Great Thai place with some unique dishes, especially the desserts! Friendly staff and good flavor, would recommend

Our first time at Anchan, but not our last. Of the 10 or so Thai places we've tried in Boulder County, this is probably our favorite food wise. Pineapple curry, cashew stir fry, fresh rolls, and coconut ice cream dessert were all delicious. Their hot tea is beautiful. I will say that the service when we went for Saturday lunch was really, really slow. A single waitress and hostess was managing the entire front of house (and doing a great job), but it took about an hour from ordering to getting our meal. We came with a hungry tiny human and that made for some interesting moments...I would be curious to visit again during the week and just see if it was an off day. But amazing food, lovely decor, and nice staff make this place 5 stars.

Another day, another road trip! A family friend has been recommending this spot for a while now - she makes the trek up from mid-Boulder on the regular, and we decided to make the trek down ourselves. The restaurant is in a quasi indoor strip-mall type place, and was a little hard to find. Once we finally found the location, we walked in to a cozy little area with a waterfall and pond at the entrance. We were seated almost immediately and perused through the lunch menu and the regular menu. I ordered the Thai Tea which includes boba and your choice of milk. We started with a 16oz bowl of Tom Kha at a spice level of 3 and enjoyed that it wasn't sugary sweet like so many Thai restaurants we have locally. The Pad See Ew was my main order with chicken and a level 3 spice - this had a KICK! It was perfectly spicy without losing any flavor, and opened my sinuses with the first bite. My dining partner got the Pad Woon Sen with the same spice level and we both sniffled through our meals, washing away the spice with the Thai tea. I was far too full from the soup and lunch portion to get dessert, but I'll be back to try their blue Anchan sticky rice and mango!

I will start this review with "I rarely give a 5 star reviews.. " we are foodies in the restaurant industry, our experience was top notch !!! Our server Kristen was salt of the earth, authentic with great suggestions . Our favorites at our table of four... Crab Rangoon, Drunken noodles with beef, Pad Woon Sen with shrimp, Black olive fried rice w/ pork, Green curry, Panang curry w/ chicken, Khao Soi soup , we did level 4 spice it was perfect for our palate, spicy but not over the top . Every dish was delicious, fresh, full of layers of flavor. Chef Annie came to check in on us , chat and told us stories of family favorites and how she comes to her own ideas , such as the black olive fried rice( her husbands fav) she then insisted we try dessert , her homemade Anchan ice cream with lime!!! A flower that comes from her villiage , that she has shipped to Longmont to share with her guests. It was an awesome experience, one that we won't forget and will keep going back.

Sorta stumbled onto this place after our favorite Thai place in Boulder was closed due to a power outage. We were happily surprised - and we truly have found a NEW FAVORITE THAI restaurant!! Channing took great care of us and seemed genuinely proud of where she worked (practically unheard of anymore with restaurant staff anywhere), and she told us all about Annie (the owner) who was in the kitchen preparing everything. Outstanding flavors, from the appetizers, to the main dishes - and all the way through the mango Anchan sticky rice as a shared dessert. Only a block west of Hover Road on the southwest side of Longmont. A must try!!

As Thai goes in Longmont, there are not a lot of excellent options. Anchan has some hit and miss. I ordered the jungle curry and it was not my favorite. The red curry is excellent! Careful if your heat selection. I chose medium for Pad Thai and I couldn't eat it. And I use Sambal like a fiend! The food is always ready on time for takeout and the restaurant is very clean and decorated nicely. The shopping center is a little obscure, but very nice. There is plenty of parking with a parking lot.

Just had a very unpleasant experience with Richard the owner of Anchan Thai, as he did with me. I have been eating Thai curry for many years; Thai pot, Thai Basil, Khow Thai; Thai food in Denver, Boulder, San Francisco. I've had delicious MILD curries before. No problem. JUST KNOW before you order LEVEL 1 None from Anchan Thai expect actuality to be LEVEL 3 Medium. For me, inedible for both Level 1 curries we purchased. NO REFUND and lecture from Richard about curry spice. Richard didn't quite understand I couldn't eat his Level 1 curry assuming I had already eaten some. I took him back both full curries. NO REFUND, according to Richard, I should have known better. Needless to say, I was extremely frustrated and rude by that point for spending $86.00 dollars on 1 dish (and a sticky mango) out of 3 that could be eaten. Will never go back. You may enjoy this place, just know if you are expecting a Level 1 None curry you may have the same inedible $42.00 experience I had. Total bummer to be super hungry and having to make another trip out to Whole Foods to buy a second dinner.

Everything was deliciously flavored, I wish I was having this meal again right now They do everything with spice level 1-6, even with the level 6 spice it was still flavorful which says a lot but level 4 was perfect for me! Anchan Thai is my favorite curry I've tried this far! I can't wait to go back Tom Kha soup w chicken - level 4 Red Curry w chicken - level 6 (my bf is crazy) Pad Thai w chicken - level 4

This used to be a great place for Thai take out, but the management has gone downhill…read more I placed an order for pickup at 6 pm. I placed the order 4 hours ahead of time. Yet when I walked in the door they had not even started making it. A few minutes late is reasonable, but waiting 20 minutes past my pickup time when I ordered 4 hours ahead of time is not good customer service. I ordered it well ahead of time because I didn't want to sit around their store waiting for my order. So I'm not sure what the point was of ordering ahead. Also, the guy running the front of the house seemed intentionally rude to me. He asked my name when I walked in and I told him, twice, "Gregory". He found my ticket, the one for the order that had not been started yet. He showed it to me and asked if it was mine, pronouncing my name "Georgie", when I had just said it twice. I looked at the ticket to make sure it was mine, because it could easily have been somebody else's since he pronounced my name so badly. I said, "That's mine, but my name is pronounced Gregory". A few minutes later he confirmed that they had just started my order, again calling me "Georgie". I said thank you but my name is "Gregory". Other people got their orders, and when he handed them their orders he said "Thanks for waiting. Sorry for the delay." When he finally handed me my order he said, "This is your order Georgie". And I could tell that he knew exactly how to pronounce my name. He was just being straight up rude. The food is good enough. But there are other places in Longmont that make great Thai food.

The Longmont location of Boulder County's beloved Thai Restaurant chain has struggled to capture…read morethe flavors and ambience of their iconic Louisville location, and while the ambiance is still a challenge (kitchen/ventilation noise, drafts from the doors), the food is now deserving of the Busaba name! We had their rich and flavorful Panag Curry and their Pad See Ewe. Both dishes provided the warmth and comfort we've come to expect from Thai dishes. On a whim, we ordered their Crab Rangoon for the first time, expecting small fried wontons with just a quarter teaspoon of filling like we've had at other Asian restaurants. And boy were we overjoyed by the tablespoon+ of creamy crabby filling and left wanting more. We still like the ambiance of their Louisville and Erie locations better, but we're glad we have an option in Longmont!

We were so excited to learn about Busaba coming to Longmont after visiting their other locations to…read moreeat in the past. This location does not disappoint !! The staff is friendly, there is ample parking and the flavors are consistent and on point!! We used to go to Jai Thai a lot, and sometimes went to Anchan Thai but there is just something special about the flavors that are cultivated in the Busaba menu that sets it apart and makes it even more tasty. I appreciate that we have so much diversity in our Thai options here in Longmont. If you are a lover of Thai food but haven't had a chance to check out this restaurant yet I really have to recommend it. Their online menu also offers a way to modify foods that you need (thought not all), and you can always call to the restaurant to clarify your preferences after submitting your online order. I do this when I want to order their fried rice dishes without egg in it, they don't offer that on the online order form but are so kind and accommodating when I call it in.
