This is a super small restaurant with limited menu. Ordered drunken noodle and pad see ew. Food were so good. It's a small menu but it's what makes the food good. A lot of takeout orders. Service was good. The man waiting on us was very nice and smiley. I'd definitely come back. Also, spice level 3 is not for a weak Asian spice tolerance

Fried chicken was crispy and juicy but nowhere near the typical Thai fried chicken flavor. Stir fry was decent.

One of my favorite Thai spots in Broomfield. I don't normally order cream cheese wontons anywhere else, I only love them from Liang's. I love their wings and their shrimp egg rolls too. Their pad Thai, pad see ewe, pineapple fried rice are all great but my favorite on a cool day is their boat noodle soup w beef. I have ordered it there, I have ordered it for delivery, the beef is always tender even delivered, which I was shocked. The service is always great and the space is always clean. Parking lot is a little small by the restaurant but there is ample parking around. Make sure if you're not a spice eater to get 0-2, their 3 is pretty spicy for a "medium".

My kids' extracurricular activities give me the opportunity to try a number of places that would otherwise be out of our comfort zone (translation: I'm a little lazy). Based on its location, its outstanding reviews, and my craving for Thai food, I decided to give this place in Broomfield a try. The restaurant was unassuming and well maintained, it's located next to a pizza restaurant. It was empty when I got there, and the server was really nice. I only ordered one item, tofu Pad Kee Mao noodles. I ordered spice level 3/5 thinking that it might be dialed down for Western palettes, but nope it was FIRE (in a good way). It was freshly prepared with a ton of fresh veggies. The only reason that I am not giving it 5 stars is that I was extremely thirsty after finishing the meal. (I wonder about the sodium or MSG level in the food). Regardless, I plan on trying this place in person or via takeout when I am in the general vicinity. It's some of the best Thai food that I've had in Denver so far!

Omg this place has the best Thai food north of Denver! It's a simple restaurant with only about 6 tables in there. Every dish we got was a 10/10 and everything was seasoned well. We got the pad thai, boat noodles, and pad kra pao. Honestly everything reminded me of the food in Thailand and I like how their dishes aren't too sweet like certain places. Definitely need to come back so I can try the whole menu!

Food is great . Owner is very friendly. Seating is outside only. Cash only sale. But well worth coming out to enjoy.

I've been a long time customer at Jay's Liang Thai Food cart on 16th street. I remember the first time I went there in 2012 and my mind being blown by how delicious the food was. I'm happy to report that the brick and mortar location in Broomfield is just as good! I just came back from Thailand not too long ago and it's been a great blessing but also a curse; I had a lot of amazing Thai food but now everything I've tried here just obviously doesn't compare. Out of all the Thai places in Colorado, Liang's comes closest to the real deal. The Thai Basil always hits the spot with such rich flavors and papaya salad is the same. Make sure to keep in mind that the Thai spice levels are true here (if you aren't good at handling spice, definitely don't go above a 3 on the 1-5 scale). The service here was great as well. Our server was very attentive and made sure our water cups were never empty. Food came out at a reasonable time given how fresh everything tasted. The restaurant is a bit on the smaller side and it can get loud with all the conversation going on but the food will make you forget your surroundings. I am about to head there now to get my Thai food fix!

Great flavors and quantity! Very unassuming from the outside, the drive through threw me off a little. Nice staff, fast service. Level 4 spice was delicious and definitely had some heat, ruined my life the next day but was worth it.

So glad to finally visit the place! It took a minute to open, but glad it is here. It is quite the improvement from what we in the location before. This is the first Thai resturant on the Thornton side, and it is good. The service is very informative and nice. The restaurant is nice and clean. Thai food is always a guessing game on how hot you can go. You do have to consider what peppers they use as well. Thai chilies are smashed in the papaya salad so it is spicier that the chilies they use in the curry. All of it is really good, and can't wait to come back.

4.5/5 I used to be a regular at the 16th Street Mall location and was so excited to learn about this other new location! We got pad Thai with chicken, pad basil chicken, a a spring roll for take out. The spring roll was fresh and the peanut dipping sauce was perfection. The pad Thai was solid as well and was not overly sweet. The pad basil was super salty and while the flavor was really good, we weren't quite able to enjoy it due to the saltiness. Spice levels seemed to be spot on. Will definitely give Liang's another shot!

My absolute favorite Thai restaurant in Colorado. Food is so flavorful. Service is friendly and attentive, the interior is small, but cozy . Can't wait to try everything on the menu!

I think this may have been an old coffee ahop. It seems like an odd place for a Thai restaurant but you shouldn't let that deter you. It's worth it. Go now and read the rest of this review later. When you walk in, it's not what you would expect from a Thai restaurant in America. The walls are pretty bare and there are no pictures of elephants, no food on the walls, etc. it's pretty bare bones. The max capacity is 34 indoors, and there were maybe 10 tables. I ordered the spicy (level 4 of 5) boat noodle soup and a Thai iced coffee. Both were very very good. I was very hungry so that may also have contributed to it. My waitress was kind and helpful and even though she appeared to be the only wait staff, she handled the room well. There was a steady stream of people coming and going, which is a good sign. The ice coffee was great and hit the spot. It was very sweet as you'd expect and how it should be. The boat noodle soup was just exactly what I needed and was a good portion size. There was a nice serving of beef and the flavor was excellent. The spice level was just right. You know when you sweat just a little bit? Yeah that level. Adjust your spice level from there, but also know I have a high spice tolerance. I'd one hundred percent come here again if I was in the neighborhood. It's a little off the beaten path, but also a place to make a trip to eat at. It was so good that I told my wife about it and she asked me to go back and order some Tom Yum to go, so I got a chicken one and a tofu one. Those were both great as well!

This is my favorite Thai place so far! It's not an ambiance spot it has limited indoor & outdoor seating (Maybe 10 tables of 4 total). However if you're a foodie looking for a new Thai spot that is delicious than you should try this place. Keep in mind that their spice/hot scale (From 1-5) is hotter than most places, I like the heat personally but be careful this place packs a serious punch. If you don't like hot then consider ordering a 0 on their scale. I got the beef boat noodles and I absolutely loved it. I will come back from time to time just for that. Their other dishes look equally as good. The lady that serves you is nice and she will check on you occasionally to make sure you're happy. Very recommended for foodies. Happy eating!

The common thread across every dish was not inconsistency but uniform blandness. What arrived on our table lacked taste, energy, and intention, as if the kitchen was simply executing recipes without engagement or care. The moo ping should have been a highlight sweet, smoky, caramelized, and alive with char. Instead, it arrived hollow and lifeless, missing the marinade and fire that define the dish. There was no depth, no fragrance, no sense that the cook believed in what was being served. The accompanying rice was merely filler, and an additional order of Thai fried rice continued the same pattern: edible, but flat, dull, and entirely uninspired. My wife's gluten-free Pad Thai with tofu, a dish built on balance and brightness, was especially disappointing. It lacked acidity, sweetness, umami, and spice every note that gives Pad Thai its character. The noodles felt seasoned out of obligation rather than intention. It was food that offered no pleasure and no reason to return to it, ultimately left unfinished out of sheer indifference. This experience was not about spice tolerance, dietary restriction, or personal preference. Five people ordered widely, and the conclusion was unanimous: nothing stood out, nothing lingered, nothing satisfied. When every plate is this muted, it signals more than an off night it suggests a chef cooking without inspiration, without curiosity, and without soul. Thai cuisine is bold by nature. Having eaten throughout Thailand, we know that even the most modest street stall delivers food with clarity, confidence, and heart. What was served here bore little resemblance to that tradition. Last night (contrary to other nights and lunches in the past) , Bangkok Avenue did not simply miss the mark it stripped Thai food of the very element that makes it special: taste. You know a place is good when we come twice in a row during vacation!…read more We were in CO for the Rocky Mountain Siberian Husky Club specialty and I was craving Thai food. As I hail from CA, we have plenty of authentic Thai restaurants to choose from. As such, I was looking for a small, authentic Thai place near Brighton, where the show was being held. Ponsawan came recommended, and I was immediately drawn to this place especially with its namesake. Some of the best Thai places I've been to have "difficult"-sounding names. It was dinner the first time we went, and we were seated quickly. Our server was friendly, and gave us time to peruse the menu. I went with the pineapple fried rice while my husband went with the pork pad Thai. The pineapple fried rice had a lovely wok hei and there were plenty of fresh pineapples as well. I loved the cashews on the side, and the crispy cucumbers. Portion size was perfect. My husband's pad Thai was saucy and tamarind-y. Personally, I prefer a drier pad Thai, but he enjoyed this, I think mainly because of how strong the tamarind flavor was. Our server asked if we wanted to try the mango sticky rice since she said it was mango season, but we politely declined. The next day, we were both craving Ponsawan again, so we came for a late lunch. The owner recognized us and welcomed us back in. This time, we also got drinks and an app. I went with the Thai tea and my husband went with the Thai coffee. Both were not too sweet and a good strength. The app we chose was the dumplings, which were fried to perfection and came with the most delicious dipping sauce. As far as our entrees, I went with the pork pad kee mao and my husband went with the yellow curry fried rice. Our server apparently heard his order incorrectly and gave him the pineapple fried rice, but apologized and was quick to rectify the situation. As such, I received my food first, and had to wait a few more minutes before we could eat together. The pad kee mao had the perfect amount of spice, and the pork was tender. The yellow curry fried rice again had a lovely wok hei and the curry powder was delightfully pungent. Both times we dined, our food didn't take long to arrive at all. I'd say less than 15 minutes for both of our dishes. They had lunch specials, but for the price point of the entrees, it was a no brainer to just order entrees. The food was super affordable and the portion sizes were not skimpy at all. Not huge, but definitely not skimpy. Ponsawan is easily on my favorites list for the Denver area and we will most certainly be back the next time we go to CO! (I will also need to try their curries, so that is a high priority for our next visit.)
