We were greeted by the owner's daughter who pleasantly greeted us and offered us the seating options of patio or indoor and even followed up with booth or table once we had chosen our indoors for the A/C. After being seated and looking at the menu for a few moments our server (light white skin, blonde hair pulled back nicely but forgot her name admitted she was new) greeted us and very pleasantly offered to take drink orders. We order both the hot anchan tea and the boba milk anchan tea. It's SO GOOD! We loved the food too! My partner got tom kha soup and I got shrimp spring rolls. The portions are generous and we were both able to take some home for a late night snack. We will be back and bringing friends! read more

The food was rather good, I will say the kicker was the collard greens in the rice. NEVER have I ever had stir fried collard greens and yet I am mad that I have never had stir fried collard greens until today. They were tender and seasoned very well. The flavors all meshed very well together. I am an out of town visitor for work and my hotel is across the street. I'm glad I had a taste for Thai fried rice in my eyes Thai fried rice is the best lol. The price was very reasonable and the portion size was enough for a second meal. The service was quick and friendly and the ambiance of the restaurant is nice very pretty water garden in the front with fish and live plants. read more

We've never had Northern style Thai food so this was an interesting experience! Items we ordered (as of 6/2025): - Cream cheese wontons - $8.99 - Not bad although the wonton itself was thicker than expected. - Pad Thai (with chicken) - $15.99 - While it's not the typical Pad Thai I've had in the past (the sauce is different), I must say that I still enjoyed it. Chicken was great as it wasn't overcooked (and thus not dry). I got no spice but for future reference, some spice would really add to this dish! - Drunken Noodle (with seafood) - $16.99 + $6 - We thought this dish was okay. The sauce was more watery than expected but the seafood and noodles were cooked perfectly. Despite ordering a spice level of 5, we were surprised as to how non-spicy it was only to find out when the bill came that it was mistakenly entered as a spice level of 2. Fortunately the spice condiments available to us helped in adding a sufficient level of spice! - Sweet and Spicy Tamarind Ribs - $17.99 - This was the highlight of our meal! Meat was crisp and cooked perfectly and you can really taste the spice in this dish (yay)!. If you like the taste of tamarind then you will 100% enjoy this dish. Would highly recommend. The decor was unique and we really enjoyed the ambiance this place offered! If you like Thai food then make sure to give this place a try! read more

This place is legendary. My husband is celiac and it had good safety reviews on Find Me Gluten Free. Little did I know this food would be exactly like my FAVORITE restaurant from Orange County, CA called Thai Basil. I always would go there on my visits but would get emo cause no Thai restaurant compared. UNTIL NOW. I am over the moon about this place. Ate in the restaurant the first time and it was nice and clean and quiet. Ordered door dash 3 days later cause we are so in love with this place. read more

Impeccable Thai cuisine, a rare find in this part of Colorado. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and gives you the sense of tranquility, simple yet elegant decorative pieces throughout. That translates directly to every dish, authentic taste (that definitely helps me less homesick!) and beautifully presented. Our server was very attentive and polite yet friendly, we also had the pleasure of Annie (the owner) visiting our table for a little chat, very charming lady! You can tell she puts her heart into every detail. If you're craving for highly authentic Thai dishes, look no further and go! Save some room for dessert as well :) their Anchan ice cream is delicious both for your eyes and your tummy! read more

Let's be honest. You see another Thai place pop up in town, your expectations do a certain kind of calculus. You're hoping for decent, for good enough. You're braced for the generic. But then you walk into Anchan Thai, and the first thing you see is a small, glimmering fish pond right at the entrance. It's a tiny, audacious act of poetry. Live plants spill over their planters, and then it hits you - the aroma. The air is cut with the Holy Trinity of a Thai kitchen that's actually cooking. Beautiful lights--the kind that actually give a damn about the mood--make the place glow. This is not an accident. This is a statement of intent. The staff moves through the controlled chaos of a busy night--and they've only just opened, mind you--with a kind of serene efficiency. They're attentive without hovering. They give a damn. You feel it. Now, the food. The portions are... honest. They are the kind of generous that makes you smile, the kind that says, "We want you to be full, and we want you to take some home for tomorrow." The fish cakes? Forget the rubbery pucks you've suffered through. These are lightly crispy, with a good, clean seafood flavor that doesn't overpower. They taste of the sea, not the freezer. The spice is there, a quiet hum in the background. And that sweet and savory cucumber sauce on the side? It's not an afterthought. It's the cool, crisp counterpoint that balances the whole damn orchestra. This is how it's supposed to be done. The green curry is a vibrant, herb-forward jolt. The basil sings, loud and proud. And the eggplant? Someone in that kitchen knows their business. It's cooked through, tender, but it has integrity. It's not some mushy, surrendering casualty in the bottom of the bowl. It's a participant. But the main event, the thing that separates the players from the posers, is the Khao Soi. Let's talk about that bowl. The yellow curry is a masterpiece of complexity--it's rich, it's creamy, it's spicy in a way that builds, a slow, insistent heat that makes you feel more alive with each spoonful. The noodles are tender, the fresh veggies on top give that crucial crunch. This isn't just a good dish. This is a destination dish. This is the kind of bowl you think about on a rainy day, the memory of its flavor pulling you back through the door. Anchan Thai isn't just serving food. They're offering a little bit of sanctuary. It's a place that cares--about the light, about the plants, about the tenderness of an eggplant, and about the smile on your face. In a world of cut corners, they are building something beautiful, one perfect bowl of Khao Soi at a time. Go. Now. Before everyone else finds out. read more

Another day, another road trip! A family friend has been recommending this spot for a while now - she makes the trek up from mid-Boulder on the regular, and we decided to make the trek down ourselves. The restaurant is in a quasi indoor strip-mall type place, and was a little hard to find. Once we finally found the location, we walked in to a cozy little area with a waterfall and pond at the entrance. We were seated almost immediately and perused through the lunch menu and the regular menu. I ordered the Thai Tea which includes boba and your choice of milk. We started with a 16oz bowl of Tom Kha at a spice level of 3 and enjoyed that it wasn't sugary sweet like so many Thai restaurants we have locally. The Pad See Ew was my main order with chicken and a level 3 spice - this had a KICK! It was perfectly spicy without losing any flavor, and opened my sinuses with the first bite. My dining partner got the Pad Woon Sen with the same spice level and we both sniffled through our meals, washing away the spice with the Thai tea. I was far too full from the soup and lunch portion to get dessert, but I'll be back to try their blue Anchan sticky rice and mango! read more

Anchan Thai - Pad See Ew and Thai Tea with boba - Thai Near Me - Longmont, Colorado

Our first time at Anchan, but not our last. Of the 10 or so Thai places we've tried in Boulder County, this is probably our favorite food wise. Pineapple curry, cashew stir fry, fresh rolls, and coconut ice cream dessert were all delicious. Their hot tea is beautiful. I will say that the service when we went for Saturday lunch was really, really slow. A single waitress and hostess was managing the entire front of house (and doing a great job), but it took about an hour from ordering to getting our meal. We came with a hungry tiny human and that made for some interesting moments...I would be curious to visit again during the week and just see if it was an off day. But amazing food, lovely decor, and nice staff make this place 5 stars. read more

Its a small family run business and the food is very good. I like anything with basil in it so there are plenty of choices for that. Sorta stumbled onto this place after our favorite Thai place in Boulder was closed due to a power outage. We were happily surprised - and we truly have found a NEW FAVORITE THAI restaurant!! Channing took great care of us and seemed genuinely proud of where she worked (practically unheard of anymore with restaurant staff anywhere), and she told us all about Annie (the owner) who was in the kitchen preparing everything. Outstanding flavors, from the appetizers, to the main dishes - and all the way through the mango Anchan sticky rice as a shared dessert. Only a block west of Hover Road on the southwest side of Longmont. A must try!! read more

I will start this review with "I rarely give a 5 star reviews.. " we are foodies in the restaurant industry, our experience was top notch !!! Our server Kristen was salt of the earth, authentic with great suggestions . Our favorites at our table of four... Crab Rangoon, Drunken noodles with beef, Pad Woon Sen with shrimp, Black olive fried rice w/ pork, Green curry, Panang curry w/ chicken, Khao Soi soup , we did level 4 spice it was perfect for our palate, spicy but not over the top . Every dish was delicious, fresh, full of layers of flavor. Chef Annie came to check in on us , chat and told us stories of family favorites and how she comes to her own ideas , such as the black olive fried rice( her husbands fav) she then insisted we try dessert , her homemade Anchan ice cream with lime!!! A flower that comes from her villiage , that she has shipped to Longmont to share with her guests. It was an awesome experience, one that we won't forget and will keep going back. read more

As Thai goes in Longmont, there are not a lot of excellent options. Anchan has some hit and miss. I ordered the jungle curry and it was not my favorite. The red curry is excellent! Careful if your heat selection. I chose medium for Pad Thai and I couldn't eat it. And I use Sambal like a fiend! The food is always ready on time for takeout and the restaurant is very clean and decorated nicely. The shopping center is a little obscure, but very nice. There is plenty of parking with a parking lot. read more

We went for the first time on a very busy Valentine's Day. After a short wait we got our table, a booth. Service was friendly and responsive. Just had a very unpleasant experience with Richard the owner of Anchan Thai, as he did with me. I have been eating Thai curry for many years; Thai pot, Thai Basil, Khow Thai; Thai food in Denver, Boulder, San Francisco. I've had delicious MILD curries before. No problem. JUST KNOW before you order LEVEL 1 None from Anchan Thai expect actuality to be LEVEL 3 Medium. For me, inedible for both Level 1 curries we purchased. NO REFUND and lecture from Richard about curry spice. Richard didn't quite understand I couldn't eat his Level 1 curry assuming I had already eaten some. I took him back both full curries. NO REFUND, according to Richard, I should have known better. Needless to say, I was extremely frustrated and rude by that point for spending $86.00 dollars on 1 dish (and a sticky mango) out of 3 that could be eaten. Will never go back. You may enjoy this place, just know if you are expecting a Level 1 None curry you may have the same inedible $42.00 experience I had. Total bummer to be super hungry and having to make another trip out to Whole Foods to buy a second dinner. read more

The whole experience here was a delight. After a slow start, beautiful things just kept appearing and being devoured. Annie herself was a joyous, gracious hostess. We had chicken satay, the astounding tamarind pork ribs, panang curry and coffee ice cream with gobii berries. I would come here every night just for the food, but watching people enjoying themselves rates next. Thank you all of it, and a joyful holiday to you all! ! Judy read more

Great local Thai place. Best I've found in Longmont and dishes aren't too sweet like at many other Thai places in the US.

This is a hidden gem off of Hover on the south side of Longmont. I have been to several lackluster spots in town and had given up hope of finding a spot that captures the balanced flavors that I have come to love within Thai cuisine. Anchan does a wonderful job melding sweet, sour, spicy, and savory in a manner that is a welcome surprise and a departure from the normal basic food Longmont is all too known for. I dined with my teenage daughter and both of our meals were exceptional. Don't be fooled by the Karen's trolling Anchan's reviews. The food is very mild, though it does have the necessary amount of spice to be classified as a curry. The masaman was quite mild and I'm not even sure where the complaints are aimed considering Thai food is anchored in chili flavors. Might I suggest Applebees if you can't palette spice. read more

YES, THEY'RE OPEN. Don't let the "coming soon" sign fool you. They're open and you'll have the best meal of your life here. My husband is a huge Thai foodie because it's usually as close to "guaranteed vegan" as he can get without eating a bunch of processed food. He orders Thai a couple times a week so when we stumbled upon this place, he was super excited to give it a try. We ordered the cream cheese wonton, pineapple fried rice with tofu, and rad na with tofu. OMG, Anchan is the best Thai we've had. Everything was absolutely delicious and had that healthy, light feeling you get when you're eating good, clean food. Even better, these guys know how to make a vegan meal -- not those "it's vegan but we used oyster sauce" nonsense we get at other places. No, this is real vegan. The cream cheese wonton? Made with vegan cream cheese! Whaaaa? Amazing. I highly recommend eating here and supporting this establishment. The owner is super cool and takes pride in providing a great experience and incredible-tasting food. read more

Ordered delivery. Pad Thai woon sen and pad woon sen, both medium level 3. Pad woon sen came with barely any sauce, more than half the noodles were clear (just cooked) and no spice to it.
