The common thread across every dish was not inconsistency but uniform blandness. What arrived on our table lacked taste, energy, and intention, as if the kitchen was simply executing recipes without engagement or care. The moo ping should have been a highlight sweet, smoky, caramelized, and alive with char. Instead, it arrived hollow and lifeless, missing the marinade and fire that define the dish. There was no depth, no fragrance, no sense that the cook believed in what was being served. The accompanying rice was merely filler, and an additional order of Thai fried rice continued the same pattern: edible, but flat, dull, and entirely uninspired. My wife's gluten-free Pad Thai with tofu, a dish built on balance and brightness, was especially disappointing. It lacked acidity, sweetness, umami, and spice every note that gives Pad Thai its character. The noodles felt seasoned out of obligation rather than intention. It was food that offered no pleasure and no reason to return to it, ultimately left unfinished out of sheer indifference. This experience was not about spice tolerance, dietary restriction, or personal preference. Five people ordered widely, and the conclusion was unanimous: nothing stood out, nothing lingered, nothing satisfied. When every plate is this muted, it signals more than an off night it suggests a chef cooking without inspiration, without curiosity, and without soul. Thai cuisine is bold by nature. Checked out a new Thai place for lunch. They had some interesting menu items. I tried the tom kha ramen, for something different. I liked that it came with a good amount of fresh veggies. Dish was a bit under-seasoned, could have used more salt and depth of flavor. I ordered medium spice and then added more spice to make up for the lack of flavor. The Grand Pad Thai is a five star! We've also tried the Ramen and Green curry - good but not great. We are interested in finding more entrees that we love like the Grand Pad Thai dish. The ambience is clean and nice but nothing fancy, it's located in a strip mall. Our server is good, basically a one man operation but no problem there. It's always good to try new Thai places, for how high the ratings are I expected a bit more from the other dishes, but we will try others. If you're a Pad Thai fan then definitely try this place out. I love this place- it is a real authentic Thai place with great dishes to try. The satay is not always on the menu, but they have it sometimes, so ask if they have it. I have tried the grand pad thai and it is my favorite- the right blend of sweet and savory. I have also had the pad see ew which was nice and garlicy. I cannot wait to go back and try more dishes. We were in Broomfield for some errands and were really hungry. We were hoping to find a good Thai spot (it was Memorial Day and we weren't sure what would be open). The owner of Bangkok Avenue was working, and you could tell she is so passionate about her food. She gave great suggestions, she recommended ways to top off the dishes, and she provided such great information. It was so nice to get to talk with her and to try out her amazing recipes. We started with the fried dumplings. Loved how crispy they were, and that they were pan fried. I ended up getting the green curry and loved it. The curry has a good kick (but isn't too spicy) and the tofu we added was the perfect addition. The Grand Pad a Thai was some of the best Pad Thai I've ever had. The flavors were unreal, the chicken paired so well (and we loved the mini tofu bites, and the coconut milk and spices were spot on. We just moved from CA to CO, and I am so thankful that this place is close to our home. It is a very authentic Thai restaurant and I enjoy their food so much that I have eaten here once each week since I have moved here! Everything is yummy, and they even have a ramen menu. The star tonight out of the 5 entrees we ordered was the Grand Pad Thai with shrimp. There was a chargrilled almost smoky flavor to the shrimp that was shared throughout the veggies in the dish. We came in at 3:30pm, had amazing service from Kate... expertly prepared dishes, delicately sliced FRESH veggies, tender pork and chicken, and prompt service. Katie recommended the two most popular dishes and we were very pleased - got the Pork Drunken Noodles and the Grand Pad Thai made with rich and creamy coconut milk! I visited Bangkok Avenue because of the glowing reviews that it had received. I must have come on an off day, because I received a less than stellar experience. I ordered the street pad thai. The soggy noodles tasted like they had been hastily tossed in sauce and lacked nuanced flavor. The portion size was at a $13 price point versus over the $16 that I paid for the dish. The service was also sub par. There was only one customer in the store. The server spent most of their time on their phone and laptop. Someone had to come from the kitchen to give me my bill. The space itself is cheerful and light-filled, but after the overpriced and unappetizing meal and poor service, I don't think I will return. read more

I really enjoyed this place! It was pretty quiet and not busy but the employee working at the time was super kind. The restaurant feels comfy and it's nice how much sun light shines inside. The sauce that comes with the golden tofu is EVERYTHING, it was delicious. I also enjoyed the pad thai and thai iced tea as well. Only thing is that I wished they would do different spice levels for their noodle dishes, but it was no big deal because I added the crisp chili oil, which hit the spot. Great place! The Grand Pad Thai is quite good, and the Panang Curry is wonderful: crisp vegetables, copious meat, and a sauce that is to die for - just mouthwateringly good. I'm guessing the Street Pad Thai is, too. They also have the usual three Thai curries - red, green, panang - a variety of ramen bowls, appetizers, etc. The owner told me she uses Pink Himalayan salt - not much, a lot isn't needed - because it enhances the flavor. The service is attentive and knowledgeable, as it should be right now, since the only waitress is the owner herself. They're hiring, interviewing people now. The décor is a step above others in that strip center. It features black-and-white murals of Bangkok and typical Thai street things (tuk-tuk, food vendor, etc.; see pictures.) I liked that they provided metal chop sticks (on request for "chop sticks"), and had an array of four seasonings served with tiny lades with each meal: sugar, soy sauce, dry chili powder, and chili oil. (See pic for chopsticks and seasonings.) The chili oil should be used only if you are a spice fan, but is delicious. Right now, it's pricy for lunch. The owner told me, though, that they will be adding a lunch menu soon, probably at the Grand Opening in a month or so (say, by 1/31/23). Right now they're in a soft opening phase. Selfishly, I hope everybody goes there because I want it to succeed! It's the only place near me (meaning all of Broomfield & surroundings) that has good Pad Thai, and I've been missing it. We got the Tom Kah soup to split, the beef street pad Thai, and the chicken fried rice which were all great! They also have spices on the table if you decide you need it spicier or saltier. The thing that stood out to us the most was the service. When ordering, we mentioned we were going to split the soup and our server delivered it to us in two separate bowls without us even asking! We tried Bangkok Avenue for the first time about two weeks ago, and we've already returned! We normally go to Busaba for Thai but wanted to try somewhere different. On our first visit, I got the Grand Pad Thai, and it was hands down the best pad Thai I've ever had. Very rich and flavorful and the ingredients all tasted so fresh. My husband had the Panang Curry. He said it was really good. We also had an order of the Fried Egg Rolls (vegetable). Very crispy and not greasy at all. On our second visit, I got the Thai Fried Rice and my husband got the Basil Stir Fry. The fried rice was pretty good, but not as good as the Grand Pad Thai that I had the other week. I think my husband preferred the Basil Stir Fry over the Panang Curry, but he's still trying out different things to find his favorite dish. The restaurant is owned/run by a sweet couple. Service was outstanding (very attentive and polite), and the restaurant appeared to be very clean. Tables are spaced far enough apart that the customers aren't all on top of each other, which I appreciate. I just have a couple of nits: Pop comes in a can--it would be better if it was fountain soda with refills. The chairs are uncomfortable (for me, anyway). They are a little bit lightweight and unsteady feeling, and I couldn't sit back without leaning back and looking at the ceiling. Lastly, the portions could be just a little bit bigger.
