Server was great, ambience is average, food timing solid. The Cashew Nut Stir Fried Tofu we really liked, very good balanced flavors, lots of sauce. Thai Fried Rice Chicken had more ingredients and flavors than most, very solid. The Pad Sew Eyew was below average, good spice and eggs in it was very good but the noodles themselves were a little dry. Portion sizes were huge for the pricing. Overall good place would definitely consider coming back knowing that currently Thai places around here have similar pricing with slightly smaller portions. I don't really understand this place. A lot of people seem to like it and so I've given them multiple chances but every time I'm disappointed. Their noodle dishes are almost entirely noodles with meager amounts of vegetables and protein. Many of their dishes have strange (drunken noodles) or no (pad see ewe) flavor. Some are ok (curries) but still have meager amounts of vegetables and protein. It's not the worst Thai food I've had but there are better places in Boulder. read more

This is the second time Buddha Tai has mis-managed our delivery order. The first time last month we ordered, and the delivery was made to somewhere in our trailer park but we never got our food. This time we ordered and paid and we never got our food because Buddha Tai never takes responsibility for their failed orders. Already left a Google review but had to add another. This is my favorite restaurant in Boulder!!!! The tofu pad thai (spice level 2-3) is fantastic and is my comfort meal. Best Thai in Colorado. My sister and I have been going to this restaurant for over four years while at school at CU boulder. We are both Colorado natives and can't find anything better than this place. They give huge portions (2+ meals worth in one meal) and have the kindest staff. The Thai iced tea is so good as well. Definitely check it out!!! read more

My favorite dishes are the Buddha Dish, Massamon Curry, and Green Curry. The Pad See Yew was the most flavorless dish I've had in a while. The noodles were not the typical style for this type of dish - they were much narrower than the standard wide noodle - and they tasted expired. There were also hardly any vegetables in the dish. Dear people of Boulder, This is not good Thai food. In fact, it's not even close to being authentic Thai food. Please take a trip to Thailand or NYC or San Francisco to have some delicious Asian food. How this place has good reviews just reflects on the lack of knowledge about what Thai should taste like. I ordered the Phad Thai (more like Bad Thai) and the appetizer sampler. I don't think the Phad Thai had fish sauce in it which is possibly why it didn't taste right. I think I detected tomato paste? Anyway, it was terrible. The appetizer assortment came with four sauces that just left my mouth confused as two of them were bland and indistinguishable from one another. The peanut sauce was ok with the chicken sate and the crab Rangoon was ok. The spring rolls were soggy and bland and whatever the little pastry bags were filled with is a mystery. I don't wish ill on this restaurant. I hope they continue to be as crowded as they were when I stopped by and that they have continued success. The staff was very nice. I have to say, for a Thai place I'm surprised to find such a neat little spot not too far away. I love Pad Thai so of course I had to try it the first time I came, I asked for extra peanuts. If I was honest, its like any normal pad thai, but the thing I truly did not like was the size of the green onions, they were slimy and gross. I just removed them. The second time I ordered to-go at this place and again did the Pad Thai, this time I requested glass noodles, no green onions, and extra peanuts. Most restaurants never look at your comments. Safe to say, I was IMPRESSED by it. They listened to all my comments for the Pad Thai. In the second round I also ordered the super combo appetizer, I asked for extra peanut sauce and that request was denied. I got 4 different sauces and I didn't care for 2/4 of them. In the super appetizer you get: -Crispy Sacks: they are okay...rather have french fries -Crab Rangoons: delicious! -Eggrolls: yummy and crunchy -Chicken Satay: its pretty dry, but if you put enough peanut sauce its not too bad. Overall I'm loving this place even though its a tad farther than Aloy Thai. (ps if you ask for Glass noodles at Aloy Thai they will deny the request, but if you request extra peanut sauce they will give it fo you) If you asked me to chose my favorite Thai place in Boulder, it would be Buddah Thai. read more

It's safe to say that Boulder, Colorado does Thai right. This place is somewhat tucked away among several shops and businesses. We were only able to find it because of my ability to spot random restaurants while driving. We visited during their lunch rush so it was a built busy but they handled the rush very well. The amount of people inside was a good sign. Sometimes that lets you know if the food is good or not. The first thing we were given was some type of sweet and sour bone broth. I honestly am clueless as to what it was but it was delicious. The menu was somewhat limited compared to most Thai restaurants but they had the basics. I ordered Pad See Ewey because it sounded delicious. Pan fried noodles with chicken and broccoli and carrots and a bunch of other deliciousness. STANDARDS vs. SATISFACTION? I really want to give this place 5 stars because the favors are amazing. However, on several occasions I have been disappointed with my order. Yesterday, I ordered Vegetable Panang Curry for carry out and drove home (about 30 minutes) only to find the order was mostly broth with very little veggies (in my opinion). My wife agreed - she actually thought I ordered soup! When I called them today to inquire they were not very nice about the situation. My family went here the other day for lunch and I'm so glad we did! I don't know why this place has such bad reviews because I think that the food here was incredible. We tried many many items including: papaya salad, lamb salad with tofu and chicken, pad woon sen, drunken noodles, Panang curry, And a few other dishes. Everything was so good! I would 100% come here again. The food had so much flavor and didn't feel overly greasy and fattening like some thai food places are. I highly recommend getting food from here. This place is not it. Got three orders of pad thai, fried rice, and spring rolls. Only thing that was remotely okay was the fried rice. The pad thai is literally spaghetti and meatballs. It has such a strong tomato flavor with little to no other spices. They don't even use the typical pad thai noodle; these were way thicker. Bland and bad. Oh, and I almost forgot. Food was horrible. Pad Thai tasted more like spaghetti and the dumplings were inedible. Will never order from here again.

My go-to Thai place in Boulder! The Pad Thai with pork is a must have, as well as the Buddha Golden Bags... always so yum.
