    Drunken noodles with beef
    Nicole T.

By far the best Thai restaurant we have tried in CO. Ate here recently for an early dinner while exploring some stuff in Boulder. The drunken noodles were a favorite and absolutely delicious (added beef to them which was extra $ but worth it). I loved the thai iced tea as well. Yellow curry was good. Not the best we have had but very good. Appetizers were decent. Service was good. Restaurant atmosphere was also pleasant. Bathrooms could be a little cleaner. Prices weren't too bad since portions were larger. I would definitely come again next time we are up this way!

Absolutely delicious! We stopped here as a party of six in a state of absolute hunger. We ordered and the food came out in about ten minutes and was so fresh! The kids LOVED it as well. And the glasses they serve sodas and teas in are so cute. Def come give this place a try if you're looking for some fresh and fast Thai food! Also has a great ambiance.

Stopped by Busaba after a nice afternoon of shopping along Pearl Street - and noting good reviews on Yelp. What an incredible delight it was!

Vegetable egg roll with plum sauce

We have eaten at the original Busaba in Louisville for years but not recently. I was so pleased they have added more locations and especially for this one on Pearl St on my favorite block of restaurants on the west end. So many nice and high quality options. As I said in my review of the original Louisville location, I like the mix of the more southern Thai dishes as well as the central Thai that are more classically Chinese in style. All of their dishes can be spiced to suit your taste. We opt for mild but I've heard their medium has quite a kick and the hot is nearly volcanic. So something for everyone. The shrimp were nicely grilled and the selection of veggies fresh and firm. I especially loved the mushrooms with the ample and tender asparagus. I love that bell peppers were mostly red, for the color as well as sweeter taste over the green. The soy based sauce was well salted, not too much but not bland. I ordered it with the brown rice and though a small up charge , well worth it. My husband ordered the pork sweet and sour and I took a taste and liked it too. Classic sauce, tender meat and classic veggies. We had the ginger tea to drink and found it a bit sweet ( and we were warned it was pre sweetened when we ordered) but wish we could have it plain. My husband lines sweet tea and he would get it again but I will try something else. He also chose the white Jasmine rice and enjoyed. The portions are huge so we have enough left so we can have another full meal. If you bring a bigger group or some with bigger appetites it could be served family style with fewer dishes. I like having "planned overs" so this was good. Our server was excellent and the timing of the food was set well by her. We will definitely return to try more items. The space is really nice, there is a nice bar in the front with views on Pearl and on a late summer evening, the glass wall is completely open.

Items ordered: Veggie fresh rolls, Masaman Curry with fried tofu, Veggie Pad Thai with fried tofu Value: Pricey but reasonable, as large portions make up for the price Service: Food came quickly but servers/the host were hard to find The Review: Five stars because this is a fairly new business with great food and I want to encourage patronage! INCREDIBLE assortment of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. The place is very clean. The food is fresh and flavorful, and they are very conscientious of spice level, with a legend on the menu that explains the levels. A classic dish, the Pad Thai was perfectly cooked with a nice assortment of the typical sprouts and green onion, and a fresh beet and carrot garnish. Drawbacks were the harsh lights, the lack of servers, and the fact that they squished us in a corner even though there were plenty of other tables. Also, important to note that the veggie fresh roll is basically lettuce inside of rice paper, so buyer beware. Drawbacks aside, really great restaurant and food comes out in approximately 10 minutes. Unmatched quality, especially for a touristic area. 5/5 from me!

We love Busaba and always order from their Louisville location. This was our first time ordering from here and it was delicious. The pad see ewe is soooo good and one of our favorite easy, comforting dishes. My husband gets the shrimp and I order the chicken. Both are tasty and I especially like how they cook the chicken. I'd give them 5 stars, but the roti was suuuuuper oily. The flavor is excellent, but just had too much oil that made it a bit soggy and needed to be patted down before eating. Busaba continues to be our favorite Thai spot in Colorado.

    Mussamun Curry with Pork

Initial feel is very positive secondary to friendly, welcoming staff. I was just about to say that the wait was a little long for the food and then like magic, it arrived. The waiter split the rice into two bowls for us (thank you!). The mussamun curry with pork is Great! And... they did not skimp on the pork! Our attentive server knew that we were planning on walking and then stopping somewhere else for another bite. He had the check ready as soon as we finished, so as to not hold us up. Thanks Kaeden. If I lived in Boulder I would be back soon.

The spring rolls were like an oasis in the desert after walking around the Boulder Art Festival on a very sunny day in July. They were packed with herbs and veggies and the peanut sauce really is exceptional. Perfectly balanced to my taste. I knew I wanted mango sticky rice so I kept the entree light and got a cup of tom yum soup with tofu. This too was packed with an impressive amount of veg and protein. The flavor was nice but it was veeeeery salty so I left most of the broth behind. Finally time for dessert. I would have ordered it anyway but when the server said "the mangos are so perfect today" I was fully locked in. Thankfully, it didn't disappoint. The mango was indeed fresh and perfect. The rice was super sticky but not gummy and was soaked with a perfectly sweet coconut sauce. I like a lot of coconut sauce so I could have done with more but it was very delicious regardless. Would try a different entree next time, but overall really good.

We tried it this evening and liked it a lot. I see why it is so popular. But do know they do not have identical menu items to the Denver locations. This fact did cause me to be disappointed when one of the items arrived at the table. My husband loved it though, as he is a big fan of cream cheese which I am not. I only eat items like NY cheesecake and on bagels with lox. What I wanted to try was the roasted duck dumpling but got the fried wonton with cream cheese and duck. It had a good sauce as well as a slice of mango and a pinch of pea shoots on the top. I do love baby pea shoots and though not what I envisioned, I did eat my portion. The shrimp spring rolls were some of the best I have had in a while. I had a hot oolong tea and my husband had a Thai tea. We both liked our drinks which were exactly as we expected. We also had a "small" plate of bbq chicken which was hardly a small thing. A large tasty section of chicken on a bed of lettuce with a side of shredded carrot and cabbage with a very nice sauce. It was perfect for my husband but as I am not allowed chicken skin, it was harder to eat but tasty. Such a bigger serving than we expected, we brought enough home for lunch tomorrow. The staff were friendly, helpful yet not intrusive. The setting was perfect for me and for all as the variety of styles allow for accommodating any needs. Pricing was average for Boulder and more than worth it. We will be back and try more items. Often have lunch with a friend who drives and it will be perfect for that this summer.

The chicken was probably cooked enough, but barely and to the point where it gave me slight pause. The food court that it's in doesn't feel clean, but I don't think that's the fault of Thai Avenue. I used to come here 2-3 times a week for a couple years over 10 years ago when I was a college student, and back then it was easily 5 stars. I heard a lot of people say that the place changed and it's not what it used to be, so I went out of my way to go back and try them again. Sadly it's true that they arent what they used to be. Seems to be different cooks. I wonder where the original cooks went because I want to eat at wherever that is.

Both were genuinely well-executed -- the fried rice had real char and sweetness instead of tasting like a steam-table version, and the shawarma was juicy with a good sear on the edges, not the dry, overcooked version you get at a lot of fast-casual spots. Rosetta runs all eight concepts under one kitchen team rather than independent vendors, and it shows in how consistent everything tastes across stalls. We were at the main-floor bar downstairs, not the rooftop one, and the bartenders there were the highlight of the night. Attentive, fast, and clearly used to reading a group that's celebrating something. This is the spot for a group with different cravings who still wants to sit together -- one person wants noodles, another wants shawarma, nobody has to compromise.
