the other ramen. If the other items on this menu is as tasty, I wouldn't hesitate to give them 5 stars.

So expectations were never high and thought it would be a tourist trap, yet, I wouldn't call Longmont touristy. So one day my wife and I got take out. Honestly, I was surprised. The food was fantastic. I don't remember what we got that time but it was memorable enough that we said we should go there for drinks and dinner. So a few months ago, not really craving anything particular and fresh off a hike but starving we decided to give it a try. Blown away. Food was exceptional. I got the salmon which is basically ordering fancy chicken at a restaurant. It was delicious. And the risotto was absolutely incredible. Service was great. When we asked what the server recommended he didn't give us a run around and say "well everything is good". He gave concrete recommendations and nailed it. Great place to go especially with family. Seems like it's a lot fun too

Uh, yes please! They have their own parking lot. We were welcomed in and seated as we had our reservations. The bathrooms were clean and well lit. The bar is located inside the pirate ship! We all came dressed in our tropical attire. The drink menu is fun and our server, Chase was the best! He gave us great recommendations and made the evening fun. We ordered the Pu Pu Platter for the table to share and then my husband and I split an order of the crab cakes. The platter had feta wontons, chicken wings (I'll come back to those), fried calamari, Spam musubi, red curry cheese tots, edamame, mac salad and seaweed salad. The seaweed salad was a new taste for me. I liked the dressing and overall it was tasty. The mac salad was traditional island mac. Good stuff. Edamame is not normally my fav, but this was seasoned well. Red curry cheese tots, yum!! The Spam musubi had a dipping sauce and together that was a tasty snack. The fried calamari, was crispy outside, not greasy and tender inside. Well done! The feta wontons were a fun combo of crispy wonton, cucumber and a creamy feta spread. Now, the chicken wings. They are not on the menu as something you can order on its own. I wish they were, as we would have ordered more! They come with a gochujang-teriyaki glaze topped with sesame seeds and scallion. Absolutely the best thing on the platter! Our crab cakes were made from Pacific Rock crab and accompanied by fresh avocado on a bed of smoked tomato pureé garnished with mango salsa. A perfect bite. I do need to talk about the drinks. My husband had a Zombie, Flor de Caña 4 year Oro rum, Planteray OFTD rum, cinnamon syrup, grapefruit, fassionola, lime and a dash of Leopold Brothers absinthe. He loved it! I asked Chase for a recommendation and he said his fav was the Three Dots and a Dash. I went with that. This drink had Dry Land Distillers aged cane rum, Planteray original dark rum, falernum, allspice dram, honey syrup, fresh lime, orange and Angostura bitters. I sipped and savored that for the evening. What a fun experience. I will definitely be coming back.

Chicken was great as it wasn't overcooked (and thus not dry). I got no spice but for future reference, some spice would really add to this dish! - Drunken Noodle (with seafood) - $16.99 + $6 - We thought this dish was okay. The sauce was more watery than expected but the seafood and noodles were cooked perfectly. Despite ordering a spice level of 5, we were surprised as to how non-spicy it was only to find out when the bill came that it was mistakenly entered as a spice level of 2. Fortunately the spice condiments available to us helped in adding a sufficient level of spice! - Sweet and Spicy Tamarind Ribs - $17.99 - This was the highlight of our meal! Meat was crisp and cooked perfectly and you can really taste the spice in this dish (yay)!. If you like the taste of tamarind then you will 100% enjoy this dish. Would highly recommend.
